#2 for the ask game?
~ @tabswrites
Thank you so much for creating this tag game! You came up with some really cool questions, and this one is actually one of my favorites!!
2. 🛏️ BED: What do your OCs dream about?
I'm not sure if this was meant to be taken literally or figuratively, but I decided to go with the former because I think those answers are much more compelling :)
SOPHIA – She rarely dreams, but when she does, it's not a good time. Her near-death experience as a Guardian triggered the beginning of recurring PTSD nightmares of the incident. Four years later, her mental state has improved and the dreams are less frequent, but not completely gone. In fact, they get worse during the events of the story (and with everything she goes through from the first chapter on, it's no wonder).
Occasionally, she'll have more mundane dreams of being a child again, which is much more pleasant. Running through the woods, climbing onto the roof through her bedroom window, talking to and getting to see her father again. Though she always wakes up feeling bittersweet when she realizes that it wasn't real.
JANUS– He has frequent, repeated dreams about his past—or at least, he thinks that's what they are. Janus' memory of his childhood is pretty hazy until his late teens, and even then there's a lot of gaps and missing bits of information, all for reasons he's unable to explain. But there's something uncanny about his dreams; he doesn't remember living through these experiences, and as far as he's concerned, they never really happened. Yet they're so vivid, so disturbingly familiar, that it's impossible to tell which ones could have been real. It bothers him so much that sleep in general has become incredibly difficult, so he doesn't tend to prioritize it. Of course, this results in him developing insomnia and a wildly inconsistent sleep schedule.
HARLEY – Harley spends a lot of time dreaming about her future—what she wants to be and who she becomes. Whether it's a positive or negative outcome, they tend to be fairly realistic, to the point that she doesn't necessarily realize she's dreaming. She'll wake up wondering if what happened was real, and then kick herself for not picking up on the inconsistencies of the dream. She hates the feeling of missing something important, which could be part of why she's so inquisitive and analytical (though not necessarily perceptive).
JADE – She keeps a journal so she can write down what she remembers from her dream the night before. Usually the thoughts are fragmented and make no sense, but she's fascinated by the abstract concepts and fluid nature of them, how they might connect or what they mean. More than once, she's turned to past dreams as subjects or inspirations for her art—then, she gets to decide what it truly means.
MAX – Max's dreams can be so trippy and off-the-wall—borderline nightmares, except they're entirely unbelievable. It's the feeling when you wake up and your first coherent thought is, "what the fuck was that?" He's also the type of person who will stroll into a room and drop the subject on a group of friends because he had the weirdest dream last night and you're not gonna believe it.

Hello there! I've been a fan of your work for a while now and let me just say, your original works and characters have me absolutely captivated! (Your yandere outlaw is one of my top favorite fictional characters! And your yandere cult leader is rapidly rising in the ranks 👀) You put so much detail into all your writing and you really delve deep into the psychology and personality of every one of them so beautifully, not to mention how diverse they all are from one another. Each and every one has such dimension and they're so believable in their actions and reactions! (And can I just say I think it's very clever that your yandere!Milf/Dilf's names start with the acronym's initial)
And your MCs are also quite vibrant and while they remain easily relatable they still have distinct traits that the characters get attached to. Thank you for making and sharing these amazing stories and characters with us, it really makes my day whenever I see you've posted something new.
Now, I know this ask is getting pretty lengthy (sorry about that ^^" I tend to ramble) but I was going through your Yan!Dilf works again and I wanted to ask, how would Dominic react if his darling was someone who's maybe dealt with manipulative people in the past or is highly emotionally intelligent and observant who could tell he wasn't being entirely genuine? But instead of pulling away from him they try to understand what he wants from them and was open about it? Would he ever even become obsessed with someone like that or allow that kind of situation to happen or is he too cautious for it to be possible?
I know you've had a lot of asks so please don't feel obligated to answer this! But in any case thank you again for sharing your works and I hope you have a wonderful wonderful day! 💖💫
My Lovely, you have positively touched my soul with your endearing sentiments ! Truly, you have made my day and I cannot thank you enough for being such a loyal enthusiast of my work, your time is valued more than I can ever hope to express <3.
Your question is an incredibly fascinating one, my Dear; thank you for sharing it with us ! I wish you the happiest and most prosperous of days, Sweetie ^^
TW: Manipulation, Dominic Being Dominic, Vulnerability, No Pronouns Used For Reader Except 'You'.
♡ Dominic is, as you suggested, initially extremely cautious around you. However, he knows he can't just drop you like a sack of potatoes; it would be far too obvious to the people around him, which would surely cause others to find him out as the serpent he is if they ever went digging around his character.
♡ But, when you show him, gradually, like a keeper feeding a feral animal, that your endeavour is not to oust him as an un-human but rather to understand what made him like this in the first place (and all the lace and frills that come with such a monumental task), he regards you...differently than he did before.
♡ Sure, he thought you were very attractive and that you could offer him something other than the resplendence his life is steeped in, but now...
♡ He feels exposed. Seen. Vulnerable.
♡ All things he tries to push back against. Things he tries to bury beneath a grandiose tale of a childhood spent in the most accommodating of educational establishments, lavish mansions and the lap of luxury.
♡ He tries to lead you a merry dance down a version of his life that he wants you to see, rebuttaling your attempts at making him crack.
♡ You tell him you can see past that. He, feeling his eye twitch, believes you.
♡ It will take a long, long time to get Dominic even close to admitting a scintilla of how his psyche works. Or, rather, doesn't work.
♡ And it's only if you manage to grind away at his need to hide his most precious secret - the parasite that wears his skin and controls his mind - that he'll open up.
♡ Fractionally. Piecemeal. But he opens up, nonetheless.
♡ He'll grow to love you in ways unfathomable even to him.
♡ If you thought he was bad without having a background in combatting the manipulation of others, he is insidious now.
♡ You become to him what he could never be for himself; a safe haven. The only person from which he does not hide.
♡ Sure, he keeps the more...dangerous aspects of his personality hidden for a lot longer than others, but you can topple these columns, can shake Dominic from his perch forged from the ivory of a devil's horns.
♡ You can tame him in ways unimaginable. You have only to see him for who - what - he truly is.
Reblog for more content like this! It helps creators like myself tremendously and it is greatly appreciated :-)

Hello. Regarding Hellraiser III, I seem to recall you making a comment about how you believed Elliott and Unbound!Pinhead to be physical manifestations of Freud's model of the psyche - super-ego and id respectively. I am in total agreement with you there, and I have believed this same thing for a long time now. This would also make normal 'Bound' Pinhead that we meet in the first two films, and the films following Bloodline, to be the actual Ego itself. I think this makes the third film, and the characterisations so much more interesting, rather than doing what the early 90s HR comics did, which was to have Pinhead be an Aztec 'demon' who possesses Elliott, making them separate people altogether. That's boring and predictable, and just goes against everything that the movies established in the earlier films for Pinhead. By having Unbound and Elliott be one and the same, just different aspects of the same man, which is basically what HR is about - our deepest, darkest desires explored and enhanced, it builds on the HR mythology. This is why I've always loved HR3, and why I don't think it's a bad film, and why I just adore Unbound as a character. This is Pinhead off the leash. I still believe that Unbound would still be very fond of Kirsty, and still would be driven to protect her in some way. Even without his human side. But for the most part, he would be super eager to have her join him. Though he'd treat her much differently than he did the club patrons. I don't think the love/lust for Kirsty comes from just his human side. It comes from all of him.
Anyway, I thought I'd share my thoughts on the matter with you. I found this online regarding id, ego, super-ego, and it reminded me of the boys even more so. Maybe you could draw something out of this? It's an idea. I love your art. Keep up the good work! :)
Tumblr media
Your analysis of Unbound and Elliot is exactly what I was thinking. It almost makes me cry. I’ve always found it hard to dislike HR3 for this reason. After watching the HR1 and HR2, I felt that human desires and darkness are what truly terrify us. So when I discovered that HR3 split the Hell Priest into two characters, I was super excited.
The human version of Elliot is relatively mature; after all, he carries the memories and burdens from his time as a human, as well as the PTSD of being a survivor of World War I. He is also someone who adheres strictly to rules. I guess this leadership quality and personality is what attracted Leviathan to him, eventually leading him to become the priest managing hell. In the moment of their separation, the repressed desires, dark sides, and nature of the human were individually extracted, like a newly born child without constraints. They both possess things that the other lacks. I’m really looking forward to their journey of hatred and self-destruction gradually turning into understanding, culminating in a new interpretation of a single person. It’s amazing! But unfortunately, HR3 didn’t delve into their complex psychological relationship in detail. This regret has made me want to doodle their story.
I was shocked to learn that the comic had mentioned the demon's setting before; I had no idea about that. Thank you for sharing! Like you, I’m more inclined towards the idea of the id and superego!
I agree that Elliot and Unbound have an obsession with Kirsty and surely hope that she would join their ranks as a Cenobite.
But to me,I tend to see their relationship as a complex ambiguity; I imagine it as a sense of distance rather than a romantic interaction. Their conflicts would actually bring them closer together.
For Kirsty, the Hell Priest undoubtedly intervened in her life and indirectly destroyed her family. Even if it started because of someone else’s involvement, he still cast a huge shadow over Kirsty. In their contract relationship, the Hell Priest has let her go multiple times, and Elliot himself has said that Kirsty is his friend. Therefore, I believe they share a relationship that is both contradictory and beautiful!
The existence of their relationship is so enchanting, which is probably why so many people like it!
And thank you for the pictures you provided. I love your thoughts every time you share them; they truly inspire me!🥰❤️ ❤️

hi pasta :) hope your week is going well so far !!
i dunno if you’ve spoken about this or been asked before (i apologise if you have) but i was just wondering how you always get matt’s characterisation so spot on?? if i didn’t know any better, i’d have thought you wrote the show. i can literally always picture him doing/saying the stuff you write <333
😭😭😭 This is like, an AMAZING compliment oh my god, thank you so much!
Tumblr media
As for the question I'm not sure if I've talked about it before but ironically seeing it in my ask box triggered a discussion with sis. Like, I know there are folks who have a different take on Matt than mine. That's valid! So I don't want to be like... 'I did the research and delved and etc etc' because they do too. But eventually me and sis arrived at a conclusion that it's a few combos of things that makes Matt easy for me to click with:
A lot of psych classes in college that ironically I've used more for writing than anything else. This helped me understand some of how Matt's background of abandonment and trauma would potentially affect him and influence his coping techniques and behavior. I like learning psych stuff in general so that all wound up being an influence. I'll always recommend digging into this when working with characters!
I've watched Daredevil over and over and over and over and the more I've rewatched, the more I wind up picking up on new things and analyzing what Matt is thinking or feeling (bless Charlie for giving Matt so many little hints and fidgets and subtle touches of what Matt's internally feeling). This includes interviews, behind the scenes stuff, anything breaking down the why of Matt. I'm familiar with him at this point.
There are certain parts of Matt's character that I relate to incredibly strongly as a disabled person with chronic pain raised in the church, and also as someone who went through a long lonely period of depression where I felt very isolated, and then was afraid when I did finally make friends that they'd leave me. So. There's always an element with Matt that's like, 'ah I get it', this sense of resonation. I feel like that natural click with Matt really helped me when writing him, cause... been there, get the motivation, also dude needs to cry more and let that stress out, trust me.
This sounds weird but me and my sis love to break characters down, rip them apart to examine their insides. We love our favorite characters and talking about all their wholesome or badass elements, but we also gd love and have fun dissecting flaws, fuckups, the shadow self, character trauma, are they the asshole, is EVERYONE the asshole, what does this mean when he did this or that. The whole Pasta clan is immersed in that - Dad was a theatre major so got a lot of practice, Mom's loved lit forever, and we all have this tendency, so I got very comfortable very early with taking characters apart in a really honest way to figure out how and why they tick and what the writer/actor is trying to tell you. And since we've all seen Daredevil, and dad has also read a lot of the earlier comics, we've all more than once metaphorically laid Matt out on the table like a frog and dissected his character. I feel like having someone who's not only willing to talk about these layers with you, but also comfortable enough with you to kinda push back and go 'Or what if he was doing it because of this' or 'Ok yeah you love him but he was actually being the asshole here because *valid reason*' is important. Get you some allies who love to know why characters tick!
So basically lots of reading, really enjoying picking characters apart with fam, and familiarity, all mixed up in a bucket of 'Ooooh poor thing, I've been there and that was not fun. You really need therapy and maybe some antidepressants.'

Please recommend Aventurines and Acherons for me to follow! I came back to the fandom and finally finished 2.1/2.2 and now I love them.
hi anon ! thank you for giving me a chance to gush about some of the best aventurine and acheron writers out there. see them below !
aventurines
@blindbet : i cannot express how much i love ( and hate ) dak's aven. the hcs he has spun and the way he writes aven is so delicious that i am so lucky ( and cursed ) to be able to write with his menace. not to mention his dialogue sounds like it's literally ripped out from hoyo's script. from one - liners to multiparas , dak never fails to let his peacock fan his feathers. i cannot imagine my hsr journey without him in it uwu
@luckquartzed : luna is incredible. the amount of thought and time she puts into her aventurine is . . . insane. she has shared so much research with me and literally is so invested into this blonde golden goose and you can see it in every response. the way luna manages to write him with an assortment of other characters honestly amazes me because it's something i struggle with. it's something i admire greatly.
@defiedlife : jenna loml. she might have been one of the first aventurine's i wrote with and he has such a special place in my heart. she writes him as the little minx he is ( saff's words ) but goes into so much more depth. her writing is so rich and refreshing and the way she delves into his psyche has me in awe.
@kushtibokt : naans is known for writing little shits and aventurine is no exception. thankfully he's not ginger. their aventurine is so cocky and true to his character. not only do you get a good giggle out of naans' portrayal but on the other hand , there is exceptional insight into the darker traits of his character which i think is truly admirable. they also write amazing hcs and pick out details that people often overlook ( myself included ).
@apocryphis : ventium is just a must follow in general. i haven't written with her aventurine ( guilty as charged ) as much as i should but you only need to read some responses to understand how much care and love she invests into the gambling trickster. not to mention her character studies are so informative and you can tell each aspect has been critically analysed which just adds to the amount of passion she puts into her muses.
@starspurn : kit my beloved. she's on hiatus rn but she writes a spectacular aventurine. i miss him and kit a lot actually. he will prod and poke your muses and rile them up until he's grinning like the cat that got the cream but it is exhilarating.
honourable mentions : @aventvrina , @highrolls , @spadilled , @raytm ( even if all you write is gepard ) , @stagehunt ( i know we have never written vos but i've seen your writing and it is chef's kiss ) , @ephemyrals ( bring him back from the war mona )
acherons
@amourem : saff is just an incredible writer overall. this is her multi cause she deleted her acheron ( boo ! ) but i'm sure if asked she will pull her out of the abyss.
@finalism : please please please follow ori. i have not written with her acheron yet but i've glimpsed some of it and the dialogue and description and mystery is so . . . on point. ori in general writes brilliantly from her blade to her ratio to her acheron and of course her dazai.

Hi Eleanor! Do you have any bridgerton fic recommendations? Love your writing!!
Hello Nonny!
I'm so pleased you enjoy my stories, that is sweet of you to say! Thank you! 💙 As for fic recommendations, build your blanket fort, get a beverage and prepare to never emerge because boy do I ever have some for you...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Do you want to feel like an artist is painting a mural across your heart, swirling colors of intense emotion from lust to anguish to redemption to joy, all of it blending perfectly into a sensation of bone-deep satisfaction? Then you need to check out the works of my dear friend @thebabblingbrookenook Masterlist here.
Brooke has crafted some of the most unique and heartfelt Benedict and Anthony stories out there, mostly modern AU and x Reader, delving deep into character psyches in a variety of breathtaking scenarios. I don't know if I can pick favorites, but don't miss:
If The World Was Ending - an apocalyptic Benedict love story
His First Muse - the most beautiful examination of Violet and Benedict's relationship you'll ever read
Wide Open Spaces - for some sultry Benedict friends-to-lovemaking
The Viscount Who Loved Me Too Much - an ongoing Anthony multichapter romance that is sure to surprise and delight
Tumblr media
Or if your tastes are skewing a bit more...carnal, you must know about the incomparable @fayes-fics. Benedict smut queen and creator of the A&B manbread sandwich, her catalog offers so many steamy encounters with the two eldest Bridgerton brothers that you are at risk of developing bedsores while you enjoy them lefthanded 😉 But lucky for us, she plies her skilled pen to sweet romance and heartwrenching emotions as well. Masterlist here.
There are literally, literally too many jewels to highlight in the treasure trove of Faye's stories, but I highly encourage reading:
Lessons - the A&B throuple series of your dreams
Double Bind - an A&B love triangle series Faye sweetly crafted from my greedy little prompts
Second Son - a beautiful G-rated story of Benedict finding love and self-worth
The Things We Do For Love - Anthony. Benedict. Orgasms. Emotions. Just read it.
I have to cut myself off because I could list these forever...
Tumblr media
Then if you're in the mood for some Viscount served up piping hot, pay a visit to our darling Bridgerton smut auntie @colettebronte My talented friend practices her own kind of alchemy, blending no-holds-barred kinks with fantastical settings and even a dash of history to create stories that are completely unique and entirely incendiary. The steam is....burning, the sweetness is real and the characterizations are always on point.
Her entire collection should be read, Masterlist here, but personal favorites for me include:
Lord Bridgerton's List - Thigh Riding - Just, read the whole List. Trust me.
The Queen and the General 4 - A powerplay threesome with Anthony and Simon. Need I say more?
Rise and Breathe - healing heartbroken regency Anthony through kink? I cannot wait to see where this series goes...
All The Time in The World - an apocalyptic Anthony series that I am salivating for more of!
Tumblr media
I know so many talented fic authors, I could turn this answer into a novel. Search the #fic rec tag in my blog to see them all, but I would be remiss not to highlight these other incredible stories and authors:
@queen-of-the-misfit-toys is a stunning Bridgerton family writer, who knows how to make your jaw hit the floor, either from the delightful filth of her smut or the most heartbreakingly beautiful angst you could imagine. I recommend The End of All Things
@the-other-art-blog Just knocked my absolute socks off by imagining the most perfect origin story for My Cottage here
@fiction-is-life Is taking my prompts for angsty Benedict and delivering with a stunning series starting with Touchstone of Our Character
@urchintoast creates wonderful, lively imagery and has written some heartfelt and adorable Anthony and Benedict stories. I highly recommend Fear
And dear lord, the sweepingly beautiful, searingly sexy, deeply moving Don't You Remember by @captainbucky-yt is my most favorite Benophie retelling
I could type my fingers to stubs if I told you about all the fics I have loved, so please take this as a springboard and go enjoy everything these Bridgerbuddies have to offer 💙

What would happen in your ideal Morty-focused episode? Maybe one involving Dr. Wong? 🤔
Ohhhh, I like this question!! :)
I think in my ideal Morty episode (and this is going to be controversial) the main thing would be very minimal-to-no Rick involvement or screentime. *sirens blaring*
Anyway, getting serious: I LOVE episodes like 'Analyze Piss' that really delve deep into Rick's character. At the same time, I feel like there just isn't a Morty equivalent to that, ya know? Rick gets episodes nearly entirely devoid of Morty at times, but we don't have a single episode (if you don't count 'A Rick in King Mortur's Mort', since RickBot was involved in the main plot instead of Rick) where we just get Morty.
Another thing I'd like to see is some character exploration on Morty's behalf that isn't centered around his relationship with Rick. I want to know more about Morty's hobbies and interests, social struggles, and psyche that isn't just 'repressed rage' or 'complicated feelings about Rick.' Like, no shit this kid is angry! No shit he has complicated feelings towards his abuser! He is his own person, and I'd like to get to know him. His room fascinates me because there are so many hints at his personality that never get properly fleshed out.
In a therapy episode with Dr. Wong, I would absolutely love to see Morty hash out some of his trauma, and for someone to explicitly label Rick as an abuser. I'd kill for some acknowledgement of how the neglect from his parents has effected him and maybe some exploration of his hyper-empathy. I would kill for any Morty psychoanalysis that isn't explicitly related to Rick, to be honest. I acknowledge that a TON of Morty's psyche is going to be a result of Rick's behavior, but it often gets explored in terms of how that effects Rick and not how that effects Morty. I'd also like them to revisit that 'disability' line from the pilot, and I think a solo therapy episode for Morty would be great for that. I think it would be groundbreaking for the show to have two canonically autistic leads.
This was so fun to rant about! Thank you for asking!! :3

Just finished reading your fic Pizza Girl for the 3rd? 4th? time this year alone and I just wanted to say I hope you’re well (fanfic writers like you are angels who deserve the world) !!! and that I adore your characterization of every character!! The relationships and characters as individuals all read as something that’s been thought out so deliberately and with so much care and I really admire your commitment to your craft!! Your fic is one I routinely re-read when I finally get a quiet weekend to myself and I’m only just now realizing you have a tumblr that I could send a note of appreciation to.
I totally understand that jobs and life get in the way of writing (or pursuing any of life’s joys at all sometimes), so I hope this doesn’t feel like one of the pushy poking for an update asks because I’m content to wait for however long an updates may take, I just really wanted to let you know that you’re an amazing writer and your writing means a lot to me (and so many other people). Thank you. 🤍🤍🤍
(Edit: I did not just try and answer this through my tablet since my laptop is broken and did NOT fat-finger the answer button too soon, nope.) This is so sweet, thank you! I just love the idea that people reread my fic for comfort or for entertainment. I'm so glad that you enjoy how I write the characters. 🥺 Jason is SUCH a comfort character for me, and delving into his psyche just feels so weirdly cathartic. And don't worry, this doesn't sound pushy at all, this ask actually made my day. Thank you so much for this!

mini fic rec challenge: sterek edition
yay, thanks for doing the rec challenge, @i-sveikata!!  and effectively reminding me the end of may is somehow now(???) thereby kicking my ass to get my last two recs.  and omg, yes guysss, you know what’s good for not really feeling a fandom anymore?  READING FIC FROM IT.  i know, i’ve blown the whole thing wide open.  *coughs*  anyway, onto the thing here.  the point was to rec more recent fics (2021 and up) since when i do see sterek rec lists, a lot of the time it’s stuff from way back when.  i stuck (almost) entirely to 2023 for mine \o/
always an angel, never a god by piratetattoos.  that post-nogitsune stuff i love, really delves into stiles’ psyche and has derek as the ballast (always a lovely dynamic!)
on first and fierce affirming sight by wearetheluckyones. a 5+1 fic that is as soft and tender as it’s possible to be while still keeping the boys in character.  brava!
god was a dog-man by spqr.  post-movie fic that has some of my favorite stuff: like good friend scott and emotionally constipated derek ;)
how to court a werewolf by graveltotempo.  that entirely requited unrequited pining that gives me life. <3
i’ll fuck your life up as a blond by piratetattoos.  a fic i picked up right after dylan’s ‘not okay’ look came out, where someone was as obsessed with it as i was (it’s derek).
and a not quite rec? but more of a ‘watch this space’?  i’m a slow reader so i haven’t finished this yet but i’ve started it and am so far very much enjoying!: way down we go by wolfspurr.  also i haven’t read local area man resorts to necromancy as everything is ruined anyway by lunacanislupus_22 yet *AHEM* because i’ve been saving it as a reward for when i actually finish cleaning my place but i am certain it is going to be excellent!

Finally, I met a person with a similar opinion about Daniel, I hope you don’t mind me writing to you, I just want to talk to someone about him. I recently remembered about dbh and decided to delve deeper into this fandom, I liked Daniel because I like crazy and jealous characters so I wanted to read content about him and … it ruined my enjoyment of his character, I was surprised how much people are dismissive of what he did, many people justify that because of his new emotions, Daniel made a lot of hasty and bad decisions, well, maybe that's true, but it still doesn't change his actions, he had a choice to run away, but no, he chose violence and murder, he took Emma hostage and threatened to kill her, although he loved her, no, I think he really loved her, but at that moment he didn’t care about Emma’s safety, he just wanted to hurt someone harm at that time
It also outrages and annoys me when I see how in fanfiction where there is a scene that Emma forgives Daniel for what he did, no, just no, if Emma had ever met Daniel, she would have had a mental breakdown and a panic attack, she would never forgive Daniel, he killed her father, and almost killed her, this girl is completely traumatized because of him, even if Daniel sincerely repents, no amount of “sorry” will bring back John, will not bring back the dead policemen, who were sure to have family and friends, no one will restore healthy psyche of Emma and Caroline, Daniel destroyed everything irrevocably, there is no chance of forgiveness and redemption, for this reason, it infuriates me how people too easily treat Emma's trauma as if it doesn't matter
Also I don't like how people demonize John and Caroline, especially John, honestly we don't know what kind of people they were before the disaster because we only get glimpses of them, maybe they weren't very good people or not, but in anyway, it annoys me that all people think that Philips are to blame for everything, although they just wanted to buy a new android, they had no idea that Daniel actually felt something, although I have a theory that John and Caroline noticed that, something what's wrong with Daniel, and his behavior, he was too human, or did things that androids don't usually do, that's the reason they decided to replace Daniel, because of concern, but that's just a theory, anyway, people oversimplify things, making it seem like it's all Phillips' fault, and being too protective of Daniel
Thanks you reading, I needed someone to talk to about this because I felt like I was the only person who thought that Daniel was an asshole, I still have thoughts, but this won’t fit anymore, so I can write something else if only you are interested, of course
YES, YES TO ALL THIS
Man, I feel you, I was so damn frustrated when I went through their tags and saw it over and over again. This absolutely offensive absurd idea of some reconciliation, constant demonisation of John and Caroline and woobification of probably the most radically hateful and destructive character of the whole game. I swear, one of the absolute worst takes I've seen in this fandom were about Daniel and Emma. And it hurts my soul how people seem to refuse to empathise with Emma and Caroline for even one moment, because if they did, I don't believe those tags would look like they are. But well, this fandom is seeing exactly what David Cage presented – really black&white picture of that game world. "People bad androids good"
Btw, I tag them here as "#dbh emma" and "#dbh daniel" if you wanna go through more tags in which it's more similar to your view. I have quite a few posts under those tags, sometimes independently, and sometimes "dbh caroline" as well
Also, I have a really similar headcanon to yours! If you were to post a list of your headcanons about Phillips's and Daniel, I'd be curious to see it.

For the writers ask game: 🍓🌿
🍓 -- How did you get into writing fanfiction?
I was already making @those70scomics and posting them on the T7S message board at Fan Forum. I had an idea for a story where the T7S characters find themselves in the world of The 10th Kingdom. I told my friend (and eventual co-moderator) on the board the idea. She loved The 10th Kingdom and encouraged me to write the fic.
I did, first draft by hand (still have the notebook) while at home and abroad. I believed this would be the only (T7S) fanfic I'd write. Same as I thought I'd make only a hundred T7S comics and be done. 👀
Then the idea for Hyde's Long Way Home came to me. I felt like I had to write it. The story essentially wrote itself. Easiest time I had writing. Took such little time.
After that, the sequel to my first fanfic (Reflection Through the Glass) came to me. I loved it and kept at it, despite almost quitting (thank you, @that70sshowgoldencouple ♥️).
The ideas kept flowing. I created the One Difference series. My imagination is a freakin' nebula, birthing stories like stars. ✨
🌿 -- Give some advice on writers block and low creativity.
For writers block, I have two approaches. I stop writing and ask myself questions about what's keeping me from moving forward in the story. Is it an issue of not understanding the protagonist well enough? Is something about the protagonist, their arc, the plot tapping into my own psyche I need to deal with before I can continue writing? Did I "run out of road" -- i e. plot? If so, it's time to delve deeper into the characters, their goals, and what might be holding them back.
Or I put the story I'm currently working on aside and work on another one. Then, with fresh eyes, brain, and enthusiasm, I return to the first story.
On low creativity, I suggest making a realistic and small writing goal for oneself. If it's writing one sentence a day, do that consistently. You'll eventually have written a story. Sometimes, though, we have stress we might not be fully aware of, and that can inhibit creativity. In that case, prioritize mental health. Once we've gotten to a more peaceful emotional place, creativity will increase.

hi hi
I hope you’re doing well! Thank you for sticking with the fandom; your blog really keeps me going when it’s 11:22 P.M. and I have three assignments due in 30 minutes.
I’ve been thinking a bit (a lot) about the apology dance. I don’t understand why Crowley chose to apologise to begin with? Did he think Aziraphale wouldn’t have worked with him otherwise? I actually completely agree with Crowley’s initial response.
What are your thoughts? Am I missing something? It’s driving me a bit mad.
Loads of love!! <3
Hi Lovely!! Sorry for the delay in a reply to this!!! I completely forgot about it, so I'm so sorry!!
I hope you're doing well and those assignments got done!!! <3 <3
My opinion on the apology dance is kind of mixed, and people probably won't agree, so here goes:
So, my read on the situation is this: Crowley is pissed off at Aziraphale for wanting to help the angel that (unknown to Aziraphale!! this is important!) wanted to gleefully kill Azzie, but Aziraphale is ALWAYS trying to see the good in people, regardless of what has happened. It's one of Crowley's favourite things about Aziraphale, and I think inevitably it's what calms him down enough to see things from Azzie's POV.
BUT. There was also a THREAT to Azzie, and Crowley's über-protectiveness kicked in, but he knows Azzie is also stubborn, so, as you said, Crowley I think allowed Aziraphale that one apology dance to quickly resolve their fight and allow Crowley to be watchful over Azzie. Because at the very least, he himself knows that it's not Azzie's fault that he doesn't KNOW why Crowley reacted harshly to Gabriel because Crowley never TOLD Aziraphale, that much is clear by the end of the season. Crowley, unfortunately, believes he can protect Aziraphale from unhappiness and unpleasantness by just... omitting REALLY IMPORTANT FACTS from Azzie's knowledge, and in the end we end up with what happened AT the end. The dance is essentially Crowley just... covering up his worries for Aziraphale and is a precursor to the events of the Final Fifteen™.
And unfortunately a little dance can't solve their communication issues that plague all of S2.
So yeah, while I agree that Crowley PROBABLY has every right to be pissed off with Aziraphale, he ALSO kind of... doesn't explain to Azzie why he's so mad. Ever. From Azzie's perspective, he just wants his crush best friend to help him with something that he feels is important, and the one person he cares about so much turned his back on him for no reason. It hurt. It was said with such malice and hatred. It made him sad and mope. And he doesn't underSTAND why Crowley won't help him. Because Crowley KNOWS Aziraphale is like this, why is he being so mean about it?
And then Crowley comes back, does a little dance, and everything is better now!
(but we know it's not).
Thanks for this question Lovely!! I love delving into fictional character psyches, LOL. If anyone has any other suggestions, please do add on to this! <3

Tell me more about Ad Astra!
Oh boy! Ad Astra! I can talk someone's ear off on this setting that's in my head for it, but I've not posted about it a lot on tumblr (or anywhere really).
Ad Astra is an FFXV fic that I'm afraid to write at this point, but has a bunch of notes and small snippets written (though mostly to establish the feel and setting). It's a very Astral centric story and runs on some very eldritch, 'beyond mortal understanding' concepts and stuff.
It is built on the idea of a 'young' Astral that has joined the pantheon. They are a dual-aspected being of Light that has been formed by a metaphysical union of Noctis and Luna. The plan for it is to delve into the kind of risks that may happen beyond mortal awareness that would require the protection of an Astral.
I want to get a bit more experience in storytelling under my belt before I'm fully comfortable writing it. This is because this story, as I have it in my head, will explore concepts of duality between light and darkness and mortality and divinity. I also want to be sure I can manage the blurred line of gender that will be present in this in as best a way as possible, since this is following an entity that is technically a bigender being. I want to manage it in a respectful manner while keeping it as part of the mystery.
This will probably be in the works for a very, very long time. I want to read more in this kind of realm of fiction with a focus on psych horror, eldritch horror, stories involving nonbinary characters. I will also need to read up on religions and how they portray multi-faceted beings.
Most of what I've been trying to accomplish (poorly at this point, unfortunately), has been trying to emulate storytelling that's clearly inspired by the art you'd see from people like Silly Chaotic on twitter, or the imagery that is presented in the short animation, Puparia.
I've got a small snippet added, though. I hope you enjoy and thank you for asking about this particular WIP. <3
[This occurs after Noctis had been shot by someone they were tracking and he disappeared]
---------
[Lunafreya] stepped forward with her hands held out at her sides. The spiritual presence of such a being could be stifling to a mind and soul that was unable to cope with that very influence on the very world around them. So it was no surprise as the man dropped his gun and fell to a knee - somehow her presence alone forced subservience.
"You have made a grave mistake." Power was threaded in her voice. [Her] presence was simply light. Pure, untainted, and blindingly brilliant.
Lunafreya stepped forward, though still out of the man's reach, she gestured to pull the gun from its place on the ground and let it hover over her hand. She studied it in silence. When she finally spoke up, she said, "Weapons such as this may wound our kind, but they do not kill."
She looked up from it to focus on the man this time. "You may have wanted us eliminated, but we are not gone." As she continued speaking, her voice was joined by another's - the man's that had just fallen to the ground. "We exist as one, and we exist as both. We are light, but where there is light, you will also find the shadows."
It was with those words that hands thrust free of the shadows cast by the man from Lunafreya's light. The shadow had seemingly come to life and wrapped itself around the gunman and pulled him back to the ground. His scream was cut off abruptly as a hand covered his mouth.

If you’re bored, post this on your account and let your followers ship you with a fictional character:
Right, I’ve been thinking this one over and over. I’ve come up with two for now but may add a third!
First up is - Captain Levi Ackerman. And here’s why.
Tumblr media
You’re no stranger to imagining this man’s anatomy, given the delicious banquet of fics you’ve set out for us hungry readers. And, beyond this of course, you’ve delved into the character’s psyche enough to show a profound love and appreciation of him. Levi deserves to be understood and accepted, and you deserve someone who will show you steadfast loyalty, affection and A-grade banter.
I’m a huge fan of the sunshine x grumpy dynamic. Whilst Levi provides the dry wit and withering sarcasm - we all know what you bring to balance him out ☀️
okay so first off, i'm hella flattered bc i know he's your snk fave, so thank you for this honor!!
i dooo love him very much, he so precious to me and i have about a dozen new headcanons for him on the daily because he's one of my strongest soldiers muses ♥️♥️
but also, you know how hard i ship him with Hange (+/- Erwin at times) so like... he's my lil dude, yk? i don't wanna fuck him (.... that's a lie, i totally would in a fwb setting, i mean i have eyes and a sl0t mentality after all), i mostly want us to share a beer or seven, i wanna hug the traumas out of him once we're both tipsy enough to be okay with physical touch, and i wanna give him advice on how to land both of his Commander lovers!! they would make him a thousand times happier than anyone else, including myself, ever could ♥️
i will never understand how i got this sunshine reputation (like don't you dare ever take it back i'm keeping it forever, but i still do not understand it lmao), but i do agree that we'd bicker non stop and have a lot of fun in the process!! platonic/fwb ship approved!!
ship me with a fictional character (or several!!)

Character ask: Tina!
Awwwww, Teeny Tina!! 🥹❣️ Thank you so much for asking about my daughter!!
First impression: I've always loved Tina and related to her a lot. She's a weirdo who loves writing fanfiction and is also definitely autistic. How could you not love her?? I definitely relate to how awkward and shy she can be at moments because that was definitely me. It was more so when I was younger, but still. I remember seeing her fail at the toothpick challenge in the first episode and laughing my head off.
Impression now: I still love Tina, she's so sweet and has gone through a lot of development as well. She legitimately stands up for herself a lot more, showing that she knows her worth. You go girl. I also love when episodes delve into her psyche, such as the Some Like It Bot two-parter. It was so interesting seeing her almost go through with this crazy decision, only to realize that she and Tammy have more in common than she thought. It was so fascinating to see how teasing has affected her over the years and caused a negative self-image within her. I wanted to hug her so bad ):
Favorite moment: One of my favorite moments was when she was riding Jericho at the horse camp after learning how difficult it was riding an actual horse (it's not really her fault, though, she got stuck with the most difficult horse when it was her first time, which must've sucked). Another one of my favorite moments with her was when she gave Louise that bracelet, which Louise immediately decided she wanted to keep. So sweet. Also when she crashed the car in Tina-Rannasaurus Wrecks, because that entire scene, I--
Idea for a story: Maybe a story that does a huge deep dive into her relationship with Jimmy Jr. would be interesting. I think their relationship is just so interesting to analyze and has a lot of story potential.
Unpopular opinion: I'm not sure if I have any unpopular opinions about her per se?? Maybe that I think she might be straight and polyamorous rather than Bi. But I could see her being Bi, just, like, 99% boys. I just think there hasn't been enough evidence (yet) to show her being Bi. But that could always change!!
Favorite relationship: Her relationship with Jimmy Jr. is so fascinating to analyze and talk about, I could just talk about them all day. Their relationship is just so interesting. I also love her relationship with her siblings, it's always very sweet to see. We definitely need time to flesh out her relationship with Gene in particular. It's worth pursuing!!
Favorite headcanon: Probably that she's neurodivergent, because she definitely is. I love how she's weird and strange and almost no one looks down on her because of it, at least when it comes to her family. She's just her nerdy authentic self.

I was wondering, who is your favorite Upper Moon? Mine are Gyutaro and Nakime in case you were wondering.
Thanks for asking!
For me, KNY is a hard series for favorites, just because I like all of the characters so much, I could pick one at random, and explain why they're one of my favorites. For instance, I love how Gyutaro and Daki so strongly parallel Tanjiro and Nezuko, and it's a really interesting exploration of the idea of sibling bonds, which are everywhere in the story. But, if I were forced to pick a single favorite, I think it has to be Akaza, for a few reasons.
The first of which is that all the backstage machinations of the UMs we see is done so through Akaza's point of view. He is the lens through which the audience views the Upper Moons. He's the first Upper Moon we encounter, a hallmark of their strength, and why we should be afraid of them. Akaza is the vessel through which the audience is exposed to Muzan's obsession with finding the Blue Spider Lily. When we meet the other Upper Moons in the meeting, we get to know their personalities through his interactions with them. Akaza is, quite literally, an evil Shonen Protagonist. His primary goal is to become the strongest, and he does a lot of training and respects his opponents' strengths, even offering to many of them to change sides and 'redeem' themselves. He's out here trying to Talk no Jutsu Kyojuro into 'changing his ways' and becoming his ally, but Kyojuro just isn't having it.
The second reason I love Akaza is the fact that he's one of the few great examples of promises and payoffs in the story. When Akaza retreats from the dying Rengoku, Tanjiro calls him out on it, even managing to get a hit in on him. Then, when we see Akaza next after being berated by Muzan, he swears that the next time he sees Tanjiro, he'll kill him. This acts as a cue to the audience that we are definitely going to see Tanjiro and Akaza face off again. It's a promise from croc-sensei to the readers that Tanjiro is going to get his chance to avenge Rengoku's death. The way Infinity Castle is structured is unique, because for each fight there's sort of a different protagonist. Kanao is the protagonist in the Doma fight, Zenitsu in the Kaigaku, etc. So I think it's super telling, and a super great piece of payoff that our Main Protagonist's big fight in the penultimate arc is against the villain that we were promised he would fight again. Muzan might have been the one to kill Tanjiro's family, but Akaza is perhaps an even more personal villain for Tanjiro, and it's why Tanjiro and Giyuu vs. Akaza is one of my all time favorite fights in the series.
The third and final reason is also probably the most obvious. Akaza is complicated as a character. I think the way his backstory was handled was compelling and deeply emotionally moving. I think my initial thought process upon reading it was, "This man killed Rengoku, so I hate him. But, also, he's probably the single most tragic figure in the series, so I can't help but feel a deep sense of sympathy for him." And I just think characters like that are really interesting. I never 'forgave' Akaza, but delving into his own psyche broadened my perspective on him and helped me appreciate him beyond his role as a character for Tanjiro to seek vengeance against.
So yeah, long story short, it's probably Akaza most days (although aesthetically it's Doma because rainbow eyes are PEAK).
