Okay y'all I've seen this three times now, why are people just copying-over other folks tags when they reblog things now? And I don't mean using the same simple labels, I mean straight-up just copying whole-ass tag conversations/meta/jokes/etc.

What fresh hellsite hell is this?

Okay I'm not saying that this semester's students suck ass bc I'm not there to teach them, but isn't it just such a coincidence that the vast majority are failing so miserably and they don't have someone who will tutor them outside of class and go over notes and skills with them, while the previous semesters did have that and the majority passed? Super interesting stuff. Too bad we'll never know if things could've been different if they had just fucking paid me :)

man if anyone else was in my situation I'd tell them "noooo don't listen to the people in your life who tell you you're making excuses and just being lazy, it's clear that you're in pain, not to mention executive dysfunction makes everything so much harder and depression draining you immediately after one action, be kinder to yourself" however. i am not anyone else

#parents 🤝 old therapist 🤝 friends a few years ago -> convincing me I'm lazy and making excuses to not do anything #it eased up a bit when i had the original crohn's scare bc suddenly ppl had to believe there might actually be smth wrong with me -#- and I'm not just faking my pain/it's just in my head. but the novelty of that passed even though it's still unclear if i have it or not #i don't know either. whether I'm being lazy or not. bc when I'm home alone for a week i DO do some of these things -#- that i normally struggle with. but 1 not all 2 as i mentioned i do need to lie down and recharge after everything #even if I'm not having stomach pains my muscles Do Not like me moving around that much but that might also be me being out of shape #which is think is what all those ppl i mentioned think. which is why they try to encourage me. it's not malicious or anything #but it still hurts a lot to hear. esp when it's coming from all directions and i still. can't. do. anything.#being told I'm just being lazy isn't as encouraging as they may think. tho at this point they're also expressing frustration-#- which i can't blame them for i mean I'd be frustrated too. i AM frustrated too #no one is meaner to me than myself after all #vent #man. that post hit hard akdlglg i didn't realize how much i have held up inside me abt this topic #I'm. really sad now. i just started the day and I'm already crying. damn

my parents being fucking weird has ruined so many of the activities queers typically salivate over

#my mom and dad used to go axe throwing with my aunt and uncle once a week #my uncle built a forge out of cinder blocks in my backyard and we moved it with us after for like ten years #my dad forged for a long time #even like. making and serving alcohol or some shit. my dad is an alcoholic who used to make his own mead #cottagecore ass lesbians?? my mom was an apothecary and my dad has always had a garden #dark academia ass gay people? my parents get into ethical debates to pass the time when they're in line in stores #art or singing or dancing? my mom was a theatre major her first time through college. we do that here #my mom used to customize jeans for her friends free of charge bc she could just draw on them to stim during long conversations #my siblings and i split up roles in musicals before we start them bc of my mom #dancing is about my grandparents but anyway they were competitive line dancers and that's not the only dance they did #everybody in my family has adhd and/or autism and there are no safe interests in this house #and my siblings would probably say the same thing about shit that i've hyperfixated on in the past that they cannot look at bc i #talked about it too much. i know enough about literature to make any normal person fall asleep. i have a borderline encyclopedic knowledge #of big cats. i literally read a series of encyclopedias as a child because i wanted to have a base knowledge of most things #how was i not diagnosed !!!!!! how did no one diagnose me !!!!!!!#and it's bc everybody in my family thought it was normal for me to read at a collegiate level in first grade. please be so for real rn #this turned into talking about my family's autism but isn't that what it was always about lmao #mer rambles

so many things to grade in the next ~24 hours and i am SO tired from teaching as well as the makes-you-tired disease but we're going to do the bare minimum of grading and call it a day ig

#just glad it's today and not yesterday when i could barely make it over to the table to host zoom office hours #i like bare minimum grading anyway; last year all i did was give out 100s on homework #it definitely is something that our supervisor expects me & other person w my job to have 1 day turnarounds on 30-40 #written/qualitative assignments via a long rubric while we are both actively very sick #idk. worst of both worlds you are in charge of everything about the class on paper but not the materials or the grading scheme #or the lesson plans or the course structure. etc.#good thing is you get to be the ultimate grade-enterer for a core class & pass everybody #but yeah. this place is so reliant on grad labor; now that 4(?) of us are sick &still doing our jobs but slower the world is in turmoil etc #theorycomp tag #carol overreacts to life #like; breaking news: a covid surge at the beginning of the semester when maskless undergrads are moving in means ppl will get sick #also: tried getting another person in the theory teaching force to cover one of my classes last friday and my supervisor was like #'they haven't been here long enough; they're not qualified' & like. idk #not allowed to cancel our own classes bc we have to keep up with her class but there aren't enough qualified ppl to get subs so ???#wack. truly wack situation #so called progressives/liberals when the pandemic isn't over and we aren't 'back to normal' etc

I'm halfway to my goal weight!!! 🥳🥳🥳

#I totally understand why some people may feel uncomfy reading these kinds of posts so I'll be sure to tag this for that crowd buuuut #I've been actively making healthier choices for myself! I've been trying to be more disciplined which isn't always easy!#I've been putting in effort and now I'm seeing the results! And I deserve to celebrate that!#My goal weight = my pre-pandemic weight + like 1-2kg because I actually felt and looked much better after gaining some weight (initially)#but then we were in lockdown for almost 2 years straight and things kinda spiraled HAHA #I finally look more like myself again and I'm very excited going forward because my goal after reaching my goal weight is to then try and #build some muscles! 😼 and I actually feel like I can do it now! i don't even know if i WANT to finish nursing at this point, like i fucking hate college rn and it's only an associates program but like. please i am so tired professors let me fucking sleep

#i have sociology discussion post and quiz to do along w notes to finish #nursing test and i have to set up the new laptop AND figure out the old login for the exam thing to download #spanish is actually my favorite rn and making me wanna go into linguistics but ¯\_ (ツ)_/¯#i know that class'll start being REAL fucking busy later #and clinical starts next week and my sister told me the hospital we're going to normally has bedbugs #and i'd fucking die if i got bedbugs. that is a level of physical and mental torture i couldn't endure #hate bugs hate parasites hate that shit touching me hate the potential of my bed/sheets/weighted blanket being ruined #this isn't me judging anyone w bedbugs btw. just saying because i don't want this taken out of context #the idea of having parasitic bugs crawling on me would set me off so bad it'd be like fucking high school again. i just know my limits #but also back to school lol i was supposed to do my sociology stuff last night and i tried to lay down for 20 minutes #fell asleep for 4 hours and slept through dinner. i am hungry :(#and now i have to stay up to do it instead #PLUS I HAVE A HUGE NURSING PROJECT DUE NEXT WEEK THAT IS EXPECTED TO TAKE 6 H O U R S #and i still have to do journal entries for ballet #at least my contacts fucking keep me from falling asleep on campus because i get so freaked about eye infection potential #BUT i also did pass my injection eval! ya girl can now inject im medication in a clinical setting
