A lot of shows and stuff try to convince me that insert group are a family.
When really they aren't.
And it's something Bungo stray dogs has managed to accomplish.
The Detective Agency feels like a family.
Everyone but Noami and Junichiro were against saving Atsushi until Fukuzawa ordered them too.
Saying Atsushi is one of them, he is family and that's all the reasoning they need to save him.
And I thought that's were this ends, they'll remain as coworkers.
But they don't.
Kunikida and Atsushi choose against going with everyone on the murder Mori express and it doesn't cause an argument.
Doesn't cause any divide between them.
Ranpo, the one arguably taking this whole thing the worst, is reaffirming Kunikida's ideals and that he's the best of them.
He extends an olive branch to Atsushi so he can contribute in a meaningful way and not feel like a burden.
Even against the entire Port Mafia, with the stakes this high, the Agency sticks together.
Kunikida and Dazai are constantly at each other's throats, and yet they care about each other so much.
To the point Kunikida doesn't know what he'll do without him. That without Dazai I can't even face the Port Mafia, nevermind this threat.
And the first thing Dazai says to Sigma upon his release is that he missed having Kunikida around.
Kyouka wasn't even an official member, the city was going to be destroyed and Dazai spent the time telling her that people can change.
So that she'd pass her entrance exam and could survive.
In the Manga after Fukuzawa agrees to take Kyouka in, the police Detective comes in for a job and wonders if Kyouka is the killer they're after.
Atsushi makes up a story and when that doesn't do it, Fukuzawa straight up says she's his grand-daughter.
All this seconds after she becomes one of them.
Junichiro in his first mission with Atsushi, gets injured and tries to get him to leave them behind.
To save himself.
Kenji enters his rage state after Tecchou tells him that Atsushi is going to be tortured.
Fukuzawa literally breaks his own vow to work alone, every single time he recruits someone.
They are a family.
And it's not just them.
Kouyou was genuinely worried about Kyouka leaving the Port Mafia because she knows how it ended when she tried to leave.
She doesn't want the same fate for her.
Higuichi and the black lizards essentially defy orders to go rescue Akutugawa.
Because they care that much for him.
The scene of Kouyou, Chuuya and Mori drinking one of Chuuya's expensive treasured wines after saving the city really hits that home for me.
And that's without touching on Chuuya and Dazai's relationship, both in and out of the Port Mafia.
There's a lot of jibes, a lot of insults and a lot of care and trust.
And with family being such a theme, it makes me wonder if the two organisations that fell apart, were in part because they weren't a family.
The Guild and the Hunting Dogs.
Both organisations where everyone was essentially coworkers.
Lucy was dropped the minute she wasn't seen as useful anymore, becoming a traitor when she bonded with Atsushi.
Poe didn't care for the Guild, he just wanted to meet Ranpo.
Fitzgerald had a family he wanted to save (funny how he's the strongest member) and saw anyone else as pawns.
Nathaniel... Is fucking crazy but went off the deep end because he truly cared for Margaret and couldn't exist in an organisation he believes used her.
Leaving behind Fitzgerald and Louisa, who's bond becomes a lot more than simply a boss and his subordinate.
They genuinely care for each other and it's their teamwork that allows Fitzgerald to possess the eyes of God surveillance company.
As for the Hunting Dogs, Fukuchi wanted a team of soilders and realised too late they were more than that.
Tecchou throws aside justice to find Jouno.
Jouno found what it felt to care and help others and that fundamentally changed him.
Tachihara cares for them but he found his family and his place in Port Mafia.
He was able to go of his revenge for his brother, because he had already gained what he lost. He didn't need to keep hurting and hunting anymore.
One by one they all turn on Fukuchi, a man who believes in sacrificing 500 people to potentially save thousands.
He sees them as simply pawns, a means to an end and they turn their backs on him.
Breaking the hunting dogs and his rouse apart.
The irony being Fitzgerald was doing all of this for his wife and Fukuchi was doing it all for Fukuzawa.
... Idk if any of this makes sense but yeah 😅

Okay, so I am on the verge of tearing my hair out over this, but i don't want to deal with drama so I'm putting it on my dead sideblog.
Miguel is NOT the villain. He's the antagonist! They aren't the same thing!
Every post i see where people are talking about "Oh how didn't the realize how Crazy/Mean/Villainous Miguel was?" Keep forgetting the CONTEXT of Miguel being angry with Miles' actions.
The context of it being, Miguel tried to change his own story, because it was fucking terrible and he just wanted some happiness for once. He went against the literal FATE of the world that had been written for it, 'canon', so the world unraveled.
Literally imagine the fate of the worlds as a woven tapestry, him changing the story was him tearing out a stitch. Might seem minor in the onset, but that torn stitch leads to the surrounding ones coming undone eventually culminating in the tapestry unraveling.
Miguel's fucking DAUGHTER died in his arms!
And then he goes back to his world. And this fucking terrible experience of what happens when you fuck with fate and mess around in other universes makes him look into other universes, this time with the intent of preventing the same from happening to them.
Whether that's by hunting down the anomalies that manage to pass between the dimensions or what have you.
Through this he gathers various Spider's to his cause. He accumulates HUNDREDS of them! They are in support of his mission!
Miguel is the 'leader' of this group because he's the one who founded it, the one who does the most actual work regarding it, made the technology, set up a building for the Spider's to socialize in, etc.
Also, his looking into other universes likely includes him feeding that worlds information into his AI. He has literal statistical data as to what are considered foundational events across the multiverse, especially in regards to Spider's.
When the anomaly opens up on Pavitr's world after Miles saved the police captain there's a comment made about how Miguel has teams to deal with it. That it's happened before and generally the world is lost regardless of their efforts.
It's not just Miguel's traumatic experience pushing him into keeping to 'canon' events. It's likely multiple other instances of the same/similar happening to other Spider's!
And here's where we get into his behavior towards Miles. Yes it's fucking terrible, i won't argue that.
But Miguel is looking at this teen who's saying "I'll do what I want!" Ignoring that Miguel isn't feeding him some bullshit line about how he needs to let his dad die so he can 'be like the other Spider's ' He's telling Miles not to save his dad because if he DOES the world will end. Billions of lives will be gone.
Miguel thinks Miles' selfishness is that he believes his dad is worth more than a whole world of people. And he has super advanced programming that has done the calculations TELLING him that Miles' can't change fate without the world ending.
Miguel isn't somehow the ultimate leader of the Spider's either, the others AGREE with him that Miles can't save his dad because of what the consequences would be.
Most of the hundreds of Spider's are adults or equivalent. They can make their own choices and form their own opinions and they AGREE with Miguel.
Because being a Spider is being a hero, and being a hero is constantly living God's most fucked up trolley problem. "Do i save this bus full of people or the one person I care about? Do i let this group of innocent bystanders get killed by an attacking villain or do i catch my girlfriend from her fatal fall?"
And without fail every hero Spider chooses to sacrifice the one to save the many.
Miguel hears Miles say he wants to save his dad, in his mind saying he would let the world end, and doesn't consider Miles as a proper Spider-hero, he's too selfish to be one.
The problem is, Miles is a teen, he has these amazing abilities and no real interest in listening to authority figures. Someone trying to act as an authority figure and telling him the only way he can be a hero is by letting his dad die isn't going to fly.
And of course, even though the other side has actual evidence and math to back it up Miles thinks it doesn't matter. That he can do whatever he wants because why wouldn't he be able to?
He's a teen hero who has largely gone against small-time criminals up to this point and doesn't see why he wouldn't be able to save everyone and be happy.
Even with this context, Miguel does fucked up shit. He definitely takes it way to far, a fact which Peter B seems to realize too late. He's a 30-40 something man traumatized by his experiences seeing a teen loudly shouting he's going to do the same thing and not listening to anyone about why he shouldn't.
The way he attacks Miles is insane and feral and like he HATES him. Which makes no sense given that up to this he seems like a tired grumpy guy who's the only serious person in the workplace, and they've only just met.
He gets insanely angry with Miles, probably partially because he's projecting his self-loathing onto Miles. He hates himself and sees himself in Miles and hates Miles for it. He believes that Miles actions have likely already damned Pavitr's world, and now he's going to go damn his own?
Of course, this being a story of a teen hero Miles will likely end up able to save his father and not lose his world because of it all. And Miguel will likely get in some serious fucking trouble for how crazy he went at Miles.
But Miguel isn't the villain, he's not acting to harm others or out of his own selfishness. He's the antagonist, he's trying to stop Miles [the protagonist] from achieving his goal.

Even the follow up to that godforsaken "Gale was a revolutionary king! Prim's death was unnecessary!" post made no damn sense and missed the point of the series entirely:
“We didn’t need Prim’s death for us to know that Coin was bad and that war was bad! It was senseless!”
That’s the point. Her death was senseless. It had no meaning.
There was no reason for her to die, but these things happen in war. Suzanne Collins herself said that she always knew that Prim was going to die even when she started writing the books.
“Having Gale, an oppressed Brown person, be held responsible for Prim’s death (a White character constantly representing innocence), was ugly when he didn’t even kill her. It was a convenient way to end the love triangle and leaving Peeta (another White character constantly portrayed as good) as the only option .”
Now, here’s where my opinion will get controversial: read the books without the lens of identity politics and maybe you might understand the point. Now, I’m not saying to ignore the aspects of race completely (there’s a reason why District 11, a district full of Black people, was so heavily policed). But, notice how Collins intentionally never left the race of some characters like Rue and Thresh up for debate. She was explicit in her depictions of POC. While Gale and Katniss could be read as Native coded and therefore POC, Collins herself never made it clear just what their races might be. It was purposefully left ambiguous, left up to the reader’s interpretation.
But, even if we follow your interpretation, Peeta and Gale were never supposed to be “good vs bad”. Peeta, probably due to a life that was a bit more privileged than Katniss and Gale’s, represented diplomacy in the just-war debate. Gale, understandably due to his life experiences, tended toward violent remedies. A lot of us do not blame Gale for his rage nor his violence because, again, violence was necessary for revolution. The only thing that went wrong is that his rage began to know no bounds and he began to disregard the humanity of other people, which was exploited by Coin.
Gale had always had a tendency to dehumanize other people: in Book 1, when Katniss was expressing worries about killing people in the arena and he said “it’s just like killing animals, how different can it be, really?” All throughout Book 3 (and even in parts of Book 2),  he and Katniss experienced disagreements when it came to what was justifiable during war. Him having the idea to bury the people in the mines when that is the same thing that killed his father, him not understanding why Katniss would care about the fact that her prep team was being tortured for stealing food (when Gale was whipped for poaching), and him helping to develop a weapon that essentially weaponizes human compassion (one bomb that draws people to the wounded, another that kills them all). It is the idea behind the weapon that killed her sister. Of course she was going to connect Prim’s death to Gale even though it wasn’t his fault.
Katniss said herself that Gale’s anger was not what she needed to heal after the war because she had enough of it herself.
And not every Brown man depicted in the series was “rageful and violent”. Katniss’ father, someone that could arguably be Brown, was a source of joy for Katniss, a source of life. It was through his teachings, through his musicality, that not only kept Katniss alive, but also aided Katniss in maintaining her humanity and connect with other people (singing for Rue, singing for Pollux, how Peeta ended up falling for Katniss.)
"The books are about war blah blah blah but at the end of the day, the theme of Mockingjay was that the oppressed fighting back will be just as bad as the oppressors and blinded by rage and hatred! What type of message is that?"
Again, The Hunger Games was not meant to be a story on “how to lead a revolution”. It was a story about war: what consistutes a war, what is justifiable during war, how do we maintain our humanity during war, etc. Collins used the "oppressed vs the oppressor" to create a conflict that would require a revolution and then war. However, during this war, innocent men, women, and children on both sides of the war died senselessly. The message it was sending was not “both sides bad", but that even during a justified war, living in a world where war is necessary is not beneficial to anyone. It was anti-war, not anti-oppressed-fighting-back. That’s the message it was sending.
Please critique the books for what they are and not what you wished them to be.

AITA for trying to protect my girlfriend from a creepy stalker.
I (20M) have a childhood friend C (20F). Recently I found her again at an opera house singing! When I went to greet her after the performance she lied about not knowing me. This is the beginning of where I may be TA because she had fallen a bit ill and had to stay in her dressing room. When I went to knock I heard a voice and well… listened in. The voice was of a man telling her she could love no one else! When she left I immediately went inside to investigate but found no one there.
I approached her later on this matter and she scolded me (which I fully admit is deserved) but admitted someone was watching her every move. But again, I think I may be TA because I was constantly begging her to tell me the truth even when she was scared… Some days she would just go missing without a trace! It was utterly terrible…
Later on she decided to propose a secret engagement with me! I only had a month left to be with her because I had to go on a trip which wouldn't guarantee my return. But I didn't want to tell her because I didn't want to make her nervous but inevitably I had to. But she still wanted to spend time with me before I went. She also had a new ring on her hand… like an engagement ring. I decided to marry her, and my family disowned me later on for bringing dishonor on the family but I was fully determined to set her free so I didn't care. Around this time her coworker started to harass her because she believed she was upstaging her. She used her followers against C and the new managers at her workplace were the ones to lie to said coworker because they wanted C out. I was the only one on her side during that time and was even more convinced I had to stay by her side.
Near the end of our month however, she finally told me everything, how her stalker E (50M) kidnapped her during those missing days and how he threatened to kill everyone she loved. The ring was from her stalker as a sign of his protection. We decided to run away together that very night but I… once again I may be TA, asked her to throw the ring away because I wanted to buy her one. She was upset and I really don't know what came over me, still demanded to throw it away. Long story short it was thrown away but she was devastated.
Later into the night however while giving her final performance… she got kidnapped yet again. No one was of help, the police were utterly incompetent, and I started lashing out in a fit of rage, threatening to kill said stalker. One thing led to another and I did manage to find a man who could help me find C. I had my chance to kill E but missed, and for a while got the worst experience of my life… at the end C did manage to free us, and we ran away together. I apologized to her for everything, and she accepted my apology. It took a while to get past my terrible behavior and she loves me better for it now, but AITA for how I dealt with the matter?

Bad Romance ~ P.P
chapter six: you wish you never ever met her at all
series masterlist and series playlist
Tumblr media
“New York City resident Ben Parker was shot outside a local bodega after a robbery took place. He was pronounced dead on the scene and leaves behind his loving wife, May, and a nephew.” You read out loud To Venom as you skimmed an old article you had found online.
“Does it say the nephews name?” Venom asked as it came out in its snake like form to read the article as well.
“No. They must’ve wanted to protect his privacy.” You replied as you scanned the article for the nephews name.
“The nephew must be Spiderman.”
“Must be. That’s awful. I feel so bad for him.” You sighed and rested your chin in your hand. You had met up with Spiderman every night for the past week and had developed a friendship over a short amount of time. The more time you spent with him, the more you wanted to get revenge on the man who killed his uncle.
“What do you want to do?” Venom asked you as it read your mind.
“I want to find this guy and eat him alive.” You said, mind already made up.
“How do we do that?”
“That’s a good question.” You realized. “How do we do that?”
You spent the next few weeks out on patrol every single night. You scoured every neighborhood in New York in search of a man with a star tattoo on his wrist. You followed men to their cars, broke up fights, and stopped muggings to try and find the man you were looking for. For every man you came across, you checked the inside of his wrist for the tattoo. After weeks of searching, you still hadn’t found him. In the meantime, Peter noticed you were extremely tired at work, constantly yawning and looking like you hadn’t slept in days. He tried to ask you what was wrong, but you never told him much. He had no idea you were exhausted from searching for the man who killed his uncle.
On your third week of searching, you broke ground. You stopped a robbery of a local convenience store and when you pulled the sleeve back of the man who tried to rob the store, you found a star.
“Finally.” Venom snarled before licking the side of the man’s face.
“Please. I won’t do it again. Just let me go.” The man pleaded.
“You’re right. You won’t do it again. Because you won’t live to get the chance.” Venom growled. The man started to scream, but you bit his head off before he could make a sound. You took his wallet out of his pocket before eating the rest of the body. You then transformed back into yourself and took a seat on the ground.
“What’s his name?” Venom asked you as you pulled his ID out of his wallet.
“Flint Marko. Dumb name.” You snorted as you read his drivers license. You grabbed a sharpie from behind the counter and wrote “FLINT MARKO” across the top of the report you had written on him. You knew the details of what Flint did from the story Spiderman told you, but you didn’t know the man’s name until now.
“Perfect. Spiderman will be so happy.” You smiled proudly at your work.
“Why do you care so much about Spiderman?”
“What? What do you mean?”
“We went through all this trouble to track this guy down just so you could get revenge for Spiderman. We could’ve been eating bad guys every night but you insisted that we find this guy.”
“Yeah? So what?” You shrugged.
“Why did you try so hard to do something for Spiderman? What has Spiderman ever done for us?” Venom asked. You thought about it for a second but didn’t have an answer to give. For some reason you didn’t understand yet, you had a deep desire to make Spiderman happy. You felt strangely protective over him, a sharp contrast to the way you’d been feeling towards men lately.
“I don’t know.” You said after a minute. “I just wanted to do this for him. He wasn’t scared of us. He was nice. And I didn’t think anyone was gonna be nice to us anymore. Not when we look like this.”
Before Venom could say anything, you heard police sirens in the distance. You quickly got off the floor and ran away before the police arrived.
The news of a gigantic celestial sticking out of the ocean buried any news of Flint Markos death. Peter didn’t even see the report that another man had gone missing until a week after it happened. When he saw a picture of Flint on the cover of a tabloid as he passed by, all the color drained from Peters face. It was 7 years later and Peters first time seeing Flints face without the sunglasses, mask, and beanie, but Peter would recognize him anywhere. His hands shook as he reached forward and grabbed the news paper, quickly flipping to the page that had the details on the murder. As Peters eyes scanned the report that had been left at the crime scene, his worst fear was confirmed. The details he had told Venom were all there to explain why Flint had been killed. Peter felt sick to his stomach at the thought that someone had been killed because of a story he told. One the one hand, he felt relieved that the man who killed his uncle was no longer out there. On the other hand, he felt directly responsible for a man’s gruesome death. Hot tears came to Peters eyes but he didn’t really know why. He thought about the night Ben died and how he didn’t do anything to stop the man with the gun. He thought about all the times he went looking for that man when he was first bitten. Then he thought about all the times he wished that man had died instead of Ben.
“Hey kid, you have to pay for that.” The man at the newspaper stand said, tearing Peter away from his thoughts. Peter quickly put the newspaper down and kept walking but the pit in his stomach never left.
Meanwhile, you were busy getting ready to kill your next victim. After checking out the building that your next victim worked at, you walked back to your apartment with a smile on your face. Killing men didn’t phase you anymore. Now, it felt like second nature. You could no longer tell where you ended and Venom began. Sometimes that scared the shit out of you, but sometimes you were okay with it.
You opened your bedroom door and were surprised to see Kate sitting at your desk with your laptop open. She was pale white and sitting there with her hand over her mouth.
“Hey, Katie. Sorry I’m late. I hope you weren’t waiting long.“ You said as you leaned down to kiss her. Kate moved her face away, making you frown in confusion.
“Kate? What’s wrong?” You asked quietly. You followed her eye line and looked at the laptop in front of her. Your heart dropped when you saw the latest report you had written up was still open on your laptop.
“Oh.” You gulped and looked at Kate.
“You wrote this, didn’t you?” She said as she pointed to the screen.
“No. I was just looking at the latest report.” You lied and looked to the side.
“The last guy killed was someone named Flint Marko. This report is about a man named Michael Morbius. Who, according to Google, is still alive.” Kate shouted as she got out of your desk chair. You gulped again and felt your hands getting sweaty. You hadn’t felt scared like this before you bonded with Venom, but the way Kate was looking at you made you feel weak.
“He’s the next victim, isn’t he? He’s your next victim.” Kate asked as she pointed at you.
“Kate, please. I can explain.”
“Okay. Go ahead. Explain.” Kate shrugged and folded her arms.
“These are bad guys, Kate. They’re really, really bad. And I can stop them. I do stop them!“
“So you’re the one killing these men? It’s been you this entire time?” Kate asked as her face crumpled.
“Yes. But Kate, I can explain.”
“Explain what? How you’re a murderer?”
“I’m not a murderer. I’m just…” You trailed off and tried to search for the right words.
“Just what? Just killing people?”
“I’m not killing people. I’m killing boys. There’s a difference.” You said with a slight roll of their eyes.
“No, there’s not!” Kate shouted and threw her hands up.
“Please, just listen to me. I’m not a murderer, okay? The last guy I killed, he was a murderer. He killed Spider-Man’s uncle in cold blood. I would never kill an innocent person like that. I go after men who are actually guilty.”
“Oh my God. Oh my God.“ Kate gripped her hair stressfully and looked at the ground.
“It’s really not that bad. I promise.” You pleaded. “And what about that guy Clint you work with? He kills people all the time.”
“He’s an Avenger. It’s different.” Kate said, pissing you off a little.
“How is that different?” You scoffed. “So it’s bad when I kill people but okay when he does it? Just because he’s not your girlfriend?”
Kate was quiet for a minute and folded her arms. She looked down at the ground for a long time and when she looked up, she had tears in her eyes.
“You’re not my girlfriend either.” She said without looking at you.
“What?” You asked quietly. Kate looked you in the eyes as a tear slid down her face.
“You are liar and a murderer. And I never want to see you again.” She said with a shaky voice.
“Katie. It’s me. You know me. I’m not a bad person.” You pleaded desperately.
“I don’t know you.” Kate said, mostly to herself. A silence fell between the two of you and she looked down again.
“I don’t think I ever did.” She said quietly. Kate went to leave your room, bumping your shoulder as she went.
“Please. Don’t leave. I…” You trailed off, making Kate stop.
“You what? You love me?” She laughed sadly. You shut your mouth and looked away from her, your silence speaking for you.
“That’s what I thought.” She said before leaving your room. You sucked in a sharp breath and started to cry now that you were alone. You flopped on your bed and cried into your pillow for a while until you felt like you couldn’t cry anymore. Then you got up, did a peace sign in the mirror, and wiped your face. Not wanting to be alone, you transformed into Venom and jumped out your window. Instead of hunting for your next victim, you searched the streets for Spiderman and eventually found him on top of the Empire State Building. Venom smiled in relief and walked over to Peter, who was in his full Spider-Man suit.
“Hey Spiderman. We’re so glad to see you. We’ve had a really bad-“
“Did you do this?” Peter asked and threw a newspaper at Venom. Venom frowned, feeling sad that Spiderman was being mean after how excited you had felt to see him. Venom picked up the newspaper and saw a picture of Flint Marko on the cover.
“Yes. You don’t have to worry about him anymore, Spiderman. We took care of it. We did this for you.”
“You did this for me? I didn’t ask you to do this! I never asked you to kill someone for me!” Peter shouted and snatched the newspaper back.
“Why are you yelling at us?“ Venom asked quietly. “We just wanted to do something nice for you.”
“This isn’t nice. This is murder. You’re a fucking murderer.” Peter shouted, getting angry in the way only men could get angry. Venom backed up a little as you felt fear for the second time that day. You hadn’t felt vulnerable in so long but Peter raising his voice at you made you feel like a little kid.
“I didn’t ask for this. I never asked you to do this.” Peter said quietly this time as he looked down at the newspaper. You were still eating yourself up inside over being called a murderer twice in one day.
“We wanted to do something nice for you because you were nice to us. We wanted to be like you.”
“You’re nothing like me.” Peter snapped. “I never kill people. You do it all the time. And you’re not just killing them, you’re doing it in a super horrific way.”
“Venom needs to eat brains to survive. We could kill and eat innocent people if we wanted to. Our life would be a lot easier if we did. But we’re not like that. We’re not a bad guy. We only kill people who deserve to be killed.”
“Well I don’t think you have the right to judge who gets to live and who gets to die. You’re just an average person who happens to have an alien inside of them that can kill people. That shouldn’t give you a pass to take people’s lives.”
“What we do keeps the bad guys off the streets permanently. And that keeps the city safer. Otherwise, they’re just gonna go to prison and then get released and do the crimes all over again.”
“And the legal system will deal with that when it happens.” Peter stated. “It’s not your job.”
“Okay, Spiderman.” Venom scoffed. “It’s not your job to fight crime either. But you do it because you can. You and I do the same thing.”
You noticed that you were using “I” pronouns and that scared you. You could feel you and Venom becoming one being and you weren’t sure if you could ever go back.
“But I don’t kill people.” Peter reminded you.
“Because you don’t have a symbiote to feed.”
“Maybe you don’t need a symbiote. Maybe no one in the city does.”
“Excuse me?” Venom growled and walked closer to Peter. Peter gulped a little but stood his ground.
“I protect New York City. And I do it in a way that’s ethical and legal. I think it would be better for everyone if you went away and never came back.” Peter said as he looked at the ground. Venom gasped a little and took a step back, feeling deeply hurt by what Peter had said.
“I thought you weren’t scared of me. I thought you were my friend.” Venom said quietly, the two of you feeling completely bonded into one now.
“I’m not your friend.” Peter shook his head. “I would never be friends with a monster like you.”
Your feelings of sadness quickly turned into anger when Peter called you your most hated word. Venom stalked up to Peter with salvia dripping from its razor sharp teeth. Peter gulped and backed up until he reached the edge of the building.
“You shouldn’t have called me that.” Venom snarled.
“Or what? I’ll be your next victim?” Peter laughed nervously and hoped the answer was no.
“Exactly.” Venom growled before opening its mouth to try and bite Peters head off. Peter, being Spiderman, leaned backwards and dove off the building. He landed gracefully on the ground and started to swing away. Venom dove off the building after him and started to chase him. The two of you ran through the streets with you gaining on Peter with every step. Venom finally caught up to him and grabbed him before slamming him into the ground. Peter crawled backwards and tried to get up but Venom grabbed his leg and pulled him towards him.
“Wait! I’m sorry. I take it back. You’re not a monster.” Peter said desperately when he realized he could not win this fight. When you heard the fear in Peters voice, it struck a familiar chord inside of you. You felt you and Venom become two different beings again and let up a little.
“You take it back?” You asked through Venom.
“Yes. I take it back.” Peter hastily nodded.
“So you’re our friend again?“
“Yes. I’m you’re friend.” Peter relaxed a little and stopped trying to get away. You both sat on the ground and looked at each other. Peter felt guilty suddenly for all the things he said. He had been so angry that you killed someone that he overlooked the reason you killed them.
“I’m sorry. I know you were just trying to do something nice for me. I appreciate you wanting to get revenge for me. I just wish you talked to me about it first. Because if you did, you’d know that I never condone killing.” Peter said in a soft voice.
“We understand. We should have spoken to you first. We are sorry.” Venom said sheepishly.
“I’ll forgive you if you promise to never do it again. I really think you can protect the city without killing anyone. Maybe we could even do it as a team.”
“A team?” You asked hopefully.
“Yeah. Spiderman and Venom. We could stop the bad guys and fight crime side by side. As friends.” Peter said and held his fist out. Venom smiled and fist bumped Peter.
“Friends.” Venom said happily. Peter tried to pull his hand back from the fist bump, but found himself stuck to you. There was a trail of goo connecting the two of you that wouldn’t let go of Peter.
“Oh. Sorry. This happens sometimes.” Venom said sheepishly.
“It’s okay. It happens.” Peter laughed and tried to free himself. He yanked his hand as hard as he could but he could not break free.
“Here. Let us try this.” Venom said and put its hand on top of Peters head for support. It pushed Peter back and leaned the other way, eventually setting the two of you free. You both tumbled back and when you looked at your hand, you realized his mask had stuck to it. Peter was having this realization at the same time as he slowly touched his bare face. His heart was pounding as his sweaty hands felt his own burning face. He looked up at you with wide eyes and you were already looking at him.
“Peter?”
“You know me?” Peter asked in disbelief. It would’ve been shocking enough if the gigantic, brain eating alien knew his name. But what made this even more shocking is that no one knew Peters name. He had been wiped from the memory of everyone who had ever knew him. There were only a handful of people who knew who Peter was and somehow, Venom was one of them.
Before either of you could say anything else, you heard footsteps approaching. Peter looked around and saw a pair of coveralls hanging over the rim of a nearby dumpster. You were still in disbelief that the boy from your coffee shop was the Spiderman. Your mind was spinning, especially since the sight of Peter in the suit seemed oddly familiar to you. You were so busy trying to understand how Peter was Spiderman that you didn’t see him hastily jumping into the pair of coveralls. Your attention was torn away from your thoughts when two people walked up to you. Peter was dirty and wearing the coveralls that completely covered his Spiderman suit. You were still sitting on the ground, holding Peters mask. They looked at Peter with concern before their eyes fell on you. They both gasped and backed away a little, making you feel insecure.
“Monster!” Peter blurted and pointed to Venom.
“What?” Venom asked and looked at Peter in disbelief.
“Help! I think it got Spiderman.” Peter continued as he pointed to the Spiderman mask in Venoms hand.
“Oh my God.” One of the people gasped. “That hideous monster killed Spiderman!”
“I’m calling the police. Don’t worry, honey. They’ll kill that thing.” The other person said as he pulled out his phone.
“You should run, kid. Before it kills you too.” The woman said to Peter. Peter looked at Venom and gave it an apologetic look before running away. Venom roared at the people before running away as well before the police could arrive. You ran for a few blocks until you smelled Peters scent nearby. Out of curiosity, you followed the scent and found Peter waiting for you in an alley way.
“I’m sorry. I’m so sorry. I don’t know why I just did that.” Peter said immediately as he walked up to you. Venom threw his mask at him and Peter caught it against his chest. He looked up just as Venom grabbed him by the throat and lifted him up.
“You are gonna pay for this. We trusted you and you…” Venom trailed off, feeling too emotional to speak. You could not believe that the sweet boy you had gotten to know from your coffee shop had just betrayed you like that. Not only had Peter doubled crossed you, but Spiderman had double crossed Venom. You felt twice as betrayed and you wanted to hurt Peter just as badly as he hurt you. There was fear in Peters eyes as Venom tightened its grip on his throat. As much as Venom wanted to kill him for what he had done, you still had a little control. You let go of Peter and dropped him to the ground.
“You’re a bad guy.” Venom said quietly. Peter rubbed his throat and watched as Venom walked away, his guilt intensifying by the second.
The next day, every single news outlet was reporting that Venom had killed Spiderman. There were pictures of Venom on every TV and newspaper in New York City. People had connected the dots and realized Venom had been the one taking all the men in the city. The city seemed to be divided between people who wanted to see Venom put to death and people who supported what Venom had been doing. Peter didn’t know what to make of it all. The guilt was absolutely destroying him inside over what he had done to Venom. He knew Venom wanted to gain the trust of the people before revealing itself as the person behind the missing men. Peter had completely ruined that by making the world think Venom had killed the friendly neighborhood Spiderman. All of Venoms hard work to keep the city safe would now be buried under the presumption that it had killed Spiderman. He knew that he needed to make an appearance as Spiderman so that people would no longer think he was dead. But before he did that, he needed some coffee. He walked down the street to your coffee shop, hoping that seeing your face would cheer him up. He walked by a brick wall and stopped when he noticed something strange. He backed up and saw that there was a report taped to the wall with a picture of Spiderman. Instead of the usual explanation of why the victim had been taken, it was an old article about Spiderman stopping a bank robbery. Peter took a closer and saw that certain letters had been underlined. Peter gulped and pulled his phone out of his back pocket so that he could write down all the underlined letters. When he had them all written down, he saw that you had left a secret message for him. This time, you had hidden the phrase,
“DEAD MEN CAN’T SHOOT WEBS”
Peter sucked in an sharp breath and quickly tore the report down. He crumpled it up and threw it in the nearest garbage to get it out of his mind. His hands shook as he entered the coffee shop, hoping that talking to you would put him at ease. The opposite happened because as soon as he made eye contact with you, his spidey senses hit him. Peter stumbled back a little from how hard his senses were going off. You gave Peter a huge smile, a little too big too be genuine. Peter gulped and approached your counter, palms sweaty and arms heavy.
“Hey Peter! I’m glad to see you alive and well. The usual?” You asked in an overly cheery tone.
“Um…” Peter trailed off, finding it hard to speak with how badly his senses were going off.
“You got it.” You winked at him and turned around to make his drink. Peter watched you as you made it, thinking once again about that interview with supposedly never made it to. You turned around and gave him his drink, still keeping the smile on your face.
“Th-thanks.” Peter stammered as he took the drink.
“Ew! Spider!” One of your coworkers screamed and pointed to a spider running along the counter.
“I got it!” You announced cheerfully before slamming your bare hand down on the spider. You looked up at Peter through your eyelashes as a smile slowly tugged at your lips. Peter gulped again and grabbed a napkin out of the napkin dispenser so that he could hold it out to you.
“Aw. Thanks so much. What a good friend.” You gushed as you took the napkin from him. You gave Peter a sweet smile as you wiped off your hand.
“Have a nice day, Peter.“
“You-you too.” He stuttered and never broke eye contact with you.
“Thanks.” You smiled. “And stay safe out there. You never know what monsters are lurking around the corner.”
A chill went down Peters spin and his spidey senses made every single hair on his body stand up. The use of the word “monster” felt intentional but Peter didn’t want to believe what he was started to suspect. He reached for coffee and when he did, you grabbed his wrist and pulled him closer to you. Your lips brushed his skin with every word as you whispered in his ear,
“You’re gonna taste my venom.”

I'd love to hear about your AU!! It sounds really interesting:)
omg ok ok i hope you are ready for unhinged and messy rambling..... anyways more about angels of death role reversal au below
first off i want to say this au is 100% inspired by this amazing art, like when i tell you seeing that work FLIPPED something in my brain. go show that artist some love!!!
so basically in this au all of the floor masters have essentially "swapped" roles, but they are still their canon ages because that is just. infinitely funnier to me
anyways the swapped roles are as follows:
ray and zack
danny and cathy
gray and eddie
and now here's the rough background and whatnot for each character:
zack
following the role of ray in this au, zack wishes to die and wants ray to kill him. his personality is much more apathetic and a bit of a 'blank slate', similar to canon!ray. unlike canon!ray, however, zack is still not smart sdfgsdfgsgfs. he never learned how to read in this au. he very much still relies on his strength and survival instincts to get by, he is just much more... chill about it.
he was set on fire by his father when he was young, but he never developed a fear of fire like his canon counterpart. instead, he has a more apathetic view on it. he does not wear bandages in this au. he does, however, wear the same hoodie, but the arrow resembles a cross (like shown in the art i linked above). he also has a cross necklace that was given to him by his therapist, cathy (we will get to that later...)
zack was never sent to the orphanage after being burned, but instead he remained at home with his biological parents, and of course it was not a good home life :/ his parents saw he was strong enough to survive being burnt alive and basically said "hey, this kid's resilience might be useful to us" and so they kept him around so he could do the chores/housework and other odd jobs to get money, usually so his parents could buy drugs and/or booze. he never went to school or got any education. zack had to do what he could to feed himself and get by. due to doing just about any sort of physical labor to get payment, he developed strength and street smarts.
his parents viewed him as "a monster" due to his appearance, and constantly reminded him they only kept him around because he was useful. in zack's mind, he thought maybe his parents would love them if they were monsters too.
when zack got the chance, he would try watching movies, and that became one of his favorite past times. he particularly liked thriller/slasher films.
zack continued to live with his parents until he was around 19. he never thought to leave because he didn't know anything else, and there was a part of him that did care for his parents (similar to canon!ray's feelings towards her own parents). one day, zack's mom was caught with another man, causing his dad to flip out and stab both of them to death. zack, being home, heard and saw everything. his dad tries to kill him too, but zack remembered one film he saw with this similar scenario, and ends up successfully - and fatally - stabbing his father. as a means to "fix" things, zack sets their bodies on fire, thinking this made his family "more equal" now that they've all been severely burned (or, in other words, he is making everyone look like the monsters they truly are)
when the police came to take zack away, they weren't arresting him on murder charges, but instead they (correctly) saw he was a victim acting out of self defense, so they send him off to therapy where he meets....... cathy.
and that's where the main story unfolds in a similar way to canon. cathy ends up becoming obsessed with zack, and begs eddie to let him have his own floor - B1. cathy gifts him a cross necklace, hoping it would help zack "fit in" as a floor master, but eddie places a bible on zack's floor and well.... we all know how it goes from there :')
small side note: zack never actually went by 'zack' before meeting ray, he was only ever referred to as isaac, and even called himself by that name. ray gives him the nickname 'zack'!!!
ray
ray is an infamous serial killer in this au, and is dubbed by the media as "the patchwork killer", due to her sewing up her victims after she murders them, as well as the patchwork all across her own body (again, like in the art i linked earlier)
like canon!zack, she is more deranged and outspoken, but she is still just as smart as her canon counterpart. despite (obviously) not attending school, she still loves to read and tries to self-educate herself in between killings. she really is just some weird 13 y/o girl doing her own thing in this au lmfao
despite her intelligence, she is still small and physically weak, making it difficult for her to kill people unless she has her handgun. she still keeps a knife in her bag as a back-up. even though she is small and rather weak, she is nothing to scoff at. she has killed many, many people, and sewn up their corpses afterwards to make them "perfect" in her eyes.
ray ends up teaming up with zack to take advantage of his strength and height, knowing it will help her escape the building.
ray grew up with her parents who owned an illegal orphanage, and her parents treated the kids pretty badly. they would often force ray to stitch up the wounds of the orphans.
ray got her appearance due to the abuse she endured from her parents, and her mother would forcibly sew her up after. ray ends up keeping the patchwork look on both herself and her victims as a means to "reclaim" what happened to her.
similar to canon!zack's fear of fire, ray has a fear of water. her father tried to drown her when she was younger, but her mother managed to save her. not out of love, but because she saw ray as someone she could use. ray has been terrified of the water ever since.
one day, ray is trying to stitch an orphan's wounds, but the kid ends up dying. ray, out of curiosity, decides to continue sewing the kid back together, in order to make them "perfect". when she's done and she looks at her work, a switch sort of just. flips in her brain. and she realizes she wants to kill more people and "fix" them in her own way. and so, she snaps and kills her parents, along with the other orphans, and "fixes" them to her liking.
after that, the story picks up and she lives her life on the run. i'm not sure if i would want to include ray's own "blind old man" in this au yet, nor how that would work, but yeah.
cathy
cathy's story is pretty similar to her canon counterpart's, but instead of becoming a jailer, she became a therapist.
she's a counselor of sorts for "troubled adults", and she uses her job to find the most "sinful criminals" (in her eyes), and study/punish them in her own way. her goal is to find the most "ideal criminal", and punish them for all of eternity. she wants to "fix them" by making them worse.
and, of course, when she meets zack... she believes he's exactly what she's been looking for. she wants to keep him by her side forever so she can understand him, and encourage his "sinful" behavior
danny
like cathy, au!danny is similar to his canon counterpart, but he's just a jailer now. he keeps people locked up so he can admire their dead, hopeless eyes until the end of time.
ray is someone he becomes obsessed with, because despite everything that happened to her, her eyes still sparkle with manic life. and he wants to be the one to snuff that light out.
gray
like canon!gray, au!gray also grew up in a cult, but instead of being the like. next chosen pastor or whatever, he instead was in charge of the graveyard. he views himself as a grim reaper of sorts; being in charge of guiding people to the next life by making their graves. he believes he is the only one capable of putting people to rest in the way god intended.
in the building, he becomes the grave keeper for all the sacrifices that pass through.
he takes an interest in zack, as he is the only floor master who really feels pity for him. he sees zack has suffered, and wants to give him the most "peaceful rest" as possible as a means to alleviate zack's pain.
eddie
yeah this 12 year old runs this whole murder building. and what about it!
anyways instead of being born into a grave-keeping family, eddie was born into a family of. pastors i guess gfdsgdfgsdfg he basically grew up only knowing church and. that's it
eddie's personality is an odd mixture of both canon!gray and canon!eddie's personalities. au!eddie is still childish and often lets his feelings get the better of him, yet he still gives off a more mature and regal aura.
like canon!gray, eddie became interested in testing if people were angels or sacrifices. if they were truly devoted to god.
eddie believes only he truly understands god, and therefore, only eddie can truly judge one's sins in place of god. he decides to start his little "experiment" when it's revealed albert will take over the family church instead of eddie, and eddie believed albert was the furthest from god one could get.
basically, he is trying to weed out "false gods" and those who follow said false gods
like his canon counterpart, eddie has a bit of a crush on ray. he views her as the perfect angel. he also views zack as the perfect sacrifice.
and yeah i guess that's about it! this is a really rough outline and there are definitely some parts to this au that could use some fine-tuning but overall, this is an au i'm really attached to sfdgsfdgsdfgsdfg

My sister is becoming such a hardcore alcoholic she's developing medical issues and doing brainless concerning really dirty nasty gross shit. the other week she found a random broken glass jar of pickles outside and literally brought it into our apartment to put the BROKEN GLASS in OUR KITCHEN SINK and. She ate the pickles she had no idea were out there for long or where they came from
It's after 2 in the morning on a weeknight in an apartment building and she has been continuously on and off the phone in our living room so drunk she's audibly burping and hooting and hollering and GASPING at like the top of her lungs and is continuously talking about me because she is trying to start a fight
Like literally actually not even a lie picture this: a woman who is 28 yeara old saying that she doesn't wash her hair because she dyes it (blue by the way, big shock there), so it is constantly visibly oily and greasy and literally leaving musty smells on the pillows she sleeps on. this woman then comes into the room where you are in and haven't spoken to her, haven't acknowledged her, and are clearly trying to avoid her and the person you are with is also avoiding her, and she's coming in not even needing anything, literally just coming in to tell you you're greasy because she has a disorder thar causes her to seek conflict and actually start fights where more people would walk away
Like literally actually she would be a small child and would go up to a grown alcoholic man who was known to have a violent temper and have an attitude directly to his face even knowing he hurt our mom because she literally WANTS to fight and she can't control it and actually it would be really sad if she didn't act like a white trash monster all the time
On Christmas she went to a bar and called my mom at like THREE IN THE MORNING to pick her up and a cop told my mom that a gas station attendant called 911 because she was so fucking drunk they were concerned and if my mom hadn't been able to come get her my sister would have been charged with a drunken disorderly, and if you ask her about it SHE JUST LIES, as if my mom wasn't directly told by a police officer what happened
It's just. It's so fucking hard because you have someone literally starting fights with you, like literally actually she got her feelings hurt and lunged at me and I had to defend myself and now she cries that I attacked her. I said something to hurt her feelings and she chased after me with a solid glass vodka bottle and was beating on my bedroom door screaming in rage while mom watched horrified. My mom and I are scared of her insane alcoholic mood swings and we want her to move out and we want to never hear from her again because all we hear from her is the same old story we've heard her entire life: Emily is getting drunk and emotional and constantly causing herself severe, significant problems
I have to keep working to help support my mom in case we get evicted because of, I don't even want to call her my sister anymore, but it's hard when she literally goes out of her way to try and run both of us down. Our mom is almost 60 with chronic physical pain and this loser will literally bully her for weed she doesn't even need, like literally actually waking her up for it. There's only a 20 pound difference between us and she acts like I'm over 500 pounds when she is the one who is binging so excessively when drunk that we started deliberately limiting the amount of food in the house and she just thinks we're being lazy and not going grocery shopping but it's because of her
We just want her to leave but she doesn't even realize how much money it would take to get her out of here so she's just terrorizing the entire building in the meantime. and the saddest thing is my father literally doesn't even care because my mom told me he actually never even wanted kids to begin with and it explains SO much about his behavior. He heard my sister and I gad a physical fight and he literally didn't even care, he just said we knew what my sister was like before we brought her here and we got what we asked for.
I guess we did? Because as sad as it is to say, she's literally the exact same as she was when she moved away from us over 10 years ago and we had just been expecting her to have grown up in all these years, and me and mom have realized the reason she even moved away was ultimately because she wanted to run away and do whatever she wanted and has been spiraling ever since
It's just sad. I'm still trying to cut her out of my heart because it only gets worse from here. If she doesn't get treatment she isn't going to survive and she doesn't want treatment and she doesn't want to survive either. And I have to keep telling myself and my mom.... that unfortunately there's nothing we can do about that. And it's hard.

1 (looking at T*birama), 3, 8, 13, 16, 21, 22 & 23 for the asking game :3
(I also chose violence today)
the character everyone gets wrong
For Tobirama i just wish people would stop acting like he doesn’t have problems. It’s fine to like a character because you think they’re cool (a lot of people like Madara as well) but let’s not act all surprised when you realize that people hate that character for very valid reason’s (making lots of jutsu’s doesn’t make up for being a ninja racist/hateful jerkwad)
Also, everything people credit him with making in the village to ‘prove he’s the best hokage’ are things that were wrong with the system or other’s made better. Chunin exam (kids fighting kids. Wrong!), acadamy (good idea but kakashi and Iruka made it better by extending it to other’s so they could learn shinobi skills without expecting to become shinobi), Police force (making one entire clan the one’s in charge of a police force is NEVER a good idea. It does not show ‘trust’ it show’s that he thought they could only be useful to the village in one area)
screenshot or description of the worst take you've seen on tumblr
Ohhh there’s so many.
Right now i’m going to have to go with ‘Hinata didn’t care about her sister and was only on the mission because of Naruto’. Hinata love’s her sister and was trying to rescue her. She cared deeply about her sister and her being caught off guard by Naruto’s confession doesn’t wash that away. It means she was caught off guard
‘Oh but naruto said-‘
Yes, and Hinata’s not caught off guard by ‘we need to rescue hinabi’ because that’s why they’re there. She doesn’t need to be told why they’re there. She was on the moon and almost married a creep to try and get close to her sister and save her
Thinking about naruto in her dreams doesn’t damn her. We literally do not control our dreams and at this point she at least knows her sister is alive and she is actively trying to do something to save her
Stop shitting on my girl for her crush jfc
common fandom opinion that everyone is wrong about
Kakashi didn’t care about Sakura/Didn’t teach her anything
Tell me you didn’t read the manga without telling me you didn’t read the manga. Sakura is not the main character so if she’s not in the scene her development takes a back seat to Naruto’s, but Kishi constantly writes throughout the story about how much Kakashi cares about all of his students. He notices Sakura’s skill with chakra control, he teaches her the Qi release, he protects her throughout the war arc (which is an act of PLATONIC LOVE).
worst blorboficiation
You know what, Tobirama. Since we went over this
Love your man but stop acting like he isn’t a hateful douch canoe
you can't understand why so many people like this thing (characterization, trope, headcanon, etc)
Perfect good at everything Sakura. Hate it.
But ok i’ll choose another one. Bottom Kakashi. And i choose this specificlly because i’ve had people come at me for daring to not ship him exclusively as a bottom. 1) we have no idea of Kakashi’s canon sexual preference so it’s fair game all ways. I scroll past ‘pillow princess kakashi’ content you scroll past mine and leave me tf alone 2) it is ILLIGAL to talk about what a nice ass character’s like Obito and Gai have, and then not let Kakashi fuck them. That’s rude. 3) kakashi doesn’t ‘need to let lose and let someone else be in control’. That’s not even what being a bottom is. He can be the sub and still top his partner ffs
part of canon you think is overhyped
Pein arc. Honestly the only thing i would change is have Naruto actually use Kakashi’s number one lesson to him. Team work.
Also i’d have Iruka make the sacrifice to save Naruto, not Hinata. Hinata was beautiful and her reason’s were solid, but Iruka jumping in to protect Naruto would be beautiful. He’d still get his ass kicked but Naruto losing his cool would make so much more sense because we know how important Iruka is to him.
Also, that little part where Kakashi and Sasuke face off. I think i’d want the fight to be a wee bit longer, and for Kakashi to acknowledge danzo’s death and flat out tell Sasuke he does not care. Man did not give a shit about Danzo and he was not there at all because Sasuke ‘killed the hokage’. In fact, for Kakashi that was probably a gift because he clearly didn’t respect danzo since he fucked off out of the village when it was against the law to,
your favorite part of canon that everyone else ignores
Ohhh that’s hard to choose.
Maybe…. Kakashi turning away from Tsunade trying to give him a mission and walking away to go try and save Naruto and Sasuke.
A lot of people like to act like Kakashi only cared about Sasuke, but he clearly was willing to ignore the Hokage for both of his students and felt responsible for what happened even though it wasn’t his fault. Like the only thing he could have done was stayed behind so the sound four never got to Sasuke, but that would also involve ignoring hokage’s order’s and not going out on a mission
Oh, also him telling Jiraiya off for teaching Naruto the rasangan and telling him to talk to him about using it against friends. People constantly get on his case about chatting with Sasuke about trying to use Chidori on Naruto, but then conveniently forget he was trying to hold jiraiya responsible (it was jiraiya’s responsibility to talk to Naruto at that point. He’d told Kakashi to let him care for Naruto’s training so it was his job to ensure Naruto wasn’t using rasangan against friends)
Oh and JIRAIYA TELLING KAKASHI TO LET HIM TAKE CARE OF TRAINING NARUTO. People act like Kakashi just chose to focus on Sasuke cuz favoritism and ignore that he was being pulled two ways (between sasuke and naruto) until Jiraiya stepped in and told him to focus on Sasuke,
ship you've unwillingly come around to
Other than Yamato and gai (which i’m still meh on) i haven’t really ‘come around’ to any ship.

🐈 for a pet/animal-themed headcanon for Nora!
thank you so much for the ask!
thematic headcanons
Nora's had like a couple of pets growing up, although they were more like science projects for her school. Because she had trouble with school, due to unprocessed trauma, undiagnosed ADHD and so on, Nora struggled a lot with theoretical learning. She went to a bunch of different schools and one of them had this biology unit where their final project is to raise a chick. They were each given a packet of instructions and were told to record their chick’s everyday interactions for a week or so.
On the first day, a fourteen year old Nora ambitiously tackled the project by giving her chick a name- Ti. By day three, she ended up losing the chick in the house. Back then Uncle Tommy and she lived in this apartment so it wasn't that difficult to hunt down for Ti. However they eventually found out that Ti had attempted to fly out of the window and met a very untimely end. And so Uncle Tommy, having lost his patience, pretty much helped Nora finish her weekly report in one night, submit to the school and when asked where the chick went, she simply lied and crafted this very meticulous story about how Ti got into a fight with the neighbor’s dog and things happened.
Ever since then Nora hasn't wanted a pet. Uncle Tommy also withdrew her from all practical projects and decided it was best for her to just bite the bullet and get through regular school. Things didn't change until she went to college where she met her roommate Stephanie Graham. Stephanie was a huge animal person. She fed cats that came by on campus, would sometimes sneak them into their room and it was one such time where they had a cat that would climb up a tree and reach the window of their room on the second floor and became an unofficial resident number three. Nora was still reeling from her trauma of losing Ti, so she let Steph name the cat. They agreed on Griselda because it was ironically funny since the cat wasn't female and Grizz for short, because he looked like a grizzly bear.
Griselda pretty much helped them deal with their mental health throughout college. Grizz quickly found a spot near the window sill and kept Nora company while she pored over textbooks hours before the test. Sometimes he would be the first to wake her up by jumping on her bed like her personal alarm clock. While Stephanie was Grizz’s one true mom, the cat warmed up to Nora despite her not doing anything or being pet-friendly. In fact Grizz liked the chaos. Nora wasn't a fan because explaining that your street cat tore your homework is not the way to start a Monday morning.
Eventually Griselda left them. He had a new crowd of people to warm up to and his once abundant visits became sparse as the years went on. But that didn't mean he didn't visit them at all. He did. There was this one time where he followed Stephanie to her biochem class and refused to leave. He got into Nora's backpack and gave her a scare during a midterm. He scared the others in the dorms by bringing in dead mice and lizards and was a hit during parties among people who didn't prefer talking. Nora was one of them.
Before Silver, Nora would have this one dog constantly visiting her precinct. It was right after her passing her police exams, she'd just been absorbed into the force and almost everyday outside the precinct, there'd be this golden retriever dog that popped up. She took shelter near the entrance where it was nice and warm and soon enough, Nora and her only other friend she knew well at that time, Chloe from the IT department, and a couple others in her team would take care of the dog by feeding bits from their lunch. Soon, a couple of people pitched in for a dog bowl, a nice warm bed and some food and it became a routine thing at the workplace to keep themselves occupied. Being junior recruits, they weren't tackling a lot of high profile cases. They were still under observation for a while to assess their strengths while given mostly patrolling duty.
After a heated debate on the name over coffee, Chloe settled upon the name Key. The dog was clearly lost , considering she had a collar around her neck but no number or address. She also looked like she'd been wandering around for a while and they were more than happy to just give her a home, keep her until they could figure out what to do. Key wasn't completely a part of the family. Despite being a golden retriever dog, she was hesitant on socializing with others and perhaps saw herself in Nora who also didn't like socializing. The two of them would spend time outside. Nora would take her for patrolling duty, use that time to give her a couple of walks. Key warmed up her solely because Nora was one of those people who refused to look at the bulletin board with Key's meals planned out and gave her a lot of additional snacks. Plus it was fun being around her too.
Key’s presence boosted morale in the precinct for a short period of time. The new recruits hardly had time to get used to their surroundings and having a dog who is so happy to see you everytime you cross the street and enter the office makes people have an objectively better start to their day.
Eventually Key’s owner was found- a nearby botanist who had named her Milii which was well, not as cool as Key. She'd been looking for her dog for at least three months and she was glad that her dog wasn't starving in that period . It was a sad day at the precinct to say the least. Key/Milii had grown too attached to Nora and Chloe that she refused to recognise her owner. It took some persuasion in barks and pleas before she hung her head low and followed her owner back home.
Finally, Nora had Silver. Silver was Niko Borodin’s, a loan shark with a butcher shop as a front. It all falls under canon. Matty insists Nora adopt the dog because she has nowhere else to go. Nora named her Silver because she was steadfast as quicksilver. Silver is the most spoiled dog ever. Given the same comfort as Key, intense thought and worry as Ti and allowed to lounge around everywhere like Grizz, Silver lived a divorced child’s life. Basically Trystan insisted he take some responsibility too. After all, raising a dog is not so easy. So Silver would spend half the week with Trystan, the other half with Nora. Many have insisted they either move in together, considering they are already a thing and it is naturally the next step, but they are reluctant to for many reasons, with one of them being;
Silver has some very unique preferences. She likes the sunlight in Nora's apartment and loves the frolicking space in Trystan's penthouse. She likes that Nora feeds her nice snacks and Trystan splurges on chew toys and comes up with fun games rather than boring old fetch. Both of them take her for nice long walks, they are not hesitant to spoil her rotten and take her out for cases. She loves the car rides where she gets to stick her head out and feel the wind in her ears. She's happy being a child of divorce. Meanwhile Nora and Trystan are figuring out complicated schedules just to make the Silver Arrangement work.

'Mac the Knifed
First off, don't call the schmaltz police on me but I want to thank everyone who's liked/reblogged etc. my silly MK1 posts. They were a catharsis of sorts during last month that was the absolute shits for me. After giving the finger to the trainwreck that was MK11 (and my account having been inactive for a long time with also so many of my Tumblr buddies leaving), I've liked most of the bits and pieces of the MK1 story I've seen so far. The game's been out for almost a month now and we all naturally have opinions galore on how our beloved character(s) were treated (Rep fans, raise a glass). The last time I've actually played an MK game was 1999, so for me it's all about the story.
On to the topic at hand. Discussion of our Man of the Hour is under the cut.
For me the biggest revelation, naturally, was the surprising role that Ermac played in the story mode. Yes, he's still suppressed by NRS Brand Plot Armor™, but after nearly two entire decades Boon and company FINALLY got the damn message that fans still fondly remember his Deception storyline to this day.
And did they throw us a bone. The connection again with Kenshi and the resulting TK Bros moment with the rockslide, him again taking out five characters without breaking a sweat (including hand-to-hand combat; yes!!), and him again fighting Ashrah.
Most of all, he was actually important to the plot this time around, FINALLY making Jerrod frickin' relevant and — call it guilt by association if you will — made characters that I've never really cared for like Sindel and Mileena actually likable (and Ms. Useless herself, Tanya, a bit more tolerable), and this is coming from someone who was never a fan of his MK9 ending. I did have an issue with the large gap between chapters in which he appears, which in turn made his revelation as Jerrod seem somewhat rushed, but it's — to use a favorite expression of mine — complaining about the color of the couch in the mansion. Definitely a 9/10.
And despite all this...it's gone relatively ignored so far because people still won't quit bitching about his design.
Well, get the hell over it. His MK11 look is not happening. He's not a ninja anymore. And it's now clear as crystal why he's not masked. (I guess I'll be pedantic myself and say maybe he should've been masked after his creation and then taken it off when Jerrod took over.) It's already been three months since it was revealed, it was ONE shot in a trailer, and it looks far better in action. The same people constantly griping about Ermac looking like a mummy back in MKX are now going completely apeshit because more of his skin is showing this time around. Pick one or the other, folks. Can't we just put this crap aside and focus on his having a strong role in an NRS-era MK story mode for the first time?
Veering off topic a bit, but I've realized something else recently. Ermac went from a nonexistent glitch to having a badass distinctive symbol (his Deception chest design that's a mainstay to this day) and an iconic catchphrase. Other than Scorpion, who the hell else in MK can boast that? Maybe one or the other, but not both. (Plus, the telekinesis will never not be sexy.)
That's so much marketing potential for NRS but since Ermac is not either of The Big Two, they've elected to sit on their hands. What a damn shame. Hell, a spinoff game featuring the Outworld Six based on Kotal Kahn's ending (the best in MKX), with them squaring off against a maniacal Raiden to reclaim their realm, would've done wonders for their characters and been the GREATEST thing ever. It of course had a snowball's chance of happening but just as a fan of these guys it literally hurts thinking about the wasted potential.
Thank you for listening. The collection plate will now be passed around.

Chapter 2:
Death Send Us A Gentleman
Two weeks had passed, since Chara woke up in the hospital. Sweet, sweet death nearly kissed her goodbye. But somehow she survived.
Or through someone.
Because some stranger came by and left the doctors a package. They first thought it was a bomb, but when they actually opened it, there was a letter and a siringe.
"To our dear princess," it said. "It's time for her to open those red ruby eyes again."
It was a cure against the poison.
A miracle, they called it. But Chara called it a nightmare.
She didn't want to continue this life. This horrible life that felt like a bad black and white movie. With people that only looked at numbers and expensive clothing, but never her face. Those empty eyes and a broken smile.
Besides, the man that nearly killed her did look like death itself. Cold bones and a bloody red hood hugged her tight to him. To her savior. The one that was brave enough to actually kill her pretty face.
Papyrus, he called himself. It sounded elegant yet dangerous. Quite fitting for a killer like him.
And she wondered if she would ever see him again. So she started to search.
Alphys, her dearest friend, helped her with this. Although she was deeply concerned for Chara. She knew that this girl was reckless and didn't care about her health at all. But falling for the person that almost stole her last breath? Now that was something to worry about.
Aside from that, this man was really concerning. Because after some research, Al found out that this Papyrus guy wasn't searched anywhere! The police didn't even know about him.
There were people constantly dying in this city. Some said that the mafia was behind this. But was this man even a part of that? She couldn't say for sure.
But there had to be evidence somewhere. Pictures, videos, or anything! But no. This killer was a walking shadow.
How was this possible? He was a skeleton after all. He didn't have hair to dye, skin to paint, or real eye colors to change. Was this magic? Some evil cast? She truly didn't understand.
Or was the whole town part of his evil scheme? No, that couldn't be, could it?
She hoped not.
Loud coughing echoed from the gray, dirty walls.
In the middle of an empty room, there was a man tied to a chair. It seemed like he got stabbed in all the parts of his body. The knife was still stuck in his left arm.
His eyes were full of tears and his own blood dripped from his mouth. He wanted nothing more than to escape from this awful place. From this horrible man!
And yet he didn't talk like he should have.
The tall skeleton stood in front of him. Something maniac wandered over his expression, but calmed down quickly.
"What a shame, my dear friend," he said with a wide grin. "I was about to let you leave, once you told me where he is. But it seems like you no longer want to stay here with me and chat. How rude. But I will consider it."
The man looked up, hopeful but was met with hysterical laughter.
"Oh, no, no, no, no! You're giving me that look again! Those goofy eyes of yours, still looking for a way to escape from me. Still so full of life and hope. Do you really think you could mess with us and get away with it so easily?"
A dangerous tone entered his voice. He stepped closer to his face.
"I will ask you one last time." His mouth wandered to his ears and little, sweet whispers escaped it. "Where. Is. He. Just answer me this simple, tiny question and I won't tell a fly about you escaping."
The man winced. His eyes wouldn't meet his. And his mouth didn't open once.
A frown washed over Papyrus' expression.
"So be it then. You want to leave so badly?"
He stepped away and pulled out his gun. His eyes went cold and his finger hit the trigger.
"Then I shall give you your freedom."
With a bang a bullet shot through the mens chest. And then another. And another. And so on, until the floor was stained red.
His smile returned. The man screamed in horror.
"Did you really think I would make it that easy for you? Oh no, dear friend. This is the path you chose. Now you have to walk it alone. I only helped you with the first steps of the road."
So yes, his mission was actually to gather information. But this stubborn man just wouldn't talk. There was no other way out of this, right? He'd just tell the police who wanted his boss dead, once he opened his mouth. That's really all it was good for anyway.
There was really nothing else to do now, than to watch this man bleed out with a certain side of satisfaction. And what a concert his screams were to Papyrus. He wasn't worried at all about this man dying. He could still find another mouth that would talk to him, after all.
"So it is you," a very familiar voice called out from behind.
He froze in his place. There was no way...
"Princess?"
He turned around. But there wasn't his princess anymore. There was now a queen standing in front of him. And she was ready to fight.
The Rose, they called her. A human being with magic, playing the superhero at night. He always thought it was silly, but now that he knew who this was, he tensed up.
She was here for him, wasn't she?
People said some things about her. For some, she was a hero. For others, she was a reaper.
They said this woman got rid of criminals no matter what. She would kill every man standing in her way for it. Not very heroic in his eyes, but the people loved her.
"Why are you here? Didn't you have enough of me already, as we danced?" He pointed his gun towards her.
"I'm here, because you were too stupid to turn off the lights," she said with a grin. "People do notice, when an abandoned building is suddenly used again. Besides, I got my ways of finding people like you."
"Not talking so elegantly anymore, hm? What a shame. And here I thought you were a little better than the rest of this god forsaken city."
Not that he was any better than the people in this city. But she could at least try to change that, as much as he did.
He actually wanted to give her a little speech. It would have fit the situation perfectly, really. The villain against the hero! But that thought died, as the man behind him started coughing harder again. His breaths were hollow and the life slowly left his eyes.
God. Why had this guy to be this loud now?
Annoyed, he turned around again and raised his hands up.
"God damn it!" he shouted. "You've been silent for hours and now's the time you let me hear your voice? You annoying bastard! You know what? I have changed my mind! Let me actually help you with that."
He shot the man without hesitation into his right eye. Finally, silence overcame the room. He left out a frustrated sigh and turned around again.
Shocked, Chara stared at him.
"What?!" he asked her, feeling misunderstood. "He was getting on my nerves! Do you know how long I've been trying to get this guy to talk? Three hours! Three! And not a single word slipped from his lips!"
Frustrated, he let his hand wander over his face.
"And now you're here! Who in the world is actually crazy enough to follow his killer? Seriously. Don't you have anything better to do? I mean you're the daughter of the famous Asgore! A man who has power over half the city. Why waste your time hunting us guys down?"
"Honestly? I wish I knew. I guess I just like the rush," she answered him drily.
"That's all?... Really?" he asked, confused. "And here I thought you had a good reason."
"Well," she smiled, "I guess I also kind of missed you."
Miss him? Something was seriously wrong with this girl, if she searched for him. But also charming.
The corners of his mouth formed into a smile.
"No. There's no way." A laugh escaped him. "The hero has fallen for the big, bad guy, hasn't she? How absurd. Next time you're telling me that you killed my biggest enemy, just to be with me. Look at the painful truth here, my dear hero. Our worlds don't match. We don't match."
He stepped closer to her. She didn't move away.
"Aren't you scared? I could kill you again, you know."
His fingers brushed through her soft hair. His eyes searched her expression for fear. But she just smiled back.
"You wouldn't. After all." She pulled out the letter that came with the box. "Only you would call me your princess. Pretty dramatic for somebody, who doesn't feel a thing for me, isn't it?"
His movement stopped.
"I could stay your princess. But only, if you let me."
Now this was new.
"Did you not listen? We live in different worlds!"
"No, we don't. We're both just murderers here. Killers with a slightly different perspective. But in the end, we both end up killing a man." Now she was the one stepping closer. "But let me tell you a secret… I want this world to burn. So help me make it, Papyrus. Let me make our worlds match."
A shiver went down his spine, as she touched his face with both her hands. She was crazy. Even more than him. And here he thought his princess was an innocent pretty girl. Oh had he thought wrong.
The police sirens were his cue to leave though.
"Pardon me, will you? I don't want them to find me yet."
"Alright," she said, "But promise me, we will see each other again."
"Very well then. But be careful, little lady. I do bite back."
"Just what I was hoping for."
And with that, she let go and let him leave.
As the police finally arrived in the room, Papyrus was long gone. He had actually jumped from the building. It sounded crazy, but he was still a monster. And so he had his own ways of escaping.
Smiling to herself, Chara went back with the police.
She couldn't wait to see him again.
Her deadly gentlemen.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR READING CHAPTER 2!
And now also on the official start of papara week!
Seems like Chara is hunting our dear villain down. I wonder where this will lead her...
But I guess for that you'll have to wait for tomorrow!
Todays motto I used was: scars and wounds!
By the way:
My ask-box is always open if you have questions for me or my characters.
I'd answer all questions regarding papara week on the 18th of july. Why? Because you should read the story first! A lot of things will be explained there over time. :D
Happy shipping! ^^

Tumblr media
**HERE BE SPOILERS: Skip ahead to the fan art/podcast to avoid spoilers
Reactions As I Read:
what is up with Harry and Norman's hair?
and why does everyone in this series have white irises?
poor Harry
I wonder how many people over the years went into chemistry because of comic books
why does Peter think of his ex-girlfriend on a first- and last-name basis?
the inking seems rather thick in this issue
god, even Betty thinks of herself by her first and last name
where the hell did that retroscope helmet come from??
i mean, the cover already told us the outcome of this fight…
the ol' live wires and chemicals gag. ah, bronze age comics. don't ever change
"the green goblin will never trouble you again" …yeah, about that…
Dr. Bromwell is a silver fox
Synopsis: Pete is trapped by Norman Osborn who’s revealed himself to be the Green Goblin. Pete stalls him, mentioning Harry and playing with his emotions to get him to talk. Norman tells how he worked constantly to provide and always paid more attention to work than to his son. He reveals how Professor Stromm only borrowed money from a shared account, but Norman called the police reporting it as theft, leaving the company in his hands. Norman continues, saying Stromm had left formulas behind, and he decided to research them. As he was working on one, it exploded and hospitalized him.
This transformation changed him and he planned to use his company’s resources to become a super-criminal. At home, Aunt May is worried sick over Pete not calling her and Anna Watson calls in Dr. Bromwell. Meanwhile, Betty Brant is in a train station realizing she must return to New York and face everyone but unsure how. Pete is still working on the steel bonds and the Goblin recounts when Spider-Man has fought him and skews them as victories. He finishes his story and frees Pete to fight him on even terms. As they fight, the Goblin pulls out stun bombs, an electrical whip, and finally a Goblin Cannon. As Spider-Man delivers a kick, the Goblin goes into a mixture of live wires and chemicals and a fire starts.
Spider-Man rushes over not wanting to kill him, but Norman doesn’t know where he is or why he’s in costume. Not wanting to destroy his reputation or Harry’s feelings, he’s quickly changed out of his costume for the police to take him to a hospital. Pete rushes home and Dr. Bromwell has just sedated Aunt May. Aunt May begins to take care of Pete’s “fever” and Harry visits his dad in the hospital.

Hey! Gotta say that I usually agree with you but this time I feel like you're putting everything and everyone on the same bag, I mean, who cares about what Twitter stans can say? Most of that people have 2 brain cells and they only follow a trend (to constantly hate). And yeah some fans talk like they're managers and sadly now days it seems like music's all about streams and numbers, personally I couldn't care less about it or he having new fans through festivals (I think it's a bit "silly" that idea cause there are hundreds of ways to find/listen different artist) of course it would be awesome that more people could recognize how talented and hard working he is, that's what every fan wants. Also, maybe I follow the right people idk but the few ones that I saw complaining about the songs they were respectful, didn't doubt or commented about the music, I want them to be longer cause from the snippets that he gave us ALL OF THEM SOUND SO SO GOOD, REALLY, IT'S GOING TO BE HIS GREATEST ALBUM and some of us genuinely want like 2 more songs at least because we know what he's capable of, and yes, I know he tries to tell a story with the album but we're coming from HBW with 14 SONGS plus Dress and Nothing, it makes sense to want more.
On the other hand... if 2020 was tough for Niall, who's rich, white, went out countless time when quarantine was still on and then travelled wherever he wanted, what's left for the rest of the world? C'mon, he's not an angel and it's okay to say it
hey! idk why u think i’m putting people in the same bag, especially since i never @/ed anyone in any of my posts and have consistently said that was just how i personally was feeling! you can want more, i never said it wrong that you want that. i never once policed anyone in my own personal posts about my own feelings lmao :)!
I’m well aware he’s a rich, white man. That doesn’t make his mentality any less important and him having to deal with the disappointment of his vulnerable and personal art getting derailed and his disabilities is a pretty big deal! kind of weird to diminish that when he’s spoken about depression, OCD, and his physical disabilities so openly and for putting words into my mouth like I ever said “he had it the hardest out of everyone in the world” bc i never did!
“He’s not an angel…” because he didnt put more songs on an album? i dont see how that is relevant at all😭

I’m not usually one for memories, but timehop caught me on this one. Four years ago, I was babysitting my parents’ cat. I love that cat with all my heart.
The flannel shirt I’m wearing in the photo is the same flannel shirt I was wearing the day I ran away to be with DD (January 2019). It’s also the shirt that matches one of JW’s (Mr. BFF and coworker from where I used to live) favorite ties, and we used to arrange to coordinate, just to be silly.
By October 2018, I’d already had this blog going for over a year. I’d had Starbucks Sunday going for about a year. My big writing project that month was “Are You with me after all,” an Irondad & Spiderson story delving into the personal and the political as the media swelled with the Me Too movement.
The following month, I experienced my first status migraine, yet I put every spare minute into writing, completing both the Novemeto challenge and NaNo, with 30 one-shots, a 70k word book, and a 90k total.
That is not bragging. That is not me begging for sympathy. That was me, four years ago, being a stupid twenty-five-year-old, experiencing the onset of fairly severe Bipolar disorder, using lack of situational awareness (blame autism a little, my selfish ass a lot) to my advantage, and caring only about my statics.
Riding mania is not equal to more productivity.
Riding depression is not equal to resting.
Abusing (OTC) drugs does not put the body back into a “regular” schedule. Taking something to sleep, then taking something to wake up, then living on protein powder and instant coffee because food is a waste of time… it’s not sustainable.
Sometimes crutches are needed. The same with time-outs. Float for a while and let the anxious fizzle out somewhere else in the brain, somewhere under the soft lights and music.
Same with activity. DD is immensely strong, and she has actually carried me outside to sit on the back porch. I like to test the weather report. Look at the app. Then I go to the nearest window to see if it’s right. My kid likes to help. But it’s good just to move. To make a thought that’s unrelated to you. Geez, the sun is bright. Shit, it’s raining again…
Now, I’m not telling anyone what to do. I don’t know how to manage or cure any mental illness. I can just pass on descriptions of what happened to me at my lowest points, and explain what went wrong. It’s like… a police investigation, sort of. Now that I have proper medication and a support system and doctors who look after me, we can look back on my behavior and thoughts and what I was doing four years ago so we know how I derailed and how to prevent it from happening again.
I’m not fixed. Not cured. That’s impossible, unfortunately. It’s hard to manage constantly fluctuating mental health with a migraine condition and metabolic and gastric issues as well. Sometimes it’s hard to tell them all apart and treat the correct problem. I’m so lucky to have DD and our children and our roommates for their consistent love and care. Nothing gets easier, but it is better.
Four years ago I was an idiot about to crash and burn, but, the moment I took this photo, I didn’t know that yet. I was just doing whatever I wanted to do, whenever I wanted to do it. Because I thought I thought I could. Drink my parents’ beer and work on Inktober and tap away on my computer and hang out with the world’s loveliest orange tabby.
Take the chances when you can. Do what you want. But learn, too. I would say listen to your body, but reality is that we also have to learn to care for bodies that don’t speak up. Take care of your loved ones. Let them show you how to take care of you.
My parents’ cat gets wet food in the morning and evening, and his dry kibble and water bowl are filled as needed. Scoop the litter box daily. Let him sleep in the bed with you.
Caring for people is not that simple. But learning the basics is a good, solid start.

excuse me did you see megan fox hanging around palmwood studios? oh no, that was ava fields the thirty-six year old actress who plays gemma shot on rumour women. yeah, you know rumour has it she's - coniving, and - manipulative, but her fans say she's + confident and + humorous. around palmwood studios she’s known as the sovereign. (cisfemale, she/her)
ava fields was born to sam fields, some deadbeat nobody ava never cared enough to associate with and daphne jacobs, her socialite of a mother who climbed men like a ladder trying to get all the way to the top, of course her father got knocked off that list. she wouldn’t say she was particularly close to either parent. not in a sad way or anything, she just didn’t care about either of them. there was very few people other than herself that she cared for.
ava’s teen years were fun. she spent her high school life only dating whoever was on top at the time, just like her mother willing to ditch whatever loser fell down for the next big thing. after all ava had learned from the best.
what she hand’t learned is commitment, trust or honestly. she lived her life with very opposite morals. she didn’t believe in helping anyone or doing anything out of the kindness of her heart. she went after what she wanted and left a path of destruction in her wake.
in her early twenties ava got into stripping. it wasn’t a sad story or something she did because she was desperate for money. she liked the attention. she liked letting men look but not touch and she liked the opportunity it brought. she often slept with the men at the club, going back to their homes only to rob them blind while they slept. she never got in trouble for it either. after all she was a fantasy, a false name, wig, makeup, that woman wasn’t real. so describing her to the police would never work.
after a while, ava got bored of stripping so she moved onto better things, but not before she landed in bed with a director which earned her the spot as charlotte in lost in translation, winning her her first ever oscar. after that it was all uphill for ava.
she’s always been psycho and always been amazing at hiding it when she needed to. anyone who knows her personally would know she’s unhinged, but to the public she’s an angel, an idea woman, just how she liked it.
she was married once, divorced a year after. nothing nasty, just that they would have ending up murdering each other. they truly did have that crazy kind of love. but since then ava has been adamant that commitment isn’t for her. although she still loved sleeping with men for a little five finger discount.
WANTED CONNECTIONS:
a friend from the strip club: someone who knows what she used to do, and how many people she went through. she’d have shared her secrets and bragged about it with this person. maybe they even did it too
an ex: it could be any sort of ex. good or bad.
best friend: someone that ava can be genuine with. someone she’d really trust and love, which is unusual for her.
fwb: any sort of hook up/ friends with benefits situation
enemy: ava would make this person’s life miserable, probably has some sort of blackmail on them. the woman is crazy
maipulee: someone ava knows how to manipulate well, this person would be willing to do her dirty work
current boyfriend: please bare in mind ava would be awful to this person and constantly cheating
