god, chuuya is everyone’s wine mom and i love that. what’s the difference between how aku sees chuuya and how he sees dazai?

Oh BOY. We don't see Chuuya and Akutagawa's relationship much at all except in that brief moment in Dead Apple. The only other content we can go by is wan, which also doesn't give much, and that radio episode where the PM members go to a hot spring.

So from those two moments, we can see that Akutagawa respects Chuuya a LOT. I want to point out that even if Akutagawa needs Dazai's approval, he doesn't treat Dazai politely. Sure, he comes to Dazai's beck and call, but he's never really respectful. He demands things from Dazai, and he backtalks him all the time. The ONLY time I've ever seen Akutagawa be respectful to someone is that bow he gave Chuuya.

This makes me conclude that while he demands a lot less approval from Chuuya, I think he sees Chuuya as someone he needs to strive to be like. Chuuya's whole thing is having an insanely strong ability, and that's what Akutagawa wants to be seen as.

The radio drama kind of reinforces this since Akutagawa is quiet and shy around Chuuya. Aku and Dazai have a lot closer relationship, but with Chuuya, Aku keeps his distance, probably out of admiration.

I'm on ep5 of LOK and remembering why I have never gotten past the first season of this show. The love triangle shit is driving me INSANE in the worst of ways. It feels like fucking high school drama.

israel hands is under the impression that ed's personal growth (going 'soft', falling for stede, the act of grace, his sadness and emotional vulnerability afterwards, all of it, etc, etc) is not personal growth, but one of his classic 'moods'.

izzy thinks this bc he has so very little emotional intelligence. he cannot read people. and due to not understanding where or why the (potentially dangerous) shifts happen in ed, he has gotten to a point where he is extremely suspicious of this (positive) shift. (and to play devil's advocate, even though this shift is a positive thing for ed, his actions were very much dangerous.)

izzy wants ed to go back to being blackbeard because he sees that ed is deeply depressed and his dumb ass thinks the way to fix it is to bring things back to normal.

but smith, you say, what about when ed was happy??? well my friend, izzy is a cynical little shit and he just saw ed getting his heart broken. (which again. did very much happen.)

i headcanon that izzy regrets saying the things he said only days after - he can brush off the fact that ed cut off his toe, he can deny his worry and assume that ed simply had to go hard in the other direction to balance out - but when it doesn't stop, izzy thinks he may have made it worse. he doesn't know how to fix it. my izzy is not an evil villain, he is just A Dumb Little Guy.

in summary, izzy has the emotional intelligence of a block of clay and a good portion of his general dickishness throughout season one was just due to a lack of understanding what the fuck was actually going on. thank u for coming to my ted talk.

headcanon: Glass has two bowls inon his desk, a fruit bowl and a junk bowl. The junk bowl is his bowl and for him alone as the fruit is for everyone else. And he gets really mad whenever someone takes something from the junk bowl.

so naturally, during the flirting and getting together process of their relationship, Jack accidentally takes something from the junk bowl and Glas just Goes on him. Just starts fistfighting Bright, and winning. Basically nearly beats him to near unconsciousness and Jack was hauled off to the medical side of the site.

Fast forward in them actually being together and Glass remembers that incident and more importantly remembers he hasn't exactly apologized to Jack about that and Jack is like

Bright: no that was actual kinda hot of you. I liked that

Glass: we're not going to go into that one tonight

not me morbius posting in the year of our lord 2023 but i just watched eddy burback’s watching morbius five times video and it got me thinking about the potential milo’s motive had

the suggestion of milo being possessive over morbius that they then just kind of ignored could’ve been a really unique motive. yes, being resentful of able bodied people after being disabled his entire life works but what if they capitalised on morbius essentially claiming him (that again goes nowhere)? he renamed him, he saved his life. in milo’s mind, they could have ownership over each other. they share the same rare illness and became friends, they managed to live longer than they expected, there has to be reason they met, right? something higher than just coincidence, it was fate

that then gives a good explanation as to why he funds everything he wants and why/how he became rich; hes not smart enough to follow him in his career so he injects himself into his life the only way he can: with his money. play more to him being obsessed with morbius and wanting to be a vampire so they can be the same again; not to be healthy or better than humanity, only so they share this super rare and unique to them connection again and thats why he kills the nurse and the father figure doc and attacks marlene. they were threats to his place in morbius’ life and that couldn’t happen

get rid of the “we’re better than everyone, we can be gods” or whatever it was and have his entire motive being his obsession over morbius
