You know the trope where a villain kidnaps the hero's civilian identity, and then uses them to threaten the hero? How do you think that would go with Peter Parker?

Maybe it's because he's the only one able to get pictures of Spiderman, so they assume that Spiderman knows him and willingly poses for him. Or maybe it's just random bad luck.

How would everyone in the situation react to Spideman not showing up?

Personally, I don’t think any villains try it in any of my au’s, cause in my au’s, I usually have Peter really play up being a sleazy photographer to hide his heroic identity, and it works really well, so why would any villains use this photographer that Spiderman would obviously hate even if he hasn’t admitted it to get to him?

They’d only attempt that once, it was a fucked up scheme where they figured out where Spidey patrols, then kidnapped two people (one being Peter and one being MJ), and put Peter closer to the patrol area and MJ really far from it

And then they were like “you can either for sure save this guy because he’s at a distance you can actually reach, but it’s this creepy photographer that no one would miss. or you can attempt to save MJ, who the public really loves, but she’s at a much farther distance and there’s no guarantee you can reach her in time.”

It doesn’t work out and they never try again because a) when staying near Spidey’s route, they didn’t take into account how close they’d be to Hell’s Kitchen, and when it comes to Spiderman, Daredevil has no problem stepping out of his territory to help out, and b) they forgot that part of the public that really loves famed actress and model MJ includes the Fantastic Four

No one even saw Spiderman but everyone agrees that he just didn’t have time to react before other heroes stepped in (very important to me is that none of the 5 heroes who helped out have any idea that Peter is Spiderman and that he wasn’t going to be able to go out as Spiderman during that time)

Im so excited when I see the official logo and poster of The Fantastic 4 on Valentines Day. All the 60s vides, the cast reveal, and also H.E.R.B.I.E!!

Just in time when I release Doctor Doom previously, this will complete the Baxter Building in your Sims 4 world!

All of the suit is based on Marvel Future Fight model. The texture, the mesh, and now im working on 5 swatches for all 4 of them so it will give them more alternative looks. Stay tuned!!

Oh wait have I talked about my headcanon for the marvel time line involving vigilantes? Obviously this is all self indulgent headcanons and not involved in canon but anyways:

Technically speaking, all the mutants are first, but due to all the controversy and bias against them, people really don’t acknowledge them as being the first

Then Spidey is second, starting off as a teen in his homemade suit, but due to JJJ, he’s not even seen as a vigilante but as a menace

After that is the Fantastic Four, they’re very much in the public eye, so people start acknowledging those with powers, although it depends on how you define “vigilante”

Then after all that is when other vigilantes and established heroes come out of the woodwork

I just like it this way because I like the confusion it’d have with Spidey’s age and stuff, and because Johnny would try to establish himself as the “first” and it’d make Peter salty to no end, but also it makes sense to me for the mutants part about them always being first and people just not acknowledging them

(I didn’t include Captain America or the Black Panther as I definitely don’t think they count as “vigilantes” but rather superheroes in a legal sense)
