YESSS its so fun!! i really really liked it and couldnt stop reading it until i finished so i had to come on here and talk about it as i went im kinda sad i caught up too because im still thinking about it o(--(

and like its not just the story and the characters that are fun but also the mc. i felt like there were a good variety of choices that worked for me personally and i could still be flirty without being extremely overt every time! because some characters i want to be casual about it but characters like O i prefer to be much forward at times if that makes sense!

also the characters seem to have some initiative. im not 100% sure how it works but i do at least know if you've done some <3 choices (and it doesnt have to be a big amount???) August will start dropping big hints on their own and the story seems to be making it look like my mc doesnt fully know what's happening. which makes sense with the type of <3 choices ive made in the past it makes me really curious about the code cause that feels so specific! so its quite cool to me. THOUGH i may be over thinking all this and it could be a coincidence lol but still i enjoy them making moves on their own you know and theres G who just makes passes on their own from the beginning!

I also enjoy the customization of the band too cause honestly, I was expecting to be put into a rock band and thats it, but they let you pick the genre and even decide the bands "uniform" to an extent! To me this wouldnt be a dealbreaker if it wasnt there, but its really nice that it was and then theres the music making and even naming ur fans haha

anyways i could keep going on and on about the characters here but ill stop lol

i highly rec ppl read it even if its a WIP, especially if you enjoy the romance aspect of IFs because wowie. those little moments between the mc and the ROs actually affected me more than i thought :P

i think what bothers me about zukka is it just feels like such a reach. it feels like a crackship that everyone treats like its not and it's everywhere. like yeah they have some interesting parallels and some funny ship-bait moments in the show, but otherwise they dont really... interact meaningfully... at all...

hyrule warriors definitive edition was a wonderful crossover game (and i say this as someone who usually doesnt care for crossovers) and gave us so many good possibilities for interactions between characters from different games but i still feel like theres some untapped potential there. particularly with the dlc characters that ended up getting... not so much content

like i would do anything to see ghirahim and yuga (+ zant?) interact. Lately ive also been thinking abt how funny something like, say, ravio and linkle interacting would be. linkles side story was already SO fun i truly think her running into ravio wouldve made it even funnier. and cute... cuz he would totally hype up the fact that shes a hero. theyd be besties

Ive been struggling so much these last few months trying to work through the biggest breakup of my life &now I've just been made aware that my best friend who I thought was the most solid person in my life has been harboring resentment towards me for a bare minimum of the last two months and I just. I saw your dejammed au and all I can wonder is how the beasts interact with the main three, who gets along best with who? I can see Wizard and Shadow Milk getting along slightly, but also it's Shadow Milk. Will we also get to see the beasts possibly growing closer to the three kiddos as time goes on, since Dark Enchantress seems to be actively making herself a bigger threat to the kids(not surprising, I'm pretty sure they've thwarted her plans and allies a lot of times by that point)

id LOVEEE to have the other beasts interact with the gingerbrave gang. theres one issue tho, and its that they never met these kids in canon i believe? mystic flour and burning spice confrontations happened without input of these three, instead it was always the other allies of the involved ancients. so while itd be fun, i dont think anything meaningful wouldve come out of it... maybe?

while her calmness is eerie, mystic flour wouldnt bother strawberry that much. she wouldnt strike up a conversation or pester her often, instead theyd just. exist in eachothers presence, which is a great breather from everything being so overwhelming

gingerbraves moxie and determination surely would amuse burning spice, at least somewhat. feisty little thing, which is actually admirable

as for shadow milk... he gets the most interactions with the kids due to au plot reasons, and since he is in constant danger of being exposed to their presence. ESPECIALLY ever since he decided to organize magic lessons to stave off boredom. is there other reason for these? who knows, but nothing has happened SO FAR. hell, strawberry crepe stays nearby too, shadow milk is one-in-a-lifetime opportunity for dough analysis and overall a curious study subject. dont worry though, theres always some supervision so that shadow milk doesnt get any funny ideas. or at least at first, as time goes on the unthinkable happens and he actually becomes trusted enough to hang around others without needing anyone to keep an eye on him

Sung Hyunjae from other POVs

Spoiler warning for Ch. 481

I was reading the Chloe pov and it's so interesting to see how Sung Hyunjae is perceived by other hunters. Like Chloe is terrified of him and from her POV he is seen as a monster and we actually get to see how Sung Hyunjae normally treats hunters. He's cold and indifferent and treats Chloe like a mere ant. But I think this reaffirms that he genuinely likes Han yoojin bc he changes as soon as he's mentioned:

"Han Yoojin, it was fun." Sung Hyunjae's eyes curved into a much softer expression. He smiled, genuinely, with a sparkle in his eyes, like a boy enjoying himself. Chloe couldn't hide her shock as she gasped. She had never imagined the head of the Sesung Guild could make such an expression."

LIKE HAN YOOJIN MAKES HIM HUMAN. IM SCREAMING. Also i think it's so funny how all these hunters are terrified of him and bc we are reading from yoojin pov we don't really get to see the monster side of him. Like he's manipulative, yes. But we don't really see him ever be really indifferent towards yoojin bc he actually cares about him. Also bc yoojin honestly treats sung hyunjae like shit sometimes, ( not that he doesn't deserve it) I just think it'd be so funny to see other hunters react to HJYJ interactions bc i genuinely think theyd have an aneurysm.
