But can see through her feet, the thing is, she's strong on any land but HATES getting on ships because the only thing she sees is the ships interior not the outside which is the ocean, she fears with a little push she MIGHT fall over. Also, when they first met, reader may or may not play the "I'm sorry I'm blind" card and steal a hefty amount from the crew and running away faster than any of them combined lol.

I just imagine reader being innocent until she isn't lmao

I loooove Avatar omg, I still need to sit with my dad and finish the live action Netflix series, but the original series has a special place in my heart. I really liked this prompt, I hope I did it justice for you!!

“I’m sorry, I’m blind.”

Law should’ve realized right away that it would be an excuse the moment he met you. He feels a little stupid now, having you strapped to a chair in front of him and his crew, the very people who tried to be helpful but that you stole from. Shachi questions if you actually are blind, waving his hand in front of your face though you don’t make any movements that you can see his hand moving. Penguin rolls his eyes and tells him to stop, as Law simply sighs over the situation.

You thought it was okay, you thought you’d get away with everything you’d grabbed, you didn’t know what the half of it was. You just snatched whatever seemed valuable and booked it, not caring that there was a feeling of guilt as you ran off that stupid submarine and back onto dry land, at least then you could see everything. You hated that you could only see the inside of that submarine, you didn’t even really want to be there but had flirted enough with one of the crewmembers (poor Hakugan) to get on board, knowing they must have some treasure after hearing they were a pirate crew, especially hearing it was Trafalgar Law’s crew. Even you kept up with the rumors and gossip, you knew he had a decent bounty on him, even at just twenty-one years old.

Your only mistake was staying aboard too late and grabbing his sword as something to sell, of course he’d notice that.

You thought you were fast but somehow he caught up to you, it must be a Devil Fruit you realize quickly. No one on this island could keep up with you even with your visual impairment, Law having powers is the only thing that makes sense.

“Captain, I’m sorry, I didn’t—”

“You didn’t do anything wrong, Hakugan,” Law sighs again while his friend hangs his head with a small nod, “If she hadn’t grabbed Kikoku, we wouldn’t have known she’d stolen anything really.”

You tilted your head with your brow furrowed, confused on what he must mean. You had grabbed a ton of things, hadn’t you?

“Yeah,” Penguin laughs, shaking his head, “Grabbing all those medical supplies was a stupid move.”

“Guess it’s not that obvious that our ship has such a big medical ward, huh?”

You feel like an idiot now, embarrassment flooding over you as you listen to them list off what you’d grabbed, apart from Kikoku. Bandages, cough medicine, various medicinal drugs. You though ‘surgeon of death’ was just a moniker, not that Law really is a doctor.

You really wish you would wake up from this nightmare in your bed, you’d completely ignore the people talking about a pirate crew docking at your home island and go about your day. Part of you thinks you should have done that anyway, even when Law dismisses the rest of his crew to speak to you alone.

He's quiet for a bit, just as you are, until he crouches in front of you and sets a hand on your shoulder.

“You wanna explain?”

“…I really am blind.”

“I know that, I don’t doubt your disability,” he’s not like Shachi, questioning your reality or anything, he’s just wondering what your plan was, “I’m talking about stealing from us. If you had known it was mainly medical supplies—”

“I wouldn’t have touched any of it. I wouldn’t have bothered…”

“…so why did you?”

“…you would too to keep your home.”

Ah that’s it, you’re trying to stay in your house. It must be rent or taxes, he’s not sure, but the way you hang your head makes Law start to think.

“No one wants to hire the blind orphan. I’m not worth—”

“I think Ikkaku would be glad to have a roommate. We’ll go get your stuff in the morning and—”

“What? What are you talking about?”

The way you lift and tilt your head, blinking while Law smiles to himself just a bit.

“You’ll come with us, as payment for trying to steal our supplies and my sword. In the morning, you’ll take us to where you live, we’ll pay what you owe, gather your stuff, and you’ll come with us.”

Law pats your shoulder lightly, you’re not sure why but it gets to you so much you start to cry. He doesn’t even give you a reason, letting you get your feelings out, as you start to nod.

Law looks up, jaw clenched as he prods gloved fingers against the dark cluster of bruising on your side. You bite back a hiss as he does so, exhaling when he lets up.

"They cracked at least two of your ribs." His tone is flat, and you can tell that he's upset ㅡ with you or the marines, however, you're not entirely sure. "From what I've been able to assess so far, that's also in addition to your arm, which is broken. Two of your fingers needed reset, not to mention the likelyhood of a concussionㅡ"

"Okay," you interrupt, "maybe it is as bad as it looks."

Law's eyes narrow. "That's understatement." You watch as he turns to grab a pair of tweezers, soaking a cottonball into antiseptic before he brings it up to dab at the puffy cut on your cheek. "You could have died."

You bite back another hiss, closing your eyes at the pain that lances from your bruised (and cracked) ribs. "But I didn't."

"You got lucky." Law's tone is icy as he dabs at the split in your lip. You watch as he turns to begin cleaning up the supplies he's used.

"Next timeㅡ"

Law almost slams the bandage case shut and turns to you, expression that of quiet fury, golden eyes blazing. "Next time? The next time you're dumb enough to get caught, they'll kill you. There will be no next time, [Name]."

You meet his gaze. "I'd rather die than betray this crew, Law. You know that."

Law is silent as he finishes up cleaning things and packing them away before he gets to his feet and moves towards the door. He pauses there, shoulders slumping with his slow exhale. "I know," he answers at last, "and that's exactly what I'm afraid of."

"I never did get to thank you two for rescuing me," you say as you study the cards before you, peering up at Penguin and Shachi.

Penguin smiles. "It was no problem. Kind of cool to get to sneak into a marine base. Like a spy."

"We couldn't have done it without captain," Shachi adds before he pauses. "Speaking of, did captain give you the okay to be wandering around again?"

Your lips part.

"No," comes the clipped response from behind you, making you freeze before you tip your head back to find Law staring at you. "I didn't."

"Iㅡ"

"Room." Tattooed fingers grip your shoulder. "Shambles."

Your stomach spins as scenery abruptly shifts, and you huff as Law appears a moment after you. "Using your devil fruit on me? Really?"

"Yes," Law answers, frustration clear in both his tone and expression. "Because you apparently can't follow orders. I told you bedrest and minimal movement."

"They're going to suspect something if they figure out you used it to drop me in your room."

He shrugs, arms folded across his chest. "Let them."

You groan. "Law, I'm going to insane. Let me do something."

"I'll tell you what you can do," Law starts, watches your expression light up. "You can do as I tell you and quit being a brat."

You stare, expression going deadpan. "There's no fun in that."

Law scowls before he pinches the bridge of his nose and sighs. "...just do this for me," he says, tone softer. "Please."

You stare and then huff as you move towards is bed, yanking the covers back to slip beneath them. Mindful not to jostle your arm or your bruised side, you turn to look at Law. "Happy?"

"Thrilled," comes the amused answer when you sulk, and he approaches to crouch beside the bed. "Quit pouting, you're an adult."

"But this is boring."

"Try to sleep. Rest is going to help you more than anything." Placing his hand over your eyes, Law can feel the brush of your eyelashes.

"Trying to smother me isn't going to help either."

Law's eyes flick skyward for a moment as he sighs. "I'm hardly smothering you. Although it's an idea, given that you'd be unconscious."

You reach up, pulling his hand down enough you can stare. "You wouldn't dare." He raises an eyebrow, and your eyes narrow. "Law."

"Then go to sleep." He counters crisply. "Or what can I offer you that will get you to stay put so I can work and not have to hunt you down?"

You hum, expression thoughtful before your eyes lock with his. "Kiss me." When he gives you a flat look, you grin. "You heard me, if you give me a kiss I'llㅡ"

Law's lips are against yours, familiar pressure that makes your eyes slide shut as you press back, good hand coming up to rest against the back of his cap. And then he's pulling away, ignoring your whine of protest. "Go to sleep."

"But I wantㅡ"

"Sleep," Law emphasizes. "We made a deal."

He pulls away completely, and you scowl before turning away with a huff. "Fine. Since you won't give me another kiss."

Scoffing, Law reaches to tug at the brim of his hat, hoping you don't notice the faint flush to his cheeks. "And I told you to stop being a brat."

Crossing the room, Law seats himself at his desk and flips open one of the various books he'd been taking notes from earlier. He doesn't know how long he reads for but when he looks up again, you're finally asleep.

Summary: Since you've joined the Strawhats crew, you've had a lot of fun and good time. But your capitain is someone who is a little clumsy. And, sometimes, that clumisiness affects you in ways he can't even imagine.

Pairing: Monkey D. Luffy x Reader.

Warnings: It's a little angst to fluff, but mostly angst. But with fluff. And cursing, ig.

A/n: OMG. I had this idea when I was remembering the funny moments between Luffy and Zoro, and I imagined it. It was one of the best scenarios I've ever imagined. Really loved this one. I'm thinking about doing hcs for the Vinsmoke brothers, would you guys want that? They've rented a triplex on my head and I can't stand it.

Words: 1,540 words.

It was another normal day on the Sunny. Sanji was in the kitchen, preparing drinks and snacks for you, Nami and Robin; Usopp and Franky were drawing new machines and inventions to improve things on the ship; Brook and Chopper were playing cards; Zoro was in the crow's nest doing his daily strength training and Luffy was fishing. All seemed to be going normal, but, of course, things on this ship never stay peaceful for too long.

"I got a big one! Usopp! Chopper! Help me out here!", your captain yells and starts pulling his rod at full force. Usopp and Chopper go and start helping him pull it, and then the fish is out of the water. To help him, Luffy used his devil fruit abilities. You were just walking to the kitchen to ask Sanji about your drink when you felt it. The arm Luffy had stretched came at full speed at your back, throwing you against the wooden ship wall.

The wall you hit on was part of the kitchen, so Sanji had a good fright when he heard the really loud thump on the wall. Everyone outside stopped gasped and stopped everything they were doing. This time, there was no way you didn't get hurt. You've been the main target of Luffy's "stretch back on's" for quite some time now. You've only shown how they affected you to Chopper because he was the doctor and insisted on looking at your wounds. You were always covered in deep purple bruises all over your body.

You begged Chopper not to tell anyone, especially your captain, about them. You didn't want the rest of the crew to be worried about your every step because Luffy might hit you. But this time, there was no way to hide it. You hit face-first. You were going to have a huge black eye for a long time. And, come on! That hurt like a bitch! Time seemed to stop for the Strawhats, all of them worried about the hit you just got. But Luffy couldn't have been more oblivious to the harm he's just caused.

When Sanji came out of the kitchen to see what was happening, his eyes widened at you; sprawled out on the floor. Even Zoro got out of the crow's nest to see what was happening. He heard the bang from up there. "Y/n-swan! What happened?!", Sanji asked, running to help you up. Zoro came running as well, worried and curious as to why you were on the floor. You couldn't stand it anymore. You hadn't said a word, trying your best not to cry in front of the whole crew. "I'm okay.", you said, voice a little high pitched. Was all you could manage to say before running to your room, tears already running down your face.

"Hey! Usopp! Chopper! I asked you guys for help, not to stay there looking at the wind!", Luffy said, a little bit annoyed that his friends were not helping him. That's when Nami lost it. "Luffy, are you fucking serious right now? You didn't see what you just did to Y/n?", she screamed at the boy. Luffy was a little taken aback by the shouting. "What do you mean? Y/n is perfectly fine! She's right the-", he pointed to where you were a few minutes ago, resting. He was confused. Where were you? "Luffy, when you stretched your arm to get that fish, while it was stratching back, it hit Y/n with full force and she hit the ship wall at full, too. You hurt her really bad this time.", Robin explained to him the situation.

"Hold the horses, I hurt her?", Luffy asked, not believing what his ears. "Yes, Luffy. You've been hurting her for quite some time now, actually. She asked me to keep this a secret from you all, but I see no point in hiding it now. She is covered in black bruises all over her body.", Chopper said, hoping it would make things a little clearer. "That's why she's been wearing long sleeves and pants? I thought she was sick because there was no way she was feeling cold in these hot days we're going through.", Usopp said.

Luffy hasn't said anything. He was feeling the worst person on the planet. He's been hurting you over and over and didn't even notice! How could he? He was supposed to protect you. Not harm you. He started walking towards his cabin, head low and totally silent. "Are you alright, captain?", Zoro asked. "Yeah, just need to think about the things I've done. I need to think of a way to redeem myself.", Luffy said and walked away. Nami started walking to your room. She needed to make sure you were okay.

When she arrived, she heard you crying from outside the door. She opened and couldn't believe her eyes. She heard Chopper say you were covered in black bruises, but she didn't think it was like this. How were you even standing? "N-Nami! What are you doing here?", you asked, trying to cover your body. "Don't need to hide it anymore. Chopper told us everything, but I didn't know they were this bad!", she said, worried. You couldn't believe it. Chopper told them?! That little reindeer was gonna pay you back.

You and Nami talked the whole afternoon, and you decided you shouldn't be ashamed of the bruises. So, instead of going to dinner in the long sleeves and pants you were used to, you went with a tank top and shorts. When you arrived at dinner, all the Strawhats were shocked at the amount of bruises you had, but didn't dare say a word, and you were thankful for it. You were feeling better not having to hide them anymore. Dinner rolled around pretty light, everyone laughing and having a good time. But something was missing. Where was your captain?

"Hey, guys. Where's Luffy?", you asked, really worried. He never skipped any meal. But as soon as the words left your mouth, the kitchen door swung open to reveal a blood and bruise covered Luffy. "I'm right here." he said, entering the kitchen in most calm of ways. "What happened to you?!", you yelled, worried. That's when he turned to you and saw your bruises. The guilt was eating him alive. He's done all those bruises on you. How dare he? How dare he be so stupid? So distractive. He dropped to his knees in front of you. Turning to look at you, tears in his black eyes. "Please, forgive me. I never, ever intended to hurt you. You are one of the few people I care about most in the world. I can't believe I've done this to you and not noticed! God, I feel so stupid!", he said, gripping his hair as if trying to rip it off.

You couldn't believe your eyes. How did he get this beaten up? "Me and the stupid marimo did it. He asked us to go at him with everything we got, and he didn't dodge one hit.", Sanji said, you didn't realise you said your thoughts outloud. "He said the only way he could redeem himself for what he did to you. If he suffered all the pain he made you feel.", Zoro said, completing Sanji's speech. You were feeling your eyes get filled with tears and a chuckle scaped you. "Stupid, wreckless captain. Of course I forgive you.", you said, gripping his chin for him to look at you. Luffy looked up and searched for your eyes to see if he could find any doubt. He didn't.

He smiled up at you and hugged you tight, you giving him the same treatment. He got up and started spining around with you in his arms. He was so happy right now. When he stopped spinning, he looked in your eyes. You had feelings for your captain way before this all happened, but never told them to anyone. Not even Nami. So when you sealed your lips on a sweet kiss, you were terrified of what was going to happen. But feelings were already all over the place. What harm could it cause adding one more?

The crew went dead silent and focused closely on what would happen next. Luffy looked at you, astonished. It passed a few seconds, and you thought you ruined everything. But then Luffy opened that usual wide grin of his, letting that laugh of his and kissed you again, spinning you around one more time. The Strawhats started shouting, happy for their captain and their crewmate. "Yohoho, I never expected that y/n would have hidden feelings for our dear captain!", Brook commented happy.

All the joy quieted down a bit, and everyone started eating the delicious dinner Sanji had prepared. Luffy sat beside you, not letting go of your hand for one second. You were going to figure out what you and Luffy were, but for now, you were happy to be more than just a friend. "Okay, now that everyone has solved their problems. Can you please stop hurting yourselves? I'm tired of taking care of beaten up crewmates.", Chopper said, making everyone burst out laughing.

yourusername welcome back to my post game penalty box update show: quinny tried his best edition!

there were a total of fourteen penalties in this game, including some misconducts for laffy taffy, but none of them belonged to quintin! way to go, best friend! (this is lie. i’m disappointed. angry, even. please crime. i’ll give you a dollar.)

what did bring me immense joy was quinn literally jumping into a scrum and proceeded to get yanked out of it via his neck! he looked quite terrified after he did it, and i was laughing my ass off at home! (also him getting knocked down) (tysm flyers for that one) (took me back to childhood) (it was great)

this game was very painful to watch, but at least no one died! and at least we're 2-1-0! the devils are not that! that's a win in my book!

i love you way past infinity, quinny💙 drop gloves next time! i'm still proud of you for jumping in though! just spice it up for me!

Armand or Lestat? Who’s WORSE?- AvatarAdrian

Omg thank you for the discourse! "Do I wanna be thrown through walls and dropped from the clouds, or do I wanna be emotionally manipulated and have my memories edited?" THIS. Physical abuse vs mental/psychological abuse. Pick your poison. Lestat & Armand are the only lovers Louis ever has, so you're forced to sit & go which one IS better, or are they both EQUALLY horrendous in their own way? The one who's brazen about his toxic behavior, so you at least know what you're working with, even if you can't beat him; or the one victimizing himself while he screws you over and makes you think YOU'RE the problem, so you're stuck in the same limbo for 77 YEARS going NOWHERE until a literal professional has to come EXTRACT you from the situation (Lestat during the Trial & Daniel during the interview)?

 I 100% agree with you about Lestat's casual racist colorblindness, but that's exactly the trap Claudia fell for, thinking skinship=kinship just cuz Armand led the coven & was darker-skinned than Louis. (2x2 "I was just glad no one wanted to lynch me;" VS. 2x7 "it's a stoning!") So I disagree that Armand's easier to deal with. Lestat's the Ike Turner Louis was eventually able to fight back against & run away from. But Armand's the Charles Manson tryna convert you into a LITERAL cult, gaslighting the absolute hell out of you to become his perfect little Stepford Wife--THE devil's minion.   

Lestat's like a bull in a china shop, just there to wreck your whole set. You can see his crazy arse coming a mile away. Lestat's "gonna do what he feels is best for himself and what's best for you." THIS. This controlling/oppressive God Complex behavior's at the root of his worst personality traits. He'll lovebomb & obfuscate & withhold, not out of MALICE, but out of his fear or rejection/abandonment on top of his pisspoor communication skills. He's unapologetic up to a point--IMO The Vampire Lestat & Queen of the Damned are Lestat's way of apologizing to Louis, by coming forward with all the secrets Louis always asked him about & wanted to know about him--all cards on the table, finally. And Lestat spends the rest of The Vampire Chronicles tryna become "a vampire WORTHY of Louis' love." He's still THE Brat Prince, and a perfect devil, but he tries to at least be a BETTER devil for LOUIS' sake. 

Armand's the snake you never see coming. "Oh, I won't be sitting in church being all judgemental, even though I am being just as nasty as  the rest of these miserable church folk." LOL! XD Facts, he can't be trusted, cuz he's stronger than you (like Lestat), and even worse: he's SMARTER than you, too! Louis & Claudia were able to trick & outsmart Lestat. You need to be a LITERAL PhD Pulitzer winning investigative journalist to crack Armand open. Daniel's the only one who can see thru Armand's BS. 

So yeah, I'd rather deal with Lestat.

The dynamic between Logan and Janus is so fascinating to me, I wish we had more of it. Because Logan and Janus seem civil at least, even with Janus teasing Logan about having feelings. Who are those enemies? I suppose it is Alice Hawthorne with the whole Omega thing (which I suspect could be some kind of organization/group like the Devils Mercy). It could also be Eve but she is a bit more of a wild card in my opinion, she could be working for someone else but also just for herself. Maybe she's now part of the Omega.

On a side note, I wonder why Jameson and Avery haven't told Grayson about Alice. It's been a year.

I think is pretty obvious Lyra was brought by the Omega. And if Eve is part of them, the person that put the notes would be Slate.

The lily is must definitely a symbol of significance for the Omega. AND CALLA, I feel she's Emily but worse, because she's probably a part of the Omega.

I stood there in my room deciding on what to wear to the New Jersey Devils game with Nick since after that Luke and I were going out to get something to eat. “So either this.” I said pointing to the outfit with a pair of jeans, white shirt, and leather jacket. “Or this.” Pointing to the other outfit that had a different pair of jeans, a black shirt, and a New Jersey Devils hoodie. “My black converses go with either outfit.” I added on looking at Nick to decide for me. He inspected each outfit carefully then looked over to me. “I say the second option. You’re going on a date with Luke afterwards so why not show your support for the Devils?” Nick said holding up the Devils hoodie. “That outfit it is then. I’ll be down in about 30 minutes.” I told him and he nodded giving a thumbs up then left closing the door behind him. I changed into the outfit putting everything on. After changing into the outfit I put on some light makeup and brushed through my hair then headed downstairs once done. “Alright, let’s go so we can get there before puck drop.” I said to the boys grabbing the car keys and tossing them to Matt. After that we all got in buckling up then heading to the arena. As we were driving Matt opened up the sun roof so I stuck my arm up looking up as my hair was blowing everywhere and took a picture for instagram.

I smiled reading Luke’s comment and laughing at everyone freaking out over our interaction in the comments as we got out the car after arriving at the arena. We all walked to it and walking in we got stopped? I don’t know why. “Are you Y/n Di Angelo?” The security guard asked. “Yes…” I said hesitantly while also confused. “This is for you. From Luke.” He said whispering Luke’s name while handing me a lanyard with a card on it. I looked at it and it was a pass to go back to where the teams arrived and everything. That’s why he we got stopped. I turned around to the triplets. “Go find our seats. Please? I’ll be back after.” I said and they just chuckled. “Go get your lover boy.” Chris said patting my back and I smiled then the security guard who gave me the pass led me to where I’m assuming Luke would be. It took a few minutes but we got there to an empty room and after the security guard left I was greeted with a hug from Luke. I hugged him back quickly sinking into his hold. His arms were around my waist with his hands rested on the small of my back. “Did you like the surprise?” He asked as we pulled out of the hug but his hands gripping my waist gently. Something about his hold made me feel… safe. In a way. Despite most of his hockey gear being on already. “I love it.” I smiled up at him. “I’ll come and get you from your seat after the game, yeah?” He asked and I nodded. He leaned his forehead against mine. “Puck drop is gonna start soon. You better go ragazzo carino.” I said with a grin. He grinned back stepping a step backwards. “What does ragazzo carino mean?” He asked and I gave a soft laugh. “Figure it out Lukey. I’ll cheer for you from the seats.” I told him with a smile which he returned then headed to my seat next to the triplets.

Luke’s POV

I smiled at the girl walking out shaking my head. We had just met the other day and I already liked her. After I didn’t see her anymore I left back to the locker room and put my gloves on. I wish she would tell me what ragazzo carino meant. I know it’s Italian. Well I’m assuming it is because she’s part Italian. Wait. Nico would know. “Hey, Nico?” I asked looking over to the Captain who was getting ready for the game. “Yeah?” He asked looking up. “What does ragazzo carino mean? Y/n the girl me and Jack bumped into keeps calling me that.” I asked grabbing my hockey stick. Nico chuckled shaking his head. “The girl has been calling you pretty boy in Italian.” He said and I instantly got red in the face. “Nice to know.” I whisper trailing off.

Back to Y/n’s pov

I had gotten to my seat and the boys shockingly didn’t question what happened. I was kind of relieved in a way. Soon enough the game came and gone. The Devils winning again 6-2. Luke even scored two of the goals. “Luke’s coming to get me from the seats here. You guys can go ahead and go home now.” I told them as everybody started piling out the seats not paying attention to our conversation, thank god. “Ah, no.” Chris said shaking his finger no. “Why?” I asked confused. “We have to make sure nothing bad happens to you tonight while with him.” Matt told me and I groaned dropping my head back. “Really?” I asked bringing my head back up. “Yes. Really.” Nick said as the boys all gave me a joking look. During our conversation I hadn’t realized about everyone was out by now. Luke was also heading our way now. I stood up once I saw him and smiled. He was in a normal outfit now. A New Jersey Devils hoodie and black sweatpants with shoes obviously. “Y/n-” he said but was interrupted by the triplets standing up right in between us. “Uhhh.” He said confused backing up a step and I rolled my eyes. “You better not hurt her.” Nick said crossing his arms while the other two did the same. “I wouldn’t dream of it.” Luke said still confused. “If you so happen to by any chance.” Chris threatened. “You will know extreme pain.” Matt added onto the threat. I stood there mouth dropped at them three boys in front of me. I snapped out of it and walked in front of of them then turned to the side so I could introduce all of them. “Ignore their threats. But, Luke, this is Matt, Nick, and Chris Sturniolo. My best friends.” I said pointing to each triplet when I said their names. “Boys as you know this is Luke.” I said gesturing to Luke. “It’s uh.. nice to meet you three. I promise I won’t hurt her ever.” Luke said with a small smile. “Good.” The three of them said. After introducing them all the triplets left and now it was just me and Luke there. “So, what did you think of that?” I asked Luke nervously as we started walking towards the exit of the arena. “They were interesting. Protective of you. But that’s what best friends are for.” Luke said with a smile as we got outside and he led me to his car. He put his arm around me and I did the same. We smiled to each other and chuckled as we continued our walk. Eventually we got to his car and he let go of me opening the door for me. I smiled getting in and buckling up then he shut the door and got in himself and buckled. “So where are we headed to?” I asked him looking over to him as he started the car pulling out of the parking lot and driving onto the road. “A cafe. I figured you’d like it from what I’ve seen on your instagram.” He said and I blushed looking down at my lap realizing he went through my instagram feed to see all of the times I posted about myself going to a cafe. He turned the radio up and Sweater Weather by the Neighbourhood came on. “Ooo. I love this song!” I beamed looking at the radio as the song played. “You’re cute.” He muttered smiling while focusing on the road. I smirked and leaned back in the seat finally then he held my hand with his. I blushed somehow more than I did earlier. I hummed along with the song as we arrived to the cafe. Luke parked then got out running over to the other side and opening the door for me before I even could unbuckle. “Such a gentleman.” I said with a chuckle unbuckling and getting out. “For you? Always.” Luke said shutting the car door and we walked into the cafe hand in hand. When we got in there we ordered our stuff. “A cinnamon coffee and a slice of red velvet cake please.” I said to the cashier. “I’ll have the same thing as her.” Luke said while taking out his wallet. “I pay for the next date.” I whisper to him and he nodded smirking. “Sure thing.” He said as he handed the cashier his card and payed. The cashier gave back his card and then we went and waited in a booth for our coffees and slices of cake. “So, what’s it like being a famous nhl player?” I asked him leaning forward resting my chin in my hands and Luke did the same.

“It’s hard at times but it’s also eventful and I’m grateful for it and all the opportunities I get because of it.” He said while keeping eye contact. Looking at them now genuinely his eyes are so pretty. I could honestly stare at them forever. I quickly shake the thought from my head as our coffees and cake slices come. “Here’s the coffees and cake slices for the lovely couple.” The waitress said and I almost froze. Yes we were on a date but we weren’t a couple. Yet, hopefully. “Thank you.” Luke said then I also said thank you. I dug into my cake enjoying every bit of it. “Do you eat red velvet cake much?” Luke asks and I swallow the piece I was chewing to answer. “It’s my favorite type of cake.” I said then took a sip of my coffee. “Noted.” Luke said then started eating his cake. We finished the cakes quickly and when we left decided to take our coffees with us. When Luke got back to my house we had already finished our coffees and he said he’d throw them away at his apartment when he got back so I wasn’t too worried about it. We walked up to my front porch and stood in front of the door like in some cheesy romance. “I enjoyed tonight a lot, Luke.” I said as he wrapped his arms around me and I did the same with him. Our foreheads and noses touched with our lips almost grazing. “Good. Can I kiss you?” He asks in a whisper. “Yeah.” I smile then he kisses me. I kiss him back and it’s a gentle and soft kiss. We pulled apart and was about to kiss again when we got interrupted. “Rootin rootin get to shootin.” Chris said opening the front door and I about died. Out of laughter and embarrassment. “Christopher Sturniolo!” I jokingly yelled while red in the face and Luke just laughed. “I’ll see you soon, pretty girl.” Luke said giving me a quick hug which I returned. “Hopefully real soon, ragazzo carino.” I said as Chris still stood at the door but I ignored it. I gave Luke one last smile then went inside the house in front of Chris. Chris closed the door behind us and I saw Matt and Nick sitting on the couch. “So what happened?” Nick asked and I plopped down on the couch. “It was great.” I said and explained everything that happened. Whatever was going to happen with me and Luke I was ready for it.
