The day July departed,

the season turned its head,

the summer had just started,

but life flows on uncharted

until the day we’re dead;

A driver for a funeral home got pulled over driving his delivery van in an HOV lane, but when protesting to the police officer, he said “But I’m not in violation! There are three people back there!”

While a humorous story, the fact is that whatever 'people' WERE back there are no longer there because their souls have “Departed.”

Many people often use the term 'THE DEPARTED' when people die, but the question is, DEPARTED TO WHERE?!?

You see, we are all spirits with souls that are currently (very) temporarily inhabiting a body, but one day your soul will leave your body and depart. When it does, do you know where your soul is going and why it is going there?

This is a question that everyone must answer, and if you don’t know the answer, consider this…

You are a spirit, and who you are (your 'soul') will LIVE FOREVER! You have the choice to where it will go! And it’s NOT reincarnation (because earth eventually will end) and it’s NOT to 'nothingness' because and you cannot 'depart' to someplace that doesn’t exist.

Friend, I am not going to fill-in-the-blank the answer for you because deep down you know what I am talking about. The question is, What Will You Do About It? After you depart, where will you go? And why?

Consider carefully, because eternity is too Long to be Wrong.

We talked my latest shoot mercury retrograde cancellations and frustrations, the wonder of Hal, anticipating Rick, streaming We Were The Lucky Ones on Hulu, important, not to be missed, loved a revisit of Sleepers, The Departed worthy, on the middle of Mystic River, a theme is emerging, abused young boys enlisting revenge, the Curb finale, just ok for me. It kinda jumped the shark a few seasons ago.

The Citrus County Housing Services Division will be accepting applications for the Housing Choice Voucher Program Waiting List, beginning at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 1. REMINDER: Housing Choice Voucher Waiting List Opens May 1 The waiting list will remain open until 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 7. No further applications will be acceptedafter that date. The Housing Choice Voucher Program is a federally funded rental assistance program provided by theDepartment of the Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for low-income households, especiallythose meeting specific local preference in the following categories: - Current Citrus County Resident - Homeless - 62 years of age or older - Persons with Disabilities - Victims of Domestic Violence A computer lottery system will select 250 applications to be put on the wait list. The preferencesselected by the applicant will be used in determining the position on the wait list. Citrus County HousingServices is actively seeking applicants from among those groups least-likely to apply, including theelderly, persons with disabilities and/or victims of domestic violence. Persons with disabilities whoneed special accommodation should call county Housing Services at 352-527-7520 for assistance. Applications will not be available in the Citrus County Housing Services office and fax requests will notbe accepted. Applicants may use any computer, tablet, or smartphone with Internet access to apply,including free use of computers at public libraries. If you require assistance with the online applicationprocess, contact one of the following agencies: Citrus County Libraries, Daystar, United Way, MidFlorida Homeless Coalition (for those experiencing homelessness) or Family Resource Center.
