So, you've met other villains that used to be scientists, but which villains have you came face to face to in general? Before or after the entire villain business. -🐀
// TW: Death, Gun violence, general just sensitive content and I feel like cos this is a touchy subject that I should put a warning here
Feat. Man-bat and Freeze that he's seen go from civilian to villain, Crane that he used to talk to, Riddler and Scarecrow he's encountered (and the latter he has no idea is Jonathan) //
You don't exactly move to a city where a crime boss dictates an unspoken curfew and not expect a few hiccoughs. I suppose I assumed that was all the issues were; crime.
I also assumed, wrongly, that it wouldn't effect me so deeply or personally.
And then the man invited me to listen to his talks, to sit in on his experiments. I was useless to him, dumbfounded and in awe at his research. We were joint by a love for small mammalian creatures.
But, the more I witnessed, the less I was confident in the route he was taking. His wife seemed to ground him, but his father in law? The way Dr. Langstrom spoke about him and "his genius" was concerning.
I overheard that he was cured...his wife stayed by his side. I admire that... I barely talk to him now. It feels as if I let him down an awful lot... Even if I knew my words would fall upon deaf ears, I should have tried.
I was invited to talk to his class. About the psychology of fear, no less. A prior project that lead into the current one.
We seldom caught each other, but the conversations we had (while fleeting) were entertaining. His intelligence was intimidating, the passion for his work astounding. He was a very passionate man. Fire in his eyes.
The last I heard from him was prior to the attacks on the university he lectured at. I know it's rather stupid of me to say, but I miss the seminars and occasionally catching a glimpse of his lectures.
I think he was the one that... that killed Dr. Crane...
I feared for my life.
I don't remember much of either encounters, I'm afraid. Otherwise, I... I may have been able to recount the experiences to you...
Living in Gotham --
Living in Gotham is hard.
