i turn 24 today. To celebrate, I made this comic to be a spiritual successor to lead balloon, a comic in which I talked about the darkest period of my life so far.

A lot has changed since my 23rd birthday and this one. My priorities have shifted a lot, in ways that I think are mostly good. But i think the best part about today is that suicide has gone back to being a far away notion. I'm really lucky, and I'm grateful for that.

It’s ALLLL in the pet names. Because he does it so casual and it comes and goes so quickly he doesn’t notice hot your face gets or how you stammer when he asks you a question.

“Sweetheart” “darling” “love” “baby”

This one is not really flirting but it’s something I can see him doing and it makes me SICK (I want him so bad.) but he just…watches and listens to you very intently when you’re talking to him. Even when it’s something as simple as telling him about your day. You’re leaning on his shoulder and he’s stroking your head as you just…talk about whatever’s going on in your brain. (Yappers unite! ✊🏾✊🏾)

Now…something that’s very important to me…quidditch Harry. He is SUCH a menace. Everything he does during quidditch? PURPOSEFUL!

Showing off by doing super unnecessary tricks, (stalling the WHOLE match.) catching the snitch and OFFERING it to you with a showy smirk.

You know what’s funny though? Even though Harry flirts with you big time, the second you flirt back he’s all flustered about it. It doesn’t even have to be something big. A simple kiss on the cheek or a mumble of a petname and a tug on his hand at a party when you’re ready to go and he’s putty in your hands. A human puddle.

Talon -William Cobb, that was his name once, he remembers that much at least- stares down blankly at the small child who is clinging to its -his His HIS- pant leg, tiny claws digging into the cloth and gripping onto the armor. It he freezes, unsure as to how to react. With Hunts or Orders, the talon knew exactly what to do. Entertain. Kill. Simple. 

Talons were supposed to kill witnesses, he- IT knows this, especially as one of the oldest talons that belonged to the Court. Yet the talon hesitates, something stopping it from doing so. The child looks up at it, something oh so familiar about the motion, with blue-green eyes before burying their face against its- his?- leg. 

“'̵m̸ ̵c̴o̷l̵d̸…” the child-chick… spoke? Not-spoke. Something else, familiar-yet-not. But cold, he knew that. Cold was bad, it meant sleep, not rest but a deep frozen sleep that took time to awaken from. A dangerous thing. A thing not-talons didn’t wake up from. 

The chick -Hadn’t he had a child once, all that time ago- whined, bringing its-his attention back to them. Talon could wait to return to the Court for a few hours more- the task it had been given was already complete-and keep the Cold away from the tiny chick. Just for a little bit.

This Piece is easily my favorite you've ever done, I think about it so often. The soft hazey feeling, the cozy feeling of the bed, the pure gaze of Vasco, AGH.

Apologies if you've answered this before, but what's the device you draw on Livio/Razlo's ear? Is it similar to like a hearing aid or cochlear implant?

So I don't think it's ever actually discussed what the ear piece is in Maximum but I think it can safely be inferred that it has something to do with LR's third arm, a sort of control device- I like to imagine tho they were already missing their ear because it got blown off before they could do regeneration, so it was a handy spot to slap that thing on. I also like to think that if you take the cup portion off there's just a bunch of like, exposed nerves underneath-

As for the mask/wig combo ngl I'm a fan of Mr. Nightow's "it's there cause it looks Siiiiiiiick" rule- I do believe it does have a critical purpose in that it helps keep Livio and Razlo's identities separate. It's a combative advantage in that the 'enemy' doesn't know there's a second player with a different skill set, and any witnesses who see a fight can only say they saw either L or they saw R (given that usually only one is necessary for a fight), keeping the idea that LR are two separate bodied individuals alive

The design and material the mask is made of is interesting tho, as that its function is purely for aesthetics. It's incredibly fragile, as it shatters into pieces simply from falling and hitting the ground. It also probably requires a lot of time and effort it probably takes to put it on to get it to blend in perfectly with their real hair. Very style savy of them.

Hey everyone. This is a photo of mine and Sock’s cat, Joansy, who went missing around three days ago. I don’t usually try to ask for help on the internet, but I decided I’d open a donation post, because we’ve been printing out flyers, posters, and signs to try to get any local assistance we can to track her down and bring her home.

I know there’s a lot of trouble going on in the world, and everyone is dealing with their own problems, so don’t feel pressured to donate to this. We’re only looking to recoup at least a little of the money spent on signs, because this was a very unexpected expense in this month’s budget. If you don’t want to, or can’t, donate, that’s totally fine, do not feel bad about it. Reblogs help, but even just casual happy vibes our way mean the world. I hope so much that we can find her soon, and I’ll keep you all posted if there’s any update on this.
