I've looked for love in all the same old places
Found the bottom of the bottles always dry
But when you poured out your heart I didn't waste it
'Cause there's nothing like your love to get me high

digital painting, 30+ hours - drawing video under the cut
so this was another attempt at stretching myself beyond what i feel like i can do comfortably. i can't draw without references and generally i just draw scenes from whatever source media, note for note.
when i was listening to this song a bit ago, i had this idea of the boys slow dancing to this song all sweaty and tired after a hunt in some dingy bar. made me think of a scene from euphoria, s2e3 in a flashback with two young men who dance and kiss in a gay bar. the bar was exactly the kind of thing i wanted. i wasted hours trying to find other pictures to use as reference instead but i ended up going with the euphoria scene.
i'd seen quite a lot of gifs from this entertainment weekly photoshoot and there were some really nice moments between jared and jensen that i thought i could tinker with a little to make sam and dean and a slow dance/hug/shuffle
so i needed to change lighting, clothing, accessories, some of the background items.. definitely outside of my abilities generally but trying to push myself. kinda got lost in the sauce of the background and melding the people into the background i'm still not sure really worked. i'm sure it's the lighting letting me down. i tried though and now i wanna shove the painting out of my car and drive off
I have been listening to him like constantly. I cannot get enough of his voice. It is SO GOOD. If you never listen to any of the stuff i post, listen to this.
I wasn't going to post this. I wrote this for @poeticjustic right before we broke up. She passed away recently and she would want me to share it with whoever would enjoy it. I miss you Baemaxx... More than words. This is my rendition of Tennessee Whiskey.
Because its “who cares o’clock” everywhere...I prefer Kentucky Whiskey since I was raised on it, being from Kentucky and such! Cheers to a wonderful Sunday as the sun is calling me and who am i to refuse. See y’all next time ღk
Pursuit Spirits Episode 23 15 Year Tennessee Whiskey (2020)
Review by: Wryan
Dickel has its ups and downs. Mostly down according to a very large majority of the bourbon community. That reputation has dissuaded many from even trying their bourbon. Many do not enjoy that heavy minerality flavor that comes from the water or filtering process and it is a divisive flavor profile.
I’ve listened to Bourbon Pursuit off and on for several years and when these…
speaking of the blorbo music thing, tennessee whiskey came up in my playlist and something something slow dancing in a dark and smoky bar. could i cobble together enough references to paint it, maybe?
SO hear me out, while i was looking for something else i kept running into gifs from this EW photoshoot and so i went and grabbed some of the clips that i thought could be used for reference for my idea. and sure i was playing the song too.
so i accidentally a j2 edit, apparently

Found the bottom of a bottle's always dry

You're as smooth as Tennessee whiskey
You're as sweet as strawberry wine
You're as warm as a glass of brandy
And honey, I stay stoned on your love all the time
So today on the MSR (Midnight Star Review), I would like to talk about the latest album from Country Music Superstar Chris Stapleton. The new album is titled "Higher" and was released on Friday November 10th, 2023. But before we talk about 14 track album. We will talk a little about Chris Stapleton's career next.
Chris Stapleton has released such hits like "Tennessee whiskey", "You should probably leave", & "Starting over". Other songs include "Broken halos", "Joy of my life", & "Millionaire". Chris has scored 3 number ones on my weekly list MSR (Midnight Star Report). My weekly list combines both CMT (Country Music Television), the Billboard Country Music Airplay Charts, & even myself. The list used to include GAC (Great American Country) until the list officially retired at the end of 2018. But let's jump back into the new project next.
Chris co-wrote all 14 tracks, and even had help from Miranda Lambert. The lead single from the CD is "White horse", and the title track is "Higher". Songs you should also check out are "What am I gonna do", "Trust", & "It takes a woman". Other songs you may like are "Think I'm in love with you", "Crosswind", & "The mountains of my mind". The stand out tracks in my mind are "The bottom", "The day I die", & "Weight of your world". Here is the rest of the track list now.
Track list.
What am I gonna do.
South Dakota.
Trust.
It takes a woman.
The fire.
Think I'm in love with you.
Loving you on my mind.
White horse.
Higher.
The bottom.
The day I die.
Crosswind.
Weight of your world.
Mountains of my mind.
And that's a wrap for the track list. And on the MSR (Midnight Star Report), I would give this album a 5 out of 5 stars. I felt like this was a well balanced album. There was a lot of stand out tracks from this new project. And Chris is one to put his heart and soul into every song he does for us. If you are a Chris Stapleton fan, this is an album you must get. Thanks for taking the time to read this review. See ya all next time.
