GOD I LOVE CHAPTER 3 IT WAS SO FUN TO READ I CAN SAY SOO MUCH AB IT THE HAMMOCK SCENE WAS SO SILLY LIKE WHY ARE THEY ALWAYS FIGHTING LIKE KIDS??😭😭 THE FOOD FIGHT?? LMAOOO WHY ARE THEY SO DRAMATIC?? When Hopper came i knew whats gonna happen and LMAO STILL IT WAS SO FUNNY. I imagine Mike and Will looking so terrified like they saw their worst nightmare. Will and his mom scene was so warm and lovely ofc it was little tense too but god i love how Joyce is just so supportive and lovely i need to see her more. Also while i was reading that scene i get reminded of the Archer by Taylor Swift bc this song is always in any au Will Byers coded. WHEN HOPPER TOLD THEM THAT THEY ARE GONNA BE IN ISOLATION CABIN I LAUGHED SO MUCH. I just imagine how in this room the bed is gonna be only one and Mike and Wills reactions are gonna be like” HELL NO”. I cant wait to see what Mike thinks about all of this in next chapter. thinking about how well the folklore love triangle fits the will-mike-el situation. wondering how people can think will is august when he OBVIOUSLY is not because he literally is THE epitome of betty. What’s a fic idea that you have but haven’t written yet?

Oh lord I have so many. Rockstar Mike and Photographer Will is one of them. Mike's a rockstar and Will's the photographer on tour with him..I sort of did a Stonathan one-shot with the same gist during Stonathan week but I really like this idea for Byler too. Another is one that a friend gave me the idea for that's for a non Stranger Things fanfic and is a 5 plus 1 involving priest kink lol. Those are probably my top two out of all the unwritten ideas.

What’s your favorite line(s) or scene(s) that you have written?

I have so many so I may do a top 5 list here starting with my most fave to least fave.

Avery's coming out scene to her mom in Chapter 55 of Weightless. She was drunk and just embarrased her conservative christian mom and I really loved that scene for so many reasons.

Taylor telling Avery he loves her and their first time together in Chapter 15 of Tangled Up In Blue

The entire Taylor Swift/Taylor Hanson one-shot. Everything about it is my fave.

Zac spanking Avery in Chapter 11 of Just Your Last Goodnight. I normally don't write spanking into smut but I really liked this scene.

hey there anon. T-T first of all it's making ME cry that you're gonna cry. touch me like you know me made me so emotional and actually, as i was writing it maybe not so much, but after i have been sitting with it for a few days i am more emotional over it. i think it was lot more personal for me than i might have realized as i wrote it and imagining these characters in this moment really made me sad. imagining them in a situation like this is so heartbreaking, but also i think----in tmlykm there is grace and love and healing and that is so beautiful and there's something about finding that after fighting and struggling so long like maybe mike and will would have, in their own personal ways, in this story. i have decided i LOVE re-connection fics of mike and will finding each other again in their 30s or hell, maybe even later than that after something that kept them apart. it's just beautiful. like i said i could write it a million times.

i am alas, not a fan of taylor swift's music. i have probably given her first albums and evermore a try, and have come to the conclusion that it's just not for me, although i do find "seven" to be a beautiful song. very nostalgic and can certainly work in a byler context very nicely.

as for the songs you mentioned, i listened to both, and as for byler i think tis the damn season might work nicely for something. i will definitely @ you....i might be able to conjure up a nice oneshot revolving around that. i love taking requests so let me. it might be a seven/tis the season combination if that's okay.

i might not be a fan, but as for taylor swift, here's a fun fact..i went to elementary school with her, hah! it's a strange, small world out there.

Okay, first of all it’s never to much because I absolutely adore talking about stranger things.

DISCLAIMER: I am not trying to attack anyone or make anyone feel bad these are just my opinions. I will tag this accordingly.

Hopper- DILF, the end.

Okay, but in all seriousness I absolutely love Hopper. I love his development and his desire to protect the people he loves. I don’t care what anyone says, Hopper is a great dad. He isn’t perfect (no one is) but he always did his best to protect El. Once she came into his world, she become his world. One of my favorite moments with them was in season three when they were at the mall and he told El that she, “didn’t have to do this” (I’m paraphrasing) meaning fight the monster thing the mind flayer made. He always let her know there was an option not to use her powers, which was something that she had never had before. Also another one of my favorite hopper moments was when he basically threatened Mike. I don’t care what anyone says that was hilarious.

Stranger things as a whole:

Is it perfect? No, but no media is. It is extremely enjoyable and I love it. It’s extremely endearing and I love how all the scary monster stuff is contrasted with the kids being goofy and being friends. This has quickly become one of my favorite shows and I forgot how much I loved it until I watched season 4 and went back and watched seasons 1-3.

Ships:

I have many many thoughts on this. I’m just going to do the mainish ones so if I leave any out I’m sorry.

Jopper: Absolutely perfect

Stancy: I am going to make some people mad but I feel like a large majority of Stancy shippers view Nancy as some sort of consolation prize for Steve. I can see why people ship them but I think it does a disservice to their character development to have them get back together. In the wise words of Winston Schmidt, “don’t be a backslider”

Jancy:(is that the ship name idk)

He took pictures of Nancy when she was naked without her knowledge or consent. “Oh but that was a long time ago so much happened since then” I literally don’t care. He barely apologized and they just never talked about it again. It’s super weird. I love Jonathan and I don’t think he is a bad person. I just think being in a relationship with someone who did that to you is super weird. This is more on the writers for how they handled it tbh.

Lumax: Absolutely perfect. I adore them with my whole heart.

Ronance: I absolutely love this. It’s very wonderful.

Vicky x Robin: They are super cute!!! They have really good potential and I am curious to see where they go with that. Also having similar quirks does not mean they are carbon copies of each other. Calm down people.

Steddie: Amazing. 10/10. My wonderful beautiful friend @tyrannusbasiltons writes fic for them and it’s amazing.

However, a lot of the shippers need the calm the fuck down and stop harassing that poor actress that plays Chrissy.

Eddie x Chrissy: SUPER CUTE!!! I love the idea of it and it’s very sweet. Also they have very cute fanart.

Mileven: They are very cute!! I do enjoy them, not as much as I used to though. They have a very sweet pure teenage love.

Byler: This is a very cute ship. I support Will Byers in all his romantic efforts even if I believe he could do better. One of my favorite pastimes is watching Byler edits to Taylor swift songs. My personal opinion is that Mike is Bi. I think there is real validity to this ship. It would be cool if they could make it cannon but in all honesty I just want Will to end season 5 happy with a boyfriend. Doesn’t have to be Mike.

Also this is conflicting cause I absolutely adore El and want her to have the whole entire world. I do think it would be good for both El and Mike to date other people though.

I love how forgiving and understanding she is. Mike treats her like shit all of S2 and yet she still keeps trying to be his friend. El is cold to her when they meet and yet she still admires her and is never mean to her, they become fast friends as soon as El approaches her. I also love her humor.

Anything Kate Bush. All the songs on your Max playlist especially Dead Girl Walking by Jensen McRae. This is Me Trying and Dear Reader by Taylor Swift

Yes ofc she is top 6 favorite characters.

4- Would you write about this character?

Yep! I have a little bit, I have a madwheeler college roommates fix planned and I'm planning on writing my version of her S4 letters.

5- What do you not like about this character?

I don't think there is anything? I mean I don't love that she broke up with Lucas 6 times in S3 for silly reasons, but she's a kid so I'm not actually upset with her for that?

6- Favourite thing this character has said?

Okay okay she has so many but I think "There's more to life than stupid boys" takes the cake because to me that's our tomboy character embracing femininity and acknowledging just what she said, girl's live shouldn't revolve around boys. Also just such an important step in El's independence and their friendship AHH

7- What do you like most about this character?

This is kinda the same as #1 huh? Well. I also like how she's good representation of someone dealing with grief, abuse, self blame, and depression. Her experience is so realistic which is what makes her story S4 so compelling.

8- Do you think this character is underrated or overrated?

Underrated. Not that she's super underrated I think she does get a good amount of appreciation, but she needs more. She's also misunderstood by a lot of people.

9- What’s your favourite headcanon(s) for this character?

Favorites are that she's bi and that she and Mike become really close friends when they're older.

Honestly I only read Byler fics so she's always background. So I don't really have recs 😔

The outfit she wore in the graveyard is my favorite outfit of hers, I want it.

See #6 but also when she asks Dustin if she joins Hellfire does she get a cool shirt.

16- What do you think would improve this character? Like, character-arc wise?

Well if I could go back and change the past, I'd show more of her complex feelings towards Billy in S3. Moving forward though, in S5 once she wakes up I think we need to see her actively trying to be more open. She knows now that pushing people away is dangerous, but that's not something you can just switch off in your brain, she'll need to work at it.

17- Have you ever had a crush on this character…?

Nope. But my 14 year old self probably would have. I wanna be her best friend though she's so cool.

18- What’s something you associate this character with? E.g. a certain colour, object or scenery?

I associate her with the color green that her shirt is in s4 the one she wears under the brown jacket at the creel house. I associate her with skateboards. I can't look at a skateboard without thinking about her cuz I am not normal.

19- What would the show/book/movie be like if this character wasn’t present? (if it’s not an OC)

Oh God. El would still have no personality of her own and be in a completely codependent relationship with Mike with nobody to hold him accountable for the way he's treating her. El would be fucking miserable. S4 would be terrible. Max was the best part of S4 hands fucking down. Well her and Will, but mostly her. And no Lumax? Kms.

She and Lucas have such a beautiful fucking relationship like the Duffers really got me out here caring about a straight ship??? (Bi4bi so not really but you know what I mean.)
