That’s never been a thing that would happen.

There are two options at play her really - the first is that they will come to some kind of natural conclusion in episode 9 or 10.

Or the second option is that they’ll end the season together and will end some time early in season 8.

Either way it may or may not have to do with a buck feelings realisation - neither get in the way of buddie if that is what you’re worried about. All the chess pieces are moving into place nicely - Eddie still has a way to go on his journey - he has a lot to work through and isn’t ready for Buck at all yet and the show is dropping anvils that that’s where they’re going with his arc - we just don’t have a timeline yet.

Buck getting to be happy and have a good relationship for a period - while he discovers more about himself and while Eddie does that work on himself is no bad thing. Buck will also get to grow and learn - and get to a place where he is also ready for Eddie - for forever. Because as things stand right now - I don’t think Buck would handle a feelings realisation well at all - in fact I think it would be detrimental to buddie. For starters buck doesn’t really know how to have a healthy relationship - all of his have been some level of toxic. Secondly, tying bucks newly awakened queer identity to his feelings for Eddie in that way - so quickly - would potentially send buck spiralling at this moment in time in an unhealthy way- slowly figuring it out over time as he dates Tommy is a much more interesting narrative - and plays into why they’ve chosen to have Tommy be such an obvious version of Eddie - we the audience know and can see what’s going on but oblivious buck (being true to character and being oblivious!) slowly connecting the dots - in a way that frustrates the audience - the pay off for us is far more satisfying - and it’s a more realistic story and more ground breaking for a queer love story on network television!

We don’t want them to rush together because buddie is end game - the last relationship either will ever have - so then getting to a great place individually before they start something is really great and really important.

Plus don’t forget this cat and mouse type narrative is fun too - buck fell first but didn’t realise - Eddie fell harder but didn’t realise until he got shot - then Eddie had to hide it - then he had a grief spiral ,Buck in a coma) - then he got so good at keeping it buried he started dating Marisol - at which point Buck had an almost epiphany but has mistaken it for Tommy rather than Eddie.

Eddie who is now unpacking the bit of himself that will allow him to actually embrace his queer identity. Eddie who panicked - asked Marisol to move in with him when he realised Buck was single again - then decided to only back track a bit rather than ending things when he realised Buck wasn’t in fact single and was also bi and now dating Tommy - because being single and alone when the man you’ve been in love with for so long is no longer single and is now actually in a relationship with a man - that means he was an option is not a fun place to be - so staying in a relationship that’s meh but ok is preferable to him.

Basically - the show seems to be setting this up for a full arc in 8a, leading to buddie canon. I genuinely at this point don’t think they’re doing to have any form of Eddie actually stating his queerness in the rest of 7 - I think they will continue to make it blatantly obvious thats where it’s headed but I think they’ll save his story for 8a - which is the best place for it imo - where it can be done properly.

So why shouldn’t buck get to be happy with Tommy for a bit in the meantime?? He’s earnt it!

When you came to visit Mei on orders of Au Guang, to make sure that his greatx1M niece is doing alright after dealing with the samedi fire.

What he didn’t know was that you also got particular close to a certain Monkie Kid.

Once MK first met you, he already though you were really cool!

Since you lived in the east sea clan most your life he and Mei loved showing you around.

It took a while for him to fall but once he did he fell HARD.

MK is a naturally affectionate person but once he realises he’s absolutely smitten with you he becomes much more touchy, not in a bad way though!

After a couple nudges from Tang and Mei you two started dating!

For him it was the same but with MK, as long as you and the kiddies got along you were alright in his book.

Fast forward to when you two got together, Wukong made sure it was a spectacle, he is the Monkey King after all.

how about a short female reader x the rise brothers (seperate and romantic) who gets introduced as April's new friend to the turtles. she seems very aloof, intimidating and quiet but April convinces the guys that she's actually really friendly and they had a hard time believing her.

they try to get to know her or make her smile, get comfortable with them but she doesnt respond much other than hums, nods, head shakes, light gestures and often stares into the distance for long periods of time that the guys start to doubt April's judgement of them

straight up Raph is a little afraid of you initially.

because you've got the brooding thing down to a science and he just doesn't know what to do about that.

April insists that you're a really nice girl but Raph doesn't see it. he doesn't think you're mean or anything, he just thinks you don't like him and his brothers.

which sucks, because he hears all of April's stories about you and thinks you sound so cool! he wants to get to know that side of you!!

but he can barely get a word out of you when you come over. he never pushes you to talk or anything of course, but it's hard for him to want to talk to someone who doesn't ever want to talk back.

it feels like a lost cause to him and so he sorta stops going out of his way to get responses from you. he spends time with you when you come to the lair, but he's a little quieter himself.

it's about a week after that, while you and April are hanging out in the lair, that Raph accidentally gets a laugh out of you.

he genuinely has no idea what he did to make you laugh, or if it was something he said, but the sound catches him completely off-guard and he can't help but look at you in surprise while you try and act like nothing happened.

Raph thinks your laugh is adorable and he's determined to bring it out more, he wants to hear it all the time.

he tries even harder than before now, he even starts asking you to come over to hang out without April so you guys can bond.

initially you say no, but Raph kinda grows on you. he's sweet and patient with you even when you're feeling like words and socialization are too much.

and so you start to open up slowly. it's a lot of taking one step forward and two steps back, but over time you two really connect and Raph gets to see that side of you April always talks about.

and that boy falls in love fast, okay? he didn't stand a chance.

he doesn't bring it up for a long time because he doesn't want to ruin the friendship you've built, but April knows he's into you and decides to help her friend out by subtly asking you if you're into Raph.

spoiler alert: she was not subtle.

but you're just as into Raph as he is into you. how could you not be? he's got a big heart, and he does his best to be understanding of you. he helps you manage your anxiety in all sorts of ways, especially when it comes to communication. he tries to be considerate and tries to make you comfortable at every turn. you might have been stand-offish in the beginning, but you started crushing on him first, smitten with his attempts to bring you out of your shell.

so, when April not-so-subtly asks if you might have a crush on Raph, you confess.

and April doesn't outright tell Raph, but she doubles down on encouraging him to ask you out.

and eventually, he does! he tries to be casual about it, but you know it's a date and you have a great time. he even kisses your cheek at the end of the night - which makes you blush, much to his delight.

you guys make an adorable couple, April takes credit for getting you two together and you guys let her.

ah yes the anxiety king himself.

Leo manages his own anxiety and helps Donnie with his, so when he first meets you he catches on pretty quickly to what's going on.

he lets you be for the most part because he gets it. sometimes you don't want to talk, especially to new people.

he welcomes you as a new friend right off the bat and promptly talks your ear off like you've known each other for years.

you're immediately subjected to playful jokes about being short or about your seemingly cold attitude, but he always makes sure to follow those with little winks or smiles to let you know he's just playing.

in spite of all his teasing and chattering he's very observant and pays attention to you. if you're overwhelmed, he'll quiet down and get the others to do the same. if you need a distraction, he'll leave one of his or Donnie's fidget items out just in case you want to use it.

once you warm up to him, Leo also lets you fidget with his hands or his bandana tails.

Leo doesn't expect to get a whole laugh out of you anytime soon, but one of his corny puns pulls a snort out of you and it's easily his proudest moment.

he beams and continues on like everything's totally normal but inside he's throwing a whole celebration, he's pleased with himself.

more importantly, though, he's pleased knowing that you're growing more comfortable hanging out.

i've said it before and i'll say it again, it's the hill i'm dying on - Leo can clock anyone with a crush unless the person is himself.

he's definitely been into you from day one, but he's clueless to his crush until after you two start hanging out more. he does get playful and flirty sometimes, but he doesn't outright say anything about his feelings for a while.

because as confident as he pretends to be, he is still an anxiety king and the last thing he wants is to ruin the friendship he's formed with you over something like a crush.

Mikey knows about Leo's crush though, and Dr. Feelings makes an appearance to hype Leo up enough to ask you out finally.

you grow very comfortable around Donnie over time, and start hanging out in the lair with him without April.

she teases you about it, but she's genuinely glad you two are getting along so well.

Donnie doesn't exactly try to get responses from you, but you slowly start to open up and the next thing he knows you're asking questions about his projects and laughing at his little quips and jokes.

you're still shy about opening up, but Donnie encourages you every time with a little smile.

it's a lot of quiet observation, but he talks to you a lot too, tries to get to know you.

you don't give him a lot to work with, you're quiet and answer things sparingly, but Mikey is a patient guy and doesn't give up so easy.

your stiff responses and quiet manner is enough to clue him in to what's going on after a little bit.

he may not deal with anxiety much, but he's no stranger to it and he wants to make you comfortable.

and it does take a while, but it's worth it because one day while you guys are hanging out you end up laughing at a petty argument Donnie and Leo are having and it makes Mikey's day.

he loves seeing you open up and just as suspected, he begins seeing the side of you April told him about. and Mikey starts developing a crush pretty quickly.

ah! that makes me so happy to hear <3 i struggle with a lot of like, mental things & stuff that make it hard to decide if someones calling out or not, so thank you for being so nice and concise about your answer!

honestly, the way i reached out to apollon was by the same thing. him whispering his name into my head and i just went with it. it's weird, i genuinely used to be so quick to research and whatnot whenever i felt pulled to a deity but, growing a little more into my practice, i realized i take it so much slower? i can't decide if that's a bad thing, lol

If you've seen any of my other posts, you'll know I believe deities understand. And I thoroughly do! To my core.

Deities know when things interfere with the mortal and mundane worshipers. They get it, they would be kind of off without the ability to just know.

On the same foot, some deities enjoy (enjoy, not require) large offerings, and devotional acts, and rituals, but it's not a requirement. Especially when in the broom closet!

You won't be disappointing anyone, or anything, for that matter. You are worth anyone and everyone's time.

I actually love the little shelf altar for Apollo! Right now, Apollo shares an Altar space with Dionysus, and soon to add Hermes (and others but they'll all have different spaces).

Im sure if thats all you can do, King Asmodeous wont mind. Deities are very understanding entities, especially with all the drama that (usually) happens in mythos.

Lets say He is a deity that prefers large rituals, offerings, and devotional acts, your the one that dictates what "big" or "little" means in that situation. It's your practice so words like "big" and "little" are relative to you and your abilities.

When I approach Deities, i take it slow or fast, all depending on the nature of the deity. The same goes for entities. Since King Asmodeous is, well, a King, i recommend taking it slow and respectfully! If you cant have candles and such, i recommend getting a little (easily hide-able) bowl ! This can serve either as an Altar or an offering dish! You can add just about anything to it, and that will serve as you reaching out to a deity. You can also pray over these offerings as a more direct reach out.

Then onto my next point: Take things as slow/fast as you deem comfortable.

Not "necessary", not "acceptable", comfortable.

I really love hammering home "This is Your practice" because it is! No one else can dictate what's "too slow" or "too fast" thats yours to decide!

Research is a wonderful thing to do even if it slows down how fast you start working with an entity/Deity. Sense your the one risking being wrong, and doing all these devotional things in the end, the choice is up to you how much research you put forward in the beginning!

One last point before i go:

Anything can be devotional, anything. I mean it! Time doing research about my deities is how i continue to feel close to them, your dedicating time to them. That in and of itself builds a bond like no other!

Short answer, in regards to gsaslau, they're called "Nami" (it's Yosuke's fault) and adopt it as their legal name "Nami Kusumi," like Marie's "Mariko Kusumi"

Personally, I only use "Nami" in writing while I actually use "Mim" which came from "Mimi" (y'know cuz theres an izana-mi and an izana-gi. anywho) but I butchered it further bc I'm insane also the new nickname sounded more fun. I reserve "Izy" for Izanami-no-Mikoto, the being that split into two which became Mim and Marie.

As for the general scheme of my au, they,.,.,,.don't get a proper name until somewhere in the middle of the Arena plot (Episode Izanami, if you saw my pinned post). Yosuke gets tired of calling this guy "Seta's senpai" or "The Manager" or "Teddie's mom." And after being informed that they don't want to be called "Izanami," considering Marie's existence, he opens his mouth and then comes out disappointment his opinion, "so, Nami-san..." as casually as it goes.

They're stuck with "senpai," "friendly employee at the gas station in the shopping district," every iteration of "dumb idiot (bakabaka)," "mister attendant," "big bro's big bro" and whatever else the people can think about them. Not that people would actually ask for their name, haha that's so silly (or possibly taking advantage of their godlike power to manipulate one's cognition with fog where it never lets anyone think to ask about anything about their identity especially anything close to a name because names are a sign of intimacy no matter how little a fragment of knowledge it may seem but it's the first step to knowing someone so what if you skipped that step entirely certainly you wouldn't get anymore intimate than needed right you're only here for one (1) thing so don't mess it up by getting either party ATTACHED).

Just following the scheme that Mim finds no need for names, as I like to interpret. They never actually named the "Midnight Channel." They only mentioned the rumor about TVs turning on at midnight and the rest of the details, and it was the people themselves who called it "the midnight channel" after they started tossing it around Inaba. Along with the "TV World." As the deity governing the place, they know it well as "the sea of unconsciousness that exists within human hearts" and other iterations, along with describing Inaba's collective's unconscious as a "hollow forest" (Marie's tomb in Golden makes things unnecessarily complicated...so we'll put that aside). Even bringing up their npc dialogue in their attendant facade, they don't even say names. They don't even call Junes "Junes"--just "that mega-store" which I thought was funny (a fun fact, they never say "Moel" or whatever the hell eng loc had going on, they just said a colloquialized version of "welcome" in the original jp release like alright my first npc without a portrait greetin me to town be this fruity soundin gayboy vampire lookin ok i got it).

To be clear about how I write Mim's name calling habit and their general attitude around names in their facade, they avoid saying names but rather use titles or descriptive labels. Like "kiddo," "mister deliveryman" or "mister detective" if you've noticed.

That being said, in any post-p4 plot after they're revealed as something more than a gas station attendant, they're more obviously more than welcome to use people's names. But the fact they've grown into their facade to the point it's their own identity, I doubt they'd drop the silly labeling habit anytime soon. It's fun, and shows their own signs of intimacy by this point.

Penguin 

well he’s a lil chubby himself so i doubt he’s going to be in a position to throw any stones in this particular glass house. You could argue that batman looks the same since some men look really fat when its actually muscle. think rugby players, professional weight lifters (not body builders thats all for show) and maybe professional boxers? look at albert king in arkham knight. he’s chubby but he’s a brick wall! either way i dont think penguin will be treating him any different. batman can still punch his lights out and now with a bit of extra weight? he’s going to hit like a runaway train. 

TwoFace

Again, he doesnt spend much time looking at batmans ass while he’s running away from him. he might make some jokes about how batman weights if he landed on him for a take down, maybe joke like catwoman about needing a few more notches in his utility belt. To be honest, this whole quarantine isolation thing has him a bit down in the dumps. he’s probably just happy to see another human being, even if it is batman.  

Ivy

Shes teasing but not mean, like selina. shes loving quarantine life. nobody bothers her and she’s free to be with her plants all day long. she’s basically just chilling in the botanic gardens, since its closed due to not being an essential service. when batman shows up to check on her, she notices something is different but doesnt pin point it right away. but when he jumps down from the rafters and makes her glass herb gardens rattle she burst out laughing. again, shes not being mean, she just genuinely finds this hilarious that even the great batman has put on a few pounds in lock down. yes, she is loving the new look, softer around the edges and better for sitting on if he was under mind control

Scarecrow

i mean this in the nicest way possible but scarecrow literally does not give one tiny fuck. he’s gotten so much work done in lockdown without people bothering him, he’s soo deep in his research that he doesn't even notice batman approach. he does freak the fuck out , flinging vials of his new toxin 10 feet in the air in fright when he turns around and batman is standing there. the vials land far enough away that they aren't in any danger. still Stawman is pissed that batman just had to show up right then and scare the piss out of him. but he hasn't seen another human in like 3 months and since his research is ruined, he asks batman to stay for a few minutes. there's nothing technically illegal afoot in his lab right now, so why not see how crane is holding up? he sits in one of scarecrow old chairs that groans like a dying animal under his weight. scarecrow might raise an eyebrow but he’s not going to stay anything, not right now anyway. 

Riddler

oh thank GOD ! another human being! riddler is glad, actually fuckin glad to see batman. he’s been so BORED since lockdown started he actually contemplated kidnapping some people just so he’d have company. i made a joke once that you cant gag any riddler because they’ll just store it up and ramble more later. this is exactly what happens with batman when riddler spots him , he’s speaking so fast the flash would have trouble understanding him “Come in batman, sit down make yourself comfortable, not in that chair that’s a deathtrap ive been working on. have you put on a little weight? nevermind im sure you can work it off in my newest puzzle its very- wait where are you going?!” speaking of bat plushies , riddler absolutely has a batman plush on his desk that he likes to ramble at. when the real bats leaves he makes a mental note to put some more stuffing into plushie batman.

Harley

Harley hugs batman. i guess its ok, she might as well be part of his bubble for all the time they spend together. she notices right away hes put on a few but shes not one  to complain. makes him soft, its a nice change from jokers bones and refusal to give her even a head pat. Batman is a softie at heart, he cant bring himself to push her away. she’s mostly compliments about him looking soft and chubby and invites to stay with her or wont he please please please take her to the batcave shes so bored and she misses the robins, god help her she even misses the other rogues. she also misses going outside but technically a cave isnt outside so shes not breaking any rules and surely there must be enough room to be socially distant in a place that size.  batman disappears for a few hours, seemingly ignoring her request . he returns with plushies of all the rogues and batfam, and a special bat patterned facemask just for her. this earns him another not so socially distant hug with harley possibly not quite copping a feel of his new love handles and plump butt. 

this was very silly but an enjoyable write, thank you for the prompt nonnie! i must admit, im more like scarecrow than harley. i like being inside, but i worry im getting to use to it and if things return to normal (relatively speaking) i wont want to go back out again. 

i suppose that's a problem for future shep right?

Not to be rude but why complain about long periods between uploads only to still get mad now we’ve gotten actual confirmation of 2 new videos? I get being upset about having to wait for months, but if you’re genuinely so angry at Thomas that you can’t even be happy about getting more content, maybe you should take a break from the fandom? Again, no hate intended. I love what you're doing with this blog, I'm just confused with the mindset.

No you’re not being rude anon! Basically I’m just frustrated that 1) This new “not sanders sides” video is the first video were getting in ages instead of the actual sanders sides and 2) I’m not going to just be happy about a new episode because it came out. We still waited super long for it (too long in my opinion, but again, thats my opinion) and it would be nice for Thomas and team to recognize how long they made us wait instead of just joke about it and make it seem like its not really a big deal when it is.

If the next scripted video after this new episode comes out in a timely manner I will absolutely not complain! One of my main points of making this blog was to just hopefully spark the feeling in fanders that sometimes the waits we go through are a little too long and maybe they should be brought to Thomas’ attention instead of just ignored and pushed under the carpet.

And about why I stick around: I love sanders sides! I really think what Thomas and team are doing with the writing and stories in that series are super interesting and I love all of the characters so much. I may be frustrated with how they handle it, but it’s hard to step back when I’m so invested in and inspired by these characters, you know? And frankly the fandom’s the only think keeping the show alive rn, so I definitely dont wanna leave that!

Never feel like you need to explain yourself when sending in an ask, everyone is allowed to have their own opinions and I really enjoy seeing other people’s points of views expecially when they’re about me 😂 Thanks for sending this in nonnie 💛
