As frustrating as it was to watch haein be manipulated by that clown once again, it's still refreshing that this drama reminds us that these communication issues don't just go away. And haein not telling hyunwoo then and there was reasonable since she was shocked and what she hates doing is hurting him and it's been reiterated that she approaches situations wrong in an effort to protect her ppl at her own expense. Obviously she still has a lot to learn in this regard (so come on drama she needs to live and grow thank you).

It's also clear that in that moment she wanted to use the clown too, to get back into the house and see her grandfather which is smart thinking on her part, I just wish she'd be a little more stern with the clown because it seems like she just lets him ramble on and honestly cuts him too much slack by giving him her time of day when she should just be like okay next, are you done? Because after all the bad things he's done, he really just doesn't deserve that meal with her but eh I'd like to think haein was just doing what he wanted to get to see her grandfather.

Also there's potential the clown was somehow involved in her brother's death or witnessed it because now we know hyunwoo saved her so the fact that the clown is pointing out that he saved her suggests something so great another mystery that I have no idea whether they will unravel.

Anyway the ep was frustrating cuz there was too much clown time but I still think it deals with hyunwoo and haein's relationship well, these issues aren't resolved over night or just because they love each other, they need to keep at and eventually they'll get there, I just hope the drama gives haein the time she deserves.

I genuinely like, die inside knowing how much Vash hates himself. How he doesn’t believe he’s worth anything. How much guilt he holds inside himself over shit he did not do. Things he didn’t want to have happen. Tried to prevent. Would have moved mountains to stop.

How he blames himself, internalizing every failure when he can’t possibly do everything he asks of himself- he’s just one person, no matter how capable. It doesn’t matter, those self-imposed short-comings only serve as nails in the coffin of his own perceived ineptitude. That ineptitude that exists as a traitor to the things he he holds dear. Every one of them, a failure to honor Rem’s memory.

He tries so, so hard to do right by everyone. To uphold and carry on what Rem instilled in him. To bring about the kind of future she believed in. One she would have been happy to help facilitate, knowing that that’s what she gave her life for. One she could smile down on and be at peace with.

But he’s still just one person, with too many burdens and a brother who intentionally, and without end, adds to the doubts that plague him. And still, Vash loves him. Because Rem loved him, too. Because he’s the only brother Vash has. Because they were always supposed to have each other. How could he betray that?

And, even if that weren’t the case, how could he ever hope to stand successfully on his own, when Knives has made sure to hammer into Vash at every opportunity that Vash will always, always be hopeless without him?

Love-bombing: A manipulation tactic of increasing affection and grand gestures before or after doing something abusive, specifically to weasel one's way out of consequences.

What it is not: A streak of affection and generosity towards friends/loved ones.

Trauma-bonding: Knowingly traumatizing someone to take advantage of their vulnerable state, to then act like the "hero" or the one who cheers them up.

What it is not: Bonding over similar traumas.

Gaslighting: *Knowingly* convincing someone they cannot trust their own perception of a situation in pursuit of one's own narrative.

What it is not: Misaligned perception of events.

Narcissist: Someone afflicted with Narcissistic Personality Disorder, a traumagenic cluster B disorder, that struggles with self-obsession, paranoia, craving validity from the public, delusions of grandeur, and social disconnection.

It is not: Your rubbish ex that cheated on you.
