Today on batshit nextdoor posts: woman posts complaining about a group of teenagers "loitering, laughing obnoxiously, wearing hoodies and destroying Halloween decorations". Comments quickly descend into frothing rage and weird thinly veiled racism. People bemoan the "state of the world" and of today's youth. There is a cry to call the police that is quickly picked up by angry commenters encouraging the original poster to phone the community support officers.
It then turns out that they were there with permission, helping tidy up one of their parent's own displays.

bus stop blues — superman #322 | the batman's grave #7
[ID: two images to draw parallels. In the first image, we're shown Clark Kent taking a sulking shower in his apartment. He thinks, “Talk about humilation—! I regained enough of my powers to escape being skewered by that clock tower... but not enough to fly here! I don't know if I'll ever live down the embarrassment of being seen on the bus—as Superman!” In the second image, we're shown a four panel sequence of a bus stop in Gotham City after Batman's car got blown up. It's early morning and there's nine people waiting. They all begin to obviously stare as Batman slowly approaches them. He stoically looks at the surprised Gothamites as he continues to walk past them and their prying stares and off the panel. END ID]

so i used to write fanfiction for a friend. i uploaded them to wp for better access (she used to read everything there) and left them like that when i abandoned that profile. from time to time, people find it and they comment bomb me. and i find it utterly hilarious that now someone found it again and they comment on every little grammatical error lmfao
