Skipping faire to go do a fire show at a wedding this weekend, so I thought I'd share some of my favorite sword themed posts from past faires :).

Typical trope of the woman being better at archery than the man but the woman is Merlin and the man is Arthur (and the Knights).

It’s probably a bet or Gwaine trying to flirt with Merlin, or maybe Leon worries about his safety to the point he makes him, but one of the Knights offer to teach Merlin to shoot. They figure he’ll be safe as you normally need some distance to shoot and doesn’t require too much strength. (in the instance of Knights, they tend to not realise that a bow string is very taught and hard to pull if you want to shoot well as they are already sturdy in muscle.)

Gwaine goes to hold onto Merlin’s me show him a proper form but Merlin just scoffs and shoos him away.

Arthur finds it hilarious that Merlin is so confident as he thinks it will be funny to watch him embarrass himself, until he watched Merlin pull the bow with more ease than even the most trained archer.

Cue them watching Merlin shoot every target with as close to perfection as one can get (without controlling the wind).

Putting the bow down and blushing despite his prideful grin, Merlin just shrugs at them as if he didn’t just blow all their minds, “We had survive somehow in the village.”

Gwaine cackles with glee while Leon debates for illy picking up Arthur’s jaw.

Annabeth: so how drunk was he?

Rhea: well... he asked me if I was single. I said no.

Piper, leaning forward: and then?

Rhea: Apollo started crying, so I felt bad.

Jason, who is HERE for the gossip: so what did you do?

Rhea: I reminded him I wasn't single because I was married to him.

Frank: so everything turned out fine, right?

Rhea: well... after I told him, he went to find our marriage certificate and tried to destroy it-

Hazel: why?

Rhea: saying "good luck returning me without the receipt!"

Clay x the other knights more like Clay x sleep

I have discovered what might just be the most unheard of character in the entire Dark Souls trilogy. I don't say this lightly lol.

Meet... Knight "Amerix" (騎士アメリクス), or rather Americus. And despite the name, she is a woman!

And this is not a name I pulled out of thin air, either. It was already mentioned on the Dark Souls wiki's trivia section for the Forest Hunter Knight... I checked and indeed, this name is actually used for Japanese wikis of Dark Souls, such as this one here [x]

Technically, there's two forest hunters who use this exact same base, but only one of them is named Americus, and it's the one that doesn't respawn... and she seems to specifically be the one that stands close to Pharis (who was confirmed to be the Forest Hunter by this same Japanese guide). And in fact, she also does not respawn after being defeated once!

Here's her without the helmet too, for good measure. She is cute.
