Advertisement for Tenshi Doumei, a 1998 game developed by the software division at TGL, the same group that brought us the Farland Story series. Hidden beneath the fairly poetic cover art, I regret to say, is an utterly prosaic MechWarrior tactics affair. Artwork likely by Yukina Terahara who is credited as character designer and because the style is reminiscent of her work in Tilk: Aoi Umi kara Kita Shōjo.

It's all your fault Pt I
yoru x fem!reader
18+ only
warnings: shooting, mention of murders, murder, blood, swearing, human experimentation, mention of deaths, naked body.
words: 2565
a/n: new fanfic for several chapters. there will be love-hate with a hot japanese guy. inspired by some songs walking in tiktok. there is no special semantic importance in russian phrases in the fanfic, you can not translate. and also the reader knows thoroughly two languages - russian and english.

Traveling to the far northern part of Siberia was no joy. The huge drifts of snow and the bone-chilling chill reminded Yoru of the mission on Icebox. He awaited orders to move on. Brimstone had recently received a report of a lab containing a radiant. There were no details, even Cypher couldn't dig up anything good. What was known was that it was a young girl who was related to one of the scientists involved in the case. Had the Kingdom gotten to this? The boy waved his head, brushing the thoughts away. Need to focus.
Killjoy and her instruments were studying the surroundings. Something, and the Russians were good at hiding secret laboratories. How could they think to place it in the center of the taiga? No sane person would think of doing such a thing.
In an instant the joyful voice of a German woman, who seemed to have found the location of the entrance, was heard. Putting the patrolmen to sleep had been easy, they had managed it half an hour ago. Their bodies were lying somewhere in the snow and had long since frozen, as the agents had put their thermoforms on over their clothes. They would be less visible in the forest, and warmer anyway. The frost here is comparable to the cold of Antarctica.
"Let's get started,” - Killjoy unlocked the entrance with a special card and the automatic door slowly opened, revealing the sight of several steps down, heading for another locked door.
Sova nods to Yoru and he obediently follows. Clove, who had volunteered for this mission, made their way to the front of the group with an easy gait.
"If you behave like that, they will immediately guess that you are not Russian, " - Sova remarked. - "Russians don't smile at work. They suffer."
"Ugh, how horrible they are, " - said Clove, after which they calmed down a little.
"Let's shut our mouths and get down to business, my ears are freezing to hell,” - Yoru grumbled unhappily.
The building looked unfriendly from the inside and even looked like a modern bunker. Sova and Yoru kept aloof, maintaining the appearance of unperturbed guards who had returned from patrol. Clove held Killjoy's hands, which were cuffed together. She was an 'infiltrator' who was to be placed in the local 'jail'. But with the help of her robots, she would easily get out and get the information she needed if necessary. The guys planned to make a commotion, and the germanic woman would take care of the technical part and information under this turmoil.
Surprisingly, the corridors were quiet. Strangely quiet. Usually the lab labs were crowded with people scurrying about, busy with business.
Yoru exhaled, looking around the interior. The signs in the unfamiliar language said next to nothing. Sova clearly understood their contents, but didn't pause. Apparently we hadn't arrived at our destination yet. The cameras in the corridor looked far from advanced. The Russian agent said the guards in Russia were mediocre. They are usually slack, even at important facilities. Yoru smirked.
"It'll be easy."
"Не говор "гоп", пока не перепрыгнешь,” - Sova said quietly in his native tongue.
As they approached the central area, people began to appear. One of them even came up to inquire about the strange girl they were leading.
"Американская шпионка, " - Sova answered briefly.
" Ромка, чего с тобой? Ты простыл?" - The man bowed his head incredulously". - "Голос какой-то осипший."
" Да, что-то прихворал."
"Тогда бросайте ее в изолятор, а затем тебе бы передохнуть."
A few dead people obviously wouldn't be much of a problem for such illegal and anti-human laboratories. Killjoy had successfully hacked into the system, triggered an alarm that set the whole building off, and also figured out the location of the target they were now near the door. Clove was busy covering her back while Sova unlocked the door using the fingerprint of one of the dead men. The door opened heavily.
Inside was a capsule filled with a strange radianite-colored liquid, with a girl inside with many wires and tubes connected.
"Whoa, what is this? "- Sova scrutinized the capsule, figuring out how to get the girl out of it.
Yoru only observed. The girl was in a fetal position, completely naked. Apparently in some sort of induced coma. Her skinny body spoke of the fact that she was underfed. Whether this was due to lack of funding from Kingdom or the scientists' own whim was unknown. Nevertheless, her form looked quite attractive, making the japanese man distracted for a moment from the situation going on around him. His dick seemed to be getting hard.
"Don't yawn,”- Clove waved in front of his hand.
"We need to shut down the life support system and smash this thing,” - Killjoy shouted, firing a few bullets somewhere ahead of herself. - "Yoru, Sova, give me a hand. I'll handle the shutdown."
Sova pulled out a knife and stabbed the glass several times with all his might, testing it for strength. Nothing. Apparently the material is good, shockproof. Yoru sighs irritably and looks around and notices a red box on the wall in the corner. It has something written on it in russian, but most likely it's a special device for breaking glass in emergencies. Taking this thing, which looks like a mixture of an axe and a knife, the guy strikes the capsule with all his might, which causes it to spread a web of cracks.
"Once again,” - Sova said.
"I know without you,” - Yoru snapped at him and threw a few more blows.
The glass bursts, and with it liquid spills out in all directions. The unfamiliar girl falls to the bottom of the capsule, but Yoru manages to grab her before her naked body makes contact with the shattered floor. Sova quickly disconnects all the devices and notices the strange collar around her neck.
"What an abomination,” - Yoru didn't particularly like the liquid that was dripping off the girl.
"I think this thing has tracking capabilities, too. Let me take it off,” -Killjoy pulled out some kind of device and unlocked the collar in a few seconds, which fell loudly to the floor. -" They'd put that much weight on that slender neck? That's terrible!"
"Let's get out of here quickly."
But immediately, there was a scream that threw everyone back against the walls. A powerful sound wave was coming from the stranger. Yoru was thrown painfully into a wall with some protrusions, which made him growl and grimace in frustration. Sova and Killjoy were less injured and immediately assumed a fighting stance.
You breathed deeply, trying to steady your breathing. Your temples were throbbing like hell, and your whole body ached-somebody had abruptly shut down the support system, and judging by the splinters on the floor, they'd done a pretty rough job of it. You grabbed your head with your hands, and then breathed a sigh of relief - there was no damn collar around your neck. You are free. Your eyes catch movement in the neighborhood and you see people you don't know, clearly not from around here. They're pointing guns at you. But those guns are no barrier to you. Your ability to control sound will deafen these people in no time. You take air into your lungs and let out a scream, which is amplified many times, making everyone around you cover their ears and instinctively close their eyes. You grab the robe hanging nearby, slip it on, and run down the corridors. It doesn't matter where - away from this nightmare.
Along the way, you're confronted by the dead bodies of most of the inhabitants. Thankfully, they haven't touched you and your chance of survival is increased. Your feet are covered in blood, but you don't mind. As you wander the corridors, you look for an elevator to get to the top.
With your super-sensitivity to sound, you feel a noticeable fluctuation in space, which is expressed in the lowest decibels. Something was wrong and you didn't know what it was. The coveted door was nowhere to be found and you were starting to get annoyed. Had they changed the layout? Or was the data they had originally shown you not correct?
Stopping at one of the posters, you studied its contents. It showed emergency exit options in case of emergencies. Looks like the elevator wasn't that far away from you. An emergency elevator. You smile and for a minute your stomach twists, making you grab your stomach and vomit a weird-looking slurry. It looks like a few drops of that radionite got into your stomach. There's a ripping sound nearby, and you turn to look at it. One of those strangers appeared in front of you out of nowhere. He was wearing a strange mask associated with Japanese mythology.
"Got you, bitch,” - he wheezed. - "You burst our fucking eardrums. I'm not going to treat you like a helpless baby after this."
"Back off,” - you say, and direct the sound wave of your voice toward him, but he disappears. Can he teleport?
You rush off down the path you're on, ignoring all the other things. The important thing now is to get out, and what happens next doesn't matter. You'll find whatever you need.
Once at the elevator, you immediately start pressing various buttons trying to call the elevator as fast as possible. It obediently rises from the minus floors. You wait tensely, listening to the noises around you. You feel the vibration of breath near your ear, then turn sharply, about to use your primary weapon.
"Shh,” - your mouth is covered with your hand. - "Your powers are useless now, kusotare (idiot). I've got you and now you're coming with me."
You tense up with all your might, and then you bite the guy's palm, making him hiss and pull his hand away, but the other one grabs you by the throat. You look around frightened, unable to make a sound. The elevator beeps its arrival and you smirk. You don't have to use your mouth to attack with sound. You gather sound waves with your hand and direct them towards the stranger. He flies a few meters away from you, after which you run inside and press the conk going upstairs. The guy doesn't have time to teleport to you before you take the elevator upwards.
With a sigh of relief, you lean against the wall and try to catch your breath. You didn't expect such a twist of fate in your life. Instead of taking you to work after graduation, your father took you as a lab rat and conducted all sorts of experiments on you with the help of radianit. As it turned out, he ruined your mother that way, too. Soulless bastard, you wish he were dead.
Your eyes watered at the memory of your mother. You looked up and blinked several times. If you go to the police-these Kingdom people might hush up the case and lock you up in another lab, continuing their experiments and brainwashing. Then what do you do? You didn't know. You didn't even know where the damn lab was, but you assumed it wasn't in the center of the country, but somewhere far away. Sparsely populated and far from friendly.
The elevator stops and the doors open. An endless snowy taiga opens up to your view. The cold immediately chills you to the bone, making you wrap yourself more tightly in a light medical coat. Still, it would have been better to stay down there, wouldn't it?
The neighboring elevator also opens and you spot a painfully familiar and hateful face.
"Y/N! Dear daughter!" - he smiles playfully and takes a step towards you.
You instinctively reach forward.
"Don't you dare come near me, asshole."
"Well, well, well," - he keeps his hands at a distance looking at you. The elevator closes and rides down. - "Why are you like this, my darling? I want what's best for you."
"Good? You fucking psycho killed my mother and now you're gonna kill me? One more step and you'll be torn to pieces."
"Your mom was too old for all that, so it went very badly. But you're different. Look", - the elevator immediately opens up and out of there comes the stranger who was chasing you along with some short haired girl? (I know Clove is non-binary, but we're judging from the perspective of a reader who doesn't know). -" Soon people will arrive and we'll fly to a safer place."
He took a step toward you, not even paying attention to the people behind him.
You warned.
He starts to say something, but you manage to catch the threads of sound waves in his throat and form them into a lump. You pull it over him and the man's throat vomits mercilessly. Blood stains the snow-white snow with a scarlet palette. The wheezing and coughing sounds your once father makes, trying to grasp at the last chance at life, but you only watch his demise emotionlessly. You would have liked to make his death even more painful, but there was no way - you had to run away from these people. But where to?
"You're going to run to this snowy grave? Well, good luck,” - he smirked smugly, folding his arms across his chest.
You hesitated for a moment. I'd rather die in the snow than be taken by one of those crazy people. Your feet automatically ran deep into the taiga. The cold burned your whole body, but you ran. And the temporary heat generated by your body's movements helped you warm up a little. But with every minute you felt your body weakening and your limbs ceasing to obey. In an instant you stumble over your own feet and fall into a snow drift. You breathe heavily and feel like you're about to fall into oblivion.
"Where'd you run to, kusotare?" - A stranger appears in front of you out of nowhere and squats down. He stares at you intently.
"Are you here to kill me? Then do it quickly. I've already been tortured."
"I have no business killing a weakling like you. "- A jacket falls on you and you're lifted off the ground. The snow still clinging to you is cold, but the warm leather jacket they wrapped you in is starting to warm you up. - "We're here to pick you up. Another piece of baggage that will drag our progress down."
"Ha-ah, fuck you,” - you don't have time to speak before you're dropped into unconsciousness.
"Caught her?" - Clove peered in Yoru's hands in surprise, trying to see Y/N's haggard face.
"Can't you see? Or did you not only have holes in your ears, but also in your eyes? "- throws Yoru, and then puts the girl on a special couch in the airplane.
"How cruel you are," - shakes his head Clove, then sits down next to the new future agent. - "And she's cute, isn't she?"
"I've never seen anyone scarier," - the guy shakes his head.
"Your friend doesn't think so,” - Killjoy remarks. - "You should wear looser pants, puberty ulcer."
Yoru only makes a disgruntled noise and sits down a little further away from everyone. He pulls out his cell phone and starts fiddling with it. Killjoy checks on the girl's condition and then Sage, who arrived with the helicopter, joins her.
Looks like someone is going to be made fun of in the near future.

Paleontology Job Opening!
If anyone is looking for a paleontology job, this one in the Green River Formation in Wyoming is hiring! It's a lot of 52-MYA fish. TONS of fish. Very occasionally, there's other stuff like bats, birds, and very early horse ancestors.
$19/hour
Full time with federal benefits
App due November 25, 2024 or when they receive 80 applications (whichever comes first, so hurry!) Requirements:
One year of experience required (paid or unpaid, professional or volunteer) in "the fields of paleontology, geophysics, or geology; assisting fossil preparation, field work in paleontology, paleontology research, paleontology database management, paleontology monitoring, paleo art, or specimen management of fossils; assisting with natural resources research projects; compiling and analyzing scientific data into reports; operating complex sampling, monitoring, and laboratory equipment; or using computer programs such as databases to compile, store, retrieve, analyze and report resource management data. Experience as a laboratory mechanic or in a trade or craft may be credited as specialized experience when the work was performed in close association with physical scientists or other technical personnel and provided intensive knowledge of appropriate scientific principles, methods, techniques, and precedents."
Successful completion of at least a full 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree (a) with major study in an appropriate field of physical science, such as paleontology, geology, earth science, earth history or (b) that included at least 24 semester hours in any combination of courses such as physical science, engineering, or any branch of mathematics except for financial and commercial mathematics.
I don't know if paleontologists usually have to have higher levels of education, but I think this job is called "physical technician (paleontology)" to evade that.
If you're interested, go ahead and send in an application sooner rather than later. You can always withdraw later.
This is very close to me, so if you have questions about life here (that aren't easily Googlable) I'm happy to help! It's quite rural. If you're wondering what the rental market looks like, here's a Facebook group where people post rentals. I'm mostly JTM (just the messenger) but I may have a little more insight.

🕷️ABOUT MY🕷️
🕷️SPIDER-VERSE 🕷️
🕷️REALITY🕷️
Alright. Let's do this one more time...

My name's Lindsey Maxwell. And for the last 4 years I've been Earth-1634's one and only Cobweb.
How I got bitten is thanks to shenanigans my boyfriend and I were up to. We were headed for this party to celebrate our college graduation when we decided to detour through an alleyway. We got a little... distracted. I'm sure you can take a guess at the distraction.
Anyways, this funky looking spider crawled onto my hand and bit me. I dunno if my sudden reaction to feeling it on my hand is what made it bite, but it did and it actually sort of hurt. Made it kind of satisfying to swat the thing off. Mood was officially dead after that and we made it to the party.
That wasn't the only thing to happen to us. Literally a week later my boyfriend, Edmund Parker, got the bright idea to drag me along to see what the laboratory he worked at was hiding in the basement.
Low and behold, it was experiments involving aliens... So that's how Earth-1634 got to say hello to their Venom. It was weird at first, but Ed got used to the symbiote being around. I did too.
Being the only two heros tackling every supervillain and alien trying to attack New York was rough. But when our Earth's Avengers came into the picture we ended up being two of the first in the group. The rest includes our versions of Thor and Loki, Dan Barnes (Our Captain America who would have been our Winter Soldier if things had gone differently), Tasha Stark/IronMaiden, and Xavier Banner (Our Hulk)
The first time we met other Spideys, it was kind of crazy to see how many of us there are across the multiverse. One of the first details we'd noticed was the rarity of our situation. The fact we're both technically Spideys from the same Earth... And dating.
Ed and I are both 28 and married now and have our daughter, Maisie Parker. We often bring her with us when meeting up with the others so she and Mayday can play.

Writing Scientist Characters
this post is mainly an excuse to post a certain list of lab supplies I've made for a friend and infodump about lab work. but feel free to use this as a little resource when writing characters who are scientists and/or lab nerds. who knows, maybe it'll be of use.
General thoughts
Many people think it's a stereotype that scientist or nerd characters talk using complex technical jargon. While that is true to an extent, there actually is some kind of lab jargon. It varies across different labs and fields, but one thing they have in common is that it seeks to simplify, not the other way around.
gelelectrophoresis becomes elpho
microbiology becomes mibi
deioninized water becomes aqua dist
biochemistry becomes BC
sodium hydroxide becomes NaOH
They will probably not call a glass of water "silicon dioxide and h2o".
...and more. feel free to get creative. If you're writing in any other language than English, you can throw in one or two anglicisms as well. Also, most scientists will never gatekeep their work, and in an opposite fashion, will not shut up about it unless you make them. And no, most chemists do not know the entire periodic table by heart, only the most relevant elements. (main groups and a few commonly used metals of the subgroups) When it comes to characters doing the lab work, keep in mind that there are a lot more people involved than the scientist themself. Most scientists are more occupied with paperwork and data analysis, it is the laboratory technicians and assistants that do most of the practical work. They often have more lab experience than the scientists themselves.
Things you can have your lab nerd character do instead of making random chemicals explode
writing a lab report (and losing their mind over excel)
degreasing the glass bevel stoppers
removing the permanent marker from beakers (labeling is important)
complaining about the lack of funding of [their field] research
cleaning glassware
preparing specimen for examination
googling the most basic equations for their report
checking if the glassware and utensil collections are complete

I am aware of Victorian donor-conceived people that have attempted to or taken their own lives,” Ms Dawson said. “These feelings are complex and often completely caused or worsened by the practices, mistakes, treatment by clinics and traumatic encounters donor-conceived people experience with clinics,” she continued.
In a powerful plea to the federal government, two Australian mothers are calling for urgent legislative reform of the nation’s fertility industry after claims that an 11 year old boy attempted to take his own life following the discovery of a IVF error.
Demands for national IVF laws and donor database
Anastasia Gunn, a Queensland mother, and Katherine Dawson, a national advocate for donor-conceived rights, have penned an emotional letter to federal Health Minister Mark Butler demanding the establishment of national laws and a donor database to regulate IVF procedures and prevent further heartache.
Ms Gunn, whose family has been at the centre of an IVF baby swap scandal, claimed her son’s suicide attempt was directly tied to the discovery that he and his siblings were not fully related by blood, a revelation that emerged through DNA testing after the children developed serious health conditions.
“We want the minister to realise that laboratory mistakes have real human impact throughout generations,” Ms Gunn told The Saturday Courier Mail. “We want everyone to know that.”
Her son, who suffers from a host of chronic medical issues including hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, severe chronic fatigue, and autism spectrum disorder, now battles long-term chronic pain.
Ms Gunn and her partner, Lexie, are currently suing Queensland Fertility Group over claims that the wrong sperm donor was used in the conception of two of their three sons.
The emotional and physical toll has been immense for their child, who has struggled not only with chronic pain but with the emotional impact of his disrupted genetic identity, so much so that they claim he attempted to take his own life.
“Imagine a boy that young being so sad, not only about his physical pain but the fact that through DNA testing he found out that all three brothers were not fully connected with the same blood,” Ms Gunn said.
“That has been so hard on him, he feels a deep sense of lost familial connection.”
Ms Dawson, who co-authored the letter to Minister Butler, has echoed these concerns and cited multiple tragic cases in which donor-conceived individuals took their own lives due to emotional trauma caused by secrecy, mismanagement, and lack of access to genetic information.
“I am aware of Victorian donor-conceived people that have attempted to or taken their own lives,” Ms Dawson said.
“These feelings are complex and often completely caused or worsened by the practices, mistakes, treatment by clinics and traumatic encounters donor-conceived people experience with clinics,” she continued.
“We are asking our health minister to step in to protect current and future Australian families from this irreparable and profound damage.”
The call for reform comes in the wake of the resignation of Monash IVF CEO Michael Knaap, after two separate cases involving devastating embryo mix-ups, one in Queensland and another in Victoria.
Ms Gunn further revealed that her eldest son, now 18, has been denied access to the identity of his sperm donor, a breach of national health guidelines. Advocates argue this lack of transparency is unacceptable in modern healthcare.
For Australia’s LGBTQIA+ families, who often rely on assisted reproduction to create their families, these errors are not just technical glitches they are deeply personal, life-altering breaches of trust. The emotional impact is compounded by the community’s historic struggle for recognition, equality, and access to healthcare that respects their unique family structures.

@lemonadesys here is the short 1,400+ summary for the Mostly alphys and kinda sans sci centered au lmao
Also I drew something for it back in January I forgot about
So basically I just really love alphys lmao
I called this au Labswitch because sans and alphys technically “switch” labs
in this au sans is the next royal scientist, by accident. After Gaster and his followers disappearance, Sans ended up as the royal scientist instead of disappearing with the followers. That’s because he was just an intern at the laboratory at the time and wasn’t a part of the group of Gasters followers.
After their disappearance Sans, and every one else, forgot about the previous scientists, Sans becomes the royal scientist because, well, because there were no one else left. Luckily he is quite capable and smart and took on the role of the R scientist with little to no hardships.
Until Asgore asked him to continue to work on human souls, and since he didn’t do the initial research on the souls that took a while for him to master and in the end resulted in him overworking himself down to the bone. After seeing Sans fall asleep at work numerous times Asgore suggested they hire an assistant for Sans, which Sans (begrudgingly) accepted.
Here comes Alphys with her robot with a monster soul, impressing both Sans and Asgore and meeting all of the criteria and beyond. She is immediately hired and becomes Sans’ assistant, helper, advisor and close friend.
Sans, now with Alphys, continue their work on the human souls, and soon they have a breakthrough.
Alphys extracts Determination from the human souls. The power that their whole research was based on.
They start experimenting with flowers first. One of the flowers disappears. Over all the flowers were a half success.
At this part in undertale asgore asks monster families for fallen down monster in the brink of dusting for Alphys to inject determination to them for soul research. But since Alphys isn’t the Royal scientist she can’t make these kinds of requests from the King, only Sans has that kind of authority, and Sans doesn’t agree with this just yet.
Alphys thinks they should conduct this experiment as quickly as possible, the flower was proof that Determination works. Sans wants to wait and try to conduct more experiments even though the next logical step would be to experiment on monsters, but the potential for the experiment to become unethical kept him from proceeding with it like Alphys wanted.
So Alphys has no choice but to comply with what Sans thinks is right and they continue to experiment on more plant life, even if the results always ended up inconclusive.
Alphys, frustrated by the lack of progress, goes behind Sans’ back and requests Asgore for fallen down monsters, even though she technically doesn’t have the power to make this request Asgore trusts her and does as requested in the name of progress and their freedom.
Sans, before becoming the Royal scientist, used to live with his younger brother Papyrus in the capital city “New Home”. After becoming the R scientist, he had to move to the laboratory and started living there instead, leaving his brother behind to live alone. He often visited Papyrus, having lunches together and sending letters to each other. But after his soul research started he visited less and less, so with Alphys’ arrival he finally had more free time to visit Paps again. Sans being on his Asgore mandated break was the perfect condition for Alphys to smuggle in some corpses.
She injects the bodies with determination, nothing happens. She keeps injecting them with DT. This has to work or she’s astronomically fucked, in other words, fired.
Sans comes back early catching Alphys in the middle of her experiment, but before he could scold her the bodies start waking up. Instead of scolding her, he apologized for stalling so long and that he should have trusted her to be right.
Of course it couldn’t have been this easy. The monsters bodies started melting into each others, amalgamating and creating unholy forms, disappearing and appearing in the dark halls and rooms of the laboratory.
Alphys was devastated. Going behind her superiors, her friends, back, and doing that to those poor monsters...she can’t live with herself with that.
Sans tries to comfort her, saying that one way or another this would have happened eventually, they would have done the experiment soon enough together. But Alphys wouldn’t listen or believe his words, she’s the one that should be blamed for all of this and she...she can’t show her face here anymore. She has to leave and she can’ go back to Waterfall, everyone knows her there.
Sans, feeling bad for her, has a suggestion for her.
The reason for his visit to his brother was that Papyrus is moving to Snowdin, and he was looking for a roommate, specifically Sans. But Sans can’t go with him, he is the R scientist he can’t leave even if he wanted to at the moment.
He suggests Alphys move in with Papyrus. They know each other and Sans trusts Alphys enough to let her live with his brother, and to look after him. Plus no one in Snowdin knows her, all the letters from the families of the fallen down monsters would be addressed to the lab in Hotland.
Alphys accepted his offer and quickly moved in with Papyrus. Paps was happy to have a roommate again.
Sci was once again alone in the laboratory, with more work than ever. He ended up shutting himself in the lab, put all of his soul research aside, trying to find a solution to help the Amalgamates. He ends up neglecting his brother, no more visits, since Papyrus lives so far away now, and he can’t find the time to read his letters to him anymore, let alone send his own.
Meanwhile Alphys, shuts herself inside her own room, rarely coming out. Until Papyrus encouraging her, pushing her to go out as much as possible, encouraging her to interact with the locals etc.
She’s often annoyed with his persistence, but also grateful for it, because if not for him she would have… She’s grateful to have the brothers as her friends. Soon she discovers the basement of their house, and being a scientist at heart she starts her own independent research… (BOOM labswitch)
Mettaton barges into the laboratory looking for Alphys. Instead he finds Sans, alone, and surrounded by nightmarish creatures.
Both Sans and Alphys within this whole mess have forgotten about Mettaton and his checkups and upgrades. But Sans didn’t build Mettaton so he had no clue how to help him. The skeleton suggested looking for Mettatons blueprints, but the robot refuses for anyone to touch him besides Alphys, so Sans has no choice but to direct Mettaton towards Alphys.
The robot finds the former scientist and soon he starts having his checkups at her new secret laboratory.
After everything , everyone settles down into the new normal. Until Papyrus decides to join the Royal guard. Undyne, the captain of the guard, eventually takes him under her wing (fin?) and starts his private training (cooking lessons). Soon Paps and Undyne become best friends and she often comes over to Snowdin to hang out with him. There Alphys and Undyne first meet and develop feelings for each other. But Alphys full of guilt didn’t want to get too close to her in case she finds out what she’d been lying about this whole time =, so she starts avoiding Undyne as much as possible by hiding deep in the Snowdin forest. One day she wanders in too far and finds a dead end with the giant door to The Ruins. She starts spending more time there and starts using the door as a confession booth almost. One day someone beyond the door answered (Toriel). They become friends and converse a lot. And The Promise also etc. etc.
A human comes through the door .
Here the au diverges into neutral, pacifist and genocide timelines.
In neutral everything is the same as in undertale: toriel stays in the ruins, you fight asgore then omega flowey happens etc. we all know that. But there is an addition of Alphys never opening up and either going back to the lab to help sans with his research leaving paps alone again. Depending on who you kill she has different reactions but there is literally so many neutral routes in ut I’m not writing down all of the scenarios
in pacifist you help alphys confess to undyne and also tell everyone bout her mistakes and also help sans reconnect with his brother besides that everything is the same not counting the more minor details.
In geno you fight Alphys who has sans’ help. He shares his meta knowledge with her besides that everything is the same not counting the more minor details.

I never wrote my final theory about some of the Federation's lore plots. IT'S JUST A THEORY, but based on what I saw and even on how I expected the Federation to act. I came to believe that the idea of the Federation is the same as in the scripts of alien movies, an evolved species that discovered how to travel to other worlds and seeks to evolve other species trying to achieve perfection. The highest group, the leaders, must be cold, calculating, somewhat sadistic, that is, without feelings. That's why Cucurucho didn't understand human emotions well, they created him in this lifestyle. This goes a bit into the analogy with the Bible, where the Federation would be the angels, who believe they are being benevolent, even though they cause the greatest destruction in the world. And that's why Black Cucurucho was a failure because he is like Lucifer, he rebelled against this lifestyle. The experiments with hydroids would be similar to the creation of life on Earth. The beings that the Federation probably considered superior were themselves, and they are kind of hybrids, so to speak, so they decided to create their own Earth. Unfortunately, we don't know who exactly Adam and Eve would be in this analogy, we were never given information about who the first ones were. But as we know, some of the islanders were born on the island. In Cellbit/Bagi's Lore, in Bagi's diary, she complained that the Federation advertised that the island was the safest place to attract people to live there. So, I thought that maybe Adam is one group: those who were created in laboratories, like Baghera, Quackity. And Eve is another group: those who were born on the island, or were brought to it, and were raised among the colonies, like the mystery twins. And there is a third group of characters that was brought into the story. If we go by the technical part, it is possible to form portals to worlds in Minecraft, so I believe that in the midst of the search for perfection, the Federation also collected different species, such as demons (BBH, Mouse, etc.), immortals (Foolish), and existing hybrids (Philza) to serve as models, research objects to develop their own creations. What the Federation was not expecting is that just like in the Bible, when Eve became curious and decided to eat the fruit given by the serpent, curiosity also led Cellbit, as a child, to discover what they were doing. As a result, Eve was banished from Paradise, and Cell was banished from the island. Even though he tried to escape, I believe that when he was going to leave a letter for Bagi telling her the truth, he was approached by someone from the Federation, perhaps by his own parents since they supposedly worked for the Federation, but Cucurucho saw potential in the child, as he was very intelligent, and as they were in search of perfection, he sent him to war (Huger Games) so that he could become a soldier for them. I always imagined that Cellbit and Bagi were under observation in the colonies by their own parents, being tested by them, and perhaps because they are twins, the Federation began working with cloning hoping to seek results in sharing DNA. After all, I think the twins could be considered child prodigies at their age, and that is the kind of thing that the Federation likes, because it brings them closer to a perfect species.

Primarily for @tuliplover08 :D
BIRTH/CHILDHOOD
Makura Tsumi was born in the year 1907 in Japan (think of Demon Slayer time period) to Emi and Ankoku Tsumi. Not long before Makura was born, however, Emi fell deathly ill, putting her life and her daughter's life in danger. Ankoku was always described as a kind soul, always helping out others in need--it was like he didn't know how to say "no." So when he overheard a rumor about a mystic flower that could possibly heal his beloved, he set out to find it. After a few days' time, Ankoku found it--it was a spider lily with a strange aura to it.
What exactly was the spider lily? The spider lily was a magical charm left in the human realm by the Goddess of Darkness and Death, Seirei Yoru, before she departed for the heavens. You could commonly find it as a hairpiece that she wore all of the time. But ingesting it would give you Seirei's powers, rendering you the next in line to take her title.
Emi ate the spider lily and recovered overnight, albeit with a few changes--she now had red eyes instead of black, and the strange ability to control blood. Not only that, but it was as if she could barely...feel any more. Emi decided to keep this a secret from Makura when she was born, so that she could prevent any worries (Ankoku was aware of it, however, as her husband).
Makura's birth was a blessing and a curse. Emi knew that she was probably going to inherit the strange powers that she'd received prior, but she did her best to defend her from the dangers that came with it. Unfortunately, it didn't last long. Bad luck seemed to follow Makura wherever she went, and it affected her and her family drastically. A small cult following in Seirei Yoru's name hunted down the man who stole the spider lily, and years later, finally found the village, killing all of the adults and keeping the children alive. Their goal was to single out the one who was going to become their new god.
How did the cult manage to do this? Technically, they never found out. Their plan was to first figure out who was emotionally numb--a telltale sign of the powers coursing through their veins. They did this by forcing the children to eat their parents' bodies (Emi, however, could not be found after her death). Of course, all of the children were affected, especially Makura and her younger sister, Shiro. They then decided to hold a "game" where the children had to try and survive in the forest, but almost all of them died. It's because of this that they couldn't figure out who Makura was. Shiro died because of this.
Makura was close to dying in this game, but Emi used divine power to trap her child inside of a blood capsule and keep her in stasis for the next 100+ years (however long it would take before Emi deemed Makura to be safe). Eventually, Makura was found by a mysterious group of scientists and taken to their facility...
PROJECT SAKURA 1 (2019)
Makura was hollowed out from her stasis and brought to this strange laboratory for testing. She was reasonably freaked out, since she was now in America and didn't understand a lick of English (and also there was technology?). The project lead that dealt with Makura was a woman by the name of Ianira Damon, who helped Makura learn English, gave her modern clothes, and took her outside for outdoor "learning."
It is at this point that Makura's eyes permanently turn red.
(Think something similar to this scene from Honkai Star Rail when Fugue/Tingyun first wakes up in Ruan Mei's laboratory.)
Makura would commonly escape the lab, even before Ianira first gave her clothing and taught her English, and this is when she first met Swirl, who was training in the park. She simply watched the hero, a little worried since this was an eleven year old girl with a sword. Ianira found her and brought her back to the lab, scolding her for leaving without her permission. Makura would leave maybe one-two more times (Project Sakura 1's rewrite is still in progress. As of writing this post, Makura has only met her twice) before staying in the lab with Ianira.
While in the lab, Makura gained a deep understanding of her strange powers, growing by leaps and bounds with Ianira's help.
How did Ianira know to help Makura? Ianira has connections with Swirl and Spiral's father, the king of hell, Vesper. They've entered a relationship with a sole promise of bringing Swirl (and eventually, Spiral) down to Hell. Of course, she was made aware of Makura's existence, and planned to use the girl as a tool (since Emi was unreachable).
Makura was rebellious and uncontrollable at times, and Ianira combated this by tapping into the powers that Vesper gave her, creating stitches all over Makura's body that would suppress her emotions/feelings (she gained more and more over time, more on that later).
PROJECT SAKURA 3 (2023-2024)
Makura's next appearance was Project Sakura 3, where she properly becomes an important character. She's finally permitted to attend school, specifically Cosmos High School--where the Sakura twins are attending. She's a grade above the twins in question, but shares a few classes with Swirl, and the two become fast friends. Mainly because Ianira ordered Makura to get closer to the twins, but also because Makura, oddly enough, enjoyed the girl's company.
Swirl and Makura developed feelings for each other. Swirl was a little too nervous to act on it, and Makura was scared of what Ianira would say if she admitted to having feelings for the target. To Ianira, they kept their relationship on the down low, but eventually, the woman found out, and added many more stitches to Makura, changing the poor girl's demeanor and leading to a brutal breakup that left Swirl mentally damaged for a long time.
Makura was then officially old enough to work as a member of Ianira's Assassins Order, becoming stone faced and emotionless. She became the "Shinigami."
PROJECT SAKURA 5 PART 1 (2027-2029)
After the Warpdrive incident (Project Sakura 4, Makura was not involved), the Assassins Order started to commit more and more atrocities against humanity. Swirl, now a member of the Hero Association, was the main lead on the Assassins Order case, eventually running into the mysterious "Shinigami" and her fellow elite assassins.
These other assassins are actually inanimate puppets, failed test subjects from Ianira's research who died. Ianira has reanimated "copies" of these people, imitating their personalities. The puppets could still grow and develop as actual people, but once Makura proved worthless to her, she killed them all off.
Swirl eventually learns that the "Shinigami" is Makura, and Makura gains leverage over the heroine, taking advantage of her mind by psyching her out (from Ianira's influence). Makura was becoming less like herself and more like the "Shinigami" mask that she was forced to put up. Their exchanges were common for a time, and eventually led to Swirl's eventual kidnapping and brainwashing to work as a member of the Assassins Order. This period lasted for 2 years.
During this period, Makura saw what Ianira was doing to Swirl--how the girl began to lose the light in her eyes and believe every single lie that Ianira was feeding her--and began to recognize the parallels. It's at this point that Makura first develops the urge to break free. Swirl's always been her polar opposite as the daughter of the Goddess of Light and Life, Lynette Sakura, but after seeing this, she couldn't bring herself to let it go on for any longer.
Makura goes behind Ianira's back and assists the Hero Association (Spiral and Co.) in their mission to bring Swirl back, finally earning her freedom. It's a little confusing, however--how is she going to remove the strings that held her under the woman's control?
PROJECT SAKURA 5 PART 2 (2029-???)
Makura reforms and lives in the Hero Association dormitories as a freelance/vigilante hero. She's forcefully ripped out all of the strings that Ianira had on her body, so now her skin is littered with large, rough scars.
While Makura is now beginning to thrive, gaining popularity as a hero (since nobody knew "Shinigami's" true identity), Swirl is now suffering, on the receiving end of all of humanity's hatred for her time as an Assassin. Makura and Ceri (Swirl's girlfriend) primarily help Swirl work through this rough patch, only contributing to Makura's redemption arc.
Along with the scars on her body, though, removing the strings came with another price--Makura lost most of her control over her hemokinesis abilities, so now she has to start all over and build her abilities back from the ground up. It's another part of her struggle, but she learns how to use her abilities to help others instead of hurt them. It takes a while for all of the members of the Hero Association to accept her, but once they do, Makura knows for sure that she's found her new home.
But what of Emi Tsumi, her mother? Well, Makura and Emi's relationship becomes...quite complicated. Emi is proud of her daughter for taking the stand and going against Ianira's control--she'd rather have her daughter develop the powers on her own than artificially--but she's quite disappointed now that she's working alongside those "damned goddess' offspring" (Emi and Lynette have a terrible relationship, more on that in another post or something). She still loves her child, but she doesn't show it as often anymore. Makura can visit Emi and Shiro by visiting the abandoned ruins of the old village that she used to live in. Their spirits still reside there, along with the spirits of the other deceased who ended up in Hell (Ankoku was one of the rare few among them who went to Heaven). It's the only connection she still has to her old life, a fleeting memory.
Okay, that was pretty much Makura's whole story/timeline/lore summarized to all Hell! I tried to include as much as I could without boring anybody, sorry if I lost you all halfway through 😅
Makura also plays a semi-important role in the next generation stories (Project Sakura 6 and Project Sakura 7) but it's not a major part of her lore or anything I felt I needed to include here.
!! All of this could be subject to change whenever I feel like it, but this is all I have solidified for now! If you want to ask questions, please go ahead !!
And if you want to hear about another character, give me some asks! Asking about these guys is the best way to learn about them (especially through the asks box :3 )

Happy Birthday James “Midge” Ure born October 10th 1953 in Cambuslang.
Born to a working class family Ure attended Cambuslang Primary School and Rutherglen Academy in Glasgow until he was 15 years old. For the first 10 years of his life he lived in a one-bedroom tenement flat. After leaving school Ure attended Motherwell Technical College and then began to work as an engineer, training at the National Engineering Laboratory (NEL), in nearby East Kilbride.
Midge started playing music in a Glasgow band called Stumble in 1969, before joining Salvation, a Glasgow-based group that became the bubblegum band Slik in 1974. Upset in the change of direction, Ure left the band to join the Rich Kids, a punk-pop group led by former Sex Pistol bassist Glen Matlock. The Rich Kids only released one album, 1978’s Ghosts of Princes in Towers, before breaking up later that year. Ure spent a brief time with the Misfits (not the American band) before forming Visage with drummer Rusty Egan and vocalist Steve Strange; he left the group to replace Gary Moore in Thin Lizzy, who had left in the middle of an American tour. After the tour was finished, Ure fulfilled an agreement to join Ultravox as the replacement for John Foxx.
Once he joined the band in 1980, Ure helped make Ultravox a mainstream success; during this time he also worked as a producer, making records with Steve Harley and Modern Man. In 1982, Ure released a solo single, a cover of the Walker Brothers’ hit “No Regrets”; it climbed into the U.K. Top Ten. Ure and Bob Geldof formed Band Aid, a special project to aid famine relief efforts in Ethiopia, in 1984. The two wrote the song “Do They Know It’s Christmas?” and assembled an all-star band of musicians to record the single; it sold millions of copies over the 1984 holiday season.
In 1985, Ultravox was put on hiatus and Ure began to pursue a full-time solo career. Recorded entirely by Ure, his 1985 solo debut, The Gift, launched the number one single “If I Was,” as well as the minor hits “That Certain Smile” and “Call of the Wild.” The following year, he recorded the final Ultravox album; in 1987, the band broke up and he began recording his second solo album. The resulting record, 1988’s Answers to Nothing, was less successful than The Gift in the U.K., yet it charted in the U.S., which is something Ure’s previous album failed to do. Three years later, Ure released his third album, Pure; while it didn’t do any business in America, the album featured the Top 20 British hit “Cold, Cold Heart.” He attempted a comeback in 1996 with Breathe, which went ignored by both the American and British markets. Four years later, his score for the Jon Cryer drama-comedy Went to Coney Island was issued by the Evenmore label.
Ure’s recording activity during the 2000s began with Move Me, which featured some surprisingly hard rocking material. A few years later, he published an autobiography, If I Was, and then, with Geldof, arranged the Live 8 concerts.
Following the release of the covers-oriented 10 IN 2008, Ure participated in an Ultravox reunion and continued to record as a solo artist. Fragile was issued in 2014, and featured the Moby collaboration “Dark, Dark Night.” In 2017, he collaborated with composer Ty Unwin on the album Orchestrated, which featured orchestral reworkings of Ultravox songs, as well as songs from his solo career.
In 2020 Midge released an album Soundtrack 1978-2019, he was one of the lucky artists to have completed his tour promoting this in February that year.
Midge has recently revealed why he turned down an offer to join the Sex Pistols, telling The Telegraph that he considered that taking up the invitation from the band's manager Malcolm McLaren would have been like "joining a slightly edgier Bay City Rollers". He received the offer to join the fledgling punk band back in 1975, while on a visit to McCormack’s instrument hire shop in Glasgow.
In an interview published in the Telegraph he said;
"I was stopped in the street by the Clash’s manager, Bernie Rhodes, who then introduced me to Malcolm McLaren, I didn’t know who either of them was, but they literally asked me to join the Sex Pistols without even asking what I did. To me it would have been like joining a slightly edgier Bay City Rollers, so I turned them down.
Last October Midge celebrated seven decades of music with a concert at the Royal Albert Hall.
Concerts coming up for Midge are, 24th October: Tvonica Culture - Zagreb , 31st October: Stadfeestzaal - Aarschot, Belgium with Lena
Lovich, before 27 dates in Scotland, England, Ireland and Wales ending in December, he then travels to United Arab Emirates for a gig in February, March sees the hard working Scot play 11 nights in Sweden and Germany.
Midge Ure is one of Scotland’s all-time most successful musicians. He is married with four daughters and lives in Somerset.
The video is Midge, with Pilot,s David Paton from a Live Hogmanay show in 1995.

A snapshot of relativistic motion: Special relativity made visible
When an object moves extremely fast—close to the speed of light—certain basic assumptions that we take for granted no longer apply. This is the central consequence of Albert Einstein's special theory of relativity. The object then has a different length than when it is at rest, and time passes differently for the object than it does in the laboratory. All this has been repeatedly confirmed in experiments.
However, one interesting consequence of relativity has not yet been observed—the so-called Terrell-Penrose effect. In 1959, physicists James Terrell and Roger Penrose (Nobel laureate in 2020) independently concluded that fast-moving objects should appear rotated. However, this effect has never been demonstrated.
Now, a collaboration between TU Wien (Vienna) and the University of Vienna has succeeded for the first time in reproducing the effect using laser pulses and precision cameras—at an effective speed of light of 2 meters per second. The research is published in the journal Communications Physics.
Einstein's length contraction
"Suppose a rocket whizzes past us at 90% of the speed of light. For us, it no longer has the same length as before it took off, but is 2.3 times shorter," explains Prof. Peter Schattschneider from TU Wien. This is the relativistic length contraction, also known as the Lorentz contraction.
However, this contraction cannot be photographed. "If you wanted to take a picture of the rocket as it flew past, you would have to take into account that the light from different points took different lengths of time to reach the camera," explains Schattschneider.
The light coming from different parts of the object and arriving at the lens or our eye at the same time was not emitted at the same time—and this results in complicated optical effects.
The racing cube: Seemingly rotated
Let's imagine that the super-fast object is a cube. Then the side facing away from us is further away than the side facing towards us. If two photons reach our eye at the same time, one from the front corner of the cube and one from the back corner, the photon from the back corner has traveled further. So it must have been emitted at an earlier time. And at that time, the cube was not at the same position as when the light was emitted from the front corner.
"This makes it look to us as if the cube had been rotated," says Schattschneider. This is a combination of relativistic length contraction and the different travel times of light from different points. Together, this leads to an apparent rotation, as predicted by Terrell and Penrose.
Of course, this is irrelevant in everyday life, even when photographing an extremely fast car. Even the fastest Formula One car will only move a tiny fraction of the distance in the time difference between the light emitted by the side of the car facing away from us and the side facing towards us. But with a rocket traveling close to the speed of light, this effect would be clearly visible.
The effective speed of light trick
Technically, it is currently impossible to accelerate rockets to a speed at which this effect could be seen in a photograph. However, the group led by Peter Schattschneider from USTEM at TU Wien found another solution inspired by art: they used extremely short laser pulses and a high-speed camera to recreate the effect in the laboratory.
"We moved a cube and a sphere around the lab and used the high-speed camera to record the laser flashes reflected from different points on these objects at different times," explain Victoria Helm and Dominik Hornof, the two students who carried out the experiment. "If you get the timing right, you can create a situation that produces the same results as if the speed of light were no more than 2 meters per second."
It is easy to combine images of different parts of a landscape into one large image. What has been done here for the first time is to include the time factor: the object is photographed at many different times. Then the areas illuminated by the laser flash at the moment when the light would have been emitted from that point if the speed of light was only 2 m/s are combined into one still image. This makes the Terrell-Penrose effect visible.
"We combined the still images into short video clips of the ultra-fast objects. The result was exactly what we expected," says Schattschneider. "A cube appears twisted, a sphere remains a sphere, but the North Pole is in a different place."
When art and science circle each other
The demonstration of the Terrell-Penrose effect is not only a scientific success—it is also the result of an extraordinary symbiosis between art and science. The starting point was an art-science project by the artist Enar de Dios Rodriguez, who several years ago, in collaboration with the University of Vienna and the Vienna University of Technology, explored the possibilities of ultra-fast photography and the resulting "slowness of light."
The results may help us understand the intuitively elusive world of relativity a little better.

The Tin of Your Sight (TToYS) It was just a city with laboratories and experimental facilities. Tin was not the first of the purpose organisms with the ability to think; technically, he was the sixth. They were not yet called iterators and they did not have large bodies (and obviously they had some specific tasks and established identities). But it was precisely during the time of Tin that everything began to change. He was chosen to grow into something more, to have more opportunities (and jobs). But his construction turned out to be quite a long process and the House (Cult of Drinking Liquid Metals), which sponsored it, decided to first invest in the construction of another iterator - AoS, the construction of which led to easier access to the Void. Therefore, Tin was not the first, but I prefer to generally consider him to be zero. Anyway due to the fact that this city was mostly engaged in development, the whole structure looked more like an anthill. In addition, besides Tin, there were other “non-iterators” in the structure. Later, Tin had to take care of them (many of their processes were under his control). Tin was quite attached to the Ancients, especially to those who directly worked with him, who changed spare parts for his puppet. Although he knew about the religious intentions of the Ancients, he was still not ready to let them go. And he did everything his way, forcing at least some of them to stay.
This is just a sketch for the development of the structure. I usually call this structure an anthill. This is quite rough, because I don’t have a very good idea of the development process of such organisms. Maybe... Someday I'll draw it better.
Here are notes on what the Tin puppet looked like. It even had a slightly different way of interacting with the panels. You can also see here what previous versions of Tin look like. They don't have names, but they probably made them up. Not all of them have puppets, they're more like just AI. They can communicate, their bodies need to be maintained.
The final design of Tin and it is also shown here that it was the Ancient who led the TToYS project who gave him the headband.
It should be made clear that since Tin's superstructure was constantly being expanded and modernized, he had incredibly more freedom than an iterator could have. When he found that he did not want to let Ancients go, he changed their diet by adding certain plants. Yeah, he got them hooked on drugs to control their minds (for obvious reasons he could not perform a lobotomy directly) or something until they were the only ones left. Their religion has undergone a change, so that Tin now enjoys the status of God.
He is not very interested in his local group because he has always been involved in the affairs of the Ancients + he has his "family". He hides his actions from the group and is forced to defend his territory from overseers. Other iterators sometimes try to know about him but he speaks only to the point and simply ignores inconvenient questions. well AoS knows about TToYS's shenanigans with Ancients anyway. But this group has much problems so AoS just pretend he dont know anything
Swits are just... birds who can run and chase creatures. They are not really good at flying, but still they able to do it Overseers are slightly modernized in order to exclude other overseers
He is not very kind to his eldest. They depend on him, but they have their own consciousness and their own small tasks. In essence, they are really just calculators with their own opinions Only two of them has own puppets, other three are just text and some big boxes with em... brain staff (the 4th had puppet but it broken now)
Also he is a spoiled child tehee

After the doors finally opened up, the group quickly dashed into the first room they could register. The moment was chilling after their sudden brush with death, everyone taking a moment to catch their breaths.
“Okay.” Blue was the first to speak up. “I’ve seen a lot of things happen in this game, and this is by far the most messed up.” The bean took a quick look outside the Laboratory’s doorway, double checking that those faceless, creepy, glitchy ‘ghosts’ didn’t follow them in there. “You’re right. This definitely isn’t a dream… so how the hell are we gonna get out of this mess?”
we were really robbed of more Blue in the NoVisor Arc. like my guy has been playing this game since 2018, which means he’s been around during the same time Aiden was first kidnapped!! I’m a bit hyperfixated on the rewrite of the NoVisor Arc (and AUL in general) I’m doing with a friend rn, so if I remember to post more of that I will! For now though more context and other scattered stuff about the lore for AULR will be under the cut!! :3
the beginning of Return is kinda identical, but Blue replaces Ria. Player, Veteran, and Noob try to warn them about Things Being Kinda Weird and that they are absolutely trapped inside the game but they both call bs (assuming they’re like dreaming or something) until a group of glitched out ghost things (with no visor cuz duh) chase after them all. PF also Coincidentally™️ shows up not too long before the ghosts start attacking and chasing them! how strange…
ANYWAY now they’re hiding out from those things and are using the stupid cleanup thing in MIRA to give them a moment to catch their breath, buy some time, and think of a game plan. The near death experience convinced Mr. Egg and especially Blue that maybe there is way more to this than they both initially thought.
PF’s a lil nervous cuz he believes Blue is catching onto him knowing more about everyone getting transported into the game than he lets on (AND HES RIGHT), esp cuz Blue has mentioned having multiple encounters with strange cultist beans over the years of playing Among Us. (Spoilers Blue does find out about PF later in the episode, but definitely dies like right after :(()
The way I see NV’s plan is somewhat similar but also different. We didn’t really know what was going on exactly in canon, but for this one the best way I can describe it is like the plot of Side Order. The NV Cult is forcibly bringing people into a virtual world in which they would be able to rule with The Power Of Hacking.
as for why the world they picked is a hacked Among Us game? Well it’s simple! it’s super buggy, and there’s only three developers (at the time this takes place that is), so anything they do will take forever to fix and update on their end. And the game being practically a wasteland to the sudden boom in popularity was perfect for bringing unsuspecting people in.
Innersloth knew something was wrong right away all those years ago, but they just couldn’t keep up with this group of hackers. The eventual solution they came up with to all the shenanigans from the cult (and others when it started getting popular) led to the creation of the Hacker’s Lobby, run by 2 (technically 3 if you count Clogsworth) Admins. This new lobby worked! …for the most part. As new cult members infiltrate the game, there’s bound to be some people Innersloth and the Admins missed…
BUT THATS ALL SUBJECT TO CHANGE and there’s a lot of stuff I definitely missed but yea!! AULR my beloved :]

Posting about my ocs since it got deleted…😂
There’s also some grammar errors somewhere that I fixed in the og post, but they got reverted back… oops.
Because of the context I originally posted this, the descriptions are brief summaries of the characters (and intentionally vague at times)
The first group of characters are all from the same world/universe, but the level of connection between them varies.
* Stopped being a lab rat for her psycho cousin to start experimenting on herself before becoming too depressed. She now has a job at a run down laboratory and takes odd jobs to pass the time.
* Cousin’s experiment goes wrong, girl can now travel the multiverse.
* Princess is a star, literally, she will blow up soon. Her two bodyguards have known her since childhood and now watch as she dims.
* Runaway princess(a normal one this time) accidentally acquires genetically made strawberry lemonade berries and starts a strawberry lemonade stand.
* After a robot chip decides to implant in his head, boy gains the ability to be overstimulated constantly. He’s not okay, help.
* Lady who lives outside despite being rich provides high tech gear to the previous guy so he can at least not hate existing.
* Guy travels to a different country, gets thrown in jail, then starts a jail garden.
* Girl gets kidnapped everyday, it’s routine, normal, until the same guy saves her twice in a row.
* Half-dragon girl delivers mail while fighting monsters on route(this is based off of a game, but still part of the same story as the rest of them).
* Girl with amnesia slowly realizes that she’s the cause of a kingdom’s destruction hundreds of years ago… oops?
* Girl from idol group hides her identity as a superhero. Nobody even knows that this superhero exists…
* Technician who works with said idol group lives in the desert with wife and daughter to avoid robot apocalypse.
* Guy who purposely under works to avoid being given larger tasks messes up, and is now promoted to be the team leader of a task force whose primary mission is to prevent a certain star princess from exploding.
* Girl learns that she is actually… not a robot. Nice.✨
* Blueberry space bun girl in high school has access to the military’s armory.
* Girl’s mom marries an actual dragon… Unrelated but she runs off for a while to set people’s souls on fire, literally.
* Drop out college student who insists on wearing sunglasses indoors and standing while in or on any moving vehicle get recruited to a anti-government robot apocalypse group.
* Boy who got bullied grows up to be hot, isn’t interested in anyone.
Not connected (yet) I know my brain will merge them at some point.
* 13 year old girl buys house for a nickel.
* Girl from the past is visited by a time traveler who has gone too far back, and now needs her to go to the future(still technically the past for the original time traveler though😭😅) to stop a specific event from occurring.
* Girl escapes cult and becomes rivals with a girl who is stuck in a cult.
* High IQ cat runs an orphanage.
* Guy pushes the chosen one off a waterfall and takes the magical object to pursue revenge on yet another princess(how many princess characters do I have?)
* Assassin, she makes everyone bleed paint. It’s very pretty!✨
How many times did I say girl?😭

people won't admit this but the soviet union was actually a project to create a union of republics capable of pushing the limit of acronyms. really shattering the belief that there is a god with stuff like NIIKhIMMash, TsNIICherMet, and of course the infamous world record holder: NIIOMTPLABOPARMBETZHELBETRABSBOMONIMONKONOTDTEKHSTROMONT (the laboratory for reinforcement, concrete and ferroconcrete operations, for composite-monolithic and monolithic constructions, of the Department of the Technology of Building-assembly operations, of the Scientific Research Institute of the Organization for mechanization and technical aid)
i remember reading about some historical figures who'd been a member of some like rifle group acronymed as something ridiculous. truly a union of giants ("GiantS" here being an acronym of "giant" and "acronyms")
