How did your DU drow react when he got told he had to kill his spouse? and then when he went to wake up Astarion and get tied up? I think I just wanna know how your DU drow mentally/emotionally is doing during and after that part, and when talking to Astarion afterward, I'm a sucker for hearing about those deep kinds of moments (hopefully that makes sense?) Also, how did your DU react when you met Kressa Bonedaughter and learned all about what was done to him (again, I know none of the companions really comment on literally something horrible being told such a shame, honestly) but how would you say or think that Astarion and Shadowheart might have reacted hearing that info? Again, thank you for all your art and for answering these questions! PS: (I really don't care if your answer is super long; I WILL EAT IT UP)

Sooo for the first question, I wanna preface by saying that I personally don't think their relationship was that in depth yet, at that point. Yes, DU drow enjoyed Astarion's company and relied on him in a similar way which he relied on Shadowheart. And also yes, Astarion saw DU drow as the first person who ever took him and his agency seriously - but I think feelings were still in their infancy. DU drow's mind was a mess through and through; he drank constantly to keep his urge at bay, he kept his distance from everyone most of the time, and when he did seek out comfort in either Shadowheart or Astarion (the non-sexual kind, they didn't really fuck at all), it was a kind of primal instinct and desperate longing for companionship - if you asked him if he was in love with anyone, however, he would have said no.

Similarly, while I think Astarion's act 2 confession is sincere, I also think that he's being sincere when he says that he doesn't know what you are yet. You're not really a lover, but you aren't a victim, either; what you are is a person who he would rather not have to murder eventually, and as someone who has had their empathy squeezed out throughout the course of two centuries, that's meaningful enough. He may fantasize about the best case scenario for you two - but he has no expectations that whatever this is will last. But it is nice, for the time being.

So the "murder your darling" scene, rather than a proof of love and trust, is to me the turning point where:

A) DU drow has to come to terms with the fact that he doesn't have as much control over the Urge as he thought, and B) When Astarion snaps out of his care-free, just-go-with-the-flow nature around his plan and this relationship. They both realize they bit off more than they could chew and are now caught in each other's crossfire.

Which is to say that I don't read Astarion's words of comfort to him as entirely honest - specially when you compare it to certain dialogue deliveries later in the game. I think he's still, to a degree, telling you what you need to hear so that you hold out for just a bit longer and kill Cazador. You probably can't be together forever as he idly fantasized about once or twice, when he let his mind wander - but god damn it, he needs to at least be free, and it seems like you have bloodlust to spare to make that happen.

Meanwhile, DU drow finally comes to confront the fact that he is not in control. Doesn't matter how hard he tries or how much he drinks, the urge will do to him as it will, and when it wishes. It stops being fun and it gets scary, from that moment on.

But here's who did stop it: Astarion. Where alcohol fell short and his willpower failed, Astarion stepped in.

So, more interesting than the scene itself to me, is how from that point on DU drow would have no choice but put his trust entirely on the vampire to control him. He ties him up, he keeps an eye on him, he has full spoken-word permission to kill him if necessary - he is forced to be as vulnerable at humanly possible under his hand, every night. Regardless of whether or not DU drow realizes that Astarion is doing it for his own reasons, he doesnt care, because Astarion has now become his rock and his bondage - hell, if Astarion does have a reason to keep him alive that's all the better; someone else might just slit DU drow's throat and be done with the concern altogether.

And so, it's only from that point on that DU drow truly starts to see Astarion as an equal, and even a partner. He's thinking that, if his whole life has to be like this, at least he has someone who can handle it.

Astarion, meanwhile, I believe only comes to truly consider (and wish for) DU drow's freedom after he's free from Cazador - and after he bestows that freedom upon his siblings and the other spawn. That's when he finally understands the length of DU drow's devotion to him and the value of freewill as a concept- and how he wants it for both of them, instead of being content with his own.

Not to mention... I think in Astarion's mind he was 100% not going to survive Cazador LOL so when he succeeds he's like "oh shit I guess anything is fucking possible huh. Yeah fuck it lets go fight your dad, also I've decided I want you for realsies, now."

Anyways, can you believe I thought this was gonna be a short ask. Here have a doodle I made while thinking about all this bullshit:

As for Kressa, I got an ask about that before but I can't find it now LOL to summarize; he was pissed, angered, and in a far more personal level embarrassed to have had his dirty laundry aired (AKA, victimized) in that way in front of the others - but this isn't something he would have expressed outwardly, and I think both Shadowheart and Astarion would have known better than to inquire him about it. It's not really something he would have sought out comfort for in anyone, so, I think the subject died as soon as Kressa did. In this case, their lack of commentary was completely appropriate - If they had reached out in any way (which would have been, in my opinion, completely out of character) DU drow would have shut them out with a quickness.

"Remind me why you're suddenly so Intent on bring my to a bar. What are you planning?" Lucifer was rightfully suspicious Alastor hadn't always held his word when it came to Lucifer.

"I just want you to have a good time" Alastor continued to beg.

Lucifer rolled his eye and giving in not wanting to listen to Alastor's bitching for one more second. "Fine I'll go but if you try pulling anything I swear to god-"

"I won't" Alastor said certain of himself.

He's certainty sent a chill down Lucifer's spin but tried to brush it off. "Now let's go."

Now that Lucifer thought about it he didn't know where Alastor was driving him it could literally be to anywhere!.

"Hey Al" Lucifer said nervous but he didn't know why.

"Relax he's not that bad he runs the bar with his boyfriend Antonio" Alastor reassured Lucifer it wasn't just run by a fool falling for his deals.

"Oh by the way what's the name of the bar?" Lucifer asked.

"Angel shot" Alastor answered.

"Angel shot? That's a stupid name. Sounds cringe" Lucifer said crossing his arms.

Lucifer walked into the door after Alastor had let go of the door a little to early hitting him in the face. This pissed Lucifer off but his anger faded seeing Alastor talk to the bar tender.

Thought Husk looked slightly irritated by Alastor's presents.

"Is that Alastor I hear!" Said a boy immerging from the back.

He was tall and thin. With a very feminine appearance. It was a little strange but Lucifer decided not to comment on it.

"What brings you here?" The boy asked walking up to Lucifer towering over him. "And who's this adorable little guy you brought with ya?" He leaned down booping Lucifer on the nose.

"His name's Lucifer" Alastor said sitting down.

The boy kept staring at Lucifer as if he was a child.

"Found another fool for a deal?" Husk asked.

"Mhm" Alastor replied taking a sip of the wine Husk had passed him a little while ago.

Around 11:00 am they unfortunately had to leave because Alastor got completely wasted really fucking fast. Alastor changed and tucked Lucifer into his duck duvet.

"Alastor?" Lucifer asked.

"Yes?" Alastor responded.

"Come closer" Lucifer says.

Alastor approached the bed and to his surprise Lucifer's hands cupped his face and felt Lucifer's lips pressed against his own. After a few seconds Lucifer just let go and fell asleep.

of course he isnt 100% innocent but i see now so much of the situation was things taken horribly out of context or framed in a way to make the autistic guy look creepy and evil.

learning emile and masae were dating cleared up SOOO much of the situation. to me i never felt like masae accused emile of anything? it just seemed like... she was clarifying they werent friends. and. yeah. they broke up. thats why neither wanted to talk about it.

the lady emily part is still so full of cut context and lies im not even gonna touch it. and the lawly part was literally just.... lawly continues to make uncomfortable advances on emile and he wanted a friend but decides to cut it off because he is uncomfortable and doesn't want this. and the fact people actually called emile guilty becahse the accusers framed it with a bad headline when in all reality chuggaaconroy was the one being harassed.

i think what also sticks out to me is how chugga says he still loves his friends and thanks his fans and asks to please never send hate to the accusers and that they did what they felt they had too. he just wanted to make fun nintendo game videos with his friends, and the world treated him like this over some long ago out of context past. and despite all of that he still forgave everyone. heck looking at his statements about his time in hospitals, i feel like the one who hated and despised chuggaaconroy the most was himself. the fact he went to therapy and spent so much time in a hospital to work on himself and try to change things literally just wired into his brain from being autistic. he's gone through so much and i feel so sorry for him and his family for all they had to endure. i will pray for them all i can!

i stopped watching chugga but i think im going to start again. its clear as day to me he really is the wonderful guy everyone once thought he was, just thrown into a really bad twitter-y situation. i feel awful i ever thought of unsubscribing to him, i always procrastinated because i couldnt take it emotionally. but now? im gonna keep staying subscribed!

I think Yura's relationship with her first boyfriend was veeery different from her relationship with Satoru, mostly because, well, she and Satoru were best friends before they got together (whenever you consider that to have officially happened lmao), while she and Koji were going on more traditional get-to-know-you dates as the starting point of their relationship. Basically, the SatoYura relationship had the advantage of years of history between them, so once they finally started actually being romantic with each other, they skipped the initial awkward bits of a relationship and went straight to being basically married lmao

That's not to say that Yura wasn't happy with Koji, because she was; Koji came in at a time when she needed someone to be there for her, after Geto's defection and Gojo essentially abandoning them for a while. And they had fun with each other, but they were also teenagers still figuring stuff out (as opposed to SatoYura getting together as adults), so their relationship eventually just fizzled out as life got in the way. Plus the fact that they were basically long-distance, which meant not spending as much time with each other as a normal couple would. So I don't think Yura ever truly fell in love with Koji, but she was infatuated with him, as teenagers do, during the duration of their relationship.

(There is something to be said about how Yura only ever got a boyfriend once Gojo disappeared off her life, and after he came back, her relationship with her boyfriend eventually fizzled out lmao. Gojo is a very needy person who is always demanding Yura's attention, poor Koji couldn't even begin to compete lol)

So Yura's only ever long-term relationship was one that was started with someone who was basically a stranger at the beginning, and who she got to know (and got close to) as they went on dates. Which is a wildly different beast compared to her and Satoru, who had known each other for literal years, who she shared an--ahem--extremely close bond with, who she had been essentially co-parenting two kids with and who had become such an integral part of her life that she couldn't see a future without him in it. The two had already reached a level of closeness that even established couples struggle to achieve, so by the time that they started actually getting physical and then romantic... not much actually changed between them lol.

To Yura, even if they were sleeping together, they weren't going on "dates"--they were just her and Satoru going out for dinner as usual, of course. When they spent time together it wasn't in a bf-gf kind of way--they were just doing what they'd always done, of course. The non-platonic intimacy that they were sharing was just an evolution of their friendship, born from their mutual attraction to each other--friends with benefits, of course. It was hard for her mind to wrap itself around the idea that her + Satoru = dating, considering her one dating experience had started out way differently. Plus the fact that girlie was in denial for sooo long--she didn't want to think of them as a relationship, because she was too afraid that the friendship they had would be ruined somehow, and that she would lose him if that happened. It was just safer to keep thinking about Satoru as her best friend... who she slept with, basically lived with, had two kids with...

tl;dr Yura was happy with Koji at the time, but it turned out to not be too serious, and they eventually grew apart. Then her relationship with Satoru was developed after yeaaaaars of deep friendship (unlike what happened between her and Koji), and her brain (+denial) just considered the romantic evolution of their dynamic to be the natural progression of their friendship, so she just went "no, we're not dating of course" and all that.

dude, calculating the square footage of the general living area, because it was two rectangles put together, truly brought me back to high school geometry. i have not been in an "I Lowkey Enjoy Math!" era since before covid but this was actually fun. Thanks!!

I should add that they are on the 6th floor. and there is no elevator. this is evil, i hope you understand what it's like going up that many flights. (this doesn't sound like proper grammar?? am i dumb).

the building is like entirely exposed brick, high ceilings, old, wide-cut hardwood floors, and huge old windows that predate the 1920s and have to be propped up, and are horribly drafty in the winter. The seams of the floorboards don't really line up because the rooms have changed a lot since the building was originally constructed, which means the interior walls are also different than the exterior brick, and are mostly plaster with wallpaper. A lot of the plumbing is exposed because it was added later. electrical is way outdated and not the safest, but hey. they're sooo blessed to be on a corner of the building so they get more windows than average! Troup and Alex moved here after rooming together in a dorm for two years because at the time it was fairly cheap, utilities all included, but rent keeps rising so dramatically that, on a peaceful night, especially during the winter, if you listen very closely, you can actually hear Mark Cohen and Roger Davis growling about it. . they are in the walls

i adore your story: the blacks&the greens!! i started reading it about two years ago while looking forbdaemyra fics because they are my favourite targaryens ever..... and after i read your story, every other fanfic in the asoiaf universe was ruined for me that is how much i loved it!!! i reread it so many times you could wake me up in the middle of the night and ask me all sorts of questions and i would be able to answer them 😅 your vivid desciptions, character portayals and the way you enriched the asoiaf universe never ceases to amaze me!!! my favourite characters are, of course, the rogue prince and the realms delight, because of course they are, right behind them are their babes and then the velaryons!! i am literally in love with the story you have created and at this point, if im being honest, i can't even really bring myself to read the canon books because seeing baela and rhaena as laena's daughters is sooo queer to me... as well as a number of other things... the changes that you made and the way you write make the story even more captivating than it is in canon, to the point where i see the blacks&the greens as my personal canon 😄 some of my favourite things you wrote (i love all of it obv but these things come to my mind immediately when i think of your story): viserys 'i worry about rhaenyra' targaryen (it never fails to make me laugh how he comes to alicent and otto and they're expecting him to talk to them about the succesion and then hes like 'my baby rhaenyra... i am so worried about her...' and they're like 🫠), then daemon at kings landing is always a delight, particularly the scene at aegon's and heleana's wedding comes to mind, when he's giving aegon the talk, but again daemon always finds ways to amuse himself, so all of his chapters are gold!!! then viserys' and aegon's first flights are very emotional for me because daemyra's boys taking their dragons to the skies 🥹, alyn running from baela and just the times the whole family spent at dragonstone are beautiful as well!! the newest chapter, baela's pov, currently takes the crown of being my favourite chapter ever... baela is very much her father's daughter... again, i love your story and your writing, and thank you so so much for creating this masterpiece!! sorry for the long rambling... i hope you are feeling well! and happy new year to my favourite fanfic writer ❤️
