Snakes at My Feet
Well there was nothing unusual for a Thursday night. It’s the night that I usually watch the reality series on the History channel called “Swamp People.” They put two series on back to back. One was about alligator hunting and the other was about hunting the Burmese python. While I was watching, the tail end of the alligator hunting, I suddenly found myself in a version of a bedroom.…

Is literally no one in the TMNT fandom wondering why they picked TMNT 2012 for a remake of an old arcade tmnt games. This makes me happy because they didn't forgot that version. They even got the original voice cast of the 2012 show to make new voice over for this. Im confused

Part 21
The Texas Tire Family
Tags just ask - @supernaturalgirl31 @bvbwestfall @bubble-blu @patriciaplictisita @liesanddreams @bethanymccauley
Shutting the front door behind me with my right foot I dropped my bag on the floor. Georgie would be home from the tire store and the kids were getting off the school bus now. Shrugging my Jean jacket off I entered the kitchen seeing the front door opened and three sets of feet running towards me. “Hi mommy!” Eve jumped up into my arms still wearing her backpack.
“Ohhh hi girls. How was school today?” I asked bouncing Eve on my leg watching Aurora helping Montana get his backpack off.
Eve smiled, swinging off of me like a monkey. “I got pretty good on the monkey bars, mommy. And I got an A on my homework.”
“I played hops with other kids.” Montana said climbing up in one of the kitchen chairs grinning up at me with his hair getting curlier as he gets older like his father.
Aurora reached into the cabinet opening a bag of chips sitting down at the table with her brother. “Don’t tell dad but the boy at school I like might have asked me to go to the movies with him and some of our friends on Friday.”
“That’s great, you guys. And Rora, don't worry it will be our little secret.” I sent her a wink before the front door opened and it was slammed by Georgie where Montana jumped and made a terrified noise. Turning my head towards our kids I sent them into their rooms. “Kids, go into your rooms and do your homework while I talk to your father.”
Eve climbed off of me when I bent down my knees. I let her run off with her siblings leaving me alone with my husband. “Bye mommy.”
“Hey honey what’s wrong. I’ve never seen you come home from work upset?” I asked, rising to my feet brushing my hands off on my pants. He took his black jacket off kicking off his boots angrily and grabbing a beer from the fridge before he ever said a word.
“I got to thinking about your parents today…and whether they still like me after everything that happened.” He mumbled sitting down on the couch in the living room staring out the window.
Moving out of the kitchen I plopped down making him finally look me in the eye. “Georgie, you know they love you. I mean even though my father didn’t like it when we said we got pregnant at 17 or when you bought an old van instead of a good car.”
“Yeah but I mean it took a while before I was successful like I am now. I just want to feel like I have done a good job as a father and as a husband.” He sighed, running his fingers through his hair where I laid my head on his chest and he draped his arm over my back.
Intertwining our freehands together I whispered watching him slowly drink his beer known in that he didn’t like feeling like he didn’t deserve me. “Georgie, don’t think for a moment that you don’t deserve me. Cause you are the best person I ever know. And my parents do respect you.”
“Mommy, do I have to wear a dress!” Aurora whined at me when I shrugged a golden dress over her head seeing that she sent me a scowl.
Raising myself to my feet with my hands on my hips. “Rora, it's just for a few hours for Thanksgiving. With your grandparents so just do it and when we get home I’ll let you run around in a tea shirt and shorts for the rest of the night.”
“Deal.” She held up her pinky and I looped mine with hers seeing Georgie come out of the living room with Eve following his tail.
He tilted his head towards the door knowing they would be coming up the driveway now. My parents took the new job when we were younger. So they didn’t live just down the street like Connie and Mary did. “They’re here, darling. Are you ready for this?”
“I think so. Kids go say hi to them.” I pushed Rora toward Eve watching them leave the room giving us a minute alone. “Are you ready to do this? I know you’re nervous about having dinner with them?”
He nodded with a nervous gulp taking my hand in his where I led him into the dining room where my father got to his feet first. “It’s nice to see you again, Mr and Mrs. L/n.” Georgie shook my father’s hand with a smile.
“It’s good to see you too, Georgie. Now come here baby girl.” My father opened his arms wrapping me into a warm hug. Wrapping my arms around him I smiled, breaking the hug when my mother came over too.
Pulling her in for a hug she kissed my head before we sat down at the table together. “Hey sweetie. I’ve missed you and your girls.” Connie was nice enough to have made a lot of Brisket so we had split up half of that so we could have it for Thanksgiving and then eat it at the Cooper house.
“Georgie, there is something I want to say to you.” My father sat his fork down staring at my husband who sat across from him at the end of the table. I was sitting next to my mother leaving our daughters to be sitting across from us.
Georgie gulped, swallowing some bites of brisket in his mouth. “Uh yes sir.”
“At first I didn’t like you and I was questioning whether or not you were good enough for my little girl…and you have changed my mind about you at every turn.” My father stared closely at my husband and I could tell Georgie was nervous when he leaned back into his chair. “I must say I am proud of what you have done. You could have walked away yet you didn’t do that. Meaning you do care about her.”
My mother sent him a huge grin squeezing my shoulder when she put her fork down. “And we couldn’t be more proud that you are the man she deserves. We do respect what you have done. So thank you George.”
“See you had nothing to worry about.” Turning my head in the direction of my husband I sent him a huge smile. He was so terrified that he wouldn’t be good enough especially when I almost instantly became pregnant with Evelyn.
“Can we have the cake now?” Eve held her hands up heading towards the kitchen. Everyone at the table just began laughing before my mother got up and cut up some pieces of dessert.
Shifting myself upright I still held his hand in mine where his brown eyes were looking directly at me. He sighed heavily, dropping his shoulders. “Sorry I’m making a big deal out of something we have already talked about. I just don’t want to have them change their minds and think I’m not good enough.”
“Georgie stop it…You will never make them change their minds and see you as anything but amazing.“ Moving up onto his lap I wrapped my arms around his neck leaning forward and kissing him slowly.
He placed his hands on my waist holding me there while the kiss got more heated by the second. He leans forward into the kiss where I moved one of my hands into his curls. “I love you, Y/n my darling.”
“I love you too, Mr. Texan.” I mumbled in between kisses where he rested one hand against my face smiling the same look that he was.
Suddenly our perfect little moment was interrupted by Montana running inside the room and jumping on my back where I collapsed onto Georgie crackling loudly. “Dog pile on mommy and daddy!” He giggled hearing the two of us laughing alongside him.
“Attack!” Aurora and Eve came around the corner jumping up on the couch with us causing all of us to tumble over the side and hit the wooden floor with a thud.
Rubbing my head I groaned sitting up. “Maybe we shouldn’t do that anymore.”
“Ohh Eve spilled a drink.” Montana teased pointing to the spilled beer bottle by his father’s feet that he must have dropped during the fall.
Aurora brushed hair behind her ear apologizing to the two of us. “Sorry dad. Sorry mom.”
“It’s okay sweetheart. We had fun and that’s all that matters. We will clean up later.” I smiled towards them getting to my feet. I helped the kids up to their feet.
Georgie went into the kitchen grabbing a wet rag to clean up the mess. “You’re mother’s right. I wouldn’t change anything we did.” He flashed me a smile where I took the rag from him once we got the mess cleaned up and started thinking about what we were doing for dinner.
Comments really appreciated ❤️
