I have a question: do you think that Soap is constantly telling others what a good job they’re doing, how proud of them he is, and to keep up the good work? Because I think he does. I think this man came out of the womb coded to be the light of so many people’s lives and I think it’s second nature for him to offer kind words and kind touches every chance he gets.

You with me? So, what if…what if he spouts so much happiness and compassion that people don’t think to check on him? Don’t even consider that he might need someone to tell him he’s doing a good job or that he might need someone to hug him for once? He knows how to be okay, he does, and he’s fine without people reciprocating his affirmations, but that doesn’t change the fact that it would be nice to receive even a fraction of it for once.

Stay with me. So, what do you think Soap would do, how do you think he would react, when Ghost tells him, “You did good, Johnny.”? Ghost doesn’t think anything of it because Soap is his soldier and it’s his job to keep track of him, keep him sane, but Soap? Soap, who hasn’t been told he’s doing a good job in months and is constantly battling the feeling that he isn’t doing enough and isn’t doing it right. Because I think Soap would shut down for a second, caught off guard by the sentiment, and then I think the tension he’s been carrying in his shoulders and in his back would melt and he’d smile the softest little smile and thank Ghost in the most genuine way that Ghost would have to rethink what he said, because why was Soap acting like he’d just hung the moon?

Why is Ghostsoap a god tier angsty ship?

It goes both ways.

Ghost:

Traumatized silent giant who built his walls so high to keep others out and to keep himself together, and the bright busy-body that scaled those walls with a grin like he was climbing a tree. The ray of sunshine and cool blue eyes that keeps him grounded with their touches, voice, and presence that brings light into his lonely, cold life.

Soap:

Hyper fire-starter in a constant struggle with his insecurities and need to please, and the quiet, steady rock that helps him cope and stay grounded. His pillar who let's him fidget, talk endlessly, and offers him a place to hide when he feel overwhelmed without judgement

In all seriousness I think they're adorable! Wasn't super sold on it at first but they won me over, especially now that they're doing the smart thing which is friends first, romance later instead of rushing into it because of puppy love and peer pressure

Definitely not the thing that has my full attention this season (scratch backstory, jinx) but some of my favorite episodes involve them and I'm not opposed to seeing them get back together, especially now that Ollie is officially an ex-ghost hunter (although he will probably have to sort out the deal with his family before then)

My friends can attest Mollie has my heart and while I don't do ship art all that often I have caved just a few times for them <3
