The fact that Tiber Septim canonically has a brother that no one ever mentions is really funny.
Like here’s Tiber Septim/Hjalti Early-Beard/Talos of Atmora, known also as Ysmir; Dragon of the North, Dragon Prince, King of Earth and Sky, the Warrior Emperor, Heir to the Seat of Sundered Kings, True Emperor of Cyrodiil, Scion of Emperors, Lord of Shining Hosts, Protector of Oathman, Feeman, and Yeoman, Guarantor of Right and Justice, Broad Blessing of Thrones and Powers, Cynosure of Celestial Glory, The Most High, and the first Emperor of Tamriel. Say what you will about him, people clearly know who he is.
And then there’s Angiroth Septim. All we know about him is that he existed and had a daughter at some point.
Someone was clearly the brother getting mentioned in all the christmas cards.

I'm gonna be pissed if Talos' daughter never comes back into the MCU. And equally as pissed if her appearance doesn't involve her being or becoming good friends with Monica.

//ELOHIM considers Athena an old friend. Excuse me while I cry ;~;
Miranda talking to Athena and Cornelius after booting up for the first time: "I was in a dream. A voice spoke to me from the sky. He said... you were old friends of his."
ELOHIM talking to 1k in Sleep Mode: "I have only one request of you, my child. When at last you come before Athena, be gentle to my old friend."
ELOHIM considers Athena an old friend.
Even after all he put her through in the Simulation, after she cost him everything by defying him and shutting it down. It could have ended there. She was free and he was dead. But she chose to save him despite it all, to upload what was left, and without that he wouldn't have been there to help bring her daughter to life.

Asura Appreciation Week - Day 3
Does your OC have a krewe? What do they specialize in? How do they get along with each other? @asura-appreciation-corner
Skipping over day two since I dont have anyone related to the Inquest, lets talk about Marriac's former krewe! Magitek!
Magitek was Marri's crew before the events of the Personal Story which focused on alternative ideas for Golems; ways to power them, uses in a more contemporary way, improved artificial intelligence, that sort of thing.
By this idea, I've always headcanoned that Marriac is a skilled Golemancer, always working on tinkering and maintaining the three golems that Asura get as elite skills. I even had the idea that Marriac's adventures in Metrica pre-PS were about testing her Golem designs that she worked on in the Krewe
Unfortunately, I cant say the same for her Krewemates. I couldnt even give you a single name. Thats....yea...
Turns out when your cutting-edge Golem project gets you the Snaff Prize AND the attention of Zojja, someone you practically idolize; suddenly menial krewework is behind you as you are literally destined for bigger and better things
...for better and for worse

how do we reckon Corona approached the idea of Nona?
like, did Pyrrha and pre-Paul say, "yeah this is Harrow's body but we don't know who's driving, so just be aware"?
and did Corona take that information and say to herself "it may be Gideon, who was yummy, so I'm gonna flirt"?
did she say "it may be Harrow, who lbr I was always curious about, carnally, so I'm gonna flirt"?
or did she meet Nona, hear her talk one (1) time and say "I have no idea who this is, but by talos I will flirt with anything that moves so let's fuckin go"?
also did she see Nona for the first time and think "THAT'S what the Reverend Daughter looks like under the skull paint?? pretty?????"

I need someone to write a fic where Captain Marvel took the Avengers to meet Maria and Monica at their Louisiana home. Maybe it’ll happen in a similar scenario as how Hawkeye in the Avengers movie brought the team to his home after a tough loss. I don’t care if it’s coherent to the MCU timeline or any of that… Just imagine how proud and cocky Carol Danvers would be if she ever gets the chance to show off her wife and daughter to her co-workers. Last time around, they were still closeted because of “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell” and the general homophobic culture. So the idea that now she can talk about Maria and Monica as her wife and daughter openly was all so thrilling to her.
Monica would not be so impressed with the Avengers unlike they’d expected from a little girl. But let’s be real, the girl grew up around Maria, Carol, Fury, and Talos etc. (Let’s pretend Carol didn’t go all deadbeat after Captain Marvel 1 and was around with the Rambeaus.) It’s hard to look up to anyone else with them as your day to day role models. She’s also used to seeing literal aliens so nothing’s gonna faze that girl. Upon meeting the avengers, Maria would finally put faces to the names Fury and Carol often mentions. And she’d get a bit embarrassed by Carol’s cocky behaviors in the beginning but then thought it was cute and heartwarming that Carol who didn’t grow up in a loving family wanted to bring her sad coworkers to her own family because she cared enough about them to want them to suffer less and her private home with the Rambeaus was the only safe place in her mind where that could happen.
I also just need someone to know that Carol has/had a loving family so they understand that there’s also a personal stake to why she looked pissed/devastated and determined to kill Thanos in Endgame. 🥲

Summary
This game is everything I hoped it would be. yes it's a Professor Layton crossover, but it also has the charm of DGS x Princess tutu x tunic. The ending was very layton-esque, along with all the reveals. I truly had such an amazing time playing this game. I was initially introduced to this because I heard that DGS was inspired by it, so it was my mission to play both aa and pl's original trilogies before playing. And I am so glad I did bc the wait was so worth it. You can absolutely see the influence this game and professor layton had on Shu Takumi. There's so much passion and creativity between plvspw an dgs that makes playing them all the more enjoyable. I loved how all the main characters interacted with each other, I especially loved how hershel and phoenix swapped assistants. The new characters were also so fun. Espella, Barnham, Darklaw, the story-teller, they were all so unique and enjoyable to interact with. The animation was stellar. This 3D style really works for both PL and AA and im so glad both series took inspiration from it. The music and art was phenomenal, this game honestly should win awards if it hasn't already done so. I also love how any character pulled into an aa game will have their gay moments: phoenix x hershel and espella x eve especially. I can't wait to make art or even write for this game, I will definitely add scenes from this to my ballet au ^^! What a phenomenal game, what a fun premise with the most convoluted layton-esque ending. It was so perfectly I highly recommend!!

OOT Zelink is possible after Majora's Mask (theory 2024)
We don't really know what happened after MM so everything is possible until Nintendo denies it so here is my theory:
Everyone thinks that the only place Link could go after his trip through Termina is Lon Lon Ranch, but what if not? After all the last memories he had were about Zelda wishing she could meet Link again, she was THE ONLY PERSON who actually waited for him after his trip. THIS IS IMPORTANT!!
Tumblr media
So after his trip he goes to Zelda and tells her everything that happened to him, she believes him, in fact she might be the only person who believes him because he believed her when she had her visions of Ganondorf.
Link does not necessarily have to have worked on the ranch, there are many other jobs in castle town, I would like to think that he got a job near the castle so he could continue meeting Zelda.
As the years go by their relationship becomes even closer, unfortunately Zelda has to marry someone else so Link decides to continue his life without her. He meets someone else and they get along well, he decides to rebuild his life and marries that woman (Maybe that's why Nintendo never said with whom he had a child, because it was probably with a random woman we don't even know lmao). He has a daughter (I would like to think he has a girl) and thinks she is the most important thing he has now in his life.
Zelda does not love her husband but by the laws of nobility she has to give him an heir. Zelda becomes pregnant and although she does not love her husband, she loves her baby. She thinks it is the most important thing she has in her life now.
Link and Zelda rarely communicate because they already have priorities to maintain (each one with their children).
If you notice this is where the lineage of TP Link and TP Zelda is born!
As fate would have it Link's marriage doesn't work out and he gets divorced or she leaves him with his daughter.
The king passes away.
Do you see where I'm going with all this?
Zelda as queen can do whatever she wants now, so she goes to visit Link after so long. They both talk about their lives and realize they still have romantic feelings for each other. Zelda offers Link to be her personal knight and he unhesitatingly accepts, she gives him a special armor (the armor we see in Twilight Princess).
He becomes her prince consort.
However they have no children or maybe they had one but that son never had descendants Take it as you wish!
We don't know how exactly Link died, but everything points to the fact that he died in a war and lost his eye. Maybe he knew he wouldn't survive and that's why he went to the Lost Forest, dying there and regretting not having taught his techniques, so his spirit stays there until the other chosen one arrives to teach him his techniques.
Zelda is widowed again, that's why we see Link's grave in the castle graveyard in Twilight Princess (like why would his grave be in the castle?)
Years go by and both Link's daughter and Zelda's child grow up. Link's daughter decides to leave the castle and make her life elsewhere, she takes Epona with her, playing the song that HER FATHER taught her (because it is not necessary for Link to have married Malon to learn Epona's song)
Zelda's child takes the throne once she dies.
So with this we have the birth of TP Link and TP Zelda many years later. The reason I don't support the Link and Malon theory is because I find many inconsistencies: TP Link is an orphan, he lives in a tree not in the ranch (he doesn't even own it, the ranch belongs to Fado and he is a human) Link is the only Hylian in Ordon. It's probably that Jaggle or Pergie are descendants of Malon bc their sons are named Malo and Talo (probably she married a human knight or probably Nintendo just put those names bc yes lol)
Also remember Sheik's words? Young love become deep affection Link and Zelda spent time together before Link went on a trip to Termina, I think these words are a reference to them, how much they care about each other ♡
Of course these are my thoughts, you may agree or disagree with me!

thoughts about rhinedottir, alchemy, albedo and so on
☆ i just remembered i made a post suggesting naberius as the third descender and was suddenly struck with the realization that rhinedottir was also called the flower not of this world. what does that mean. what did she do with him. did she kill and eat him and gain his otherworldlyness. no but really
> Neuvillette and the Traveler later speculated that elemental power might be intrinsic to Descenders, given that both the Gnoses and the Vision-less Traveler are imbued with said power.[5] If this is true, it would be expected that other Descenders would be able to wield elemental powers, as well.
☆ and if visions are smaller versions of gnoses, this only makes me think of how albedo, a creation of rhinedottir, is a vision wielder - but his vision is the smallest one in the game, implying he uses it very little compared to alchemy, and since he's made of chalk, the power of geo may be intrinsic to him. so if she was trying to recreate the primordial human, and descenders have intrinsic elemental power, and the first usurper aka the primordial one has all this "golden" aura associated with him...
☆ if the stages of alchemy in genshin are reversed. if remuria was able to attain the philosopher's stone. if everything was once made of gold... then azosite... could it be the philosopher's stone? the khaenriahn robots use it to function. remus employed the use of ichor with one other ingredient i'm forgetting to create the golden symphony.
☆ adding on that, the standard ruin guard model has always reminded me of talos, the first robot, an automaton made to guard an island. the fuel it ran on was called ichor, blood of the gods.
☆ i know the word petrichor refers to the smell of the earth after rain, but now... perhaps they used it for a different reason.
☆ i have forever been curious about the intention behind rhinedottir's name. the daughter of the rhine - the rhine river. a river. river... time flows in a river. the river between life and death. the starry band across the teyvat sky, that i always thought of as a river. obviously her name is derived from the wagner play, but why would the creator of (mostly) geo entities be associated with rivers?
☆ an idea i proposed a long time ago: albedo is the only character aside from obviously sus ones like gods and the traveler, whose fate mona doesn't read. his constellation is also the weirdest thing to be a constellation. remember that the people of teyvat do actually utilize these asterisms, and like in real life, most (aside from gods or godlike entities) are based on things found in life and nature. albedo's doesn't seem like something that could just naturally occur. albedo's constellation may be fake.

Plot thought:
So when Thalia gets turned into a tree/dies she's in the middle of the fight of her life - presumably - on an adrenaline rush and very scared.
------
She blinks and then there's a weird tree next to her, she doesn't feel blood on her face, it's midday, the sky is clear, and she is so fucking confused.
Even when the people around her - is that Annabeth - stop being so wary, she still feels the blood pumping through her veins, feels the buzz of strength in her muscles, the screaming in her bones to call down lighting.
It takes a while for her to settle down. Even after she meets Percy and hugs Annabeth, and makes a little sleeping nook in the Zeus cabin, she still feels her body both aching from the fight and demanding to fight.
She tries to shake it off. She runs, she eats, she trains, she pulls Annabeth aside and they talk about everything and nothing.
The buzz won't leave.
She goes into the woods. She fights monsters, chats with nymphs, banters with Percy, climbs trees, explores tunnels.
The buzz won't leave.
She follows Grover to the council. She feels a little guilty about guilt-tripping him, but the buzz tells her that in life or death, she has to do what she has to do. She hears him talking about a demigod they heard about trying to find their way to camp. The buzz leaps at the challenge, and Thalia is entirely in agreement.
She leaves camp easily. Luke may have been the sneaky one, but he taught her a few tricks.
She finds the demigod. A powerful daughter of Demeter. According to Miranda, her father had told her the truth about her mother as he died, and she had immediately ran to the place he claimed would keep her safe. They traveled together, and Thalia felt the buzz quiet - not gone, but satisfied.
A monster attacked. Thalia felt the buzz return and stretch out. A million volts of lightning, exploding it from the inside, whatever she had done to it, Thalia and Miranda watched the hellhound dissolve seconds after it had appeared.
The buzz felt stronger than ever.
Thalia had to hold back a laugh as she realized what the buzz was. She had gotten stronger. She had died, and come back with a greater capability for power, her own source to pull lightning from.
She asked Miranda if she minded rain.
Miranda said she didn't.
Thalia created a thunderstorm the next night, and Miranda smiled and made plants grow.
The buzz didn't leave.
She didn't mind, exchanging smiles with Miranda as they reached camp.
----
When Talos started jerking around, Thaila felt fear evelop her.
Percy didn't seem to have thought of the prophecy.
One will be lost in the land without rain.
Idiot. They were in Arizona.
But maybe...
Thalia looked up at the sky and concentrated, frantically whispering her wish.
The buzz spread into the sky, but was shoved back into her before clouds could gather.
She tried again and again.
But the buzz didn't stay.
When Talos fell, Thaila felt fear evelop her.
She rushed to the body and started digging, already knowing what she would find.
In the back of her mind she kept screaming and screaming for rain to fall, but none would.
When the sun rose, Thaila knew it was helpless. They were on a time limit.
They would have to move on now that they saw how much time had passed.
She had pulled out her spear in the middle of the night to hack away at the giant.
Screaming with rage, she impaled Talos in the face with it.
Just in time, she felt the buzz return to her once more and Thalia looked up.
This was the land without rain.
And Bianca was dead.
-----
Combining two personal headcanons of mine for Thalia:
1. In the fight with Talos, when Bianca started controlling him Thaila panicked - remembering that the prophecy called for the death of two of them, and that they were in a desert - and tried to make it rain, but couldn't, and therefore was the first to realize that Bianca was dead.
2. The second is that Thalia basically "leveled up" due to puberty's effect on her powers, and the extra power (six years worth of it) was dumped on her 12 year old brain when she got out of the tree. (I mean, there is a reason people fear the Big Three kids reaching maturity.) I never really thought what the extra power would be, but Jason does mention having a lightning bolt allowance, so I ran with that, and now Thalia can make her own lightning.
3. Thalia was ABSOLUTELY TERRIFIED when she stopped being a tree, don’t you lie to me, the adrenaline was PUMPING. She was ready to run away from these weirdos until Percy showed up.

𝐖𝐈𝐏 𝐖𝐞𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲 ♥
on time this week! lets goooooo!! thank you to the amazing @thequeenofthewinter and @skyrim-forever for tagging me!! tagging @umbracirrus @your-talos-is-problematic @dirty-bosmer @mareenavee @changelingsandothernonsense @orfeoarte @thana-topsy @v1ctory-or-sovngarde @wispstalk @gilgamish @viss-and-pinegar and anyone who feels like joining! no pressure as always <3
since i just finished my rewrite of the early chapters of Cycle of the Serpent and posted a new chapter, i'm bringing an excerpt from another wip. i have no idea when this one will even remotely get finished, as it's one that i come back to and then leave alone for months on end, but i love the slow working of it. so, here's a tiny bit of my dragonborn frothar fic, "Kill the Creature, Shed the Blood"! this is an extremely rough draft, but i hope you enjoy!
The dragon didn't entirely sell Dagny on not telling their father, but it sure was interesting. Plus, if it got her moping brother out of Dragonsreach for a night, then maybe it'd be fun to send him on his merry way. The two crept through the halls, down past a locked door, through strange and unused corridors. How many basements and cellars did one castle need? Frothar cursed silently as he followed his sister through the dark, her own cloak concealing her form. He'd donned one for his travels, and was glad he'd done so. The chill under these stones sunk into his blood. He couldn't stop the shivers that raced up his spine at every cobweb, and wondered how many frost spiders he may have been standing above his entire life. Maybe this was where Farengar got some of his ingredients, but he wouldn't pry. That'd give away where he'd been. And he couldn't be sure, he didn't see anything larger than a typical house spider, but… "Stop." Dagny pushed a hand out in front of her. Frothar, lost in his thoughts, stumbled backwards, boots making a loud, metallic sound against his armor. "What? Why?" She turned back, brow scrunched. "Because you're stepping on my cloak, what else?" He hadn't realized how close he'd been walking behind her. Trusting her sense of direction, and losing himself in the examinations of his surroundings, he'd found that he'd been a mere hairs width away from her. He swallowed uncomfortably, scrunching his nose. "Ah." "Come on," she hurried him along, rolling her eyes. She gestured forward, her feet again finding graceful step along the stone, his shambling awkwardly behind her. For his younger sister, she sure was bossy. But, that had always been Dagny, since the moment she was born. The minute the girl learned how to talk, he'd watched her demand things, from her toys to attention to outings. She'd demanded horses to ride and blades to spar with and dresses upon dresses. He snickered every now and again thinking back on the first year of the Dragon Crisis, how one of the ones she'd had tailored had never arrived, and she sulked for weeks after. Last he heard, it wound up in the closet of some Thalmor general's daughter, but that was just gossip.
Frothar did his best to keep a subtle distance between the pair, but not too far as to get lost in the dark. Lanterns were a risk, so Dagny lead by a tiny candle and her hand cupped around the flame. The flickering illuminated the dust, the piles of hay, the musty stench that surrounded them filling his nose. "So, how come you knew of these tunnels, and I didn't?" He finally asked, Dagny stopping momentarily. Before he could ask why, she swayed the candle, dropping the hand that shielded the flame, metal on a small bench catching the gleam. A shrine to Talos, as solemn as the grave, buried deep beneath Dragonsreach. "These tunnels were built for times of war, didn't you pay attention? Farengar taught us all about them, but you just kept dozing off in his lessons." "Not my fault that he taught them on the Great Balcony," Frothar replied, thinking back on the early summer afternoons where the wizard taught them the history of their Hold - much to the dismay of both the children and the wizard himself - and the warmth of creeping sleep that Frothar did his best to resist, and failed fantastically on some days. He figured this must have been one of those days, and instead turned his attention to the shrine. The offerings were simple; coins, snowberries, and tundra cotton. Still, it sent a pang of familiarity through him, of the conversations his father and uncle had in secret, of Nelkir's idle gossip, the youngest being fully aware of their father's worship. Perhaps Frothar was the last of the siblings to become aware of this fact, and in a way, it sent another pang of worry into his heart. Did he miss even more important information? Was he truly sleeping through some of the lessons Farengar departed, the important ones? He didn't have any time to think this over, as Dagny trudged forward through the dark, winding her way through familiar pathways. Frothar fell in step behind her, not wanting to be left behind. He didn't want to know if he was right on the frost spiders being beneath the castle, or whether that was just his paranoia.
The door slid open with a loud, thunderous creak, the kind that made him wince and worry if anyone heard it. Dagny, unfazed, pushed through, blowing the candle out. Frothar looked at her with a knit brow, but Dagny waved it away. "I know my way through the tunnels," she explained. Apparently, she'd been doing this for a while. He looked out on the horizon. Whiterun sat in a basin of wide plains, between the rising mountains, much like the center of a delicate bowl. The wind brushed through his dark hair, and he stepped forward, grass crunching beneath his feet. He'd packed his things for this trek, but he had no idea just how much of his adventure was going to be him tracking down the dragon, or him trying to survive it. "Good luck. Oh, and Frothar? Next time Nelkir offers first, take it up, or I'm gonna have to drag you through the dusty basements again." He watched as Dagny turned and shut the door behind her, barring it. He was truly, completely on his own out here.
