You know when you're cold, and the cold makes you shiver, but it's a shivering that makes you kind of hysterical, but not like a crying hysterical, but like, like a nervous energy hysterical? Well I feel this way, why, I don't know, I just need my STUPID FRIENDS TO MAKE UP THEIR MIND SO WE CAN KEEP WATCHING THE REST OF THE SAW MOVIES SO THAT I CAN HAVE MY QUIET MOMENT OF FIXING ON ADAM FAULKNER-STANHEIGHT WITHOUT HAVING TO THINK THAT THE "Jigsaw Apprentice Lawrence Gordon" TAG IN AO3 ISN'T A SILLY FANDOM INVENTION AND NOT SOMETHING CANONICAL. I'm losing my fucking mind (I'm in STRONG denial)

I think this is also because I've been listening to Wishing's "Good Night Dad, I Love You" on loop about fifty times now. And I feel like the "song" (Because it's a nostalgic melody without lyrics that makes me want to pull my hair out) it suits Starscream, Warp, TC and Jetfire from my AU too well because the last three see Starscream as a caretaker, a babysitter, a Sempu, a friend, a brother, a father. All in one, and that makes me feel really bad for some reason (but the good bad, you know what I mean? It makes my stomach turn and makes me want to cry because they are so cute)

been thinking abt tfp elite trine scenarios lately

ik it's implied (at least, form what i remembered) that TC and skywarp were killed at some point pre tfp, but i very much love AUs where most of the seekers are actually missing in action and still out there, most decepticons (starscream especially) just assume they're dead, and TC n skywarp end up on earth at some point.

bonus if it's apart of a better written "starscream striking out on his own" arc, cuz i can only imagine how happy n relieved he would be knowing that his trinemates are alive n here with him and how it sparks hope that the seekers are still out, that he no longer has to fear that he's possibly the only one of his kind left n how TC n skywarp are much the same in being reunited with their leader, their true leader.

i'd also think it'd be really cute n funny to incorporate it into starscream x human reader/OC scenarios, like he genuinely has no way of telling them that that he initially took in this organic for the cause, but mostly personal gain, and it lead to him becoming emotionally attached to them/interfacing with them... without it sounding awkward as hell. his trine are not so surprised by this (seekers know how to get their freak on, no one can convince me otherwise) but they are very curious about said human, mostly abt how did something that smol n fragile managed to captivate their own, meanwhile human is just standing like "please be nice to me, i'm just a worm 🥺". eventually they do grow fond of them and come see them as like another trinemate, skywarp likes to tease and mess around with them while thundercracker dotes on them cuz they're so tiny. and while starscream was a bit overprotected of how they would treat them for bit (he had to give them a crash course on "proper human care" much to his human's dismay lol) it secretly warms his spark of how his trine came to love them like he did.

idk, i just really love the "what if" scenarios of the seekers still being alive and active in tfp. tbh i wish we could've gotten at least a flashback to starscream's air commander days to see what the seekers were like in vos, esp just to see tfp skywarp n thundercracker and how everything fell apart, i feel like we were robbed in seeing more of star's background in the show even though the opportunity was there. forever mourning what could've been 😔

ohhhhh i love those aus!! i love giving starscream some sort of motivation to leave the decepticons to search for him. like, imagine some rogue bot getting tortured by megatron for information and accidentally letting it slip that tc and warp might still be alive. there's no WAY starscream wouldn't go out to look for them!

and the JOY upon finding his old trinemates again! seeing his only family alive, knowing he isn't the last seeker left, he'd be over the moon! of course, there would be the angst, the guilt of everything he's done throughout the course of the war, but i like to think that his trine, especially tc, would be willing to bring him back in. he's family, and that's what matters.

also yeah, the trine getting attached to starscream's personal human would be adorable! they'd tease starscream initially, because of course, this secretly sentimental doofus would get attached to the wildlife, but his human wins them over by the power of humans being adorable in cybertronian eyes. they'd be an honorary trine member really quickly! (also, you KNOW warp would tease the hell out of starscream once he learns that starscream and the human are in a relationship!)

starscream's backstory really should've been elaborated on further in tfp, it's a shame that it wasn't. he'd be so fascinating to see more of!

Elite Trine holoforms from my latest fan fic chapter!

I've been thinking about adding Skywarp and Thundercracker to my AU for a while now. :0 I'm thinking the two of them and Screamer will be a set of triplets. Not clones or drones or whatever else they may be in other continuities. Any other "seekers" or "flight frames"...? Will not look identical to the trio.

(These are a little batch of test redesigns. I have a looot more passes to do before I'm satisfied! <XDD)

And then Jetfire... I've thought about adding him which is why I've drawn this scene for fun, buuuuuutt ultimately I don't think Jetfire has a place in my AU. It leaves too many plot holes and angst in its wake.

(A ramble on why Jetfire wont work is below! <XD)

The first reason why I don't think Jetfire (aka Skyfire) can exist in my AU, is because of this paragraph from his wiki:

"Millions of years ago on Cybertron, before the war, Skyfire and Starscream were good friends and fellow scientists. On a mission of exploration to prehistoric Earth, Skyfire was lost in a storm. Starscream searched, but there was no sign of his comrade. He returned home."

Now, Optimus does say that Earth and Cybertron have been intertwined for what seems like forever. But -unless there's something I don't know/remember- no living cybertronian ever set foot/made any contact with Earth in any way until AFTER the war began. So how and why did Starscream and Jetfire go to Earth before the war? It conflicts with canon.

The second reason is a simple one really. While it may have worked in G1, I cannot find a logical explanation as to HOW Jetfire was still alive and could be reactivated after crashing into the Arctic. It not like he was put into stasis on purpose and kept in a special pod in the warm desert, like Skyquake. He CRASHED into the ARCTIC. So not only was he wounded but there was literally a WHOLE EPISODE in Prime about how the cold has devastating effects on the cybertronian body. Within HOURS of being there, Optimus Prime and Arcee were literally about to die. There is just no way Jetfire logically survives in this continuity..

And lastly, there's where the story would go afterwards. And I don't like what I see. :(

You see, if I bring Jetfire into my AU, I want him to stay friends with Starscream and stay with him. But making that happen requires me to break at least something from canon.

Option 1: Jetfire stays with the Decepticons and supports their cause. Which wont work because his whole story arc is being an ex-con who doesn't agree with what their doing-

Option 2: Starscream has a redemption arc and joins the Autobots with Jetfire. This is a problem because I would want Thundercracker and Skywarp to go with them. And tbh I don't think any of the screamers can be redeemed. They're cons to their core. To make them switch sides would feel too forced. Plus I like the 3 idiots being cons and getting on Megs nerves XD

Option 3: The timeline is the same as G1. Jetfire splits from the cons and joins the Autobots, leaving the triplets behind. This is obviously sad and I don't want that. 🫸

So with that all laid out, I have Jetfire in the bleachers for now. If I can find a way to solve all 3 of these problems then I'll add him to my AU in a heart beat. And everyone is welcome to correct me on any of these if I got the facts wrong or if you have any ideas on how to bring him into my AU! :0 I want to add him I just don't see a satisfying way to do it yet.
