Just a random thought, that naturally made me think of you. I just love how Lena handsome femme Luthor undoubtedly exudes dominate, top energy in some respects. i feel like i gotta be real careful about how i answer this to not incur the wrath of anyone lol

maybe I’m just bad at finding fic but it feels like it’s rare to find bottom steve fics that feel in character or ones that are the really big epic well written fics (those are always bottom bucky, rip me 😔) and i know “in character” can be subjective but idk

i don't hate top steve, but i do sort of hate the daddy alpha dom steve (and twink sub bucky) that most of fandom seems to love? It almost feels like that characterization is based on chris and seb or other roles they’ve played than on steve and bucky themselves, but again, i suppose that’s subjective? or it's just what people like, and that's fine... but no thank you, nah, i'll pass

i also just think steve deserves to be allowed to be soft and vulnerable and taken care of sometimes too, just like bucky 🥺

they've both been through so much, but again, seems rare to see fic where bucky is the one taking care of steve for a change. obviously my issues are more with characterization than just top/bottom itself lol but it feels like they're a bit connected, at least tangentially, for most portrayals of this ship

I do want to play with it but I love this already. I just had an idea of an ENA who had maybe… come to terms with her more demony/supernatural side, and was just a little more in control of the switching, or at least could do it with a bit less distress. And like… I’ve always had this angel/devil on your shoulder characters that always described different parts of me like the want vs should voices, emotions vs logic etc. And ENA finally gave me a chance to express that. I’ll tell you more when I’ve got more down, but I hope you all think she’s as rad as I do!

Fetishized feminization fucking kills me because the people who perpetuate it will tell you shit like, “if you have a problem with my forcing of feminization on masculine people, you have internalized misogyny and hate women!” 

No, not really. I love women. I love femininity. I’m just saying that there’s an inherent difference between writing a character who has feminine qualities or enjoys feminine things (ie. traditionally feminine clothing or makeup) and whatever the fuck it is that you’re doing where you devalue a person and their humanity down to those key characteristics like they’re a pretty little barbie doll you get to dress up and put into dangerous sexualized situations where they can’t protect themselves because they’re portrayed as so submissive. 

If you wrote a feminine character who existed outside of their femininity, maybe you could talk and I’d listen to a single word you have to say. Until then, though, I’d love it if you could admit that you’re writing fetishization because you perceive feminine qualities as weak and subordinate and thus are exhibiting your own very real internalized misogyny with what you’re creating and consuming. 

Give your femme character a personality other than being femme and then we can have a conversation, yeah?
