So you all know those plots where a loved one of someone disappears for years, decades even and then all of a sudden they reappear but they’re still the same age and no recollection that so much time has passed. Now they have to figure out how to live in this new world. I wanna throw the spouses in that kind of plot.

When Violet Bridgerton was still Violet Ledger she had eight friends she was close to. There was Simon Basset, the much younger brother to the Duke of Hastings but he was an older brother figure to Violet. Kate Sharma, Miles Sharma’s older sister and was like an older sister to Violet as well. Sophie Beckett, the half sister to the heir of Pennwood, a total sweetheart in Violet’s opinion. Penelope Featherington, younger sister to Archibald, and Violet’s fellow wallflower. Phillip Crane, the younger brother of the current Sir Crane and as Violet likes to joke a plant enthusiast. Michael Stirling, the younger brother to the Stirling twins, and one of the biggest rakes of Violet’s generation. Gareth St. Clair, the nephew to Lady Danbury, and a little brother to Violet. And there was Lucy Abernathy, the younger sister to the Abernathy brothers.

Those eight friends were sadly lost to sea when Violet was eighteen. They had left on a boat with promises to return in time for the season. They never came home, and no one knew what happened to them.

Over two decades has passed since then, in that time Violet has become a wife, a mother, and a widow. While she will sometimes wonder what happened to her friends she has moved on with her life, understood that sometimes fate could be a cruel mistress.

She didn’t know how cruel fate could be.

Violet almost dropped the calling cards. It was not possible after two decades, but the proof was in her hands.

Rushing down to the drawing room where she instructed her guests to be put Violet could hear their conversations from the open doorway.

“Simon you owe me ten pounds!” That was Kate.

Simon responded. “For what?”

“I told you it was only a matter of time before Violet married Bridgerton.”

“I really thought she say no, the boy threw mud pies in her hair.”

“You know you could always bet if she’s pregnant or had a kid yet,” Michael joked. “Can make your money back Simon.”

Had a child yet? Some of her old friends were older than her, surely they knew she would be past her child bearing years. The only lady in their group who might still be able to have children is Lucy and even she would be closing in on her years.

But come to think of it, they did still sound rather youthful.

When Violet walked into the drawing room she saw that no, none of her old friends were past their child bearing years.

Walking back into that drawing room was almost like walking back in time. None of her friends had aged a day from Violet’s memories. Violet could only tell she was still here in the present is that they now wore today’s fashion, The girls with their empire waist dresses, and the men whose pants now reached their ankles instead of their knees. They looked like they could friends with her children-

Oh god, they were the same age as her children.

All of a sudden they all looked up at her. Every single one of them stared at Violet in shock.

“Violet? Violet Ledger?”

“You got so old!”

Violet sat down, “And none of you have aged at all in the last twenty plus years.”

They all looked confused. “What do you mean twenty years?”

OK CHAT LOCKING IN AND WRITING AS I COME UP WITH STUFF FOR AN OBEY ME THE GOOD PLACE AU BECAUSE OF BRAINROT💔 (the good place spoilers below, obey me spoilers below too but lesser)

So starting with the obvious ones:

Eleanor is MC (both main characters, both the humans who brought peace to the universe or whatever. Also both whores who said that?)

Janet is Barbatos (both op and very smart who live to help and grow closer with the mc slowly)

Ok I actually can’t think of anymore obvious ones. (I’m gonna preface that I’m going based mostly off of personalities and their roles to the story, not their relationships with one another so if I put two brothers as people who end up together this is NOT demoncest I’m not talking about the romance aspect😭)

Going through the main the good place cast, it makes sense that Jason is Mammon (loveable dorks with good hearts but do crime lowkey. They’re literally the same person)

AND THAT WOULD MEAN IN THIS UNIVERSE BARBMON/MACARON IS CANON IG? (Again I’m not focusing on the romance aspect, this is just something just worth saying)

Who would be Tahani? Asmo, maybe? They both like to brag about themselves, they’re both canonically the hottest, both popular and lowkey pretentious… yeah I’d go with that

And chidi is difficult. He’s indecisive, a great lover, a nerd, loves reading, into moral philosophy, so I’m gonna say Simeon is the closest, but I’m not sure if that would fit well just better than others

Michael is hard. Maybe Michael is Michael; both called Michael and mysterious ig, but I think he’d be a better fit for either Solomon or Diavolo. Let me explain:

Solomon and Michael both appear friendly at first while actually having bad intentions. They possess a power unknown to any of their peers and as the series goes on, grow very attached to the main characters. They’re also both different to what they first said they were (Michael claimed to be an angel but was a demon, Solomon didn’t explicitly claim to be normal but he’s certainly more powerful than he appears)

Diavolo and Michael also both appear friendly at first, except diavolo actually is friendly which lowkey ruins it… though I’d say diavolo seems like he has some ulterior motive in the start of the game lowkey, he really doesn’t. Dude just wants peace. Which is similar to Michaels character growth but that feels like a stretch. they’re both in control of the whole thing, and are trying to introduce a new idea to the afterlife despite backlash.

I’d say Solomon fits better though (in either case, this would result in Solomon/diavolo being kind of a father figure to Barb at some point, which is funny to think about)

Ok now non-main characters

Vicky is Satan, which would mean it would be funny to have lucifer be Michael, but lucifer just isn’t as good of a fit for Michael as Solomon is, sadly. Satan and Vicky both feel like they have a point to prove to people underestimating them and they’re both quite smart and value their knowledge and likeability.

Mindy st Claire pisses me off (not the character, thinking about who would be her) BECAUSE Solomon is definitely best fit for her (humans who are their own league of morality, kind of anti-social/lonely though that’s because of isolation, relaxed) BUT he’s better fit for Michael. Soooo we will return to her LMAO (rn considering Levi???)

Simeon would also be good for her (Humans who I imagine wouldn’t be allowed into the good/bad place since he’s kinda yk just fell from there…) but he’s much better as chidi

Glenn would fit as mammon but mammon is so Jason-coded it’s unreal

What other characters even exist uhhhh ummm uhhh

I want to figure out who the twins would be

TAHANI AS SATAN AND CAMILLA AS LUCIFER OFMS THATS THEIR DYNAMIC DOWN TO A TEA

Lucifer/camilla is much more accomplished and respected, which makes satan/tahani resent her/him. Tahani and satan are both well read and self respecting as well.

Then who would Asmo be fml

I mean mindy is always joking about masturbating. Not even joking she’s just jorking it 24/7 and she did record Eleanor and chidi for a sex tape so I’d say Asmo is pretty well fit yeah

Who would be asmos derek then. Hm. We can ignore he was made by Janet/barb since that doesn’t really apply to anyone (perchance Solomon or dia since they lowkey have a family bond??? Stretch) and focus on the fact he was incredibly stupid but Asmo/mindy reset him so much he got very smart (I think by the end of the series he was like… a god? Help)

I think Solomon would fit actually but he’s better as Michael and I don’t like the idea of Solomon being Barbatos’ rebound for mammon because mammon started sleeping with satan. I hate that sentence, actually. Especially that last part. What am I doing with my life

Anyway I think we should come back to Derek (considering Mephisto I will explain later if I stick with that)

Anyway she’s exactly how I imagine Michael acts. Very old very powerful but just cunty and obsessed with sit coms and hot men. Because. Also they’re both judges of the afterlife or whatever

Who tf is bad Janet. I could envision Asmo but I like Asmo as Mindy and don’t want to rethink that decision. Actually let’s stay loyal to the lore bad Janet is just Barbatos as an au. Bad Janet is Barbatos’ aquarium fit cause that’s bad /neg 😡

The main characters go into Janet’s void/barbatos’ room of doors or whatever and they all just look like different barbatos fits.

Ok but also Belphie could be bad Janet, lowkey… no barb au 100% I’m sticking with there just being a million barbs (this implies disco barb exists. Fun)

I do remember Sean’s existence I just don’t know who he’d be. I like the idea of him being Raphael but Raphael isn’t mean they just have the same vibes yk. They need beef with michael/solomon. Lucifer would’ve been perfect for this but alas he is decided as Camilla😪 thirteen???? WAIT YES THIRTEEN IS OERFECT THAT IS LITERALLY HE DYNAMIC WITH SOLOMON YES I want thirteen in a suit

Gwendolyn Luke? Gwendolyn Luke. (I didn’t know who she was in at the point I have to Google the good place characters: she’s the girl they see in the good place who doesn’t let them ring the phone if you remember

We’re running out of om characters but I want Doug forcett to be the unnamed butcher from s3 because that’s so funny to me

But we still don’t have a Beel :( he’s not Simone, I don’t think he’s anyone of the s4 test humans (but Asmo would def be the one friends with Tahani)

Levi who r u. I was gonna just leave some characters out but I’ve only got like 3 left so I’m determined to find them all characters.

Mepbisto as Simone????????? Would Raphael fit better??????? One of those two as Simone, we will return when we have a character for Levi

Levi bambadjan? Yeah okay no real reason I just like bambadjan I want him included

Simone is into neuroscience, she’s smart, self assured, sassy and exes with chidi (who is now Simeon) but tbh I could see both Raphael and Mephisto as her… I’m gonna say Mephisto because I feel like he just has that wit that Simone has and Raphael isn’t rlly as witty

Who is Raphael then guys. Anybody like spears? Wet cat energy? Bad food taste? Sorry I don’t like Raphael enough (NOT HATE🙅‍♀️) to be able to characterize him properly. I would say one of the good place council members but nah he’s not overly positive enough for that. Could he be Hypatia, maybe? They have similar vibes when she’s not drinking milkshake and being all woo-ey because of the immortality thing but that still doesn’t feel right.

Ok Belphie is Trevor but who is diavolo oh my DAYS

I fear I may have to replace Michael with Diavolo for the judge💔which still works imo since they’re insanely powerful (in strength and influence), old, and pretty chill if entertained but very set on their goals and motivated. It just means no Michael unless you want Michael to be the whole good place council

Oh also lil d’s as the demons pretending to be humans in the good place and lil d 2 as Todd (the one always show in demon form) just because that makes me giggle

Wait I’m now realising that I forgot to recast Vicky when I made Satan tahani

Vicky is Raphael that fits a bit (totally not just trying to fit them both in) so no more Hypatia oh well she was in like 2 episodes and was just a plot device anyway maybe she can be maddi idk who else exists

Edit: I forgot to recast Derek. Oops. Derek is lowkey Solomon coded but AGAIN I like him too much as michael, so I’m gonna say Dia??? And that way Michael can be judge Gen? Idk how to feel about implying Dia and Barbatos dated and Barb created him as a rebound though… Oh well I’m already technically implying Satan and Mammon did the deed and that’s gross so just ignore the relationship implications based on casting🙏

The subs for the anime adaptation of The Twins at St. Claire's are atrocious, unfortunately. The worst I've seen outside of Anonymous Russian Rippers and it only beats them because it doesn't shove politics (including anti-vax sentiment) down your throat.

Okaa-san (mother) is repeatedly translated as "illiterate." It's that bad.

I can't recommend this show no matter how good it might turn out to be (I can't tell at this point) because the subtitles are just that bad.

hi mila!! a follow up to the date ask: how would the ros comfort mc if the date went terrible? hehe thank you <3

Cypress is, surprisingly to some, a good listener and advice giver. Their eyes would flit over the mc and they’d say, “the date being terrible isn’t fault of your own, maybe you were just on a date with the wrong person.” As them and the mc register the last of those words I imagine them staring at each other, trying to decipher whether those words had any hidden meaning behind them. Then Cy would blink, glance towards their kitchen and try to find something to busy themselves so they don’t have to worry about their feelings.

E would snort and say, “that shit wouldn’t happen if you went on a date with me”. It’s said jokingly haha, not really, and E would notice how upset the mc is and they’d say, “I’ll even prove it to you” and they’d go all soft and romantic, they’d muster up the courage to hold out a hand for the mc to take and say, “may I have the honour of taking you out to make up for your last date?”

L would feel bad for wanting the date to go terribly, and they can’t tell the mc they wanted their date to go badly so…they’d swerve the topic and their feelings and say “when I feel sad, or stressed, or if we lose a game I bake something”—it’s something so simple but L’s never revealed that about themselves to anyone (who isn’t their twin brother)—it’s something they keep to themselves because it’s theirs alone. And then they’d go, “fancy baking something with me?” Funnily enough, the gesture would make L sink into the crushing stage even more because baking with someone they have feelings for is one of their fave fantasies, if you will.

Milan would instantly go, “how can a date with you go badly? We’re not together and even I know you’re a catch.” And then they would exceptionally bad mouth the mc’s date before the night turns into a ‘Milan St. Clair self-care special’: it’s your favourite movies, your favourite food, a Spotify playlist acting as background noise. And as the night goes on Milan and the mc find themselves sitting closer and closer towards each other, and Milan would debate whether they should say something because it may ruin the moment but they go with their gut and whisper, “you know I’d never hurt you, right?”

N wouldn’t like the fact that the mc’s date went terribly. Sure, they hate the mc, but seeing them hurt and upset and wanting to see that would be cruel. I imagine N would arch a brow and think ‘well, what the fuck do you want me to do??’ but then they’d sigh and say, “you probably have a million other people you can talk to but…if you want to talk about the shit date with me, then you can.” N would curse themselves for saying it because they should be pushing you away, not giving you reason to stay…but they seem to find out that the mc’s presence isn’t…the worst thing in the world.

When: 27th of June, 2024 Where: Private Primary School

“Good Afternoon, Ms. Lisette. This is Chloé and Olivia’s school, and we are calling because we had an incident involving your twins and another student. We will need you to come to the school as soon as possible to speak with the headmaster.”

Her heels clicked on the floor of the school in her strides towards the headmaster’s office. What could have happened to warrant a call from the school? They were intentionally vague on the phone, but she would get to the bottom of this before they left. Holding her face tight, she fought against the pain in her knees. Was she supposed to be wearing heels, no, but she compromised in wearing one-inch heels instead of her traditional three. The pain was a now low ache, but with her tensed muscles, her pain was exacerbated.

“Ms. Marseille-St Clair, we are so happy you could-,”

“Where are my daughters?”

The front office administrator was kind enough; however, Lisette needed to see her girls.

“Of course, ma’am. Right this way.”

Walking around the back of the office and down a hall, Lisette sees her twins sitting in chairs outside of the headmaster’s office. Olivia looked anxious as she fidgeted with the buttons on her uniform. Chloé’s face showed clear anger, but Lisette’s attention was on the ice pack resting on her left hand. Olivia sees her first, and elbows her sister, “Mama! He-”

“Wait,” she tells them before turning to the young woman who guided her here, “Let the headmaster know I am here and would like to speak with him,” given a quick nod, Lisette squats down -pushing past the pain in her knees- and looks at her daughter’s hand, “Oh love, what happened?” she asks slipping into French to keep their talk more private.

“He was running his mouth. This boy, Michael, was trying to say things to anger me and I was tired of hearing it. I was gonna walk away, I swear I was,” Chloé’s explanation came out fast, she wanted to make sure she got her point heard, “But then he said… He said other stuff and Uncle Oliver always said not to let that slide,”

She knew her daughter admired Oliver, but she had not imagined she would model violence, “Said what? What could this little boy have said that would warrant you physically hurting someone?”

Chloé sat still, her eyes looking away from her mother and to her twin who began to speak for her, “Michael said-”

“Ms. Marseille-St Clair, I understand you want to speak with me about the altercation,”

The headmaster’s voice breaks their moment and garners her attention. “Headmaster Williams,” Lisette greets him while pushing up to a stand straight.

“He said our family is dirty and that’s why we don’t have a dad,” Olivia spoke fast and under her breath. Just loud enough for Lisette to hear. “Uncle Oliver always said family came first and you defend your family. That’s why she did it,” Her two girls kept their heads down, clearly upset. Olivia was likely more upset with being in trouble, but Chloé was still angry about what was said.

Looking back to her daughters, Lisette leaned down and kissed both their foreheads, “Wait here and I’ll be out shortly,”

“I never expected to have to call you in for something like this,” Mr. Williams began, “They are both bright girls and have never had an issue come up before,” The older man sat behind the oversized desk before continuing, “Unfortunately, a situation such as this is a delicate matter,”

“Could you tell me what happened?” Lisette had heard Chloé’s side of the event, but she was curious how the headmaster might present the facts.

“Well, it is my understanding that their class was outside for a break and preparing to return when Chloé was seen speaking with another student. I am told a few words were exchanged and then she swung her fist in their face. The reporting staff monitoring the class said that they did not see any reason for the behavior,” clearing his throat, Lisette remains silent, “You can surely understand that this matter must be handled swiftly and with the insistence that it does not happen again,”

“I completely agree,”

“You do?”

“I do. What is to be done about the student that provoked my daughter?” His eyes widen behind his thick glasses, and he stumbles over his words. She took this moment to continue, “My daughters, as you pointed out, have no prior issues here. Neither disciplinary or academic. With no record of such behavior, would it not suggest that the other student could have provoked this situation?” her question comes with raised brows. He shifts in his seat while she goes on, “Furthermore, this reporting staff member may not have seen any reason for the act, but did she hear what was said?”

Mr. Williams sits straight in his chair and leans forward on his forearms, hands clasped tightly, before replying, “No. She did not say she heard the conversation, just that she saw them talking,”

“Did the staff member speak with the other student to ask what was being discussed? Did they ask any of the students around them? Did they even bother to ask either of my daughters what was said?” The older man was silent. She never raised her voice, though she wished to scream at the top of her lungs for daring to insinuate that her daughters would behave without reason. “Though I may not agree with her choice of defense, I can understand her outrage over what the other student insinuated,”

“And what was that?”

“Perhaps had you done a proper investigation, you would already know. Instead, I had to hear from my upset seven-year-old that they were told their ‘family is dirty’ and ‘the reason they are fatherless’,”

The older man recoiled in his seat, scratching at his white wire beard. “Now, I will take my daughters home and keep them for the rest of the week. When I return on Monday, I expect to hear from your office administrator that something is being done about the little boy who berated my daughters. Should I find out nothing was done, you will be seeing me again,” standing from her seat, Lisette straightened her blouse and pulled her purse back over her shoulder, “I do hope this is the last time I have to speak with you about this, headmaster,”

Still recovering from the kidnapping, Lisette wasn’t yet permitted to drive, so they traveled in a blacked-out escalade. With her daughters in the third row, Lisette sat in the captain’s chair in the middle and texted on her phone.

“Mama, am I in trouble?”

Chloé’s question was simple enough, but the answer was anything but simple. Of course, Lisette could not actively encourage fighting but wouldn’t punish her for defending herself or her family. She could tell her about 'trying to remain calm' in all situations, but that wasn’t helpful with a seven-year-old. “You are not going back to school till Monday,” It wasn’t an answer, and the girls knew it.

“Because Cece punched Michael?”

“Yes, because your sister punched that boy,”

“He had it coming. He is a rude boy and deserved it,” Chloé firmly believed that what she did was justified. If Lisette were honest, she didn’t mind that she had hurt the other boy. Family mattered most and her oldest was simply standing firm in that defence.

Lisette sighed heavily and put her phone in her bag, “We can’t punch everyone who speaks badly about our family,” there are not enough hours in the day for it.

“But Uncle Oliver says-”

“I know what your Uncle says!” Lisette snaps, momentarily losing her composure and slapping her hands down on her thighs. Rarely did she lose control in front of her daughters, but Lisette was not entirely herself again. Taking a deep breath Lisette turned her body around to face the girls, “Listen. I don’t disagree with the premise of what your Uncle says occasionally, just the methods he uses to execute his response,”

Chloé and Olivia look at one another for a moment, neither saying anything. Lisette waits for either to speak, but when neither girl talks, she turns forward and runs her hand over her knees.

“So I am in trouble?”

Leaning her head back, Lisette lets a sigh slowly before replying, “Chérie… You are not not in trouble,”

“Okay,” Chloé hesitated with a trill of her voice, “Am I in trouble enough that I can’t watch TV?”

Smirking, Lisette closes her eyes at the simplicity her children still had, “I’ll think about it,”

The next few minutes pass in silence before Lisette hears Chloé speak again, “That wig looks good on you Mama,”

Chuckling, Lisette looks over her shoulder to her girls with their matching mischievous smiles.

drop five facts each abt all your Wednesday ocs pls!! (including Esther bc it’s a crime that I don’t know much abt her fr) -🍂

Ahhhh, thank you so much for asking about them, Alvita!! I am also gonna tag @luucypevensie and @dancingsunflowers-ocs since they’re my other Wednesday girlies. <3

We’ll do some facts about Esther first, since she’s my properly-introduced baby:

Given that I don’t think I’ve properly explained Esther’s outcast type to anyone besides Grace, I’ll explain it now: she’s a nephilim! Her mother, the woman who acted as a surrogate for her fathers when they were having her, was herself the daughter of an angel and a human, and because of this Esther is able to tap into a few different angel powers (if not all of the ones available to a nephilim, because Esther is a quarter angel rather than half).

These powers include being able to manipulate and generate light, being able to calm other people’s mental distress simply by projecting calming energy at them, being able to release powerful blasts of light that can cause physical destruction (which is what lead to the collapsed bell tower that got her transferred from her old school to Nevermore), and being able to wield a glowing angel sword by summoning it from the astral realm which is able to destroy demonic creatures (not that Esther has met any of those yet).

Esther’s family is actually pretty rich, with both of her fathers being lawyers and partners in their respective firms (which are actually rival firms, a fact that Esther and her younger brother Maddox find hilarious). Esther doesn’t like showing off or flaunting her family’s money, but she also doesn’t let it stop her from wearing nice clothes and buying her friends expensive gifts on their birthdays or other special occasions.

The St. Claire family also has a golden retriever, which Esther’s fathers rescued as a puppy when Esther was seven and Maddox was three. Esther was allowed to name her and chose the name Reno, after the main character in the musical Anything Goes, because her obsession with classic musicals had started even at that young age. Reno is an absolute sweetheart who always misses Esther whenever she’s away at school, and the entire family absolutely adores her.

Esther has never officially come out as a lesbian to her dads and Maddox - they’ve all pretty much known since Esther was pretty young, and when Esther finally comes home on a school break holding Wednesday and Enid’s hands, everyone just kind of shrugs and welcomes the two girls into their home.

Next, let’s talk about my beloved bitchy lesbian fairy Padma:

Every fairy has an affinity for one of the five forms of elemental magic: fire, water, earth, air, and metal. Padma’s affinity is for fire, because of course it is.

Padma is a twin! Her brother Akshat has an affinity for earth, doesn’t attend Nevermore - he is instead homeschooled as the majority of fairy kids are - and is pretty much the exact opposite of Padma in every way. He’s very quiet and passive, and doesn’t have even a hint of her quick temper.

Like Esther, Padma is also a rich girl (I mean, her family has been around for centuries since fairies live a really long time plus they can literally enchant people), but she is a lot less afraid to show it off. She’s always wearing the latest fashions and has her nails and makeup freshly done, and whenever she gets a coffee from the shop in Jericho she always leaves a twenty dollar tip or something even more because she just has no idea of how much thinks cost.

A really big part of the reason Padma is so determined to compete academically with Bianca for so long is because, deep down, she’s really afraid of people seeing her as just a stupid, pretty rich girl, when she’s actually wickedly smart and cunning. She’d rather rip out her own teeth than admit this, though, or at least it takes her a long time after they even start dating for her to admit it to Bianca.

Sometimes when Eugene’s not around and she’s stressed, Padma will go to the spot where he keeps his bees and just chill with them to calm herself down. Fairies, being forest creatures by nature, have an innate connection with all plants and insects, even if they don’t have an earth magic affinity, and Eugene’s bees really like Padma and will often bump against her face to say hello to her.

Now let us talk about Gus, my beloved stoner werewolf:

Despite werewolves very rarely maintaining canine characteristics when they’re in human form, Gus very much does - he always gets incredibly excited when someone he likes returns after being gone, even if they were only gone for a few minutes, and if you scratch a certain spot behind his ear he will just melt into a happy puddle.

Gus is also insanely clingy and affectionate when he’s high, and it doesn’t even really matter who it is he’s clinging to; if you’re close by and not already hugging or cuddling someone, you can expect a lap full of Gus, burrowing his head into your shoulder and giving you a bunch of compliments in a hazy voice.

Gus has had a bi flag hung up above his bed in his Nevermore dorm since he first arrived at the school. His first roommate, a haughty psychic who came from a super rich family, made a douchey comment about it, and it didn’t even take a whole week for Gus to report the incident to Weems and get his roommate expelled (Nevermore, thankfully, has a very strict no-discrimination policy). He doesn’t really care if people insult him, but he was not about to let the guy think that kind of behavior was okay and risk him repeating it with someone else.

As kind of a surprise given his general sunny disposition, Gus actually really likes true crime podcasts. On most given nights when there’s not some kind of get-together he needs to provide weed for, you can find him sitting on the window seat in his dorm room, smoking a joint with the window open and with his phone playing a podcast beside him.

Gus’s first kiss was actually with Yoko; it was at a little party thrown for Ajax’s birthday freshman year, after Yoko’s spin landed on Gus during a game of Spin the Bottle. The kiss was really quick, but it was also nice, and Gus is pretty proud to say it was his first kiss (and to tease Yoko about her supposedly wanting to kiss him again, which she always rolls her eyes at him for).

Speaking of Yoko, let’s finish these facts off with her new girlfriend, Holly:

I’m still not going to reveal exactly what Holly is just yet (you know, Alvita, of course, but I’d like to keep it a bit of a secret still), but I can tell you with absolute certainty that she hates it about herself. Despite attending a school full of what most people would consider “monsters,” Holly sees herself as an actual monster, and would give almost anything not to be the way she is.

What she is has also caused a lot of problems between her and her family, and as such, she’s one of only a handful of students who stay at Nevermore year-round, not going home for the holidays or summer break, which only serves to add to the layers of mystery and fear that most Nevermore students have around her.

Holly very nearly gives Xavier a heart attack the first time she speaks to him, after Wednesday defeats the Hyde and she decides to start trying to make friends - which, consequently, is the first time she’s really spoken to another person since coming to Nevermore. He nearly winds up falling off a balcony, she scares him so much, which Holly feels really bad about, but he’s also quick to reassure her about it and strike up a genuine conversation with her.

During the time when she kept to herself and didn’t speak, Holly would usually keep herself busy with embroidering various things, which she learned from her grandmother. She’s incredibly good at it, and even gifts Yoko a handkerchief embroidered with a quote from Dracula for their first anniversary.

Holly’s favorite holiday was always Halloween when she was a kid (coming from a family and a very long line of outcasts, it was kind of inevitable), but due to some very significant reasons from her past she can hardly stand it anymore. She now throws all of the energy she used to put towards Halloween into celebrating Christmas, and though of course everyone around her notices how much she avoids Halloween, they’ve learned by now not to question it.
