alamat: pinoy pop. a youtube commenter described them as sounding like 2nd gen kpop which probably also explains why i took a shine to them LMAO, notable for the amount of filipino culture on display and the diversity thereof (singing in different languages, themes). first heard them thru kasmala either here or on twitter lmao, try aswang or maharani

andy bull: alt-pop. a lot of poppy and upbeat songs with a melancholic undertone imo. an australian artist, try it's all connected or keep on running

cosmo sheldrake: electronic, wikipedia also lists him as folktronica and baroque pop. you may have heard the song come along on an apple ad - hes known for sampling sounds from nature. pliocene for example features sounds from endangered ecosystems.

if you like cosmo sheldrake, you might like hidden orchestra (electronica, ambient). also making use of field recordings, i really love the archipelago mixtape but its a hard sell at about an hour lmao. if you like the following song then i implore you to give it a go

son lux: experimental, you may have heard from them in the entire soundtrack for everything everywhere all at once (!!!!!). try dangerous, dream state (brighter night) or live another life.

ammar 808: electronic/world fusion, also behind bargou 08 (folk rock you should also listen to). i just cant get ain essouda out of my head, but i also love geeta duniki

miyavi: j-rock, used to be a visual kei artist. these days he might be known more for anime openings like flashback (kokkoku) or other side (id:invaded), or for work like snakes in arcane (or actually inspiring and voicing a character in it), but ive always been partial to his early work like sukkyanen myv or ashita, genki ni naare

the guilty gear soundtracks and im so serious im not fucking joking. different kinds of rock and metal and all sorts of influences put in, a genuine labor of love. xrd and earlier games are mainly instrumental with some vocal tracks (try give me a break or big blast sonic), while strive pretty much always includes vocals (of course i need to rec rock parade, but also try requiem. its genuinely hard for me to pick and choose lmao)

triple j like a version is when the radio station triple j brings in artists and has them do a cover of a song (artists choice). i liked denzel curry's cover of bulls on parade and flume's shooting stars (video for this one is incredible, man had a vision you just have to stick it out), but you get a lot of interesting interpretations like the wombats' running up that hill, gordi's in the end or, infamously. the wiggles' elephant

i think one of my biggest (and only) gripes with procreate is that they dont have like. a masterlist of features their app has to offer. a full thorough ui navigation. because ive been using procreate for a couple years now and im still discovering preexisting features because they just. dont mention it anywhere

Im personally against the vast interpretation of Adam being seen as sexist in his marriage with Lilith simply because it doesn't make sense in my mind. It's easy to think that when you only go off the Alphabet of Ben Sira as he was the one trying to subdue her during sex, but if you substitute the act of copulation with sessions of debates, then you'd be getting a new view of the matter.

The Zohar has always made it known that it was Lilith who was the odd one out in their marriage. She's known as a quarrelsome woman, and a partner that was unfit for him because she wasn't a good help. There's also the text that hints at evil spirits that haunt him during his marriage to her. Personally, I view this as Adam's failure to integrate Lilith's arguments in his view of the world with the evil spirits being the seeds of doubt being planted in his head from her inquisitive nature - a very dangerous thing in the Garden of Eden. Her attempts to shake him to the truth of their equal standing in the Alphabet could have been her plea to get him to look her way and consider her words. The failure of doing so definitely seems like he was trying to make her submit to his dogma which has made her leave him and Eden all together. You could interpret this as the man choosing his faith over his partner's concerns as the reason that killed their marriage. But as sad as this may be, it's not enough to warrant thinking about the first man as sexist. If anything, you could even interpret this incompatibility as forced upon them due to the Zohar having stated once or twice that Lilith had to be REMOVED from Adam. I often think of this as a ploy to get Eve to replace her.

aitnists week 19

The main story is finished serializing on Patreon! 🥳

So Chapter 19 just hit AO3 and Chapter 20, the final chapter, is now on Patreon. There is still one more additional scene I'm going to post there, but not until after the main story is finished serializing on AO3.

Once both sides are finished serializing, I'm going to take aim at the ebook, which I'm hoping to have up and ready by mid-October. That said, the responses I got to the survey really made me reconsider how I was intending to handle the publishing side of things... I'm still learning about my options and stewing on the best way forward, so the ebook might take a little bit longer.

(I'll have a post up about my thoughts there later.)

Honestly I think telling people ANY time is the best time of their life is an awful idea but doing to to collage I do think is worse for me specifically because now I'm in this ridiculous position of having so much pressure on me to be having fun that I have regular panic attacks about it.

i find that often when talking about some issues on here and on other sites/irl when people refer to 'x group is doing this!' (especially when x group is an entire nationality) there's often a more specific group (sometimes even with a name!) actually responsible for said thing. in the nationality case even just saying 'government of this country is doing this' is more specific and often more productive. like all things there's nuance to this but we are on tumblr there is no character limit if you're going to post about serious political issues you have the space and time to define your terms
