God, sometimes I do not appreciate it ENOUGH how mature, pleasant and level-headed Soulsborne fandom is compared to others :/ Like, at times one of my friends from another fandom tells me extremely cringe stories about how "fans" make a character they hate "the only cishet in the setting" and homophobic/transphobic just to be petty. And today Val also shared how in a fandom he's been observing, the idiot crybabies shut down any and all queer headcanon for a certain villain because "he doesn't DESERVE to be queer uwu" :smh:

At least Soulsborne fandom doesn't fucking other queer people and doesn't conflate queerness with being morally good and cishet with morally evil. Like... we are the fandom where innocent lovely person like Adeline and absolutely irredeemable horrible villain like Micolash have equal chances of being headcanoned as gay and trans. Like imagine if our fandom was as cringe as other fandoms? Imagine if you could not say that Aldrich is hella gay for Sulyvahn without crybabies throwing a tantrum about how he can only be cishet just because he eats orphans or some dumb shit like that? Imagine if people that decided Gehrman being misogynist creep was canon additionally felt butthurt at bi/gay/GNC Gehrman headcanons? Imagine if people shut down any and all manifestations of Mohg x Varre ship because they felt entitled to """fix""" Fromsoft's writing over "perpetuating a homophobic stereotype" and claim fans that acknowledged canon were "as problematic as Fromsoft themselves if not more" for not cooperating?

Like... Look, I know I appear negative, bitter and never happy at times, but I just don't say this often enough - this fandom is so, so, so, SO much better than any other. Like, compared to the absolutely deranged shit other fandoms do, our petty fights over whose headcanon is hotter girl shit are so INSIGNIFICANT. If you ever feel like Soulsborne fandom is cringe, just check what controversy other fandoms have and trust me, you will appreciate what you have lmao

“AAHHH!!! Darling, you’re finally here! How was the drive? How was the driver?” Velvette watches as you walk through the doorway of her studio, looking around with big doe eyes at all the bright lights and flashy outfits and really beautiful model demons.

“Velvette!” Before you can say anything more, she’s pulling you into a a deadly tight hug. “It was actually…like way too much, babe. You don’t have to do all that fancy shit for me, ya know? But…yes, it was really nice. Thank you.” Velvette offers you a cheeky smirk followed by a quick kiss to the cheek.

Your darling girlfriend snaps her fingers and yells out a command to one of her assistants. “You! Come here.” She makes a ‘come here’ motion with her finger as she turns her attention back to you, her lips upturned into a smile again, “Are you thirsty? Hungry? Anything you need, you tell her.” She points to her assistant who is now right at your side. “Anything my darling asks for, you get it.” She gives the worker an intimidating glare before winking at you.

“Let me show you around!” Velvette puts an arm around your shoulders and pulls you along, pointing things out, explaining them. She is absolutely beaming with pride right now, glancing at you often to see your reaction. As you pass a mannequin clad in a really nice outfit, a gasp comes from Velvette. “Oh my! You know who would look absolutely stunning in this little number?” And now she’s flashing you this flirty grin and her bright red eyes are looking you up and down. Suddenly her smooth demeanor dropped as she grumbled under her breath a bit then sighed deeply.

“Oh, who am I kidding. With Vox and Val both here today, if I dress you in anything more appealing than what you’ve got on now, they will definitely try to steal you from me. You already look too cute…” This pulls a laugh from you but your laugh stops suddenly, stuck in your throat when you see how serious her expression is at the moment.

“Wait. What? What do you mean-“ And suddenly the doors swing open, slamming into the walls behind them as an extremely tall, blue-skinned individual with big red heart shaped glass quickly approaches Velvette, towering over both of you.

“WHERE THE HELL IS VOX?! I’ve been looking for that flat faced fuck all day.” He growls out and you take note of the fact that Velvette doesn’t flinch a bit. “Why the hell are you asking me? If he was here, you’d have found him already.” She snaps back and as the angry man before you was about to screech out another sentence, his expression softened rather quickly as his eyes fell on you.

“Why hello~ who do you have here? Wow! What a gorgeous creature you are. I’m Valentino. What’s your name, sweetheart?” One of his hands slips into yours and as he goes to lift your hand to his lips, Velvette pushes him so hard he nearly falls over.

“Their name is (Y/N), alright? And they are MINE. Now back off, Val.” She hisses in response, now tightly holding your hand, the hand that Val was holding just a second ago. “WHOO! Alright. My apologies, dear. Didn’t know this one was all yours. But I mean FUCK! They just have such nice lips! I mean, look at that mouth. You have the perfect pair of dick sucking li-“

Velvette shouts over him, “SHUT IT!!! You’re actually so vile. Get out of here, Valentino! You’re freaking out my babe.” She gives him another shove, making him frown angrily at her before he stomps off, probably punching a wall or kicking something over as he leaves. Oh, he definitely slams the door again too.

“Alrighty! Where were we?” Velvette seems to relax a bit more, going back to a more chipper and excited attitude as she again shows off all of her impressive work to you. She even got a few models to come do a little show just for you, all of them casually posing and showing off different outfits. Velvette kept asking your opinion, begging you to be ‘bloody honest’ with her.

“Oh, darling! You just have to come over one night and let me dress you up, just us two! Hmm~ I could dress you up and then maybe even…undress you again.” Just as your girlfriend started to flirt with you and as you started to feel more comfortable in this environment-

“Velvette! Happy Friday. Have you seen Val? I haven’t been able to reach him all day. I’m-“ The strong, electric voice that sounded from behind you two made you jump a bit and brought a frightening grimace to Velvette’s face.

“Oh~ Hello. (Y/N), right? Pleased to meet you! I was wondering when our precious like Velvette was gonna bring her play thing over. I’m Vox, creator of Voxtech. You know, on the late night talk show…and the morning talk show. I’m also the news anchor.” He doesn’t really offer you his hand, he more so just reached out and grasps your hand in his, giving it a rapid shaking.

His grip on your hand hurts a bit and the smug smirk on his face makes you somewhat intimidated by him. Vox just…gives you the creeps even more than Valentino did and he basically verbally assaulted you. Before you can even come up with a response to him-

“Yes, yes, yes. Everyone knoWS WHO YOU ARE, YOU PRICK. NOW WHAT DO YOU WANT?!” And now Velvette looks kind of scary, like so pissed off and annoyed that she looks like she could actually kill someone right now. The someone preferably being Vox. Her bright red eyes glow with rage and irritation, her pretty lips now turned into a deep scowl.

As she yells in his face, his expression drops to one of annoyance and exhaustion. “Where’s Val?” Velvette groans before responding. “You’ve got to be fuckin kidding me! He just left, looking for you. Look on your stupid little cameras and find him and go tell him to STOP SLAMMING MY DOORS OR IM GONNA-“

Not that Velvette scared you but…she looked pretty upset right now and her yelling is enough to put anyone into a slight panic. So you slip you hand around her bicep, gently pulling her tense arm back a bit so you could comfortably slide your hand down to hers, interlocking your fingers. Her words stopped in their tracks, your tender touch almost making her flinch. Her head whipped around and she looked at you for a good few seconds, a smile slowly growing on her lips. She turns back to the screen-faced man, her smile not faltering this time.

“Off you go.” Velvette quite literally shoos him away with a wave of her hand as her other hand snakes its way around your waist and back until her arm is fully wrapped around you and you’re pressed into her side. She turns her back on Vox, determined to keep her full attention on you for the rest of the day. You’re too distracted by her embrace to notice if Vox had even left or not.

You clear your throat. “Babe…?” “Yes, love?” “Don’t get mad.” You look at her with a serious expression, causing her to blink in confusion. “Mad at you? Never. What’s on your mind?” Velvette pulled away from you for just a second then she faced you and held both your hands in her own.

“I feel…extremely uncomfortable here. Specifically, with Valentino and Vox. I-I…I’m sorry I just…I don’t like them…very much…they scare me.” Velvette chuckles before you can finish your sentence and you’re not sure if you should be relieved or even more worried. Suddenly, she pulls you into a tight hug, her hands rubbing big circles all over your back.

“Ugh, I’m so terribly sorry, darling. Truly, I figured those two would be busy on a Saturday, too busy to be bothering us already.” She turns her head to kiss your cheek then pulls you in even closer. “Fuck! I’m actually so relieved you said that. Those two are so terrible…truly, irresponsible! I mean it when I say I’m the backbone of the Vs okay? Those two pussies would fall apart in a matter of hours without me! Ugh they can’t even keep it together for one day!” “Babe…” You try to calm her again, seeing how worked up she gets having to constantly deal with her work partners.

With her attention solely on you, she softly says, “I’m sorry, sweetheart. What do you want to do next, hm? We can go somewhere. Anywhere. Just say the words.” Her long fingers gently graze the skin of your cheek, causing you to become a bit flustered. It’s almost baffling how she can be so cold and cruel to everyone around her except you. You were her only weakness, and she doesn’t mind one bit. She loves you endlessly. She wouldn’t trade this feeling for anything in Hell.

another "the one who baby sits" doodle. the bishops all came into the cult with a very good repuation thanks to narinder. he likes to tell the kids of the cult stories about how amazing his siblings were. at first, it was just to nobre and brejul with stories about leshy(he missed leshy a lot even though he was still mad at him, and the two reminded narinder of his time with leshy), but then it escalated into him hosting storytimes with larger groups after they started repeating some of the stories he'd tell them.

unfinsihed stuff about with the lamb and thier mom. their mom wasn't afraid of the bishops at all, but knew that they were a still a threat to her and her child's life. the lamb did NOT care for anyone thier mom didn't approve of/enthusiastically liked. they were much more afraid of the bishops than their mother.

im still workong on BTG shit, and i post a little bit of the characters on here even tho the comics are going to be posted elsewhere. they have a "crownlike" beak, but a body part. there's different creatures who became gods through different ways; crowns are one way but their power is stuck with the crown and they are considered extremely weak compared to other gods. i wont blabber on about it tho.

I absolutely adore your ideas for turian culture. The shawls, the interesting word choices correlating with Roman/Latin words (like zuccha, amar, saccha). My absolute favorite thing though is the ties they have with the sky and stars. Garrus' curses (empty night, blackest night) especially are some of my favorite little elements in the universe you write for them. Where did you come up with these awesome ideas? I'm just so invested in the culture you created for my favorite space cats!

Hello Anon! Sorry this took so long to answer, I got absolutely giddy when I read it!

Well the whole Latin thing is taken both from canon (they're based on the Roman empire) and fanon. I know others have used Latin words and Roman culture to develop turian culture, and I liked it so I ran with it. A lot of the words I made up are bastardized latin words, lol. Saccha, mela, and zuccarum (zucca for short) are taken from the Latin words for sugar, honey, and ... sugar again, I think, lol. Crulum is taken from cookie. I kind of just look up the latin words for things and throw some letters around until I'm happy with the mouth feel of it. Other words I just plain make up, like lambas, which is a dish Val makes for the family. I want all turian words to sound like a rich, rolling, rumbly language as much as possible. For Avinelin, a Garrus/Nihlus one shot, I wanted the turian language Nihlus teaches Garrus to sound more like Spanish, because I think it's an incredibly sexy language. Basically, I want turians to sound hot I guess! I think a lot of people like to write turians as cold and ultra-militaristic, and go as far as to say they don't show physical affection easily (which is a valid take that I fully support!). But, I like to show the opposite of that -- that yes their culture is regimented and bureaucratic, but there's still warmth within them. Maybe expressing that warmth within them is even more important, considering their strict social guidelines.

I think that's also why I like to explore the importance of celestial themes with them as well. It shows that they once were religious, just like many species, and that shaped their language and how they cope with life. I know others play with curses being star based as well, so I didn't invent that, I just have fun playing with it. I will say that so far my favorite bit of star theme that I've come up with though, is Garrus seeing Jane's freckles as stars in a night sky, and that when he was a boy he'd look up at the night sky for comfort and solace. I don't get gushy over things I write often, but that moment in The Quarian where he makes that connection gets me! And I will absolutely be playing with that as Garrus and Jane reveal their feelings and explore their relationship in The Boy. One day he'll tell Jane that her freckles are like stars and she'll just melt 🥺 (I've already written the scene 😁)

OH, and the shawls...in the sequel to The Boy (working title is The Missing -- I hate my titles btw, but I feel stuck to the theme now, lol) There's going to be a murder based on the Jeffrey McDonald murders (a military doctor accused "hippies" of killing his family) and I wanted turians to have some sort of cultural appearance that xenophobic humans judged, but was based on something loving, so I thought maybe turians wear shawls while they marry, then i daydreamed about Jane wearing a shawl when her and Garrus get married, then when I was writing about a winter turian holiday (Anivia Vocan) I thought it would be cool if turians wear shawls for all important occasions. Boom, turians have special shawls. Okay, I feel like I've blabbered on enough. Bless anyone who read through this all. TLDR is that I have no plan and don't even keep track of the stuff I write. It all just bubbles up while I'm daydreaming about Jane and Garrus and I include what I remember.

Random detail about Hazbin Hotel: In the pilot when Vaggie is explaining Alastor to Angel Dust, Husk and Niffty are shown as silhouettes behind Alastor:

They're both shown in similar ways, with their eyes red and a glowing/blurred outline around their silhouettes similar to Alastor's. We also know that Husk is a former Overlord who lost his soul to Alastor in a bet, and since Niffty is shown in the same way as Husk, it's safe to assume she's also a former Overlord who somehow lost her soul to Alastor (given what we know about her, 3 guesses how Alastor got her soul lol).

During Mimzy's explanation of Alastor's past in Hell, she mentions that the only people going missing were Overlords; the only people whose screams were being broadcasted were Overlords'. In the same episode, Alastor's specific threat against Husk is "If you ever say that again, I will tear your soul apart and broadcast your screams for every other disrespectful wretch who dares to question me." In addition to all of this, we know Alastor has a weird moral code described as similar to Dexter's (my understanding of which is based on a brief overview of Dexter's Wikipedia page lol. Don't hate me if I get it wrong). It's also sorta implied that whatever contract Alastor has Husk under is relatively lenient, especially compared to Angel's contract with Valentino. Before Husk was brought to the hotel, he was playing poker, which tells me he can go wherever whenever, unless Alastor has him on a job (as is the case for the series, although if Husk is told to go somewhere else or given permission to by Vaggie or Charlie, he can, which feels a bit more lenient than the contract Val has Angel under).

So what am I trying to imply? I'm wondering if Alastor specifically and exclusively goes after Overlords who aren't great people (for example I can almost guarantee he'd go after Val if he could get away with it). Rosie is also an Overlord and treats people pretty well, so it makes sense to me that Alastor wouldn't attack her and is actually pretty close to her. He also doesn't seem to want Vaggie and Charlie's souls, which tells me he's less concerned with power (which is canon) and more concerned with controlling shitty people. Alastor going after Overlords (and other demons in general) that are shitty people fits with his moral code and also explains a lot about him (I think). Don't get me wrong, I still think he doesn't actually care about anything but his own entertainment, but that's the thing: he lives in Hell. He's probably been nabbing the souls of shitty demons behind the scenes since the start.

Maybe I'm wrong, idk. But genuinely I think Alastor's only gone after Overlords and sinners who do heinous shit to the souls they own. By way of whatever contract he's under? Maybe. But I genuinely think the reason Hell isn't worse in terms of absolute shitheads is because Alastor's there.

I think it's always important to remember that Varus is 3 people in one so sometimes his reactions can be a little weird depending on what the 2 guys inside of his head think lol

That being said, if you're a human, Kai would absolutely try to keep Varus the fuck away from you

If you make a flirtatios comment about his slim waist, and Varus opens his mouth to respond, Kai would fight so hard to rather make him shut up, or to say something mean in return to drive you away

It could be a little awkward in the beginning until Varus manages to get them in check, because it would look like he's uncomfortable with your comments

BUT as soon as he manages to make Kai shut the fuck up, oh that man is puffing up like a peacock

He knows his new body is in it's peak in all senses, strength, agility, and of course, beauty, and he was a man before so it's not like he doesn't remember his pride on superficial things such as looking good

Varus will hold back from saying things back to you, but once Kai is in check it will be SO obvious how much he thrieves in your words and is genuinely just playing hard to get

He particularly loves comments about his chest and waist, and they can be from suggestive to downright explicit he won't care (it'll actually get him even happier)

Travis: he probably doesn't lol he's absolutely the "can't beat 'em, join 'em" type so if he can't weasel his way out, he'll start talking about how much he admires them. He does have a silver tongue so I think he's got a 50/50 shot.

Travis: Necessary evil. As a 6th Streeter he has fondness for Militech, but that doesn't stop him from fucking with them or any other corps.

Val (sk): before Mitch, she hates them; later when she finds him sneaking episodes of Watson Whore, she grows to grudgingly like (some of) them, but she would never want to be in one.

Val (corpo): yes, they're her guilty pleasure and one of the things she and Mitch bond over during the hotel stay. She is embarrassed when he finds her watching Watson Whore, but gets over it quickly when he's excited to see there's a new episode. She probably wouldn't be in one.

Travis: he doesn't watch them regularly but he does enjoy them (trash likes trash, what can I say?). He would absolutely be on one, especially one of those dating shows.

Now this is a bit of a complicated one, since what Viper wears tends to reflect where she's at in her story. Most, if not all of her clothing follows a black and green colour scheme to go with the rest of her design.

Initially, when she was young, she'd wear a big cloak and hood over top of concealing leather armour. She did this to cover up who and what she was since she was frequently assaulted and insulted for the way she looked, since people hurt what they do not understand.

Slowly, over time, she began to wear less concealing clothing as she became more confident and not care about what the world thinks of her. She stuck to her usual leather adventurer's armour, usually built more for practicality. She's been an adventurer all her life, so her design will always reflect that "untamed side" in some way, shape, or form.

Once in a while, she likes to wear something more fancy for the heck of it lol. And sometimes force Maevynn to join her in that because she absolutely hates it.

Way later on, when she finally discovers she's tsaesci, she's reluctant to join her people or learn about them in any way. She's also half imperial and Tamriel is all she knows. She considers them her people too, despite them mistreating her and continuing to do so. She never goes back to Akavir/Tsaesci to join her people, choosing to stay with her friends instead, but she starts learning tsaesci swordsmanship and some of their combat tactics. So, she adopts medium-heavy armour and some two-handed. She starts wearing armour of a more Akaviri/Tsaesci design. Still very rugged and thrown together, though, and in her black/green colour scheme.

Maevynn:

Phew boy, absolutely. She's a pirate, she's a HARD drinker, and can tolerate a surprising amount considering her... small breton size (sorry girl). She usually drinks beer, mead on occasion, sometimes wine, but her favourite is Stros M'kai rum.

She started out by drinking from noon late into the night lol, she thought that drinking "immersed" her in the pirate experience and made her look like a better captain, as she's desperately trying to make it look like she's always been a pirate. At the same time, her unhealthy amount of drinking is also her burying her problems and years worth of issues that have gone unaddressed.

She's a very interesting drunk, as it could go two different ways. You can NEVER get her drunk enough to spill her secrets, she just doesn't do that, and the first and last person to try weaselling secrets out of her by getting her drunk got uhm... disposed of. She either becomes a super fun drunk who's just gonna be crazy all night, or will become angry and violent, it depends on her mood.

It was only after she got involved with Val that she was introduced to starting her day by drinking coffee like a normal person rather than chugging something alcoholic. He was also a pirate and did get into hard liquor himself, but I doubt he drank just AS MUCH as Maevynn did, and honestly hated seeing how her habits were destroying her, so he helped her cut it back, which she was actually very grateful for.

Safe to say though, if she does get drunk, you are likely to find her the next morning sleeping on the crow's nest, in a barrel... slumped over a horse...

Were you a general f1 fan before you became part of teamlh or have you always been just teamlh and don’t really care for f1?

I have been a Lewis fan as long as Lewis has been an F1 driver- not to dox myself but Lewis grew up not far from where I did, he’s a local hero and I was cheering for him as a Brit before I knew much about the sport past the glances I’d caught when my dad watched it.

But I would absolutely consider myself as a fan of f1 in its entirety- as inspired by Lewis. Yes he’s my co-favourite driver, and I want him to win again more desperately than anyone else on the grid (Yes I want George to win again but gun to my head if I had to choose between them- George got Brazil ‘23, I need another Lewis win now. Especially if he gets it before Alonso- it’ll give Fernando a hernia- okay tangent over), But thanks to him I’ve really found a sport I adore. I follow the junior series, the electric series, Lewis isn’t the ONLY driver I love anymore, but he’s the root of it all.

I mean his kneeling and embrace of pride is why I got into F1 in early 2020. Rainbows attract gays- I wasn’t used to seeing sports people who stood up for stuff I believed in. I always felt like I didn’t have anyone to support who would actually want me there as a trans fan. Lewis gave me a place to feel wanted. I don’t know if I really feel like I fit in with TeamLH as a collective, I’ve been told often enough I don’t belong- but short of a nuclear level event I’ll always love Lewis in a unique way compared to any other driver. He gave me a home, in a way, and his impact will be tattoo’d in the core of my adoration of motorsport.

Tell me one of the reasons he brings you joy. Like what can he do that brings the biggest smile on your face?

I mean I kinda word vomited about it above, but to expand- I get a little choked up whenever he shares anything with the Trans flag on it. Unfortunately, thanks to shit like the LGB alliance, supporting rainbows is no longer completely synonymous with supporting trans people- and the individual act of clarifying that he cares- it just takes a weight off my spine sometimes. I love how much he loves his sport, how racing is as much a part of his body as his bones and blood- that kind of care and honest Love? It lights up my world. I also grin like an idiot when he teases Val, Bono and George. Lewis acts very cool but he loves so loudly. Also sue me- I love his dog. I don’t need to hate a dog to feel unique- Roscoe is a cool fuckin dog.

Ohhh its a tie between George and Lewis play Ping Pong AND Lewis and Val race Toto- How could they not be, that shit is infectiously joyful.

Favourite race for one moment - Silverstone 2020

Lewis’ win on three wheels is my spark race. Y’know, the one where you go from being interested and enjoying it- to knowing you’re going to be a fan for a long time. The one where you go from casual to obsessive. I remember staring at the tv holding my breath as Val’s tyre crumbled, shouting oh fuck! When Lewis’ tyre split, chanting go go go go come on you’re so close- with my dad when he kept going, listening to Bono narrating the gap with an almost trembling voice- and then leaping to our feet and cheering in a way I’ve never done for a sport when he crossed the line, Max scrambling around the last turns in the background-

That was my first home race too- seeing your favourite driver win his home race, your home race, on three fucking wheels- there’s magic in that I’m not sure I’ll feel again but ill remain a fan chasing it until I do. Even the boring races are worth it when you know that sometimes miracles can come to life.

Favourite race as a whole - Brazil 2021

Yeah its cliche I know, but Brazil is famous for so much more than what Lewis achieved that day alone- it was what we knew we needed to get before going into the weekend- Lewis had to win every single race before AD to have a chance, and it had been so long since we had a win- I was almost resigned to a loss. Then came the disqualification and how bullshit it was- it seemed like it would be impossible, there was no way we could catch up- and then Lewis defied it all- all the cheating and the bullshit stewarding calls. It was the beginning of believing we could do it- that we could come back. And the fuckin INSANE race craft are you kidding me-

That race will always be historic.
