800th Post: A Reflection on Increments*

Some jobs offer increments. This one offered--well, quite the reverse, but at least it was in the warm and fairly easy to get the hang of. After a while he got into the rhythm of it, and started playing the private little quantity-surveying game that everyone plays in these circumstances. Fragmented AU -- Altered Timeline Shenanginans

I've been reminded of such a thing by Steven Universe. Because of the presence of the Gems, there are changes to Earth's layout.

Seriously, what happened to Russia? Because I doubt it's due to continental shifts. Did a meteor hit it or something?

I'm not saying that the overall geographical layout has changed as drastically like in SU canon, even with the presence of Fragmented AU Gems. It's pretty much the same as real life, if maybe a few changes that are not worth mentioning at the moment.

I'm just using this as an example.

I absolutely love the aesthetic of the cyberpunk genre (neon lighting *especially at night* and the awesome tech... blame me for playing Cyberpunk 2077 lol). Annnd no, Fragmented is not 100% like Cyberpunk. The whole cyberware thing isn't as advanced as Cyberpunk. Granted Cyberpunk 2077 takes place in...2077. Not sure of how tech was in, say 2013.

Still, like 98 percent of the human population doesn't have those slots for updates or whatever. What I'm trying to say is body modifications aren't a regular occurence.

So there are tech that are more advanced than real life thanks to the presence of Fragmented's version of Gems, Fiddleford, and two organizations.

As for tech in Roadkill County:

Gravity Falls and Aurora Valley just look as normal as any ordinary town/farming community, if not possessing a few cyberpunky/preppy aesthetics that doesn't take away the splendor and mystery of small towns in woods.

Crystal Springs is a little more cyberpunky (more like cyberpreppy, if I'm being honest) compared to Gravity Falls and Aurora Valley.

For anyone curious, Cyberpunk is more of a dystopia (hi-tech, low-life). Cyberprep, on the other hand, leans more towards a utopian direction. Checkout the Aesthetics Wiki

Stella Heights, however, could be seen as Fragmented's Night City. It's the only proper city in Roadkill County. Not only that, but Fragmented's version of Homeworld is, essentially, a cyberpunk world of sorts.

And you know damn sure that Ford has been to several worlds with advanced tech.

I'm sure some would wonder how this would work for a show like Gravity Falls. Well, look no further than Shadowrun. Like Cyberpunk, Shadowrun is a tabletop role-playing game that contains cyberpunk elements. Where it differs from Cyberpunk is the genre being combined with urban fantasy and sometimes conspiracy, horror, and mystery.

Basically, Cyberpunk meets Weird Fiction.

So...why not?

This is so beautiful! Everywhere we look, the beauty of God's Creation is on show. How could anyone not believe in an Almighty, Awesome God when the Universe itself proclaims His power and glory? And in believing, not trust that the Creator of all this complexity and beauty can sort out our problems in a moment, if we pray in faith. The more you trust God, the more He will amaze you. Amen! 🙌

The Prophet Muhammed in the Bible, Torah and Psalms: The Proofs of the Prophethood of Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) in the Distorted Psalms.

The Psalms, which is the second one of the divine books, is mentioned in three different verses of the glorious Qur’an. These verses are as follows:

“We have sent thee inspiration as We sent it to Noah and the Messengers after him; We sent inspiration to Abraham, Ismail, Isaac, Jacob, and the Tribes to Jesus, Job, Jonah, Aaron, and Solomon, and to David, We gave the Psalms.” (An-Nisa, 4/163)

“And it is your Lord that knoweth best all beings that are in the heavens and on earth: We did bestow on some Prophets more (and other) gifts than on others: and We gave to David (the gift of) the Psalms.” (Al-Isra, 17/55)

“Before this We wrote in the Psalms, after the Message (given to Moses): My servants, the Righteous shall inherit the earth.” (Al-Anbiya, 21/105)

The first two of these verses inform that the Psalms, which is one of the four of divine books, was given to David (AS) and the third verse informs that Psalms was sent after the Torah…

Now, we are going to look at the parts of the Psalms, where there are signs for the prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

1. “You are the most excellent of the sons of men. Grace has anointed your lips, therefore God has blessed you forever. Strap your sword on your thigh, mighty one: your splendor and your majesty. In your majesty ride on victoriously on behalf of truth, humility, and righteousness. Let your right hand display awesome deeds. Your arrows are sharp. The nations fall under you, with arrows in the heart of the king’s enemies. Your throne, God, is forever and ever. A scepter of equity is the scepter of your kingdom. You have loved righteousness, and hated wickedness. Therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness above your fellows…” (The Psalms, 45:2-7)

Now, let us see how these expressions of Psalms explicitly refer to the prophet Muhammad (PBUH):

a. “You are the most excellent of the sons of men…”

The apparent beauties of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) that assembled on his blessed body and which also point to his esoteric beauties do not exist in anyone. Furthermore, Imam Qurtubi relates that the beauty of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) did not appear completely. If his apparent beauty had completely been visible, the Companions could not have had the strength to look at him. (1)

Jabir bin Samura (RA) narrates; “I saw the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), who was the sun of the universe in a moonlit night. He was wearing a red mantle. I began to look at his shining face and the moon to decide which one has more beauty. I swear by God that the holiness face of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), who was near me, was more beautiful than the moon.” (2)

Hz. Aisha (RA) describes the beauty of the prophet (PBUH) with the following words: The women who saw the beauty of Hz. Joseph (AS) cut their fingers by losing themselves; if they had seen the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), they would have cut their arms.”

b. “Strap your sword on your thigh…”

The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) says the following in one of his Hadiths: “I have been sent with sword in a period close to doomsday…” (3) This verse of Psalms also shows that the Prophet who will come is called “Sahib as-Saif”; that is, he will be the owner of sword and responsible for jihad. And his ummah is also called Sahib as-Saif; that is, they will be responsible for jihad. This news of Psalms can be seen in the Prophet’s life (PBUH) and in his community in the strict sense.

c. “On behalf of truth, humility, and righteousness. Let your right hand display awesome deeds.”

This sentence of Psalms also mentions about the justice of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). In fact, the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was the most judicious one of humanity. The following  is narrated: A woman from Mahzumi tribe committed a theft. Quraishis did not want this woman, who came from an honorable tribe to be punished. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) loved Usama bin Zayd very much. They knew that the prophet would not hurt his feelings. For this reason, they requested the prophet not to punish this woman by putting Usama as an intermediary. The prophet (PBUH) said to Usama as follows:

“The sons of Israelites were destroyed just because they took sides. They used to punish the poor very severely but they did not punish the rich and influential ones. I swear by God that if my own daughter Fatima committed this crime, I would punish her in the same way.” (4)

The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) did not make any religious discrimination when he made legal decisions. If a Jew was the rightful side, He gave the Jew His due by taking it from the Muslim. Sirah books are full of stories about the Prophet’s unique justice.

c. “Your arrows are sharp. The nations fall under you, with arrows in the heart of the king’s enemies…”

The truth of this news of Psalms is also seen in Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) life. For Persia, Byzantium, India, China and lots of countries were conquered and the majority of their folks were converted and became the ummah of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). And this expression of Psalms is stated in the verses of the Qur’an as follows:

“What Allah has bestowed on His Messenger (and taken away) from the people of the townships belongs to Allah to His Messenger and to kindred and orphans, the needy and the wayfarer; in order that it may not (merely) make a circuit between the wealth among you. So take what the Messenger assigns to you, and deny yourselves that which he withholds from you. And fear Allah; for Allah is strict in Punishment.” (Al-Hashr, 59/7)

d. “You have loved righteousness, and hated wickedness.”

This sentence informs about the two attributes of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) as these attributes are expressed in the Qur’an as follows:

“Ye are the best of peoples, evolved for mankind, enjoining what is right, forbidding what is wrong, and believing in Allah. If only the People of the Book had faith it were best for them; among them are some who have faith, but most of them are perverted transgressors.” (Aal-e-Imran, 3/110)

2. “Your sons will take the place of your fathers. You shall make them princes in all the earth. I will make your name to be remembered in all generations. Therefore the peoples shall give you thanks forever and ever.” (The Psalms 45:16-17)

These sentences of Psalms are also about the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) because, although 1400 years have passed since the death of the prophet Muhammad (PBUH), believers have been reciting salawats by saying “Salli 'ala Muhammadin wa 'ala ali Muhammad…” especially after five daily prayers through the ages. So is there anyone whose name is mentioned as much as the prophet Muhammad (PBUH) on earth? Of course not. So, is it possible that the person who is mentioned in Psalms is not the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)?

3. “He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, from the River to the ends of the earth. Those who dwell in the wilderness shall bow before him. His enemies shall lick the dust. The kings of Tarshish and of the islands will bring tribute. The kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts. Yes, all kings shall fall down before him. All nations shall serve him. For he will deliver the needy when he cries; the poor, who has no helper. He will have pity on the poor and needy. He will save the souls of the needy. He will redeem their soul from oppression and violence. Their blood will be precious in his sight. They shall live, and to him shall be given of the gold of Sheba. Men shall pray for him continually. They shall bless him all day long. Abundance of grain shall be throughout the land. Its fruit sways like Lebanon. Let it flourish, thriving like the grass of the field. His name endures forever. His name continues as long as the sun. Men shall be blessed by him. All nations will call him blessed. Blessed be his glorious name forever! Let the whole earth be filled with his glory!” (The Psalms 72, 2-19 summary)

Anyone who listens to those sentences of the Psalms will approve that they describe the Prophet (pbuh). All of the attributes mentioned in those verses of the Psalms are present in the Prophet (pbuh).

Up to this part of our study, we have studied some of the parts of the distorted Gospel, Torah and Psalms that indicated the Prophet (pbuh). We have proved with the certainty of two plus two equaling four that the heavenly books mention Muhammad (pbuh) and give glad tidings that he will arrive. Although those heavenly books were distorted so much and especially the verses related to the Prophet (pbuh) were tried to be changed and removed, Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh) shines brightly in the present heavenly books like the sun.

My goodness the Birthday Bash I had! It was for the decade! Except that I’ll make sure the Bday splendor repeats or gets better every year. What a joy. What a place. What magic.

A Blue Moon on top of a lovely mountain with the kindest people! Dang, it was super!

I still buzz with Bday vibes so I decided to postpone part 3 of my Sinclair sequence.I’ll write it next week. To write about Wars today is impossible. I’m really not in the mood. And didn’t have a chance to research it either, not that much research went into the other parts…which is crazy to realize how quickly a name can reveal a whole universe of facts. In these case, horrible facts…

In honor of my Day, I’ll write about 3 things dear to me. My Dad, Bond and my book. It tickled my heart to have a professional astrologer remind me of my Dad’s success. On my birthday, I had an astrological reading with one of the top American Vedic astrologers, the lovely Carol Allen; it was right there on my chart, Sun Jupiter conjunction: Father’s Gold! The older I get, the more I’m in awe by his generosity and accomplishments. Thank you Dad.

I rewatched “Casino Royale” and realized, well was reminded that Daniel Craig was the worst Bond of all. He was not a true James Bond, far from it; classy-less, a thug, a brute.

I started the second draft of my 4th book! It ain’t for the faint heart. But it’ll be awesome. It’s a lot harder than the first draft, haha . Let me laugh to liven the spirit.

Alright! Now to continue the Bday momentum, it’s Labor Day Weekend!!! Uhuuuuuuuu. Mom & Dad had pristine timing in the makings of me!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Iceland, I know it is cold there, but please stop pulling the wool over the eyes of unsuspecting visitors.

Iceland, the land of fire and ice, mountains and glaciers, ageless sagas, fables, mythology and unpronounceable names, uniquely positioned on an active volcanic island in the middle of the cold and blustery Atlantic Ocean. A rocky and craggy, wet and windy place, known for its wild seas and unpredictable weather, with all its historical Viking allure and endless amazing wonders of nature, had finally enticed me to visit. After countless years and efforts to attract visitors to Iceland, a tiny secluded island nation, some say overdue for a volcano eruption, population 350,000, through their very popular international ad slogan: “A Transatlantic Journey with a Stopover in Iceland,” I finally acquiesced and booked my trip. Since it was a stopover, ultimately my final destination would be Stockholm, Sweden.

Iceland reminded me of other “I” countries: Israel, India, Ireland, Iraq, Iran and Indonesia. They always seemed to fall into the loved it, cannot wait to return, or hated it, will never return, when speaking with other seasoned world travelers on do not miss, must visit countries of the globe. There is no better way to find out about a new place than to visit and discover what hidden treasures await there on your own. My immediate concern turned to my injury and travel needs. How would they treat me there, how would accessibility be for city streets, public transport, restaurants and hotels and, most importantly, would I be able to access the timeless peculiar beauty and infinite splendor of the island whilst in a wheelchair?  Well, it did not take long after I arrived to find out just what made so very extraordinary Iceland and its people.

Most times before I visit a country, especially since in need of some occasional physical assistance, everything would be incredibly and meticulously planned beforehand.  But sometimes the world and its daily stresses do not allow such taken-for-granted securities into consideration of schedule, instead requiring you to be a voyager, on a self-discovery, wild pilgrimage of sorts: Doing the Dirty Dishes of life – living with your heart and eyes open again. The reservation process, as far as an injured person goes, was more than difficult with the biggest and best travel websites offered. It would be new and unknown exploration, wrapped in intrigue, encased within an adventure. The magic of the trail was sure to be upon me. What scary and unknown situations could I throw at the universe to see what awesome memories would result. I was ready.

After arriving at Keflavik airport, located about a forty-five minute drive from the city of Reykjavik, it was not long before luggage and immigration were sorted and I was in need of local transport. I queued for a bus company that went to my hotel and had a fair price. Iceland is a bit way expensive of a country to visit. Normally I would pay for the convenience of a taxi because of my injury and wheelchair but at $250 USD one way, I decided to take my chances with a tour bus company. After paying $60 return, they directed me over to a bus waiting close by with a line already in place.  After about ten minutes or so a smaller slender man appeared and asked me if I was ready.  Before I could tell him where to grab me, he had me in the air as he attempted to lift me onto the bus. Safely up the stairs, onto the bus, he plopped me down into the first seat. I knew I was in a special place, with exceptional people.  Chair safely secured below in the cargo hold, we were on our way – let the adventure begin.

The ride was unlike any other bus-to-city ride I have ever taken.  The foreign terra was filled with so many new shades of greens and browns, mountain landscape and hot spring vistas as far as the eye could see, with snow, ice and water mixed throughout. There was no doubt – I was in a supernatural place. Soon I would arrive at my hotel, the Hotel Cabin.  As the bus parked curbside in front of the hotel, the scrawny driver grabbed me once again, placed me over his shoulder, and as his small frame shakily carried me off the bus, pointing out along the way my luggage sitting safely to my left, softly dropping me in my chair, he said “welcome to Iceland,” and then off he went.  He had other injured to carry up and down bus stairs.

I would find the same level of willingness to help strangers at the hotel as well.  In fact, I found this to be the case with the whole country, whether native or newly emigrated; those I met were always on the ready to lend a helping hand.  The three gentleman shuffling hours at the front desk of my hotel were out of this world helpful:  Aiwa, Arkadiusz and The Conductor. The Icelandic manager at the front desk was so incredibly helpful. She took one hour from her day, telling me every local hot spot to visit and eat – the best gems not found on any tourist maps.  Claus-in-Iceland was the best photographer-disguised-as-a-museum-guide one could find. The Portuguese lady and others at the front desk, as well as all the Polish staff at the hotel, were absolutely the best. I later found out the driver of the airport transport bus was also Polish.

Seven days of my three weeks visiting Iceland were spent with an old friend, Sunita. We had met over twenty years previous while I was living in Tokyo.  She was in Japan on a work visa, from Nepal, patiently waiting and trying to find a way to America. Presently married, with a gifted and beautiful teenage daughter, Hazel, she is a RN manager, currently living in Boston – just a short hop, skip and jump to Reykjavik.  We spent our one week together in a rental car traversing every part of the island reachable via day trip. She was a godsend in more ways than can be written here, but especially as she was my rescue after arriving in Iceland from Sweden with a wallet emptied of cash and all cards. They had been stolen after being drugged and robbed in Stockholm three days prior. I will forever remember her experiencing her first Northern Lights far down a dirt country road, nestled in between dark rural farm fields, under a pitch black sky. I am sure she will not forget either – they are a cosmic atmospheric orgasmic cornucopia of lights and colors that everyone should witness at least once in their lifetime.

Reykjavik, a city of 120,000 people, charming and inviting, settled in 871 when Ingolfur Arnarson arrived on its shores, is a must see. When he landed, steam from the various hot springs caused him to refer to the settlement as “Smokey Bay” or modern day Reykjavik. The city is filled with distinctive landscapes, brightly colored Skandinavian homes and endless unique architecture, including Harpa, Hallgrimskirkja Church, The House of Parliament, City Hall, Austurvollur, Hljomskalinn and Hofdi House, among the endless amount of world renowned art galleries and historical museums.  It was very easy to get around the city in a car, and there was ample parking for those in need. I highly recommend the waffle stand by the big church – or any other Icelandic tasty eats or delicious snacks you can find in the streets. The city also offers whale, volcano and glacier tours, hiking and camping, scenic city and flight tours, buggy and snowmobiling, as well as tons of seasonal events and festivities for every type to see and experience.

It is only but a short drive to get out of the city and into the heartland of Iceland, where one can find the true beauty of the island.  Springs can be seen often on the side of the road, warm and steamy, tempting one to their warmth and earth-bubbling healing properties.  Sunita and I especially loved the Blue Lagoon spa. One does not have to look too far to see natural landscapes that take your breath away – until the next turn on the highway causes your breath to go away again – and then again. Endless mountain peaks filled with snow, mixed in with green and brown grassy cratered hilly meadows and waterfalls, await your every turn – causing one to be very careful while driving – the island and its optical treats are that overly luscious. They will fill your eyes in awe, with pause of the natural world, of God’s cathedral. The list of must see places would not suffice in this blog. I visited in October, the start of Northern Lights season. The glaciers, hot springs, beaches, mountains, continental divide, waterfalls, and countless hills with farms and sheep all await your own personal page.

Iceland was surprisingly much more injured and wheelchair friendly than expected.  Leave it up to Viking ingenuity and Skandinavian pragmatic living in order to make it all make sense for those in need of public assistance. All public buildings I visited, such as Reykjavik Public Library, where a copy of my book can be found, were all easily accessible. It was definitely possible to have your own little wheelchair adventure obstacle course once you left a public building, in order to reach another but wherever possible, it was noticeable they took time mitigating any possible stumbling blocks in the way. Although, it would have been much nicer if Icelandair would have allowed me the use of my own wheelchair while in transit, rather than the confusing mess that occurred, resulting in damages to my chair. Of course, once you went off the beaten path, very easily accomplished, you were on your own; all nearby public areas were accessible however, albeit rough gravel.  I would certainly challenge you to put on your creativity cap, strap up your boots, Buttercup – and, as I so aptly state in my book, Unbreakable Mind, go forth into the world to live and experience life again: Teeth to the Wind!

One cannot speak of Iceland without speaking of the magic of the land and its people, but also its amazing food and drink. Whale, liquorices, lamb, horse and various cold water fish (Arctic char and Halibut) are all local specialties, found with their own unique recipe from village to village. Reykjavik has a great nightlife scene, replete with trendy bars and restaurants, with no lack of tasty community craft beers or ancient cocktails. One cannot forget to mention the amazing baked goods and other tasty treats on the island as well. Pylsa (Icelandic hot dog), Flatkaka (Unleavened flat bread, recipe from 9th Century), Humar (Icelandic lobster) and Kleina (Icelandic twisted donuts) will make your mouth water for more; all which has also caused some people in recent times to refer to Iceland as a foodie’s heaven.  I would agree.

Which brings me to my beef with Iceland: Stop pulling the wool over unsuspecting travellers’ eyes by baiting them to your island with a stopover which is not a true stopover – it is actually two separate flights, resulting in additional travel leg(s) and unnecessary exorbitant costs to the traveler.  On your Icelandair website you state: “Travel across the Atlantic via Icelandair and add a stopover in Iceland to your journey, at no additional airfare.” It is not correct – and, in fact, is ripping off naïve travelers who know none the better. Your island is beautiful enough; surely there is no need to lower your country to trickery, smoke and mirrors, to increase tourism. With your real estate industry in another bubble, an economy slowing, tourism numbers decreasing, while rapid development on a large scale continues unabated, with banks continuing lending freely, one national airline already bankrupt and the other teetering on the brink, considering the lessons of 2008 financial crisis, and the fact that your GDP is heavily dependent on tourism: Hættu þessu kjaftæði, Iceland (Stop the bullshit)!

Let me take a minute to explain how a true stopover works.  With a true stop-over, or extended layover, a traveler would only need to pay the taxes to exit the airport (for however many days they want to stopover on the island to visit (most countries have a limit on # of days)); whereas Icelandair does not do that – you end up being charged for two separate flights – a victim of a well orchestrated international bait-n-switch scheme – basically, absolute bullshit. So, instead of a round-trip flight to Stockholm, with a true stopover in Reykjavik, costing me $704 + local airport taxes to exit Keflavik (most countries are $36-90) into Iceland, it now cost me $1108 return flight to Sweden.  I would think that is a wee bit more airfare, save any additional taxes. Number Forty-three would call that fuzzy math. Nu er nog komid, Icelandair (Enough is enough)!

It was eventually time to get back ‘on the road again,’ the journey of life was calling out my name – she was singing me home – as Willie Nelson’s melody softly played in the back of my head, slowly I packed my bags – Iceland and its people securely in my heart. It was also not long before the tour bus would come by to scoop me up, literally, again. Another skinny Polish driver would play Hercules. It should be duly noted that there are innumerable tour companies that will pick you up at your hotel for everything from northern lights to local island and harbor boat tours. My time in Iceland was memorable to say the least.  Iceland is an astonishingly beautiful country – truly a supernatural land – an island of intrigue and mystery all its own – with a friendly people and interesting history – and with untold delectable treats and potent potables to boot – a place I will visit friends again, just hopefully next time it truly will not cost me any additional airfare. I need to save it for the taxi rides and horse carpaccio.

they shall never grow old

"they will perish, but You will endure; yes, they will all grow old like a garment; like a cloak You will change them, and they will be changed." psa 102:26

there is coming a day when, even as one day the universe will be rolled up like a scroll and recreated, our old bodies shall be changed into a yet unknown likeness... "we shall be like Him." 1 john 3:2  the wonderment of what awaits us i can only imagine.  the splendor and glory the Father has bestowed upon the Son, we too shall inherit.  "in this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials." 1 pet 1:6  patience and endurance - that's what one needs obtain this great inheritance.

i think of all those who shall never grow old, at least not in this life.  these are those struck down by war, fighting for its defense and freedom.  a worthy cause now trampled underfoot by those who would use it to fulfill their evil desires and senseless pleasures.

i think of all the unborn who shall never even have an opportunity to grow old; of all the potential lost that resided within them.  then there are those just stricken by residues of a sinful, fallen world; some by incidental means while others should claim it as their rightful due, by folly or otherwise.  nevertheless, "He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust." matt 5:45

these are all physical ramifications.  there are spiritual ramifications as well.  some have their growth stunted by secret and unrepentant sin.  then there are those who are content just remaining "babes" in Christ.  we all are born as babes, in the spirit realm just as we were in the physical one.  but just as a physical baby is expected to grow and mature, so is our spiritual man.  one doesn't want to always be fed and have their diapers changed.  what if there's no one around to do it?

"when i was a child, i spoke as a child, i understood as a child, i thought as a child; but when i became a man, i put away childish things." 1 cor 13:11  it is our job to put them away.  i once heard an elder in the church make this statement.  "the spirit doesn't age, it only matures."  i was struck by that.  maturity doesn't depend on age.  it can come in youth or advanced age.

we will ever be learning once we come into His presence.  there will be so much to know and explore.  "brethren, do not be children in understanding; however, in malice be babes, but in understanding be mature." 21 cor 14:20  we are that chosen generation.  we are the appointed ones to usher in His coming.  how awesome is that?  the climax of the age!

do you want to be a babe, standing around and watching all the happenings or do you want to be a partaker.  "most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father." john 14:12  what greater works?  do you think He will entrust them into the hands of babes?  i for one want to walk in that promise.

just think of the vast numbers of believers gone before; some of great faith and some with works that shall never be known in this life.  they are waiting for us to wrap all this stuff up.  not by the great things we shall do, but because of the faith we possess that He who watches over His word to perform it will perform it.  "if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you." matt 17:20

won't you join with me and dare to believe.  believe for the impossible.  believe we are called and chosen to be here and now for a purpose.  believe for His will to be done in this earth as it is in heaven.

if i light a candle in the dark, will it be lighter?  what if we all light a candle?  how could the darkness then exist?  if we all just sit idly by saying one little candle won't matter, the darkness will surely envelope us.  i keep hearing this phrase from God - "everyone doing their part."  do you remember the daily about the boy picking up starfish from the shore trying to save what he could?  how about the hummingbird dropping one little beak of water as his flew back and forth over a raging fire?  that's all God asks from us - no more, no less.  just do our part.  He will do the rest!  He is watching over His Word to perform it.

How Great Thou Art

“How many are your works, Lord! In wisdom you made them all.”1 

Life often feels frenzied and hectic. We hurry from one appointment to the next, returning phone calls, texts, and emails: checking off our seemingly endless to-do lists. Sometimes we only sit and rest out of sheer exhaustion. 

This past summer, my family had the privilege of vacationing in South Lake Tahoe, up in the Northeastern mountains of California. We hiked hidden trails that led to beautiful waterfalls and exceptional scenic views that, quite literally, left me breathless. As we stopped to rest it was impossible to not stand in awe at God’s perfect creation; something not easily appreciated when we are caught up in the busyness of life. To be out in nature with no phone signal and no pressing agenda, has no comparison. In the undistracted stillness it was easy to notice nature as it was intended to be appreciated. The sound of a rushing waterfall in the distance, the buzz of a bee in a nearby flower and the call of a bird to its flock. The sky was a brilliant blue and the horizon seemed endless. God created all of this for you and me to enjoy, unaltered. 

When we slow down enough to literally stop and smell the roses and take in all the wondrous sights and sounds of our Lord’s creation, it is impossible to not be moved to worship in gratitude to the God of all Creation. In the midst of our daily rush, a quiet moment can remind us of God’s detailed creativity. We are surrounded by evidence of His power and tenderness. I encourage you to read the entirety of Psalm 104, where the author shares with great detail the glory of God’s majestic Creation.

Suggested Prayer: Lord my God, you are very great; you are clothed with splendor and majesty (Ps. 104:1) and my heart can only sing my gratitude: 

Oh Lord, My God When I, in awesome wonder, Consider all the worlds Thy hands have made. I see the stars; I hear the rolling thunder. Thy power throughout the universe displayed!

Toxic Mindset

“Then Melchizedek king of Salem...he blessed Abram, saying, “Blessed be Abram by God Most High, Creator of heaven and earth.” Genesis 14:18-19NLT

A Facebook post— ‘Sometimes we get to be delivered from the toxic mindset or the wounds that dictate our decisions throughout our lives. The rest of the time, God, in His mercy, strips us of everything we think we know and are comfortable with, and un-learning becomes like the peeling of each layer of onion skin… Who am I, that the One who makes the mountains stand in their splendor, is mindful of me?’

Contemplating the post, I was amazed with the wisdom of these words. It’s impossible to know exactly which toxic mindset was referred to. As I looked at US and world affairs, fires, floods, earthquakes, economic failures, human trafficking, stole presidency, wars, rumors of wars, my heart leapt, Jesus spoke of most of this in Matthew 24.

The unveiling of the end-time is upon us. Christian television says stockpile food, purchase river water purifiers, but nothing about  Jesus coming to our rescue. Mankind’s mindset is deathly toxic. Satan wants to wear down our faith and minds with terrible news and events, see Philippians 4:8. Look only upon Jesus, otherwise we become like Peter when he started to sink. Matthew 14:29-30NIV “...Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!”

Concentrating fully upon Jesus, His sovereignty AND His love for us individually lifts us out of the toxic mindset and cesspool of life. Looking solely at Jesus, realizing He’s Creator of everything seen and unseen --opens all eyes to His blessings.

Rick Joyner wrote in There Were Two Trees In The Garden, pg. 148-149 ‘Except for this tiny little pocket of darkness called earth, the glory of God prevails over the universe. Even though we are but a speck in the great expanse of creation, the Father made the supreme sacrifice to redeem and restore us by sending His own Son, to the overwhelming wonder of creation. But for this awesome fact, earth would register ‘zero’ in significance compared to the expanse of God’s dominion. When we begin to perceive the Lord and the dimensions of His kingdom, personal and even world problems begin to look insignificant. We can be sure that this one drop of evil in the great expanse of His creation will never overcome the oceans of His goodness. HIS KINGDOM WILL COME! It is an irresistible force which will overshadow evil just as the sun overshadows the moon when it rises.’

Jesus is the spoken Word, Creator of earth. John 1:1, 14ESV “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God …the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, …we have seen His glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.” The Son of God, the epitome of God’s best revealed to man, enabling us to inherit the blessings of Abraham through no work of our own. He’s God’s life in human form. Because of Jesus sacrifice God now has a born again family— for relationship with Himself.

Let’s turn our focus on Jesus. Keep it on Jesus, not the wind, the storms, or cesspool waves. KNOW, become thoroughly convinced, totally believe His kingdom will come upon earth. We will be blessed “by God Most High, Creator of heaven and earth.”  If you don’t focus on Jesus, you’ll go under the waves, during the storm, and down into the cesspool. It’s your choice. You choose.

LET’S PRAY: God it’s difficult to focus on being blessed by Jesus, Creator, amidst this world’s stuff. Help us set our focus solely on Jesus and to concentrate on looking at You as we enter the upcoming season, in the name of Jesus Christ I pray.

He has a big booming voice and when we tune in to His frequency, we’ll easily recognize it as He points us in the ways we should go. He confounds us with audacious miracles that no man could contrive. Beyond compare are His extraordinary works of creation – the powerful, rolling waves of the ocean and the majestic…

Another one about Star Wars Visions

In The Village Bride, I couldn't help but be disappointed that the Padawan/younger Jedi was wearing that face mask for most of the episode and it turns out all she was hiding was a tiny gash on her chin. She didn't have to be Vader level of scared under there, but something between that and one little cut would make sense for her to be self-conscious. Unless she was trying to hide her identity from the Purge search, but the older Jedi was just as much on the run as she was, and he's not hiding his face. But the bride and groom's custom of creating a vision of their planets former natural splendor was spectacular.

In TO-BI, read the premis before seeing it, and I did not think they could pull off a Kyber Crystal holding an imprint of the Padawan soul, but they totally pull it off. And a machine restoring the natural life after war scorched earth it is exactly what the universe needs.

I loved The Ninth Jedi. I'm a sucker for keeping endangered crafts alive, and turning the lightsabers into soul reading mood rings was a good kind of silly.

The Elder is a great prequel for the prequels. Setting the seen for why the Jedi found it so unbelievable that the Sith would return, and why they should have believed it anyway.

Same response as my last one re: haven't seen it yet.

Since I just made a post about "how would Cara incorporate her home customs + her new partner's customs into a dress" the idea of a bride and groom working together to honor their homeworld/home culture sounds really awesome to me. The galaxy far far away is SO big and diverse, it makes me wonder how couples from different backgrounds and cultures choose to come together and incorporate these important things into their lives.

I will say the idea of a lightsaber smith is a really intriguing idea, even though I am very attached to the idea of a Padawan making their own lightsaber (like in SWTOR and Legends).
