FINE! I will have fun and participate in the sleepover weekend festivities 😳

just for some context: my experience with fandoms pre-st were... fine? i never really made strong connections with anyone in them or interacted with mutuals as much. i was always kinda lurking in the shadows and reading fic and rbing fandom posts but never really participating like i am now. this is definitely the most fun and most comfortable i have ever felt in a fandom space <3

One Direction (2013 - 2017 (some may argue it never leaves you)) - oh. my boys. it was the best of times, it was the worst of times. i lied, i totally still have a friend/mutual that i still keep in touch with from these days that my sister met on twitter in 2013. ANYWAY not much to say other than the brainrot was semi-cured by the breakup but i will be a louis girl till the day i die.

The 100 (late 2014 - late 2017) - LOVED the fics. GREAT fics that came from this fandom. left/fell off when the show just became unwatchable TO ME. no hate to anyone who stayed longer, it just crossed my Bullshit Threshold (which is pretty low considerign i am a st fan LOL). Also Minty was MY ship for the longest time and will ALWAYS be bitter that they made Miller gay and Minty NOT canon *throwing tomatoes throwing tomatoes*.

Star Wars (little kid sen - old lady sen) - THIS ONE. This is my ride or die. I will love star wars until i am in the ground. BUT i was sent death threats on twitter in 2017 for defending tlj and after that pulled back from participating in fandom as much. still read fics and cheered ppl on from the sidelines on here. *blows a kiss to the sky for poe dameron*

Honorable mentions:

Timeless (2016-2018) - the NBC show that lasted 2 seasons but had the most UNNECESSARILY good fics and the BEST fandom bloggers holy shit. i am still shook by a fic i read back in those days. it was sadly cancelled before it's time, no matter how many petitions i signed or letters i wrote to execs that summer of 2018 :/

Revolution (2012 - 2014) - ANOTHER 2 season NBC show that was cancelled before it should have been!!! i was a freshman in high school when i found this fandom, the show was airing on tv at the time, and it was the fandom that i think introduced me to the Basics of Fan Spaces which is really special to me. i also remember reading fic on ff.net for this show which is awesome lolol.

give us some headcanons for your favorite pokemon anime ships!

OKAY!! my main pokemon anime ship is contestshipping because of course it is. it was literally made in a lab with the specific purpose of making me insane. anyways 99% of my contestshipping headcanons are centred around the fact that drew is canonically from vancouver (larousse city) which is just so so funny to me?... like lol. hes from vancouver. anyways what this means for the non-canadians is that i headcanon drew as being a vegetarian and really annoying about it. considering may is such a foodie i think this has potential for the most stupid date situations possible like i think they try to go out for dinner early in their relationship and it just ends so badly because drew keeps sulking about the menu and making pointed holier-than-thou comments about ethics or whatever and may is just so bothered by his whole deal that she cant even enjoy the meal. this is eventually resolved later in their relationships (mostly by them drew mellowing out and them agreeing to disagree) and may makes an effort to find nice vegetarian restaurants to try.

this isn't exactly a ship headcanon (#1 aroace ash truther) but i think misty and gary are both into ash but are SO deeply in denial that it literally takes them into their twenties before they come to terms with it. when they do recognize their true feelings they are both content to just keep things as they are and happily cherish the bond close friendship. platonic love you know. that being said i totally think that the two of them end up getting really drunk together one night and just spend it bitching about ash. they both share ridiculous stories and whine about how frustratingly stupid he is and reminisce over his many achievements and how proud they are etc. etc. anyways they both forge a warriors bond over both being into the same idiot

Oooh the gen 2 gals

Staci: She’s a fairly funny character in canon! I get a good chuckle from how other characters react to her (especially Dawn. I think it’s so funny whenever they get mad or annoyed). Also I think it’s cute that she styles hair :]. Though more of my affection for Staci comes from fanon. I greatly enjoy the idea that Staci is insecure socially and uses her lies to try to find validation from her peers. She’s sadly my least favorite of roti’s cast but that’s much more about of how much I like gen 2 than anything else.

Dakota: Dakota is genuinely one of my absolute favorite characters in all of total drama. I love her character concept because of just how popular Total Drama is in-universe of course a teenager would look towards it for fame. The additional idea of her returning as an intern is genuinely creative and well executed. I think genuinely all of her jokes land and they capture her personality perfectly to make her flawed and in need of growing but still completely likable throughout. Her and Sam’s romance is well developed and genuinely sweet, and love that it actively makes both characters better in my opinion. I have some mixed feeling about Dakotazoid, but I do like how plays into her character arc and I think her being a wrestler and living her dream of being famous through a new angle is delightful.

Dawn: TD D&D SWEEP Dawn is such a unique and funny character. I think she could interact well with basically any other character in the series. I absolutely adore how the writers used her as a tool for the audience to learn more about other characters. They’re a fun little oddity to think about. Easily one of the most memorable early (or earlish) boot characters in the show. My thoughts on Dawn that aren’t just rambles are rather concise but do not think that means I adore this character any less.

Anne Maria: Anne Maria is a very funny character that I think is under appreciated in a wide sense! She has such a fun little personality and I like this line she balances between being either very sweet or brash. It makes her a rather well rounded character in my eyes! She has so many memorizable lines More like Queen I’m-A-Dorka! and just moments in general. This is rather small I do like how Anne Maria sticks up for Cameron and Brick, it’s very sweet to me. Speaking of Anne and Brick I also like how she took his early position as being Jo’s opposition! They have a fun back and forth. Anne Maria is a very fun character that I wish had a bit more focus in the season proper. Also her and Vito are cute :>

Svetlana: Svetlana is an entertaining character! I have a notable enjoyment of athletic td characters that can dominate challenges. I wouldn’t say necessarily say she’s my favorite of the system but she does have my favorite moments of them I think. Svetlana helps you now. Yes, I am knowning this! Svet steals the show whenever she shows up and I like that its a genuine character trait. She’s a showboat! She knows she’s talented and is going to make sure others know!

Jo: What a standout character Jo is! Easily one of my favorites in the season proper. She’s such a bulldozer she easily directs the whole season into how it turns out. I realize I’ve. said this multiple times but Jo is genuinely such a hilarious character, I love her nicknames and I think she has an amazing va! Jo has a plethora of amazing rivalries between Cameron, Brick, and Lightning and I think that’s apart of why she’s so vital to ROTI’s dna! And I do appreciate an episode dedicated to showing off her insecurities! It makes her so much more two dimensional and an interesting character to think about! Jo’s amazing.

Zoey: What an odd character Zoey ended up being. A character that was presented with often conflicting personality traits that were quite possibly made unconsciously by the writers. Still however, I find those conflicting personality traits to be exceptionally interesting and makes Zoey a more complex character to a degree. I do find it disappointing her label as the Indie Chick wasn’t always used to its full potential, there’s elements of it in Zoey’s scenes of course, but she doesn’t wear her stereotype on her sleeve like her castmates do. Over all, the best way I can say how i feel about Zoey is that she’s an enjoyable character when not in the presence of her love interest. Which is unfortunate of course. However, I’d rather not leave this on a poor note so I’ll say this, I do really like Commando Zoey. I like that Zoey realized her own vulnerability in the game and did something about it. Her frustration with Scott and even with herself possibly manifesting in a hardcore challenge beast. She gets so in her head about surviving the competition however, she loses herself and puts Cameron into harm’s way. I like that she snaps out of it and effectively abandons her place in the game for her friend. I like Zoey when I think about her, but I don’t think she was used to her full potential in the season proper

6. What’s the hardest thing you’ve ever had to do?

I've been very blessed not to have that difficult of a life, especially compared to what other people I know have been through, so I'm honestly not sure...

Moving around a lot as a kid was hard. I never really felt like I had roots or belonged anywhere because we would always just have to pack up and leave again. But I'm not sure that's really what the question is asking since I was a just kid and didn't have a lot of choice in the matter.

In terms of something I had to do that I decided for myself, I once had to lie to someone very close to me. It was really difficult because I don't like playing mind games with people and prefer to be direct (and am, often, pretty blunt). It's always so important to me to be honest even if it's a hard truth, but...in this particular case, I just knew that the truth would hurt more than it would help.

There are some things in life that are better left unsaid, but that didn't make it any easier.

23. Have you ever had a crush on someone?  Do you have a crush now?

I know I always say I'm "married to school" and don't want to date until I have a master's degree and that's all true, but yes, I have had had a crush on someone before (do I have to say who?)

...It was back in high school. He was brilliant, ambitious, and unbelievably competitive and stubborn, but I'd never met anyone so driven. We kind of had this rivalry to be top of our class and fought all the time which was fun but also probably why it didn't end up working out.

Do I have one now? My friends certainly seem to think so... 🙄 But honestly, I think I only have eyes for my (future) civil engineering degree. 😏

I really wish the show would’ve explored Chase’s knack for writing/filmmaking as a whole more. I think it would’ve been a super compelling reason for him to go to England instead of him being written off to essentially swap places with Zoey. But then idk we might’ve never gotten that iconic webcam scene so 👀

Congrats! You have successfully identified a half-formed idea that's been sitting in my drafts for a whole year.

I kind of have mixed thoughts on Chase as a writer. I include it in my fics but mostly as a nod to fandom (I loved two fics early on that had him as like, the insomniac coffee-as-black-as-my-soul writer) because I dislike The Play as an episode and Chase and Michael's weird little iCarly-precursor never really worked for me. So Lola took over the drama club representation and then Chase kind of becomes too busy being the emotional core of the show to be pigeon-holed into a singular interest or quirk like her or Quinn (plus I'd argue that Sean's own interest in music and inability to be parted with a guitar got incorporated over something like writing because Dan tends to do that with cast members, and I think he was more comfortable writing something that could parallel his own life's interest from a female perspective).

I think I personally associate the actual toon with Michael because it was more his style of humour, but I also tend to characterise Michael as being very interested in a lot of things (comedy, singing, flute-playing) that he's been told are impractical, so he's always trying to juggle them with more traditional career paths. Had the show kept more of the Pepperdine recruitment ad vibe like S1-2 we might have gotten more insight into Chase and Michael's career aspirations, but it's also pretty realistic for teenagers not to have a clear idea. Plus, I much prefer the teen drama we got in the good half of S3 (not S4, it can jump in a lake).

13. You're given an unlimited budget to build anything you want!  What do you build and where do you build it?

I'd definitely build a bridge! It's always been my dream to build bridges ever since I was little. Since the budget is unlimited it would be nice to build a more expensive type of bridge like a suspension bridge or a tied-arch/bowstring bridge (that's one of my favorites, actually, so I might have to choose that).

The type of bridge is really going to be dependent on where its being built though since certain bridges are better suited for certain conditions (i.e. distance and local weather).

I'd want to build my bridge wherever it was needed most and where it would benefit the most people.

20. Describe your biggest pet peeve.

I've always been pretty irked by people refusing to apologize and failing to own up to their mistakes whether that be by insisting they've done nothing wrong or by pushing the blame onto others and insisting that their mistakes are "always somebody else's fault." Everyone makes mistakes (I certainly have made a lot of them myself). The best and most mature response is always to say, "I realize I messed up here. I'm sorry" (even when it's difficult and humbling to admit) and to try to make things right. For someone to dig in their heels, refuse to take responsibility, and insist they've done nothing wrong or that it wasn't their fault, is often entitled, narcissistic, and juvenile. It also shows an unwillingness to learn and to change which has always been very off-putting to me.

There's no chance to learn and grow from our mistakes if we don't take responsibility for them.

22. What's the easiest way to flirt with you?

(...why is everyone so interested in my love life? You know I don't really have one, right? 😅)

Um...honestly no one I've ever been romantically interested in has been particularly skilled at flirting. I think it's probably because I'm generally drawn to people who are genuine and sincere (not just in a romantic sense but in a platonic one too). Honesty is really important to me, and oftentimes really charismatic people come off as disingenuous which I find slimy and off-putting, especially when they're flirting. Thankfully, Kyle, who has more charisma than he knows what to do with, has only ever seen me like a sister and has never tried to hit on me because I doubt we would've ever become friends otherwise (even though I know that under all that flirty bravado he's really just a goofball).

I like to think I'm a pretty discerning judge of character even though most people are not 100% honest all time. We all hide parts of ourselves, I think, especially our vulnerabilities, but there's a difference between being private and being fake. I don't mind putting in the effort to get to know "the real you," but there has to be something real and sincere upfront because you can't build any lasting relationship on only smoke & mirrors.

In that way, I guess that the easiest way to get me to like you would probably be just by being yourself, and however, you flirt--no matter how awkward it is--it's honestly kind of endearing because it's you and that's real.

In terms of specific types of flirting though...I've always enjoyed a witty banter. I've always been the type to tease to show affection, and people say I'm fairly quick-witted so, I'll admit, that particular brand of flirting is pretty enjoyable to me. 😁

creating makes me feel very accomplished and also it's very freeing. like being able to express myself in some creative way, whether it be writing, crafts, performing arts, etc, is such a good self-esteem boost so much so that i went in a career path that involves a lot of creativity!! but really, being able to show myself in some kind of physical form is incredibly freeing and i fucking love creating <3

THIS IS A GREAT QUESTION!! i think this is why i gravitated towards fandom in the first place way back in 2013 when i moved to a new state and knew nobody. it was the first time i experienced social anxiety in real life and having something like fandom to fall back on for social interaction was really therapeutic. i think it creates healthy fandom experiences because we all do this for fun. some people have monetary ties to fandom (which is great! go off!!), but most of us do this in our spare time simply because we love it. we all get to start with a common ground (the media we consumed) and then branch off into personal relationships from there. i love being a part of fandom and i love meeting new people in this way!! i'll admit sometimes it's hard to not gravitate towards discussing media in real life as a way to make friends BUT sometimes it truly does work!! i even have friends who will text me after they watch a show to have these kinds of conversations with me bc they fuckin Know if i've seen it, i've already made a playlist about it and watched 2039482039 interviews and followed all the actors and have many feelings about it lmao.... i love being a fangirl<3

They were in a car talking about their crushes when you heard your girlfriend’s name come up. “Celebrity crushes. Billie eilish. Duh.” Quen said and Tara looked over at her with a smile. “One time actually five years ago I did like a YouTube video with my friend Kevin and he asked me if he could change places with one person for a day who would it be and I said Billie eilish.” Tara said while looking in the camera. “Well duh.” Quen commented back.

“But that was five years ago.” She said and quen looked over at her. “Would it still be true?” She smiled and Tara smiled back. “Yeah. Like I would do anything to wear her as a suit.” She said seriously and quen agreed. “She’s definitely one of my celebrity crushes.” Tara confess and quen nodded then the video went off. You grumbled In annoyance but it got worse when Billie came through the bedroom door with a big smile on her face. “Tara yummy has invited me over to her party tonight and she said I can bring you.” She said with a big grin on her face.

You saw how genuinely happy and excited she looked so you didn’t wanna mess it up so you agreed. “Great! I’ll let her know we said yes and we can go ahead and get ready.” She said as she pulled out her phone. You put yours away and got up from the bed to go to y’all’s closet. A few minutes later you came out with a skirt and a crop top on. Billies eyes widen at you and she whistled loudly. “Damnnnnn mama you looking fine as fuck!” She exclaimed loudly as she went over to you and turned you around slowly making you blush like crazy. “I’m gonna go ahead and get dressed now babe.” She said as she leaned down to give your forehead a soft kiss making you smile. “Alright. I’m going to the bathroom to put on some makeup.” You said and she nodded, disappearing to the closet.

You went into the bathroom and started your makeup and a few minutes later bilkie came out with a baggy button up shirt, her glasses, some baggy jeans, some bulky shoes, her hit me hard and soft belt, and her bandana. Your eyes widen at her appearance and you felt yourself drooling at her making billie smirk. “You good babygirl?” She chuckled as she came in the bathroom with you, standing beside you in the mirror as she started to put on mascara and eyeliner. You didn’t say anything but nod your head fast making her giggle. “Cat got your tongue?” She teased and you rolled your eyes playfully. “More like you got my tongue.” You said with a smile and Billie laughed. The two of you finished getting ready and headed out the front door outside to dragon.

Billie drove y’all to the party and parked near the house where there could have been at least over two hundred cars outside. Billie stepped out of the car and went to your side to help you out, making you smile. “Why thank you, you’re such a gentle lady.” You say playfully and Billie playfully smirked as she bent forward in a polite teasing way. “Of course m’lady. Right this way.” She said in a British accent, making you giggle. The two of you went up to the house and knocked on the door. Tara opened it and let out a gasp and immediately pulled Billie into a hug which made your insides feel weird. “Oh my gosh y’all made it! Come in come in!” Tara said excitedly as she pulled Billie in and you hurried up behind them.

Once inside, Billie was pulled through by Tara while you were behind them trying to catch up. Tara took her to the group of people that included Gracie abrams, Zoey, Nick, Alex, quen, etc. you were relieved that you recognized some people and you immediately went up to Zoey as Billie and Tara was talking to the others. “Is it bad that I’m jealous?” You said to Zoey shyly and she gave you reassuring smile. “I would be a little jealous too especially after the video she posted with quen and how she’s clinging onto Billie but I wouldn’t worry about it. Billie is literally head over heels obsessed over you. If you aren’t with her she talks about you all the time. She completely adores you y/n.” Zoey says and you look over at her, giving her a hug. “Thanks z…” you said and she hugs you back tight, rubbing your back in a comforting way.

“Don’t mention it. I promise there’s nothing for you to worry about.” She said and you nodded and decided to stick with Zoey for the rest of the party. An hour later you were dancing with Zoey on the dance floor trying to get your mind off of Billie when you saw Tara and her dancing. Tara had her hands on her and that’s when you snapped. You couldn’t stand to look at them anymore so you excused yourself from Zoey and went to the bathroom. You went in a stall and had your face in your hands trying not to cry . A few seconds later you heard the door open and a familiar voice. “Babygirl? Are you in here? I saw you come in here.” Billie said and you slowly opened up the stall door to see your girlfriend staring at you with a worried expression.

You closed the stall behind you and stood in front of her as she looks down at you. “Is everything okay?” She asked quietly as she could tell how upset you are right now. You didn’t say anything and just stared at the bathroom floor, playing with your fingers nervously. Billie took her fingers and gently lifted your chin up to look in her blue eyes. “You know you can tell me anything darling.” She said softly as she rubs your cheek softly. “Tara has a crush on you.” You spat out and Billie gave you a shocked expression. “She said it in a video with quen…they both like you…” you said quietly and Billie still had the same expression plastered on her face which made you nervous then she let out a loud cackle.

“Babygirl I don’t give a rats ass if they like me. They aren’t my sweet girl are they?” She said gripping your chin again making you look straight into her blue eyes making you feel weak in the knees. “You’re my girl and you always will be. No one will change that. Ever and you know you can always come to me if you are having those thoughts okay?” She said, leaning down to press a gently kiss to your forehead making you blush like crazy. “T-thank you bils…I’m sorry…” you apologized and Billie shook her head, smiling down at you. “No need for that babygirl. She giggled and led you out of the bathroom with your hands in hers as she tells everyone she’s leaving. She doesn’t even give Tara a hug bye which makes you smirk to yourself. You knew that being jealous was stupid and even when you feel it again, you know you can count on Billie to make those thoughts go away, becuase to her, you are her sweet girl always.
