then i had an epiphany and finally figured it out and my whole worldview changed and i just get reminded of that a lot sometimes

Hi! I just wanna help out, because pirating movies/shows is not that hard or scary as it might sound. There are lot of pages where you can watch movies for free, and they don't even have popup ads or stuff like that. You should have a firewall (which, in theory, is already on your computer), and a basic anti-virus program, like mcafee for example (there are free ones that work perfectly fine, but you can google this). You should already have these, just to do anything online, to be honest. But if you have these, you are also perfectly safe to go to these free sites. The only catch with them is that I guess they get "discovered" and sometimes disappear, but there will be new ones. I would suggest flixtor . video, or fmovies . llc . If you wanna be extra careful, download an adblocker. If you use Firefox (which you should, rather than Chrome), it has a free add-on adblocker. It's glorious for using youtube, and helps with pop-up windows. Be safe, pirate movies! :)

Honestly it amazing how inept I am with technology. Like I'm from the early 2000s u would think I would be great at it, especially since I had LOTS of unrestricted Internet access.

But, guess who is the tech expert in my family.

I have no clue how to pirate TV shows and movies without getting a shitton of bad things happening. As well as like hiding that I am reading fanfiction from said mom, I just use secret mode.

This isn't like a cry for like someone to teach me the Internet but like...nnnnnnn. this is purely like therapeutic ranting of me not understanding shit lol.

Alec is in IT support. He is grumpy and sassy and a little bit hostile, to every idiot out there, who probably caused the problem they are having with their computer in the first place. Except Magnus. Magnus happens to be the most technologically inept person there is, he needs to call the IT department more than anyone else. But where Alec would curse out anyone else for not knowing how to defrag their hard drive, Magnus is exempt from such treatment. Magnus, on phone line with IT: "It's hissing at me. It sounds exactly like the Chairman did, that one time I brought home the wrong cat food. I think it wants to kill me." Alec: " 'It' is a computer. Not your murderous cat." Magnus: "Chairman Meow would never kill me. But this horrible contraption must have a personal vendetta against me. It is planning a revolt." Alec: "Okay, I'll come up to you and have a look. Be there in 10." Magnus: "You are an angel, Darling. Thank you." Clary/Simon/Jace who just happened to witness this exchange: "How come the last time I had a computer issue, you yelled at me over the phone for five minutes and then sent one of your grunts to fix it, but whenever Magnus needs help, which is all the time, you just smile and go?" Alec shrugs, heading for Magnus' office: "He is magical like that."
