#1. obvious first place. the best one. very emotional. their looks and hugs. as if it's not the last concert, but they're saying goodbye forever. 🥹💔 I spent months rewatching it and sighing 🥲 dreaming of another tour, imagining what incredible kisses there must be in 2023. and then the rehearsal happened and i was just heartbroken. i'm still sad that they are messing with outro, but i'm really glad that they still love each other and let us see at least some of their tenderness towards each other. there's still a long way to go and i hope that we have many, many more cute things to come 🥹💔💖

How do you think Rick will react to RJ?

Oh gosh, my eyes water up anytime I try to think about this. 😭 The RJ element of TOWL is something I’m so eager for and also so unprepared for.

Every time my mind tries to picture Rick reacting first to the news of his son and then to finally meeting his son, the two words that come to mind is “overwhelmingly emotional.” That’s how I think Rick will be/feel.

I don’t have a specific reaction in mind but whatever it is, I think his reaction will convey an overwhelming amount of joy, an overwhelming amount of sadness, and (what will shatter my heart to see) an overwhelming amount of guilt. For Rick, learning that he and Michonne had a baby will be simultaneously the greatest news ever and also devestating knowing he wasn’t able to be there for his son during the first years of his life.

If he already feels like he failed in making it home to his wife and daughter, I think Rick will feel that extra hard knowing there was also his baby boy to to get back to. I always envision Rick being super apologetic that he wasn’t there to take care of Michonne during the pregnancy and to change diapers in the middle of the night and to just be there raising their kids alongside her. And then as Michonne has always done so well, I think she’ll help relieve him of any of that guilt and the fear that his kids might be disappointed in him for not making it back sooner. She’ll ensure he knows he’s not a failure and that their kids still love their dad.

In terms of Rick’s reaction when he first meets RJ…all I know is I’m going to be breaking down and I think he will too. The second Rick sees the little face of his namesake, an adorable combination of him and Michonne, and RJ innately knows that Rick is the brave man he’s long-admired - heart-tugging waterworks all around is my bet. 👌🏽💧💧💧

I was so free and assumed something got mixed up and you meant Salvadore. 😁 I wouldn’t dare to answer for Sia, but I’m very willing to poke Dujour and pass the questions along as well. 😂💗 Salvadore: 10. What lie do they most frequently remember telling? Does it haunt them? Salvadore lies for political and diplomatic reasons when his plans require it. But he never obscures too much what he believes in and stands for and wants to achieve, just steps along the way and his methods. He acts highly strategically and knows how to play people. But those maneuvers belong to situational plans, there isn’t a returning lie he frequently tells. Maybe only one thing in the Pathfinder universe: He fully worked with people’s belief that he was Iomedae’s chosen one when he already sensed/knew the lie in it. After all, he never had any connection to the goddess and not even a lot of sympathy for her as the critical atheist he is. Still, for the time being, it smoothed his rise to power to present himself as her champion. He promoted the picture to gain support, strengthen alliances, intimidate foes, and make himself known. After the reveal, he didn't continue pretending to be Iomedae’s special soldier, the lie had outlived its purpose at this point. It doesn’t haunt him at all, it was just a political tool, one he had to get rid of again. Despite his angel powers, Salvadore would dislike it if his legacy was too strongly interwoven with Iomedae. While he doesn't speak against her, he makes very sure in the aftermath that the people recording his story publish he is not and never has been her chosen one and that he follows his own self-decided path. 20. If they were asked to explain the difference between romantic and platonic or familial love, how would they do so? He actually had to think about this topic a lot, in my original universe too, but he came to a clear conclusion. Salvadore rarely allows friendship in his life but when he does, the people he considers close in that way are very important to him and experience a much less aloof side of him, warmth instead of the cold he seems to radiate on a professional level, passion, and a certain teasing, playful charm. Still, he is one of those people who make a difference in the sheer … intensity of the bond in a romantic relationship compared to a platonic relationship. While the platonic part is necessary with a romantic partner for him too, he will always put this one special person he picks to spend eternity at his side on a special pedestal. It doesn’t take from the importance and value of his friendships, but what he shares with his partner has to involve a form of connection and depth that’s at least slightly above anything else in his life - tighter, stronger, wider. Of course, things like this aren’t just there spontaneously, it has a lot to do with growing and growing together and developments and is a way rather than a sudden event. Therefore, it would be more correct to say that for him a romantic relationship needs the vivid and clear potential to rise above all else, to become something uniquely big, and to last forever. 38. What memory do they revisit the most often? I answered this one here. 🥰 B) What inspired you to create them? I never felt I did. He just came to me and allows me to write him. And the reason he did, well, might be Rowley. Rowley needed someone who would make for a worthy opponent. Why someone like Sal? Well, they contrast each other in many points and work greatly together (as in: against each other) for this very reason. I’m sure, though, my wish for a character that would be controlled, structured, ambitious, classy, confident, condescending, determined, and a true leader had its part in it too. ~ Eneas: 11. How do they cope with confusion (seek clarification, pretend they understand, etc)?

It depends on the role he plays and what’s at stake. Asking the right or wrong questions can reveal a lot about a person’s thoughts, knowledge, education, background, etc. So, if a question gives away too much, he holds it back, and researches later, using materials he gathers or by influencing someone else to get him the information he needs. In some cases, and with people with a weak resistance to it and little attention, he uses his magic to push into their minds to extract the answers right at the source.

In a more casual situation, though, when his confusion matters little, he just politely asks for clarification. 17. Are they easily embarrassed? It’s hard to embarrass Eneas. He went through too much that required him to get rid of all pride in certain moments. It taught him that pride usually serves little purpose. He doesn’t have the slightest problem to bow or kneel or to say whatever gets him what he wants or needs. When he’s attacked in a way he can’t immediately escape, he switches into a calm but submissive role, not challenging the strength of the opponent until the very moment he sees the opportunity to disarm or kill them with one single counter strike (figuratively or literally). Insults so superficial they are meant to embarrass him? Childish, they won’t cause much at all. The only embarrassment happening to him here and there is secondhand embarrassment when people act in ways he considers overly blunt, annoying, disgusting, or just unpleasant. It’s for this reason he dislikes Rowley. 😂 22. How does jealousy manifest itself in them (they become possessive, they become aloof, etc)? This answer is here. 💕 27. What causes them to feel dread? Eneas is a coward and doesn’t find enjoyment in physical fighting at all. Even from the back row with his magic, those scenarios scare him. He much prefers to win his battles in a verbal way and/or to leave those confrontations to others entirely and only pull strings from somewhere removed. But what truly causes him dread, is the loss of power. Not to smaller degrees when one of his schemes backfires slightly or takes a surprising turn (he almost always has backup planes or – if none of them fits – some talent for improvisations) but to actually find himself without all his usual options he gathered and improved like an arsenal of protection: his magic, his tools, his words and roles and stories and lies, bare of his masks. He made very, very sure that he’ll never feel as helpless and at other people’s mercy as he did during his childhood and teenage years. His deep fear of love comes from the very same corner. He experienced and later caused too much betrayal, was used in too many ways, manipulated people wherever he went and while power and safety and wealth and revenge are strong motives to work with, it’s always love (in all its facets) that drives people the farthest and leaves them the most defenseless. He himself exploits it mercilessly to lengthen his life. How could he not view it as the most dangerous thing in the world?

8) Which character do you wish to learn more about?

Elain I think. For a character that is treated as a main player, canonically we know very little about her. Her personality isn't consistent and she's more reactive than anything else. I think she's infantilised in many ways by sjm and fans (or treated like a self-insert). She's done some nasty things (mostly through her silence or passivity) and I'd like to hear her perspective so I can make up my mind on her. Right now, disliking Elain for some of the shit she's pulled feels like disliking a lamp. Even before we had acosf we had a better grasp of the depth of Nesta's character, love her or hate her. Elain deserves better canonically.

24) What’s a character you’d like to write for but haven’t yet?

mmm Gwyn probably. I have gripes with the whole Valkyrie plot but I do like Gwyn and Emerie. Also I see and appreciate the potential of Gwynriel. So yeah, somewhere in that space!

Valen is royalty and lowkey the black sheep of his family he’s loud, chaotic, charming and unhinged, Gideon is the same but emo kdjsjdjdksk (and shy sometimes) and later becomes the general of his armies

They basically go through their entire lives together and they’re very dependable on each other which is a huge part of their story. Valen has a magical disability that can be very dangerous to him and others and gideon is a victim of DV so they take turns taking care of each other and for a long time they were each other’s only friend

They grew really close which created feelings, they had their first kiss -which valen rejects and runs away from 💀- when they were teens for which gideon apologizes and responds to by building impenetrable emotional walls that lasts a lifetime all while valen is trying to gaslight him into believing Nothing happened fhdjskdj.

Several years of pining and clawing their way out of the depths of repression hell they Finally kiss for real and their happiness and planning for their future is definitely not cut short by a devastating incident or anything 👍

chanbig grindr au based on that viral grindr convo - big just moved into a new building and he gets a grindr message from one of his neighbors (chan) asking to borrow a wrench/screwdriver and big offers to help fix the problem (even though he knows jack shit about plumbing) bc chan is like the hottest guy he's seen. feat. wet tshirts and much ogling

follow up to kitty!big fic where big tries to find out why/how he turns into a cat and he and Chan get closer as they share this secret and feelings develop

big coming to work for the theerapanyakuls and going through training and becoming something like friends or master/protégé with chan, covering from pre-canon to post-canon - told from chan's perspective, as he falls in love with big (and big?? well, after he gets over kinn... 😉). I had to stop myself from working on this right after posting my last fic because it's a big project and I need a break haha

ice skating au where big is an elite skater that has lost one of his jumps and his coach brings chan in as a specialist to help him get it back. feat. chan as a hot but hardline coach and a lot of up close and personal training

Big woke up to the cold touch of ice on his face. 

Heat surrounded him from all sides, pressing heavily into his limbs and holding him down on the lounge chair. Exhaustion from the sleepless night before and the comforting warmth made it impossible for him to open his eyes. He couldn't remember the last time he felt this relaxed, and he didn't want anything to disturb him from it. 

Flinching away from the strange, cold touch, he tried to turn over onto his side, when a familiar voice cut through his fading dream.

"Big, wake up." 

Big frowned, squinting one eye open. 

A shirtless Chan, his broad shoulders gleaming under the bright afternoon sunlight, was kneeling next to him in the sand. In his hands he held two colorful drinks, each with their own flower. A small grin pressed at the corners of his lips, like he was just barely holding back his amusement at something. His eyes were soft and focused right on Big. 

He looked, for lack of a better word, like a dream. Big's dream. 

Heat muddling his mind, Big felt his hand rising up to touch Chan's face, before his thoughts kicked back in. 

Both eyes flashing open, Big inhaled sharply and jerked back, the lounge chair creaking uncertainly underneath him. His heart leapt and set off racing under his skin. 

Immediately, Chan leaned back. The amusement dropped from his face, concern taking its place. 

"Big, it's okay," he said. "It's just me."

Big hurriedly sat up, burning embarrassment and remnants of strange arousal making a mess of his head. His vision blurred and refocused in a way that made him feel sick. He felt overly warm now, his skin prickling every time he moved. 

"We're in [location]," Chan continued. Though his low voice was nothing more than factual, as if he were speaking about the weather, it was soothing. "Nothing's wrong. You're safe." 

Big shook his head, trying to clear it. His tongue felt glued to the roof of his mouth, thirst drawing his throat tight. 

Vacation. The beach. Chan. Not a dream. 

The ideas coalesced into the present, reminding him of where he was and–crucially–that he was not allowed to touch Chan like that.

Like they were lovers. 

He ignored the sharp drop of his heart at the thought, a feeling that was already all-too-familiar. He should have been used to it, after months of this painful, deepening kind of yearning that had cropped up in the wake of their shared recovery. He should have been better than this. 

A cool hand wrapping around his wrist pulled him out of his thoughts, grounding him to the present. 

"Are you going to throw up?" Chan asked, dipping his head to catch Big's eye. 

Big's voice was strangely hoarse when he could finally make himself reply. "No."

"Good. Take a drink of this," Chan said, as he folded Big's hand around one of the brightly-colored drinks. 

Big was already lifting the straw to his lips on autopilot before the thought hit him and he paused. "Does this have alcohol?"

A grin tucked itself into the corner of Chan's lips and Big could have sworn he looked amused—and perhaps, proud. 

"No. But good on you for asking. Alcohol wouldn't be good for you if you were dehydrated." 

Big could have blamed the overwhelming sunlight for the heat that spread across his face at the softly-spoken compliment, but he knew it wasn't the source. It was Chan, so close, watching him carefully.

He couldn't return the gaze. Not with his thoughts like this.

Instead, Big turned away and sipped at the sweet, cool drink, trying to keep in mind the treatment rules for dehydration and heat exhaustion Chan had drilled into all the bodyguards' heads all those years ago. Even though the first taste made him want to chug the whole drink in one go, he made himself take small sips. The last thing he wanted was to actually throw up all over Chan. 

The relief was near-immediate. He closed his eyes, breathing slowly and trying to bring his heart rate back down. 

Chan didn't say anything, and didn't move, either, as Big continued to drink. Big tried not to think of how close Chan was, how intense his gaze would be if Big opened his eyes. 

"Big, did you put on sunscreen?" Chan asked.

Big opened his eyes, frowning. "Yeah. Why?"

He wasn't expecting the brush of Chan's hand along his collarbone. His skin was strangely sensitive, the touch ten times more intense than usual. Not that Chan touched him much outside of the occasional adjustment of his form while they trained, or a friendly-ish clap on the shoulder sometimes. 

But this was far different from those. Chan slipped his fingers under the strap of Big's tank top and slowly pulled it down over his shoulder, as if he were trying to undress Big. The tips of his fingers dragged against Big's skin, still cool from where they had held the iced drink, a small relief from the overwhelming heat. 

The visual of Chan undressing him was so shocking that at first Big didn't realize what was wrong.

It was only when Chan's thumb shifted over his skin and pressed that Big snapped out of it. Sharp, electric pain lanced across his skin from where Chan had pressed and Big jerked back automatically. 

"Ow, what–?" 

"That's a bad burn," Chan said, letting go of Big's shirt and finally lifting his hand away.

2. i mean... qotsa would be right up there! i love josh's cameo on knee socks and alex's on if i had a tail, and one of my favourite ever albums (aka humbug) involved them working together. and of course i'd love them to collaborate with miles again - i loved the b-sides they did together with the death ramps stuff and 505 is so special ✨

3. god, it's so hard to choose because i've been lucky enough to go to some incredible gigs over the years!

i'm going to do a top three:

my chemical romance on their reunion tour, because they were (and are) my favourite band in the whole world and, not to sound like a huge cliche, but they really did save my life as a teenager so they'll always have a particularly special place in my heart. getting to see them live was truly like nothing else 💓

ashestoangels back in like. 2015 😭 they were a relatively small punk/goth band who kind of blew up in the local scene (and then sadly split up soon after) and they put on the most INCREDIBLE live shows. truly out of this world, i'll never forget how powerful they were. i came out of them feeling like a whole new person.

miles kane this year 🥹 i was obviously expecting to enjoy seeing him, but i was WILDLY unprepared for how absolutely incredible he is as a live performer. i still don't have the words for how amazing it was, i felt like i was riding the high of it for literal weeks afterwards. really hope he tours again in the not too distant future 🙏🙏
