We lucked out so good with Jacob Anderson and Sam Reid i still can't believe it. They brought in Grey Worm from GoT and pulled out some guy from australian hinterlands or wherever they've been keeping him, neither of them being what most fans originally had in mind. And then Jacob so vividly brought alive a character that has never been done justice and Sam just got straight up possessed by Lestat. AND they proceeded to have literally one of the most mind-alteringly good chemistries between onscreen couples ever in history. Making me fully buy into the characters' tortured gothic romance and feel like they're always seconds away from rawdogging each other. I would say they were raised in a lab but this is magic and fate in action i'm serious

if i may just whimper pathetically for a second. first of all this one sentence, which could very easily be made into three sentences, is 128 words long. secondly there's a comma splice (which is allowed in formal written french but definitely makes things harder to parse). thirdly it took me like ten minutes to figure out that the subject of "a causés" is "la prosodie" because i missed the "de" before "la rime" and so thought the subject of "a causés" was the plural "la prosodie et la rime", which is not the writer's fault except insofar as it is easier to miss a word when there are 128 of them. fourthly that "et de Rousseau à Proust" is really rude because, coming after a comma instead of in a new sentence, the "de" feels like it should be referring back to the last de in the main clause, which was "le besoin de", but that doesn't make any fucking sense, and you have to wait several more words to find "l'étude", which isn't even set off by a comma. fifthly the "sentences" (not pictured) directly before and after this one are not actually sentences as none of them contain a main verb, something also allowed in written french but imo really rude to do in excess. this guy is like "a sentence is EITHER five sentences in a trenchcoat OR a lone noun phrase (with subordinate clauses of course)." dude can we not just split the difference. i'm suffering here.
sixthly even after eventually managing to parse the syntax i still had no idea what he was saying because i confused réparer with repérer. that's one's definitely on me though.

You have no idea how happy I am to see that other people like you don't like blades 2 as well. Like yes it was decent, but on the same level as book 1 in the LEAST.
And I agree, book 3 seems like an excuse to get fans off of their back about the writing. The finale felt extremely disappointing, compared to the thrill you could feel in book 1 end
Yeah, I’m still gonna play book 3 and (foolishly) hope that it’ll be better. But those hopes aren’t too high because book 2 was not a good set up for book 3 at all in my opinion. There’s so much going on. I don’t like that Valax is a part of our friend group now. However, the group dynamics were off long before that if I’m being real. Mal’s route was ruined for me.
When I was going through and deleting my screenshots the other day, I reread the “You slept through it scene” and just felt a renewed sense of hurt and anger at him and really all of our friends. Mal caught a lot of heat from me specifically because he’s my LI and the one who said such an awful thing. But honestly, the rest of the group essentially agreed with him by expanding on what he said (Imtura and Nia) or not saying anything at all (Tyril) and only getting on one accord to exclude MC.
And then on top of all of that, there are quite a few holes that really should be patched up. The plot was a mess for the majority of the story. Tbh it was almost giving Endless Summer because they were locking important information behind diamond scenes and in the lore tablets.
So all this to say that at this point in time, I no longer have faith that PB can handle complex storytelling. Their parent company and higher ups (unsurprisingly) only care about money. And the writers themselves are too lazy and too biased. Does that mean they can no longer write enjoyable stories? No, of course not. But I do think they need to rein it in and be a bit more realistic about what they can handle right now because there’s nothing wrong with a simpler book/plot that’s aware of what it’s trying to accomplish. And it’s clear that they were far too ambitious with Blades 2

you know what. i do not feel bad that family/friends delay telling me their dog acquiring news because they fear i'll be judgmental. 1.) like hmmm. why do we have something bad to judge i wonder?? 2.) i have never been incorrect in my judgements of people's backyard breeder buying habits being bad ideas for those individuals. and it's so clear that the family/friends of mine that delay their dog news know they are getting dogs from less than reputable sources just based on their behavior. like c'mon people. let's set you up for success instead.

What is honest thought on Audrey Rose?
i like her a lot. my whole thing is applying depth to stereotypically mean characters so she's right up my alley.

no because I'm also so bored of Malbonte's route in HS2. I get he is working for his own goals and I'm not expecting Lucifer levels "I will go against my interests for the woman I love" bc that's not his style, but idk something. Idk maybe is bc Mimi, Dino and Luci have had some progression in two seasons, but Malbonte has barely changed from who he was in S1.
right?? that's so true 💀
my thing is also like. the downside of hs2 being a sequel that's not a sequel where, even if malbonte wasn't your endgame in hs1, there's supposed to be this HUGE history between him and vicky that just isn't there
i mean ?? girl literally set his angel half free, was part of the ritual that "revived" him and literally fought the war at his side if you chose that. LIKE???? WHERE IS THAT HISTORY. it doesn't carry over into ANY interactions between them, regardless of whether he was your endgame. i could be overlooking some things but literally the only thing that seems to carry over is her feeling empty without his power and all that
it's just so disappointing because if hs2 was an Actual sequel that carried that history over and added it to their scenes and interactions, malbonte's route would be UNPARALLED bro. at least with lucifer there's the push and pull and a similar dynamic to hs1 which gives off "old love" energy and makes you feel the history between him and vicky

I know you don’t like the D3 outfits but what do you think about the fits in Good to be Bad?
high key-the BEST outfits of the movie, they fit each character so well and while they dont feel like outfit outfits-they feel like clothes Evie made for the four of them to celebrate their roots
like-look at these!!! they feel very similar to their first outfits from d1!! but they're changed-new! fresh! these aren't the kids fresh from the isle anymore-they are not their parent's kids-they have grown up, come into their own, they are of the isle-but they are not only of the isle, they are of Aruadon, their loved ones, their hopes and dreams-they have pulled away from their parents and have become their own being! they take inspiration yes-like colors and edges, but they are not copies!
i firmly believe these outfits should've been our main outfits, their adventure outfits, because ahahaha FUCK the motor cross gear-that shit still looks SO BAD
