In Take My Hand - since Charlie was an oopsie baby, how would Benedict and Sophie announce that baby Alexander was on his way?
Benedict and Sophie would have discussed wanting more children together and for Charlie to be surrounded with siblings just like Benedict had (though not to the eight-child extent). Sophie loved seeing how close Edmund and Miles were, not to mention hearing from Violet how much Kate and Anthony's boys reminded her so much of Anthony and Benedict as children, and so she and Benedict decided that once Charlie had turned one that they'd begin trying for another baby; only to end up conceiving Alexander right away on Charlie's birthday. The early stages of her pregnancy were a lot kinder to Sophie this time around and so there were no obvious signs to the rest of the family that she was expecting again. When they reached the twelve week mark, they decided that the first person they wanted to tell was Violet and so on Valentines Day they paid her a visit and encouraged Charlie to hand his grandma a card. With Charlie on her lap, Violet opened the red envelope she had been given by her grandson and cooed over the heart-shaped photo of her and a chubby six month old Charlie beaming at each other, which had been pasted on top of a flurry of red and pink little handprints covering the front of the card. When Violet then opened the card she gasped as an ultrasound slipped out and revealed love from Charlie and Grandbaby #9, and her eyes filled up with happy tears before she embraced her son and daughter-in-law. They had then planned to tell the rest of the family after Colin's birthday (so as to not overshadow him) but during his uncle's celebrations, little Charlie sat next to his mother on the sofa and began kissing her stomach as he chirped "I love you, baby" in a perfect imitation of his father, who he had seen kissing Sophie's stomach and professing the sentiment everyday since they found out they were expecting. The rest of the family were ecstatic that Benedict and Sophie were expanding their happy little family and for the rest of the party all of Charlie's cousins talked to Sophie's barely-there bump in eager anticipation of a new baby (even though Alex was still six months away from being born).

I think I realized why I like Silver despite his character trope being what I hate lol No, its not about him being too boring, its about his character centering around "repaying your family"
In Filipino teleseryes iirc, there's always a character trope for the good kid where their entire motives centers around doing work for their family for their entire life, and the story makes that personality "righteous" "admiring" and should be "what all children should do"
I suppose I hated it as a kid because its trying to enforce a standard🤣 like its trying to influence its viewers that this is how you should treat your parents, even if its good behaviour that this character trope is trying to portray,,, they were annoying because it always portrays that "their effort for their parents was perfect"
But Silver's story isn't like that. I can say that the story reinforces that ""his ideal way"" of repaying Lilia often fails because of circumstances he cannot control. His efforts to repay his parent, often fails, and I think that's what makes Silver really relatable.
I think Silver is convinced as well that what will make Lilia proud and would be him performing splendidly as knight and student(?), thats why he always works hard and he gets saddened when his sleeping condition ruins that hard work (Silver Lab Vignette)
But "being perfect", or even a repayment for raising him up, isn't what Lilia wishes for Silver... What would truly make Lilia proud, would be "just Silver living."
Its like Lilia didn't expect anything from Silver,,, in a "just be yourself" way.... I think during Book 7, this is what conflicted Silver the most (other than the whole Knight of Dawn relateion), that his Father would truly love him no matter who he is or what he becomes.
I also love the fact that TWST added the tragedy of aging in Silver's motive of repaying his parent... Because that truly is a harsh reality 😭 if you want to repay your parents, there's always this looming worry that your parent might not make it in time for them to see you succeed and be proud of you because they'll pass away from age...
I think the way their story reminds that "your time together with your family is ephemeral" inspired me more to actually value my time together with people important to me ykk
So Silver's motivation to repay his parent often ""fails""" because what Lilia wants from him is to just live and be yourself, and that's what the story enforces Silver to do as well. 🥹
I haven't read many stories that dwells this topic as emotional as Silver and Lilia's story... 🥲 Usually the parents in teleseryes will expect something like "at least complete your studies so we can be proud of you 🥺" while that is a good expectation,, it kinda gives off the vibes that the parental love was conditional all along XD. Its never as unconditional as Lilia's imo... 🥹🥹🥹💖💖
Its also seen with what skills Lilia teaches Silver revolving around survival, because he wants him to truly live with your own morals ("own two legs" if you will).
Side note: if there was an option for Silver to be raised by Knight of Dawn, I'd still would choose Lilia to raise him because Lilia can teach Silver what Knight of Dawn never did— speaking up for his own morals— even if the king and the nation displeases it— even if he was "alone" about his correct opinion. That belief that Lilia instilled upon him truly will make Silver live honestly to himself yk...🥹🥹🥹💖💖

"GUYS I THINK VIKING REALLY LIKES HIS SWORD." -solar betweenlands
sigh. and, speaking of spacetime siblings being worrying...
Viking uploaded an uncut version of his perspective of the trial. neat! i was there for it live, and also have been watching everyone's edited versions as they come out, so i wasn't planning to watch it. plus, before the video dropped, he posted a preview with some blurred text that people in the SBK Discord were speculating on, and said this:
i really should stop taking him at face value.
because @amberstormblade discovered, yes, Viking did hide something in the uncut vod.
specifically: there is a bit brushed over in edited perspectives so far where Viking tries to give Avid his sword and Cloneby picks it up instead. Viking corners them and demands for her to give his sword back, and she shoots him down saying she'll give it back after the trial. Viking keeps pressuring him, Cloneby refuses to back down, and Viking finally snaps and kills him.
and then, in the video, this happens.
It's mine. No one else's. Sword, mine. Give it back. My sword. It's special. Don't touch it.
there is something special about Viking's sword, it's just... not something i thought would be relevant to Skyblock Kingdoms.
back when Viking was naming his sword, Solar suggested something specific. back during Dominion SMP, Viking's sword in season 1 was Pointy Object, and his sword in season 2 was the ominously-named Sword of Forgetting.
Summertime Viking's sword is named Pointy Stick of Forgetting.
uh oh.

I really hope we get to see Callum go unhinged and war crimes and murder WITHOUT Aaravos's influence because he talks big about darkness but...
"Messed up inside and I mess up everything I touch". Callum, you have done literally nothing wrong ever, you don't deserve the emo Byronic hero lexical field. But do you know who's EARNED the right to say that?
saves his dying son. But has to kill his mentor for it. His beloved wife is horrified, she leaves him, breaking their family.
ends up shifting the blame on the very baby boy he sacrificed everything to save. He became a monster to save Soren and monsters don't make good parents even when they try.
But had he not saved Soren, he would have hated Lissa for preventing him to do so, and the family would have been broken regardless
inadvertently has Claudia taking charge of his and Soren's emotional well-being since he's too much of a workaholic to do so himself
wants to save two realms from starvation. He does. But not only he fails to rescue the two queens of Duren, his friend dies in his arms rescuing him.
His only friend ends up blaming him for everything that ever went wrong before committing suicide. Viren tries to die for him instead but is rejected
He orders his son to kill the princes, Harrow's sons
He orders Claudia to choose to save the dragon egg over Soren if she is forced to choose. Which is understandable, after all Soren chose to be a soldier, and Viren has proven he was ready to do the same
He destroys Lux Aurea simply by walking in
Soren leaves him
He dies a horrifying death. Claudia, his sweet, treasured daughter, goes through unfathomable sufferings to bring him back, to the point that he realises the only good he can do for Claudia, for Soren, for the world, is to leave it. The world is better off without him and he finally knows it
He tries to apologise to Soren but realises it will only harm Soren even further
He commits suicide.
Meanwhile, what has Callum ever done wrong ?
Crushing already dead slugs.
Come on.

hiiii ^^ beastlife fishie analysis. spoilers ahead. etc etc
okay so. the main point of this is simple. I don't think the salmon head cursed c!fishie. Explaining that is the harder part I think. also i'm going to refer to the salmon head thing in e5 as "the incident" from here on out because frankly i think it's funny
Let's start with the incident. The big day. etc. What happened? Why did it happen? Obligatory third questioning statement? Well. She was gifted the salmon head for her birthday by kiwi(or like. someone in the kiwibird system. -bird system. the birds). Immediately upon receiving it she relives parts of season one and fishie herself doesn't really acknowledge it. The other players definitely notice but im not caught up enough in any other pov yet to like have thoughts on that I'll come back to that point someday. Fishie seems shaken, sure, but she moves on so quickly, especially considering what happened just there. 37 seconds of standing frozen, unresponsive. she recovers in 5 seconds. And seeing how she reacts later on to realizing the memory situation--if she was aware that happened, she would probably be concerned by it. She puts it on for a brief second at the end of the party and takes it off immediately. She's otherwise normal -- well. as normal as she is otherwise up to that point. Because that is also how she acts with pretty much any salmon head, even just kiwi herself.
I raise: Episode one, about 8:20 in. The slow zoom on kiwi as the static overtakes every other noise. This is the *exact* same behavior displayed when fishie receives the salmon head, albeit without actual concrete old video footage style flashbacks. In episode two (28:55ish) the same thing happens when she looks at the salmon head in moch's house, but this time there is technically a flashback -- kiwis grave. Fishie moves on immediately and doesn't acknowledge her behavior at all, and, seeing as it is fishie, im inclined to believe that means she does not know she is doing it. Fishie (when alone) will discuss all of her problems in immense, and usually misguided detail (bestie i promise kiwi doesn't hate you???) to the audience and/or herself. I mean she's not alone in episode one, and it is technically presession, and i guess getting struck by lightning is a decent distraction from your problems, but in episode two? She is completely alone. There is nobody with her. She went looking for moch and moch is not there. She still doesn't acknowledge the fiveish seconds she is completely frozen. This happens again and again with kiwi and salmon heads.
And then that leads you to e5. The incident. She's. well. she's doing worse. 0:50. "This will distract me if i leave it up." This is the first mention from fishie herself about how fucking weird she's being, and even then she doesn't seem concerned. I think she does not realize she's being so so incredibly weird about it. If the static and freezing is what's referred to as "distraction" then keeping it in her inventory makes it worse actually so it wouldn't really make sense unless the way it is distracting her is NOT the. well. whatever the fuck is wrong with her (affectionate). After she puts the head on there's the static all the time but for a short brief amount of time she's like significantly more normal and i don't really know if that means anything i just think it's really funny.
And then we all know what goes on during the incident i'm not analyzing this video frame by frame. um. i could. but i am not going to right now. And then she has the conversation on the table with kiwi where she like is normal for 5 minutes. Like genuinely the most. i guess stable? fishie's thought process is is like in the moments directly after the incident. She is immediately understanding with the antikiwi situation, they come to an agreement that they're like. okay now. "thank you for everything and im so sorry i couldnt do more" / "it was short, but it was nice" "i knew what i was getting into when i married you" etc etc and then they kind of rush it at the end because people won't stop dying. But then fishie is fishie and takes it in the complete opposite extreme (from. um. whatever was wrong up until now. to "oh kiwibird must secretly hate me because" and then there's no real good reason she's just like that) and it's also an issue. And i think the season two memory thing is also a part of that but this is so long already and so i'm not going to get into it rn. So bringing all of this back to my original point: the salmon head was not the cause of the curse(?) because she's been so weird all the time forever and the salmon head thing was just like. an effect. of whatever went Wrong(tm) in the season transition. like the head was a vessel to Be Worse about it but i feel like it would have worked with any salmon head she got her hands on and that it happened to be kiwico was a coincidence and also that the head wasn't cursed at all there's just something deeply wrong with fishie s3 in general and uh yeah 👍
I'm so sorry this is so disjointed i had a thesis statement and everything. alas

I can imagine Ben trying to keep Charlie’s fall a secret but later that night the “guilt” overwhelms and he breaks down and tells Sophie.
He'd manage to wait until Sophie had returned home, relieved to see her beautiful smile as she reunited with her two favourite guys, but with the relief came immeasurable guilt of what had happened during her time away.
"Oh, I've missed you so much!" Sophie cooed as she cuddled Charlie and peppered kisses to his chubby cheeks. "Did you have fun with dada?"
"He rolled off of the sofa!" Benedict suddenly blurted out, unable to keep it to himself any longer, and Sophie darted her head towards him. "I was changing him and I looked away for one second to take a photo for you and when I turned back he was suddenly on the rug and I took him straightaway to see Simon and Simon said he was fine and that there was nothing to worry about but then he didn't cry for like eighteen straight hours and I was terrified I had broken him and I went to Simon again but he said Charlie was fine but I'm so so sorry Sophie, please don't hate me!"
Sophie stared at him, her lips gently parted after listening to his word-vomit, not paying any attention to Charlie sucking on a lock of her curly hair.
"He rolled over?" she uttered.
"Yeah, he rolled off of the sofa, that's how he ended up-"
"Oh, Ben!" she gasped and clutched his arm, her eyes bright with awe. "He rolled over! He rolled over!"
For a second he wasn't sure why this was the detail she was hung up on until suddenly her enthusiasm infected him and it finally clicked; their son had rolled over for the very first time.
"Oh!" his mouth fell open. "Oh my god! He rolled over!"
"He rolled over!" she squealed and looked to their son in her arms. "Did you roll over all by yourself, Charlie?"
Charlie gurgled in response. I sure did, mama!
"Oh, Ben!" Sophie beamed as she cuddled into his side. "Oh, let's see if he can do it again!"
And so she laid Charlie down on his back on his play mat before she and Benedict sat down on the floor by him, both of them watching him intently, Sophie's hand clasping Benedict's in eager anticipation. For a couple of minutes Charlie kicked his legs about aimlessly, making little sound effects as he gave his watchful parents a happy toothless smile. It seemed that perhaps he would be perfectly content chilling on his back, but just as his parents began to think he wasn't in the mood to perform with an audience, Charlie leaned to one side and then -
"Oh!" Sophie gasped as their four month old son flopped onto his front right in front of their eyes. "Oh, Ben!" her hand squeezed his.
Benedict was dumbstruck by their son as he wriggled his body against the floor, patting the mat with his little hands and fluttering his legs as he gurgled at his parents. Look! I did it!
He couldn't believe in all his panic that he had skipped over such a milestone in their son's infancy but now that Charlie had proved what he was capable of, Benedict's worry that his minor fall had caused him any long-lasting damage simply fell away.
Benedict then found himself on the receiving end of Sophie's kisses as she celebrated their baby's achievement before she plucked Charlie from the mat and kissed him adoringly too.
"Get you phone, get your phone!" she squeaked. "We'll get him to do it again and you can send it to your family!" And Benedict didn't need to be asked twice as he grabbed his phone while Sophie replaced Charlie on his back on the mat.

haikaveh... save me haikaveh...
i KNOW it's been talked about to death but. the haikaveh research project. it literally haunts my mind. i cannot get over the implications. alhaitham going through his school life as someone that most people dont even really know about because he keeps to himself and doesn't socialize, with kaveh being the one exception to that, finding his way into his life as his Best Friend, and then leading to alhaithams one and only time he participated in a research topic. his bio says he only ever did ONE joint project!!! one!!! the one with kaveh his best friend and i think also his only friend at the time!!!! and then it ended in not only the project falling apart but also alhaithams only friendship. kavehs best friendship. they were each others closest person. they had no family around - alhaithams parents having died when he was young and his grandmother dying before he joined the akademiya, and kaveh's dad dying when he was young and his mom having moved to fontaine. like even if you dont look at it through a romantic lens it's still undeniable how important they were [and are] to each other..........
i'm getting off track but my point is very specifically for alhaitham, the one time he got close to someone, made a friend, even agreed to join one(1) group project ever, it ended in disaster. it led him into a fight so bad that his one and only friend said he regretted that friendship!!!! it was so bad alhaitham left the project and he and kaveh didnt speak for ages until they just happened to run into each other again at the tavern!!!!! like obviously it has to be incredibly awful for both of them but i just think how this probably had alhaitham in the cynical mindset that friendships and collaborations like that might just never work out for him because the one time he let someone into his life, it blew up on him and he was all alone again. even though alhaitham never seems to care much if people dont like him, that clearly cant still apply to someone he was exceptionally close to. like if he didnt care he woudlnt have been the one to take his name off the project and mutually not speak to kaveh...... kavehs words are the ones that hit the most significantly to alhaitham.......... kaveh is said/implied to have had at least some other friends while at school / people knew who he was, but not so much alhaitham. people didnt know him and the ones that did just knew he didnt socialize/he was not easy to get along with. he only had kaveh and then, for a while, he lost him too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so mad about how desperately into pan I am. he was specifically made to fuck me up. they dangled him in front of me like 'hey would you like to see a sad clown trickster with emotional intimacy issues and a heart of, if not gold, then some mysterious alloy with qualities not at all unlike those of gold at the end of the day?' and I went 'boy would I!' and now I'm lost. I'm on my knees he's like if reyes vidal was actually redeemable instead of just a 'release my man he did do all of that but I don't care' situation
