When Roy comes into work and notices that Miniskirt is missing, there’s really only one reasonable culprit. 

Luckily, he’s just down the hall. 

He ignores Al’s cheery welcome, and luckily the rest of Edward’s staff doesn’t try and stop him anymore. He’d like to think it’s because he’s a general and they respect his rank, but realistically it’s just because they think watching him get angry is funny.

All of Edward’s staff are just like him. 

He flings open the door to Colonel Elric’s office, and sure enough, Miniskirt is swimming around on a large tank next to the window. “Did you really kidnap my goldfish last night?” 

“Liberated,” he corrects, not even looking up from his reports. “The tank you had was too small. You’re welcome.” 

On one hand, they agreed not to get into personal arguments at work, but on the other, Ed stole his fish from his office. This is a work argument. Right?

“I’m keeping the fish, but if you shut the door we can fuck on my desk,” Ed offers, still not looking up.

Roy shuts the door.

And yeah, even though Han has fundamentally missed the memo that Anakin’s just not interested in a romantic relationship, he’s still generally a good judge of people (better than he gives himself credit for really), and so all the blind dates he picks for Anakin are people who do have genuinely good chemistry with him. And therefore good friend material. So it’s a winning situation even if it’s not what Han was originally going for.

Yeah, exactly this!

I think Anakin is probably really attuned to both body language and facial expressions: among other things, it’s a necessary survival skill for a slave. Body language is probably a bit more of a tell to him, though. (And in that sense it’s notable that Anakin himself is much better at controlling his body language than his expression when he’s trying to hide his own feelings. That was true to some extent even before the Empire, but after 20 years behind a mask it’s true now in a very...pronounced way.)

Hi!  I do indeed have a bunch that aren’t on AO3 (or were posted on tumblr individually)!  While AO3 has definitely become the go-to archive for fandom these days, there’s a fair amount that never got ported over because it was in its infancy during some of the writing or some of it just straight up predates AO3, since it was written around the time AOTC/ROTS came out.  A lot has been lost to time/Livejournal purges, but there’s still some to be found there that’s not on AO3 (and I wish was just for permanence’s sake/easier mobi/epub reading!) that I liked. Most of it is shorter pieces or pwp fic or a couple of fics that I'll recommend just for pre-slash/"you can read it into them if you want" feelings that did a <i>lot</i> to jump me onto this ship.  And YMMV because a lot of this is older fic, so TCW didn't exist at the time of a lot of these, but it's all stuff I found to be enjoyable to read! OK but can I just point out what a colossal fuck-up the marketing team committed by not making this clearer??

Like, look, I don’t have cable, so I thought I was just oblivious to the premise of the movie and it was my own damn fault for not paying attention (Adam Brown, Ori of The Hobbit, is in it I did seriously consider seeing it just for him but then dropped the ball from lack of interest in the overall film)

But the fact that so many people already have said TONIGHT that they didn’t know going in or had no IDEA this was the premise even within a week of the DVD release makes the (reluctant) marketer within me cringe. 

Seriously, POTC franchise, the reason I gave up on you was because I wasn’t interested in another film about Johnny Depp swanning around as Jack Sparrow without Will and Elizabeth as foils to him. He’s a good character, but he doesn’t do well without a straight man (or woman) to play off of. Also I was heartbroken when Will and Elizabeth were parted, and I LOVE things that break my heart. Frankly, PotC5 should have been the plot of POTC4 in order to keep my interest. 

But back to your statement, seriously, HOW could a bunch of all-out fandom nerds like the good people of Tumblr NOT KNOW THIS ABOUT THE FILM without it being a catastrophic failure of marketing??

What goes left unsaid between them is: Tell me that what happened between us wasn't my fault.

Obi-Wan reaches out and cups his cheek so gently that Anakin can't help but lean into him. Obi-Wan sighs, as if remembering where they are and who they are and lets his hand fall away.

Luke/Leia& Padmé

I never gotinto the New Republic Era (Legends) but from what I understand, they never gotthe whole picture. they eventually found out about Padmé and who she was, herfamily, her role in Naboo and the Senate but they never got the details. Hereis how they find out about their mother. Btw, this is the first time Luke everseems Padmé’s image. Luke isworking on R2 and this happens:
