Its silly but what if Dreams like "ya know what'd be hilarious?" And just like, hides from techza OR plays like fucking tag with them (not that they know what the fuck he's doing) in his mind he'd basically playing hide and seek or just a fun game of tag. Cue Techza freaking out cause where the heck is their boy??

I know you're writing the long one but I figured like what if this isn't him actually running away, he's just an insane little freak that needs to get some pent up energy out, and does it by playing a weird form of cat and mouse

Dream held his laughter long enough for Techno to pin him to the ground.

His legs burned from running; Phil would scorn him later for overworking himself just for the sake of some entertainment, but books only kept him busy for so long when he needed to run. He needed the thrill of real danger, of heavy footsteps behind him, of Techno's solid body on top of him.

He watched Techno take a few breaths to calm himself. Dream was caught, safe, and laughing, and he'd pay deeply for this later.

When there are no other players around Dream only has two modes, do something constantly non stop and afk-ing for weeks in the same spot

Usually he harvests the fields of his property when he doesn't have anything to do for a few weeks, but they weren't fully grown when he went there, so he was just... waiting...

It can happen any time if Dream doesn't have enough anchoring him down. He has 100% gone afk on the street before, but it only takes a few hours for someone to try to help him and call an ambulance when he does

Its pretty scary for anyone in the outside, he just stops responding. You can push him and he won't fall, but he also won't react. He doesn't react to any noise, or to most touch. He's just completely frozen in place.

As Techno and Phil got older and started becoming more like players Dream introduced them to redstone farms and the two of then were horrified to find out that afk-ing is a thing players do on purpose, not just when they were isolated and unwell like Dream was a fee decades ago

rating fandoms i wrangle for shits and giggles

dream smp: 5/10 it's basically just your average megafandom. too many threats in tags i have to report. the problematic ones or whatever go hide in no fandom which is theoretically fine except it means their tags will be lost for months until i accidentally stumble on one in a search. also a lot of you guys really don't understand how to tag but a lot of you are 14 so it's okay

enderbomb: 3/10 i wasn't gonna mention it bc it's a tiny webcomic fandom but there's one person who continously only tags their eb works as original work which i think is a crime against humanity

fable smp: 9/10 i have never watched it. no one else is willing to wrangle it and it's one of the larger smp fandoms so i stepped up. have spoken to members of the server who are very nice and respectful. taggers do not give me threats like dsmp so that is an instant bonus

generation loss: 2/10 they do not quite understand that i have made them perfectly good tags and they don't have to use the rpf ones. i often have to create tags from literally nothing because the rpf tag has managed to amass 3 users in genloss

group chat: 7/10 this is the only actual rpf fandom beyond top-level vlogging i wrangle and they are surprisingly chill except they really like gay sex like a lot and they have managed to tag every possible pairing of the guys

minecraft: 3/10 this is like russian roulette but its at least fun. it was left on staff hold for several years and we're just recently getting it back on track

qsmp: 8/10 a surprisingly successful exercise in training smp taggers to tag well by training them early

smpearth: 6/10 exclusively consists of inniters and the occasional techza shipper but they're normal enough so

smplive: 5/10 something new every time. this series is 4 years old and taggers still bring me the craziest shit somehow

sonic: deep sigh/10 everything is canon

vlogging rpf: 6/10 i like doing characters bc i just google the name and if i get a channel i make the tag and move on to the next one. points off for making me learn things about tiktokers

Just saying I won’t tagging the emduo tag if I'm creating SHIP-y, if I think this time my work it’s a little bit prefer ship i’ll tagging it technophil or techza.(c! not cc!)

Or on Twitter I wouldn't tag if I thought maybe the drawing was a bit on the shippy side this time.

I don't particularly like defining my creations though. If you think what I create is ship-y you eat it as ship, if you only like best friends you eat it as best friends, I don't mind. I create only because I love the relationship they originally had (close friends who are double-standard(for good) to each other)

It's just that if you don't like me or my work, please try to just block me, or it's okay to troll me with your friends in places I don't know about or whatever, and please try not to just moralize me or say I'm wrong in the comments section (I can't reply anyway, so don't be a pointless pain in the ass)

I've already been through something similarly nasty and my manners were used up in that situation, so if someone does something similar again it won't be communication/reasoning or similarly polite replies（But I'm happy that everyone on tumblr seems to be a bit friendlier, and I really appreciate your friendliness! love you guys！:D)

I don't believe I've reblogged anything mentioning techza here recently and I don't normally tag reblogs, sorry! If you are going to be dismayed by seeing emduo art that can be viewed in a romantic light, this might not be the blog for you. I don't have a problem with ambiguous relationships and I see the bird and the pig and I automatically queue it, so there's some art here that like I GUESS you could interpret as romantic? The only thing that I can find that came out of my queue in the last day is this one, which I saw as platonic and the author has tagged as emduo, so. I don't know. Sorry? I don't tag reblogs, so this might not be a good blog for you.

Also it's worth noting that since that art I reblogged posted, romantic desert duo art AND some pissa/badboyhalo jealousy love triangle art posted, both of which are far more romantic, AND shortly before that emduo art posted some pissa kissing art posted so like, I do not know why you'd have trouble with emduo hand-holding?

I guess I can chime in on the shipping thing as someone who does ship one of the forbidden ones that being Techza. Only in an RP way I’m not truthing or anything and I also don’t write fetish stuff. I just ship them in the most vanilla way possible

I spent about a year and a half having thoughts about shipping it and I felt like a horrible, terrible freak for it. I actively tried to repress my thoughts about it, out of pure fear that anyone I told about it would instantly try to cancel me or something. Even as I read QPR fanfic that was so clearly just people trying to get away with shipping it. Honest to God, I have read QPR fics that are way gayer than the fics tagged with /.

Then I basically cracked and told someone and guess what? They shipped it too and now we both talk about it together. I’m having the most fun I’ve had in this fandom just making AU ideas with that person

It feels so so much better to just admit you ship something rather than try to lie to yourself about it. I’ve talked to multiple people and all of them admit to having read some stuff of the forbidden ships such as Techza or Schlattbur. This fandom is filled with people who all ship stuff but everyone is too scared to talk about it because no one wants to be ostracized or anything

I just think it’d be a much healthier fandom environment if people could just say “Yah, I ship it” rather than having to repress those thoughts out of fear and instead go down the “QPR totally not shipping” path

We’re all fucking weirdos for writing fanfic about Minecraft men at all and that’s okay. I’d rather be a happy weirdo than a repressed and scared shipper

Yeah, one of the most tiresome things about this fandom is I’m pretty sure most people have a dual motive weather they know it or not. You’re much more likely to get the truth out of people in private if they trust you, the average member of the fandom isn’t an open book and if you’re on maintwt you can’t afford to go against the grain so it seems like people are more rigid than they really are. The thing that I find really disdainful is when people join in on dogpiles because they’re afraid of someone catching them in whatever it is they’re ashamed of, so they scapegoat someone else to displace the guilt. I can tell this fandom has a lot of that.

Techza is kind of a classic ‘hiding in plain sight’ example, I could tell from a glance at that community what people were really attached to, but I never saw anything outstandingly sexual from them (maybe I missed something?) so I let it go. They were around Techno’s age, it was all very Greek, I got it.

I think one of the biggest corrupting factors in this fandom has been how hyper-visible everything and everyone is. RPF is a dangerous game but the thin barrier between RPF and ‘shipping the characters’ in MCYT has a way of making some of the most tense fandom dynamics I’ve ever seen, I think people from other server fandoms would vouch for how bad it gets.

Something that I’m actually pretty firm on is that fan spaces should be mostly for fans (not devotional spaces for the benefit of ccs) and offer them a certain level of privacy, I know that there’s nothing to be done about the fourth wall the way things are now but I’m hoping that whatever websites rise up to take the place of Twitter if it ever becomes completely unusable will put more of a gap again. I don’t think we’ll ever be able to turn back time to when RPF was less well-known, but all I can hope for is moving somewhere where the too-close-for-comfort dynamic isn’t at play, because the panopticon has hurt almost as much as it’s helped at this point.

Finding deleted fics

Hello everyone! I know the queue has been paused for a while, but i am still on the search for old techza deleted media and it has been going very well!

I recently came across this post. Someone downloaded all of ao3's fics around 2014-2022, which means it might contain deleted fanfiction that you're looking for.

I've downloaded the database files: they contain every fic title that has been archived from AO3 and in which .zip file to find it. I have already found a few fics that I myself had thought lost!

Feel free to go download this for yourself, but i figured since i already have the database ready to go, I can look for a fic for you if you want!

I do have a couple things to note.

Currently I only have access to fics that were posted up until early February 2023.

I will only be searching for techza and/or queerplatonic and/or platonic emduo! I won't be searching for other fandoms or poppy/underage/incest fics.

If you're going to ask for an NSFW fic I need an indicator that you're older than 18 in your bio or pinned.

I can't guarantee I'll be able to find everything. Title and author names are a lot easier to find instead of having to look through tags, so if you remember those the likelyhood to find it goes wayy up. There may be a chance for chapters to be missing. Art fics haven't saved the images either.

Unfortunately my laptop is old and decrepit and has very little space and downloading things takes forever. This machine can fit so much overheating in it SO! If the fic is inside one of the files i have downloaded already I will send it to you directly, otherwise I will direct you to the .zip file you have to download to find it.

Lastly: most of the fics were deleted right after cc!techno's passing, so out of respect for the authors I won't be making the links public and will send them on a person to person basis. I know DMs can be anxiety inducing but they're a lot easier to manage, and I promise I don't bite :)

User asks will be answered privately; Anons asking for fics will be told if i can find them or not, but I will need you to message me to get the link/info. Please don't repost them on ao3.

Technoblade has… probably been in worse situations than this before.

Sure, he can’t think of any of them right now. Sure, taking an unknown potion to the face from an unseen assailant – who’s he kidding, it’s Dream, of course it’s Dream, there’s no one else on this server crazy enough to attack him and good enough to pull it off – is a pretty bad situation. Sure, blind from an unknown potion to the face in the middle of a forest, mild from hole, with the sun going down, is kind of a really pretty bad situation.

But he’s got to have been in a worse situation before, some time. The fact he can’t think of one right now is probably just some kind of temporary memory lapse.

Probably something to do with the awful, burning pain in his face and hands, too.
