Back at it again with my weekly ‘I miss Echo’ post

Holy crap. I doubt this theory hasn’t already been talked about but what if the Imperial clone assassin is a clone of Crosshair?!? A clone that wasn’t programmed to have the “defective” or dissident nature?

That would just make such thematic sense since Crosshair is coming to grips with who and what he was this season. A doppelgänger of himself mirrored and an image of what he could have been with the Empire fully formed in a “non-defective” version of himself is *chefs kiss*.

I know lots of people want it to be Tech buuutttt I can’t see the writers going that route. However the symmetry of Crosshair having to figuratively and literally having to face who he was and could have been with the Empire is an amazing piece of storytelling. A Crosshair, who seems to be weaker because he is struggling with the one skill he was known for, but realizing it’s his family, his brothers that will help him be better, and stronger, and who help him overcome his trauma. A Crosshair who will come face to face with who he almost was and who will reject/kill that part of himself.

I am there for it.

No but it's...

the way they naturally fall into eachother's roles when the other isn't there.

the instinctual head-tilt when Crosshair stabilized his rifle on Tech's shoulder, as if they'd done it a thousand times before.

It's the fact that Tech clearly told Phee all about his brother.

It's the sad, fond smile on Crosshair's face when Omega said Tech made her memorize all the plans ("of course he did").

It's the way Tech knew exactly where to look for that mirror.
