Map of Berk

Credit to DanGref on DA for the larger map of Berk, I believe it was taken from one of the games - I usually say that those are Dubious Canon but since we have nothing else and it looks pretty close I'm including it on my map.

I made a better map of Berk, hopefully it's understandable? There's a couple of problems with it:

for one, Gobber's house in "Legend of the Boneknapper" is the same house as Snotlout & Spitelout's in "Race to Fireworm Island" ???? - so I left it as Gobber's since it's close to his Smithy and I'm putting the Shorts in a higher category of Canon than the shows I guess?

Astrid's house in "Team Astrid" is the same as the Armoury in "In Dragons We Trust" ???? - so I left it as the Armoury since it's seen in multiple episodes as "The Armoury" and Astrid's house is burned down.

Aaand I couldn't find the path to the Academy/Arena so I left it blank.

I would've liked to put things like The Cove, Bucket & Mulch's farm, the Path to Gothi's Hut, and the Beaches that they keep visiting onto the map, but there never seems to be a solid spot of any of them, so I'm presuming they're too far away to be on this map.

I hate Damian's new longer hair and sidebang look because I really do feel like, for the first time, DC is really trying to homogenize him into "Robin."

Like not only do they not give him a distinguishably darker skin tone 9.9 times out of 10, but now they are literally giving him the default Robin™️ hairstyle as well as a much more laid back personality and more Soft Boy™️ traits that feel straight out of a x Wattpad reader fic from 2015.

Y'all can say he's "developing as a character" or "growing up" all you want, but what I see is DC forcing him to fit in a box he never belonged in in the first place, and as someone who's been following his journey since 2009, I don't want Damian to be Robin if Dick isn't his Batman. He didn't want to be Robin if Dick wasn't his Batman. He was never supposed to be Robin without Dick as his Batman.

Literally and figuratively.

Lazarus Island was finally a step forward towards Damian developing into his own, and then Batman & Robin took him five steps back. He is regressing before my eyes into the same indistinguishable bird blob as the rest of them that in 10 years people are going to post pics of this era more than any prior and be like "is this dick damian jason or tim???" and it's so dissappointing.

I just want him to be his own character without the weight of the legacy of the mantle that comes with being specifically at Bruce's side. Give it to a character who already fits the archetype without having to change themselves to...like Maps Mizoguchi. TY and gobbless. 🙏

I don't like any of the maps I've seen for HTTYD so i'm playing a puzzle game w all the locations. This is the 3rd version so far

Campaign starting area - an island in the northern hemisphere, where the border between the Kingdom of Anephia and The Crimson Vale can be found :)

Right now they're having shenanigans in Geduld before moving onto the greater Anephia, but they'll be back someday to explore Shollaah too!

Some rough sketch maps of the forest territories at the start of Skyfall: prophecies begin and the lake at the end of Skyfall: Power of Five. I flipped Shadow over to the marshy area because i have made them definitively the bog/wetland/marsh group. Also more houses for daylight warriors when Sky shows up.

kind of unfortunate that so many fantasy epics are also war novels because i will be honest i just do not like war novels that much... the grand clashing of forces is compelling obviously but it requires characters to talk about so much practical battle strategy and while i can get my brain to comprehend all these fantasy maps and kingdoms and borders and battalions and front lines and army movements it takes up. so much space in the book. feels like i'm fighting a war of my own trying to get through it sometimes

I think you mentioned something like this before but one of my favorite things about azure moon is that the other lords are more prominent in the story (at least in comparison to the other routes) like there's an entire chapter dedicated to helping out Claude, and you get Edelgard as the main antagonist + her relationship with Dimitri and their childhood flashbacks

SEE thats why i love AM, even if its not the most enlightening when it comes to fodlans lore. I eat character driven stories and tragic relationships up for breakfast
