The Sandman crossover featuring Edwin and Hob being kidnapped and tortured together. Their friendship is really wholesome with eventual Father Figure and Found Family Feels for the whole agency and background Dreamling.

Payneland Right Person Wrong Time AU in which neither of them die but they still meet and become friends. The May/December friendship is sweet but tragic, with a bittersweet ending. Superb.

I also recommend Promised, in which they kind of play the Green card angle to keep Edwin out of Hell? Which honestly needs to be more of a trope. And Tight Quarters, starring the boys trapped in a magic circle, leading to Forced Proximity induced Feelings Realization (in more ways than one! 😉).

Something I Can Turn To by DontOffendTheBees

I love some domestic fluff, in this case as an Everyone's Alive/Childhood Friends AU in which the boys are poor but happy living together. I liked how they both survive their respective traumas, but Reality Ensues.

I also recommend Lived My Whole Life Before the First Light for a lovely but melancholy Soulmate AU that goes for the "seeing colours" trope for extra wistful angst.

Meeting the Parents fic in which Edwin's parents are awful and Charles is Not Having It. This has Everyone Thinks They're Dating and autistic Edwin stimming representation, plus discussions of racism, classism and ableism. The fic is also part of a great Modern AU series in which the boys attended St Hilarion's at the same time and Charles saved Edwin from a non-supernatural but still almost deadly prank. Highly recommended!

Listen, I can't get enough of undercover fake dating/relationships at a couples retreat, OK? Some minor angst but overall very cute and fluffy.

ACT 1, SCENE 3: blue lock headcanons

sae is into skincare: lotions, serums, the whole set. he and rin used to have self-care nights as children during which they would sit in bed with matching face masks and watch cartoons on the family tablet. if they were in a good mood, they would let you join.

barou listens to classical while working out. no joke. this man is so insanely focused he will shoot goals and play paganini at the same time. his work ethic is low-key why you were attracted to him the first place.

nagi is lazy to the point he will deliberately buy five pairs of the same exact pants just to save himself the trouble of having to choose an outfit in the morning. thank god for reo otherwise nagi would still be dressing like he just crawled out of bed. he still can't do much about his bedhead though.

rin desperately wanted to join sae in the deeper end of the community pool; however, he was deathly afraid of drowning. his only logical solution was to cover himself in pool floaties while he dipped a single toe into the water. even to this day, he still has traumatic memories of that experience. you need to hold his hand every time.

kaiser acts like his football prowess comes entirely from natural talent. in reality, he trains to an obsessive degree behind the scenes. you could come home at midnight, and he would still be there replaying every single highlight of his recent game. he is the type to keep detailed notes about all the players he went up against.

isagi likes to walk around his hometown of saitama and just observe the snapshots of life around him. whether it's a street vendor, children playing on a grass patch, or a couple in the sunset, he secretly enjoys these little vignettes of human experience. he would become sentimental when it comes to you. sometimes you have to pull his head out of the clouds.

nagi has parents who work overseas, so the most he sees of them is through video calls or holiday presents. occasionally, he also gets a birthday card shipped through international mail. when you threw him his first surprise party, he secretly felt touched because his family was never big on physical celebrations.

sae is ridiculously good at anything that involves data and calculations. he participated in a math competition one time in junior high, and he would have made it to the national level had he not been entirely focused on football. refused to tutor rin in algebra though because apparently his little brother has to figure out everything for himself. if it were you though, he would begrudgingly agree.

bachira holds the world record in procrastination. his notebook, pencil, and eraser are still as untouched and pristine as they were on the first day of the academic school year. he does not know what a book is, nor has he read one. he only studied because you refused to cuddle with him otherwise.

ego eats so many cups of instant ramen noodles that his glasses begin to fog up from time to time. anri has to clean the frames and lenses weekly just to make sure his myopic self can even see. at this point, she's the real MVP of the entire series.

barou likes to open the windows right after it rains because he enjoys the sweet smell of petrichor. his ideal day would be spent lounging on a couch with some tea and a novel. it would be even more perfect if you snuggled under the blankets with him.

niko sometimes wakes up in the middle of the night, immensely insecure about his forehead. he thinks it looks giant though it really isn't. you have to brush his fringe back and pepper kisses down his face and remind him that a big forehead means a big, sexy brain, so it really isn't that bad. he believes you and goes back to sleep.

shidou would make fun of boomers. in fact, he'd ridicule every single person he considers past their prime. he does not believe in any form of authority, nor does he like being told what to do. if he had his way, he would have turned the entire world into anarchy a long time ago. the only reason why he doesn't wake up and make himself everyone's problem is because he doesn't want to upset you.

kaiser knows he is very well-endowed physically, so he purposefully walks around your apartment shirtless. if he catches you eyeing him, he will make a big deal out of it. tries to not-so-subtly flex his biceps every time he reaches for the milk carton.

reo loves cocktail dresses, especially in the wine red shade. something about the accentuated figure and natural curves gives him goosebumps. his favorite part of you is when your tummy slightly protrudes after you've eaten too much. you might think it's embarrassing, but he thinks it's adorable.

rin only uses shower gel, mostly because he learned his lesson after using the locker room shower stalls. never use bar soap, always use bottled. he's also the type to always have shower shoes. sae taught him that.

bachira is the type of student to completely misread the question and still not feel bad after the teacher points it out. oh no, he was actually supposed to solve for x, not just circle it? he'll shrug it off like nothing ever happened. at least he tried. the teacher should be grateful for his effort.

sae says he does not understand the sentiments behind cute couple traditions but then proceeds to get upset when you show up to his game without wearing his jersey. would definitely get you matching bracelets for your anniversary.

aiku has a high spice tolerance. he would definitely drown his food either in sriracha or buldak sauce. if you can't handle spicy though, he would set aside a separate plate just for you and manually spoon out the food just to make sure you have something to eat too.

aryu never has dry cuticles. he is always trimming and filing to perfection. sometimes he has beef with your nail tech because he thinks he could have done so much better on your acrylics. refuses to let you go to a salon because he already has all the tools and expertise necessary.

sae does not know how to cook. his manager has always ordered take-out for him. the one time he tried to use a microwave, he completely misread the package instructions and nearly burned the entire building down. called you up with the straightest face afterwards to tell you that the smoke alarms were not shutting off.

barou unconsciously caves into peer pressure. every single new trend makes him rethink his personal style. however, he views it all with an old man mentality. like what are these youngsters doing these days? dying their hair every possible color of the rainbow? he has to do that too. proceeds to call aryu to add red streaks into his own hair. sometimes you have to remind him that external opinion should always taken with a grain of salt.

chigiri has a major sweet tooth. if you so much as bake him one single treat, he will have made plans to put a ring on your finger before he even finishes the damn pastry. his ideal partner is someone mature and understanding who can take care of him well. definitely likes the homemaker type.

gagamaru is the seeing friend in your relationship. no matter how many trips he makes to the optometrist, he will always come back with perfect 20/20 vision. definitely a nature enthusiast, and he loves hiking. even if you're blind as a bat, he will always be there to hold your hand in the dark.

"It's my turn to play with her." The long haired boy finished, moving the 2-year old (Y/n) out of their reach.

"Aryu, put her down. You know very well its my turn." Rin glared.

"Since when? You played with her for 2 hours yesterday, it's my turn." Barou interjected. (Y/n) kept silent as she focused her attention on Tokimitsu, who was playing peekaboo with her.

"I am here, and then I am not." The boy laughed as she clapped her hands while smiling.

"Shouldn't I be the one to play with her now?" Nagi looked up from his food.

"Play? You will probably fall asleep and forget she is there." Niko rolled his eyes.

"Aryu, we are teammates, so we should share the playtime-"

"No." The long haired boy said, glaring at Barou and Niko for even suggesting that.

Snuffy and Chris were laughing at their antics from a few tables away, while Noa was disciplining Kaiser and Isagi, who got into an argument.

"Where did Lavinho go?" Loki wondered, keeping an eye on Karasu and Rin, just in case they started an argument.

"Lavinho went to get Hayate and Miroku, we have to practice." Otoya grumbled, a little bummed that he can't take (Y/n) with him.

"I still think kidnapping-"

"No, Bachira." Snuffy cut him off.

"Shouldn't we give her something to eat before you play with her, Aryu?" Yukimiya suggested.

"Yep! I will go and ask Teieri-san if she knows where the baby food is." Hiori volunteered. Kurona said nothing as he showed his teeth to (Y/n) again, who was clapping and laughing at them. Meanwhile Gagamaru was patting her head a little.

"Don't destroy her glamorous hair." Aryu warned.

"Calm down, Aryu." Chigiri added from another table.

"It's really calm today with them." Chris commented to Snuffy.

"Let's hope it stays that way." Noa sighed as him and Loki approached their table.

"I feel like we don't have to worry about much today." Snuffy smiled, taking his glass of water.

While the coaches were talking, Hiori came back with the food and walked over to where (Y/n) and the rest were.

"Ah! You found it!" Isagi exclaimed as him and Kaiser approached the table.

"Great, I will feed her then." The blonde said, earning protests from the rest.

"You will drop her on her head." Rin rolled his eyes.

"Let me do it instead." Barou said.

"I will do it! I will do it!" Kurona's words were heard.

"I-I can do it too, you know." Tokimitsu said, trying to take (Y/n) out of Aryu's hold.

Kunigami rolled his eyes and looked at the child-sized manager for a moment.

"Just feed her. She is probably too hungry to care who does it, right?" Kunigami asked, smiling down at (Y/n). There was a short silence as the girl blinked up at Kunigami, and while watching them, Noa felt like a headache will hit him soon.

"Fuck..." The tiny girl said, causing the boys to either gasp or make a double take at her.

"What?!" Rin yelled.

"Fu...ck...." The girl looked at Rin, confused with his reaction.

"No! Bad word, (Y/n)!" Chris yelled, running over to the group as Snuffy started chocking on his water.

"I knew something would happen." Noa said as Loki tried to calm the Italian coach down.

"Give her to me." Chris said, taking (Y/n) out of Aryu's hold, looking at the girl like a heartbroken man.

"No, (Y/n)! Bad word! You can't say that!" Chris scolded her lightly.

"Fuck!" She repeated, laughing as Chris's face turned red in anger. Noa walked over to Chris and took (Y/n) out of his arms, knowing that he is about to blow up at the Blue Lock team.

"Fuck!" (Y/n) kept on repeating as Loki and Snuffy walked over to Noa.

"Shhhh!" Loki told her, shaking a little as he saw the pissed off look on Chris.

"Where did you learn that word now, little lady?" Snuffy raised his eyebrow, patting her head as Noa kept his attention on Chris.

"Hold it!" The Frenchman said, stopping the Welsh coach as he was about to yell.

"Th-thank you, Noa-san-" Reo started, but was cut off by the same man.

"No, not that. Snuffy, cover up her ears." The Italian caught onto what was going on and covered (Y/n)'s ears up. She blinked a few times and started giggling at him.

"Alright." Noa gave a nod of approval, ignoring the betrayed looks his team was sending him.

"You little brats!!! I will make you run 300 laps for this!!!" The blonde said, causing even the least emotional members to shake in fear.

"Karasu, Rin, what did you two do? Spit it out." Loki smiled at the two, who now started to stutter.

"We didn't do anything!" Karasu yelled, face paling from Loki's glare.

"I would never curse in front of her!" Rin added in.

"Don't yell, you two." Loki warned.

"S-sorry." The two stuttered.

"What about Tokimitsu?! Why are we the only ones accused of teaching her that?!" Karasu said, pointing at the nervous boy.

"M-me?! I swear I didn't do anything!" Tokimitsu said, looking at Loki. The French coach raised his eyebrow and looked back at Karasu.

"Seriously?"

"Niko, Aryu, Barou." The three Ubers members tensed up and looked at Snuffy, immediately aware of what was going on now.

"Hold on! I did nothing! I always keep my bad words to myself when (Y/n) is around!" Barou yelled at the coach.

"Cursing isn't glamorous, Snuffy-san." Aryu said, flipping his hair, earning a few claps from Tokimitsu.

"For legal reasons, I can't curse." Niko said simply as Snuffy massaged his temple. (Y/n) laughed at the man and stretched her arms out, demanding from the man to take her, which he ended up doing.

"See, this is why boys are stupid, little lady." Snuffy said slowly, sending side glares at the three boys.

"Isagi, Kunigami, Kaiser, Gagamaru, Yukimiya, Hiori, Kurona." The boys tensed and looked at the oddly calm Noa. The man was looking his normal calm and collected self, but his eyes shined in pure rage.

"We didn't do it!!" Isagi immediately protested.

"I never curse in front of (Y/n) when she is her normal age, why would I do it now?" Yukimiya added in.

"Me neither! I swear!" Hiori and Kunigami defended themselves, a little terrified of the older man.

While they were arguing, the door to the lunch room opened and inside walked Ness, Lavinho, and Lorenzo, looking at the chaos in confusion.

"What is going on?" Ness muttered, walking to the German team.

"Ome of your teammates taught (Y/n) how to curse." Noa said, earning protests from them.

"Or was it you, Ness?" The Frenchman glared at the magenta-eyed boy.

"No, I would never swear in front of a girl." Ness quickly added, a little worried. He never saw Noa this mad.

(Y/n) had now turned her attention to Lavinho and laughed, pointing at him.

"Fuck! Fuck!" She started, while pointing at the Brazilian. Chris was heard shrieking at that and Ness fainted from the shock.

"So it was you, Lavinho?!" Bachira and Otoya yelled, shocked that their own coach taught (Y/n) that word. The Brazilian chuckled a little, angering the coaches more.

"Well, she catches on quickly." He joked.

"Don't make jokes!"

"This isn't funny!"

"My poor child!"

Lavinho rolled his eyes at Noa, Loki, and Chris's words.

"Shut up!"

Snuffy sighed and called Lorenzo over.

hello, i remembered i made some subjective explanations and notes on few of my choices for this post, and i thought some folks might enjoy it. soo let's get into it.

1.

monty finch

author: anders krisár

pretty self-explanatory; it's a moulded male torso with visible inprints on its skin.

anders krisár’ artistry explores the themes of loss, separation, and the condition of the psyche through the lens of a human body in duality: perfectionism meets unsettlement, skin meets marble and bronze and polyester, to create sculptures spanning geological time far beyond the living's capabilities.

monty's creation by esther was already stripped of any human agency. "he was made a boy, not a person", small, almost doll-sized, with a singular purpose: to seduce and entice the chosen dead boy into their doom. the naked skin and specifically the position of its arms are mildly erotic, but in a way that makes your skin crawl. the imprints are intimate, placed possesive; notice the thumbs digging close to especially sensitive areas like nipples and the belly button.

the latter seems to connect the "creator" to the subject, the navel here as a symbol of cruel, invasive motherhood. the fact that the torso is cut off in the middle and at the neck furthers the uncanny valley feeling of a young male body, but then again. this is a realistic portrayal. so was it ever a person? what does it have inside to make dents so profound? how deep you can press until it breaks?

--- i'm leaving out crystal and edwin (for now?), but @nicheoverhere brilliantly noticed that it was the same author for both. that was intentional! because glen martin taylor is all about taking kintsugi, which is a beautiful art form of repairing fine china and generally delicate things with veins of precious metals, but with materials like— nails. scissors. barbed wire. all ugly. the repair after a great shattering is seldom pretty after all, they really are similar in this regard. ---

okay, strap in. this funky dreamy world belongs to robert hudson, and i picked it for charles rowland because it's all first impressions. the colours? the composition? they give you the 80s vibes, almost; like something a kid would design if you asked them what a time machine would look like. it could probably move in several ways. the pieces seem mismatched, but hold themselves together surprisingly well. or maybe you underestimate it?

it's neither big nor small. you can't tell its size at all. it's a bit overwhelming to look at, at first, and at second, and after a while, but it carries that comfortable familiarity and nostalgia for— well, nothing in particular, because the longer you look, the sadder its past seems. the bold pops of contrasting colour are fighting for your attention. they want you to like it! and yet, the major material seems to be just. rusted steel. made from tools.

and look at that botched up sphere, it wants so badly to be a perfect sphere and it knows it'll never be one. fine!! perhaps it could be a football ball instead! or maybe a head. if you close your eyes, that is. and this facing-up horseshoe? a lucky charm, made to collect good luck and keep it from falling out cause god, it needs it.

niko sasaki, now how do i describe her? let's start by saying— she's cleary a her. this one is a she. and there's something to be said about blooming, and femininity, and delicacy, because pink is a hopeful girly colour and a surprise and a delight.

what are you doing in a gallery, little flower, shouldn't you be at home? in a field? look how pretty you are! mind you, of course there's something wrong with her as well, but you're not sure if that is because someone messed it up, or because of a different entity alltogether. was it always half-electric? its elegance seems purposeful— the iridescent metal fits all too well with the white-pink petals— but also uncanny. and oh suddenly you can't stop looking at the stigma from which a pollen should release aaany time now.

when i look at her, at her black artificial stem and the small leaves imitating the real ones, i wonder if she doesn't want to lure me into a trap. is it her fault?

the beautiful petals seem like the only thing left real of the flower. whichever way she turns, it will probably mean— death. and flowers are ephemeral. what is a flower mounted to a wall, fortified with steel, connected with cables and enfused with electrical energy, then?

i think she's a self-preserving survivor. ---

of course it's the only piece in the collection where the background needed to be dark. no one here is older than her. there is no inoffensive, fading-into-background white for this absolute pillar of truth. or maybe something like a totem, quite protective in nature. and it's terrifying, 'cause you're immediately hit with the feeling that you're looking at something out of this realm, something you're not supposed to witness. the perspective is all wrong. is it downwards or upwards? why does it seem unstable when the pieces are so perfectly centered and seemingly well-balanced? child, you should calm down, it's not like you will destroy it with a stronger puff of air. will you?

this sculpture is called "tipping point — echoes of extinction", and it's actually a mix of technology and sculpture and sound, with elegant visualizations of the lost voices of birds and sea mammals. the author said it "was conceived in reverence to the astounding lives the species which envelop humans have lived and the mysterious ways they have contributed to our well-being. the shadows of their memory, whether a shape or a sound, have inspired this project." so the piece deals with death. moreover, it deals with murder. it records the harsh reality and makes sure the ones that suffered horribly at the hands of humans are, in a way, celebrated. but also— categorised. like epitaphs. the birdsong, once a living sign, is only visually represented by the lines of varying lenghts in 3D, and you can do nothing about it anymore, right, you can't bring back the dead, you can't help the innocent dying in any way other than— stacking them on top of each other and moving on.

Unsure if this is a theory at this point; but it is HEAVILY suggested that both Rue and Cedric are robots as well, just like Proto. Pretty sure it's also confirmed by Nightmargin herself, in somewhere! I just forgor

I do, however, have another theory. Based in this interaction :

Since the entire world is just a simulation, is EVERYONE there technically is a robot?

Are Proto, Cedric and Rue specifically robots because they are The Author's children?

It's hard to say a certain thing because first of all we have no idea what exactly makes a robot, well, 'robot', in the universe of OneShot.

A robot is an entity with computing power, specifically designed to do a certain task. We see nurse robots, rowbots, guardian robots etc. in the game. All of them surely are robots, but they have different missions and are built for different tasks.

However, just like other people, robots are NPCs. NPCs in OneShot are basically simulated people, and are not real. Well, they WERE real in the Old World. Now it's not really them but their digital version of themselves, built by complex coding from The Author that 'lives' inside of The World Machine's simulation.

Imagine the Earth we know today is about to be destroyed tomorrow. In horror, scientists somehow figure out how to turn you into a code to simulate yourself in a computer. Forever, perhaps. It's still you with your emotions, habits, thoughts and stuff! It's just that you are not real anymore, but just powered by electricity inside of a computer. You just dont know it.

This of course creates something.. rather interesting.

What is real? What isn't?

WELL WE HAVE NO IDEA BOUT THAT IRL. In the universe of OneShot though; anyone that is living in this simulated environment is an NPC. NPCs don't remember anything when you reset the game for Solstice run, because they are a part of the simulation. They ARE the simulation. And when you reset the game, so the simulation is formatted. No one remembers Niko and anything.

Niko is the messiah because they are a real person. They do not belong this simulation, they have their own world and life. They came to this simulated environment from somewhere else; they never belonged here and they were never a part of the Old World.

This is the difference between real people and NPCs in OneShot, basically. I hope??

Now, one has to ask. The Author has left the world in his 'own terms'. He is probably alive though. But, what about their children? Why are they.. seperated?

I don't think we have any official explanation. A thing I found is apparently Author, Cedric, Rue and Proto all lived in the Real World. So, they existed there. Pay attention to this because it will be... relevant.

Rue, Cedric and Proto are The Author's children. Altho, the wiki sometimes say 'creations' which I am very unsure. In any way, they lived together. They all do call him their "Father". It may not be the word 'father' we think, but maybe a creator too.

Now, this makes me wonder. The Author left, but why their children remains in the simulation? Maybe an accident happened?

Here is a very super weird fact.

Because technically they are bound to the simulation, all three siblings are considered as NPCs.

Are they.. NPCs? If i remember correctly, Proto said that they themselves arent regular NPCs. He even knows what NPC is, and why they dont remember anything.

So...? Why three of them are special in this way? Maybe Author just made them so. Everyone else is from the Real World too, but the three siblings are somehow special in a matter.

So! The siblings are robots but arent just NPCs.

But. Then, what the fuck??

WERE THEY ALWAYS ROBOTS OR LIKE?? Why other people arent robots, but Cedric and Rue are?? They do NOT look like robots!

According to the game files ITSELF, Rue is the ONLY ONE that does NOT have NPC tag.

This could mean two things. Lets see.

This is only a technical game thing. Rue does not have a NPC tag, because she is the only one that meets you before Solstice. She then remembers and knows you in Solstice. Proto and Cedric are not met before Solstice, thus they technically count as NPCs in not lore but technical game way. In short : Because Rue is the only one that remembers you afterwards, the devs themselves could removed the NPC tag to note themselves that Rue is different. Maybe thats how game code works too? Maybe if you give a NPC tag to a character, it means the character will be resetted after the save file gimmick is deleted. Rue not having an NPC tag could maaybe mean she is supposed to be not affected by a reset, and remembers, so has special interactions

Tbh, both seem... weak? First of all I dont think the devs simply forgor the name tag for Rue. As a dev NAMING files and confirming everything, that doesnt seem normal. Maybe they really did forgot?? But it could easily be changed by an update or something afterwards?

Another thing is : its just a name in her spritesheets. A name of a spritesheet surely can change some stuff in game engine specifically, but um. I am very unsure.

Your confident words comes to bite you in the ass the next morning. While you had told him that in uttermost faith in yourself, a gasp of terror left your mouth as the video on his phone plays for a second time.

It starts of normally, Niko whispering into the camera. “It’s currently 2 am and my girlfriend’s lost her mind.” A little giggle follows his words.

The camera turns to you, moving around in the bed. He just continues to giggle as he makes sure to catch your every move. Just as the phone is about to turn back to him, you abruptly sit up. A scared noise is heard from Niko as you take both your hands, wrapping them around the end of the hoodie you had worn to sleep, and start tugging it off.

“What the fuck.” Your boyfriend freaks out, eyes moving from your closed eyes and to your movement. He’s afraid the clothing item will get stuck, but you pull it off professionally. It makes him wonder how many times you’d done this before. What makes him really worried is the fact that your eyes remain closed, and you lay back down, snoring.

Looking up from the device, you embarrassingly shake your head, but your boyfriend just smiles.

“I still love you, don’t worry.”

I was reading a queer book that was talking about the "girl with gay best friend" trope, and they were saying that the gay best friend in the trope is basically a side kick. And in the author's story, they wanted the gay guy to be the main character.

I really like dead boy detectives because it does have a gay main character, one who is truly a protagonist, and he has a real, not at all superficial friendship with Niko. It feels like it's lyin gin the face of that trope. And dbda doesn't fall into the trap of making Niko a side kick either. She saves the day so many times, and is a real and full character.

Every time I think about their friendship, I love it more.

My latest hyperfixation is Dead Boy Detectives, so oc I've been reading and commenting on a ton of fic. And it's been really nice because the response of the authors has been so warm. I don't think I've ever gotten so many replies so quickly! Also, the fandom has inspired me to actually start writing again for the first time in two years and I've got a great idea for a fanvid. (Any tips on how to make one would be appreciated! 😅)

Edwin learns to cuddle. It's a production and completely adorable. I love a fic that explores the difference between the boys' physicality and this one's really on point. The writing and characterisation are great and it's nice to see Edwin taking care of Charles.

I also recommend Lanterns In the Dark, which sets the scene for Charles and Edwin's first meeting with some gut-wrenching details about Charles' homelife and Edwin's escape from Hell.

When I Was a Young Boy by flowerbritts

A Good Omens crossover and AU in which Aziraphale is Edwin's adopted father. Family reunions and revelations abound. Also, Edwin gets to be a teenager and slam doors while shouting, as he deserves.

The author has also written Wait, I'm Coming Too, which is a very sweet post canon 'Charles Worries About Edwin and Realises His Feelings' fic inspired by that 'Edwin reading Heartstopper' fanart. Both fics deserve more love!

Interesting demon!Edwin AU. Charles is a precious cupcake in this fic and Edwin is mostly the same with some Darker moments. I loved the concept and the author adds in some great, creepy details.

Edwin explores his sexuality and re-negotiates his relationship with Charles. Meanwhile, the gang take on the case of a ghost who wants them to matchmake his still-living lover. Crosses over with The Sandman. And Edwin gets to be confident and flirty as a treat.

〖Rin Itoshi〗

Rin's kisses are always so telling of how he truly feels since he really sucks at expressing himself through words or expressions.

Passionate, and so desperate and clingy that even oblivious could tell. They're always so long and intimate that your lips are left swollen by the time he pulls away.

Sometimes, it seems like he's about to swallow you—interlocking his lips with yours, pushing your body against the wall to trap you in his arms, making sure the only thing you could think and feel are his lips.

He has this certain look in his eyes that's so... Loving, but nervous. Rin doesn't show it, but he's hoping he's not being too much for you, and that you won't leave him so soon.

Quietly, he'd ask if he was overwhelming you, his forehead pressed against yours as he watches your chest rise and fall in sync with your pants. He'd appreciate it if you admit if you were, but he'd gladly reclaim your lips if you tell him too, eyes brighter than before.

His hands would be all over you. First, he'd gently grab your chin to look up at him, kiss you, and his hand would caress your jawline, trailing down to your neck and collarbones, before it finds itself tracing the curve of our spine, up and down, then engulfing you in a tight hug, never letting go.

Kisses are usually private, he's not that affectionate in public. But once you've stepped inside your shared home, he's going to kiss and hold you 'till you tell him to stop.

But he sometimes couldn't help but press a kiss on your cute face when you're outside. Perhaps he saw someone staring at you longer than he liked, so he'd give your temple a small kiss, or your lips, for the apple of your cheek.

You're too good to be left unkissed. Plus, his lips would feel lonely if he doesn't kiss you for too long.

〖Sae Itoshi〗

Sae, on the other hand, is a more soft and gentle kisser, much to your surprise.

It's usually playful and light, his main goal is to see you brighten up with a huge grin on your face, an expression he has grown to adore so much it just warms up his heart.

Sae could still take your breath away, similar to Rin's HCs, but he just wants to take things easy with you, because being with you just feels right. Comforting, relaxing. A little bit of his safe haven.

He feels no pressure when you're around, you don't call him a prodigy, or remind him anything soccer related unless he wants to talk about it; you just see him for who he is, Sae Itoshi, even though he's not so sure what you see past all his achievements in soccer.

His kisses are full of emotions, despite it being fleeting and short. Appreciative, loving, yearning, and more—he always makes up his kisses being short by giving you lots and lots, letting his lips reach every inch of your skin.

Sae would wrap his arms around you and pepper soft, feather-light kisses all over your face repeatedly, wanting to hear your giggles and smile at him. He absolutely loves it when you cup his cheeks in your hands to keep him still, then kiss him so adoringly on his lips.

Always have trouble pulling away after that. When you initiate kisses, it's a whole different story.

Rake your nails through his hair and onto his scalp, and he'll melt on your body like putty and sigh contently, leaning against your touch like a cat begging for more pets.

He's so gentle and loving, it's so clear that he adores you more than everyone else. You're one of the only people who deserve a place in his heart, and thus reveal this cute, loving, soft side Sae Itoshi hides.

〖Seishiro Nagi〗

Nagi's kisses are—well, lazy, in a sense. Not in a negative way! It's actually quite endearing in your eyes, despite his lack of energy or enthusiasm regarding kissing.

Don't be fooled! This overgrown baby loves having his lips against your skin, he adores the way his lips tingle when it makes contact or the way you'd be grinning at him when he pulls away, it's just his nature to be so laidback, unlike the rest of the boys here. You can see in his eyes that he's eager to give you many kisses.

He can be so unintentionally very romantic with his kisses. While they're usually sloppy, messy, and sometimes ticklish, he'd do something unexpected (in your books) first before kissing you on the lips.

Because you expect him to just dip his head and press a kiss on you—he does that too often. So it catches you off guard when he suddenly stares at you from where he lies, eyes locked onto your face. Or he'd gently grab your waist, pull you close to him and bring you down onto his bed, wrapping his big arms around your torso and burying his head onto your neck. Or he'd press his palm at the back of your neck, caressing the skin.

And then he'd press a kiss on your lips, and they always feel so lazy—in a good way. Akin to the kisses you always share when you awake from your slumber, the first thing that comes to mind is to reach for your lover and kiss them.

When he's laying down on your lap, but wants to kiss you on the face so badly, he'd pout since he's too lazy to get up to properly kiss you. So he'd settle with your hands, taking them into his' and lovingly caressing your palm, playing with your fingers, before pressing his lips against your hand, the texture of your skin makes his cheeks buzz in delight.

Nagi licks his lips after he kisses you, eyes bright and smiling softly, as if he just tasted the sweetest candy.

〖Yoichi Isagi〗

Isagi's kisses remind you of those corny and cliche romance movies and TV shows you once watched together before. You can't help but laugh at how much of a cute dork your boyfriend is.

While inexperienced, and not the best of kissers, his enthusiasm and meaningful intentions make up for it. A kiss to wish you luck on whatever you have to do, a kiss for small celebrations like getting a high score on your tests, a kiss hello, a kiss goodbye—Isagi never misses any given chance to press his lips against yours.

He'd be restless throughout the whole day if he doesn't get a kiss from you, and while he doesn't let it bother his performance, off the field? Everyone could tell there was something off with him.

Isagi would take your hands in his', stare deeply into your eyes with nothing but utter devotion for you, and let out everything he's been holding back saying the whole day. He'd voice his love for you, his gratefulness, how gorgeous you are, and how lucky he is for having you as his lover.

Oh, his words always make you weaker for him, especially with the lovesick expression on his face. It's so cheesy, his words were similar to the ones you've heard from romance shows, but when it comes from him? They sound like music to your ears, your heart thrumming hard and your cheeks flushed.

He's so honest, not a trace of a lie in his words, only the truth. And the truth is that he loves you with all his being, and he hopes you'd indulge him in with as many kisses as he needs from you.

And how can you ever say no to Isagi? With his wide, sparkling eyes and the cute crease between his brows as he furrows them. You could only sigh before you let him devour your lips.

From there and then, he'd be kissing you so hard that you'd be dizzy afterward. You have to snap him out of it before he gets too greedy. Too greedy that he'd ignore both of your need for oxygen and keep your lips locked together, his hand at the back of your head and tilting his' to the side to deepen the kiss.

How cute he truly is, he'd always apologize when he pulls away and sees your eyes all hazy and your body practically leaning against him for support, knees too weak. His excuse was always the same, he got too into it and that your lips felt too good.

You roll your eyes and scoff, before grabbing his collar and kissing him again.

Welcome to my Shadowhunter Chronicles and Dead Boy Detectives blog, a place where I cause shenanigans and post fanfiction!

I REALLY like TID/TMI/TEC and the content associated with them, but above all else I am a TLH enthusiast. Chain of Gold, Chain of Iron, and (especially) Chain of Thorns are my favourite books. I also love the TLH-related short stories and bonus content.

I'm a fan of the DBDA Netflix show. I like the comics as well, but I'm primarily a fan of the Netflix program. Huge Payneland shipper over here, and my favourite characters are Edwin, Charles, and Niko. The Cat King also lives in my mind rent-free, though, which is a lot of fun. But honestly, I love every character in the show.

My favourite TSC characters are Matthew (my beloved my bestie my very life), Alastair, Thomas, and Cordelia. The TSC ships that live rent-free in my head are Thomastair and Herondaisy. These characters and ships, along with Payneland, are mainly what I write fic about!

"Hmmm I wonder who will get which jersey number." Bachira hummed to himself as the team was resting the their room. Nagi looked away from his phone and thought it over for a moment, then shrugged his shoulders.

"Whichever we get will be fine. The most important part is that we can play soon." The white haired boy said back. Chigiri was fast asleep on his futon and Isagi used the opportunity to cover him up with one of the blankets. Hiori nodded his head as Niko and Gagamaru were chatting with each other next to him.

"Besides, I am really excited to be able to play against a team like the U-20. It will just show how much we improved as players."

"Yeah, I can't wait for to see their defeated looks. That old man from the JFU will eat up his words in a few weeks."

"What do you mean, Baro?" Yukimiya asked, looking at the tall boy.

"Yeah? What did he even say?"

"How this is all a waste of money and that Ego-san will be out of job the moment Japan's star players defeat us. He said that we will be out of opportunities to play at the World Cup."

"Where did you hear that?" Rin blinked, getting a little heated by those words.

"I heard (Y/n) and Teieri-san talk about it a few days ago. (Y/n) sounded pretty upset at some points."

"Was she? Well imagine how upset that old geezer will be is 'accidentally' a ball was to hits him in the face." Reo said in a cold tone, looking between Isagi and Nagi, who seemed to get the message.

"Yeah, by accident... imagine how badly he will be hurt."

"So hurt that he might think twice on opening his mouth." Isagi and Nagi said, already agreeing on a plan with the purple-haired boy.

"Where are Karasu and Otoya anyways? It's close to our bedtime." Gagamaru suddenly spoke up, noticing the duo missing.

"They are still eating since they had to do some extra laps for joking and messing around." Kurona answered.

"And Aryu?"

"You know je stays behind for (Y/n) to braid his hair... Lucky bastard, I wish I had long hair." Isagi said, prompting the others to nod their heads.

"No way, it would look much better on me."

"Shut up Karasu, you don't have the grace to carry that number. I on the other hand..."

"You are both wrong, the number would look way better on me."

The rest of the group, minus Chigiri, looked at Karasu, Aryu and Otoya as they walked inside, wondering what they could be arguing about now.

"What happened?" Rin asked calmly.

"We were talking about our jersey numbers we will be receiving in a few days." Otoya answered, annoyed with his two friends.

"What a coincidence! I am not the only one who is curious." Bachira exclaimed.

"Well, I have been telling my wonderful friends..." Karasu said sarcastically as he pointed at Aryu and Otoya.

"That I should be the one to carry the number 4."

"And gave no justification on why."

"Neither did you, Aryu!"

"My looks are enough of a justification!"

"Wait! Why the number 4?" Niko wondered.

"Well, (Y/n)'s birthday is on February 4th, it would be so cute for me to wear her number." Otoya said calmly as the other two kept on arguing.

"You all are being stupid." Reo said.

"He is right... I should be the one with the number 4." Nagi added, earning a glare from his friend.

"Nagi you backstabber! That number is mine!"

"Hold up! I want the number 4!" Gagamaru suddenly added.

"Sorry to disappoint you, but goalkeepers usually get the number 1... I as a captain should get that privilege." Rin said, pointing at himself.

"No! Me, I am the ace of Blue Lock, and (Y/n) gets along way better with me!" Isagi protested as Baro sent them both a glare.

"I think I have more rights to that number than any of you, I am a way stronger player."

"Well, I am smarter. The number should be mine."

The room soon turned into a arguing mess and out of curiosity what it was about, Ego turned on one of his cameras. And boy did he regret that decision.

'I hate kids.' He rubbed his face.

During the whole ordeal Chigiri was asleep, too tired from the training.

A  few days passed and the team excitedly too the jerseys (Y/n) and Anri had brought them. The two looked on in confusion as their excited expressions turned into sour ones.

"Is everything alright?"

"Yeah, you guys look like someone kicked a puppy. Are the uniforms bad?" Anri and (Y/n) wondered as the boys shook their heads, saying how it was nothing.

"It fits perfectly. The blue shade is nice too." The team looked at Chigiri, who had put his shirt already on, and it felt like a ton of ice fell on the room as they saw the number on his jersey.

'Why did he get the number 4?!'

'Not the princess beating me to it!'

'Blatant favoritism on Ego's part!'

The team thought, forcefully smiling at Chigiri, who was unaware of the fight from a few nights ago.

"They are weird today... well, weirder than usually." Anri whispered to (Y/n), who nodded her head in agreement.

"Maybe pre-game fever?"

ONESHOT LOREDUMP, HUGE SPOILERS AHEAD

One of the things I love and hate Oneshot for, is how small our knowledge about it's world actually is, and how much place for discussion and speculation we have. Which is why I also look forward to The Margin of the Strange (I'm gonna use MotS for short) so much.

I am not the first person to bring up the theory about MotS and Oneshot existing in one multiverse, like this one, which is the strongest evidence we have to back up this theory (for now)

I am saying "for now" since we can't know for sure, and since MotS community has found an ARG on the official site. (Shout out to Margin of Error on YT) And though I do not know if it's been solved, this may give us more lore info and maybe some signs that it IS a part of the same multiverse the world of Oneshot takes place in, but it's now its just a speculation.

Tho if MotS WILL be a part of that multiverse it could give us an incredible amount of information we didn't happen to know about before regarding the Real world Oneshot originates from. Like for example why do worlds die? Is it a common event in the multiverse? How does the process of the world dying looks like and is it similar for all of the worlds? Is there any kind of system of balance, where if one world dies, the other ones can be affected by it as well, like some kind of a domino effect? What's the space BETWEEN the worlds? Void? Right now we cannot answer any of these, and it would be really nice if MotS could maybe give us at least some information about it, since from what we can see, in Ling's world the whole topic of researching about another worlds and the multiverse itself is a much larger and more important part of the game then it was in Oneshot, where we pretty much saw nothing except Author's notes, George and some info the solstice trio gave us.

These are just the topics i would've loved the fandom to talk about more. As if for my own thoughts: the process of the world dying is probably a common thing in the multiverse (at least i would think so, that's more of a headcanon since we don't have anything on this topic AT ALL). But it's genuinely scary to think about how the dying world looks like. I would speculate that it's pretty much a cold weather that gets even colder as the time goes on (since the sun is dead), lack of clouds or snow(for the same reason) and lack of food like fruits, vegetables or plants in general, if they weren't able to adapt to cold temperatures and dry air (which I'm sure most plants wouldn't adapt to). That's just something i imagine when i think of the process of the real world dying based of of information we're given. We can also see that a lot of Oneshot characters who we see outside DO wear warm clothes, scarfs, coats, ect. (Lamplighter, Cedric or even Niko themselves) Or have feathers/fur can help to warm up (yeah I'm talking abt glenfolks and Rue). Even Author himself is seen wearing a warm jacket, scarf and a hat in every official art we've seen. But this all can be explained as just design elements and not actually mean anything, but it's still a funny thing I've noticed.

CEDRIC

OHHHHH THIS IS THE SECOND HUGE PART OF THE POST. BECAUSE I HAVE A LOT TO SAY ABOUT THIS GUY.

Despite the fandom pretty much pushing this character aside compared to the rest of the Solstice trio, which upsets me a lot not only because I've had a literal hyperfixation on this guy for nearly 8 months, but also because he's literally one of the most interesting characters in the whole game. He's literally THE SON OF THE AUTHOR, ONE OF THE CHARACTERS THAT WE DON'T KNOW SH- ABOUT. THE CREATOR OF THE TWM. GUYS, I MEAN-

We also do NOT know about his origin, but I am personally heavily leaning towards the "Cedric is a robot" theory, not only because of one dialogue that we all know about (the one where Cedric and Rue answer Niko's question abot how it is to be a robot), and that one tweet Night made that "Cedric technically counts" while talking about cute anime tobot boys, but also because of the lack of his mother-

Okay-okay, I know it sounds weird, BUT. We literally have ZERO mentions of Cedric's hypothetical mother/Author's wife, which I highly doubt could've been a case if she DID exsist at all, because of how Cedric refers to The Author a lot, and because of the fact that i think that if Cedric's mom DID exist, Author would've tried to save her in the simulation, or at least would've mentioned her at least once in any of his notes, even if she was dead. So this all makes me think that Cedric did NOT have a mom at all, and has.

Also, as we know, Cedric is pretty fckn young, not much older then Proto, which mean that the world was already decaying by the time Ced came to life (born or made, I'll use the word made since I'm assuming he's a robot). This makes me ask a question: Why was he made? Author couldn't just waste time on something like this while he was working on TWM and trying to save the dying world? So that makes me think that Cedric, just like Proto, was made with a purpose. We do now what it is, maybe it's operating the flying machine, maybe Author already made a backup plan that later became the solstice route, or maybe Author created Cedric as someone who would in the the future continue his own research on the multiverse in the simulation. We don't know.

But here's a problem with this theory: we clearly have a picture of Cedric, where he's seen as a child.

This. This can either be explained as Cedric having two or three different versions of the body (kinda like Proto being the first design for Prophet bot), but adjusted to imitate him "growing up" OR an indicator of Cedric not being a robot/not completely being a robot. Sadly we do not have any information to back up either the first or the second theory. Tho I saw a third one about Cedric dying at some point in live and being revived as a robot, this is a pure speculation since again, lack of information, tho there was a mention of Cedric previously crashing into a wall on a flying machine and in my mind, i have no idea how the hell did he survive, if he didn't jump off in time (and we know he has a parachute lmao). Tho i also do not know when it could even happen. Maybe in the real world or the previous iterations of The World Machine.

Cedric truly fascinates me as a character. We know so little about him and his and his siblings past life. He seems to have such a traumatic and heavy past, he's a literal TEEN who's a part of a master plan and one of the few on who's shoulder there's a literal fate of the digital remainings of his homeworld and his own life. His father just DISAPPEARED and we still have no idea where and how Author is, in what state he is. A ghost? A spirit? A God just like us? Or is he in the Void somewhere and that's why he can't see what ACTUALLY happens in the world, tho he can feel what's happening? Or maybe he's in the core of The World Machine, since it needs a living soul inside of it to operate? So many questions, so many theories, yet they're pretty much left out in the fandom.
