ok so first off I know im obvs biased, but I don’t actually think my seb is that ooc, AND PUT DOWN YOUR PITCHFORKS IMMA EXPLAIN WHY. but im also gonna explain why I don’t think the other more friendly and lighthearted renditions of seb are ooc either. bc theres so many aspects of seb we get in the game that can be interpreted in so many diff ways, and so this is how i see it/landed on MY rendition of seb:

PROTECTIVENESS/POSSESSIVENESS: this is one of the main aspects of him, imo. his entire questline is about wanting to cure anne, and how he’s not giving up, and how he believes that HE is the only one that can do it, because “she’s MY sister!” seb is super tunnel visioned and has a one-track mind when it comes to this, and I headcanon that he’s this way because of their parents deaths. he’s the brother, the boy, he’s gotta be strong for his sister, and ofc when their parents died, he tries to comfort her and be there for her/be the rock, and it happens again when she’s sick. shes his sister, his responsibility, and he’ll die before he gives up on her and her safety.

SO, I just transfer all those aspects over to a romantic relationship instead. you just replace “shes my sister” with simply, “she’s mine/my gf/my wife/etc.” and in the same way I think seb tries to be strong and reliable and protect anne because he’s the brother, I think seb would be the same way in a relationship, because he’s a boy and she’s a girl and its 1890 and he’s chivalrous and he just sees it as his responsibility. I think the death of his parents and his dynamic with anne has baked this sort of mindset into him, and its even MORE intense in a romantic aspect, because then hormones and puberty and sexual tension and attraction is involved (plus the fact that seb in my fic is 17, so he’s older and has even stronger raging hormones and testosterone LOL.

JEALOUSY: who can forget the lines “between the two of you, I’m starting to feel left out” and “ominis simply needs a moment with you and he’ll change his mind. is that it?” the first one is more playful but I feel like the second one really showcases sebs brand of jealousy, and how biting and uncharitable it can be.

AGGRESSION/VIOLENCE: yet another iconic line with: “fine. but ominis knows, I won’t step back from a fight.” LIKE... the fact that apparently ominis knows this means its come up more than once…and im not saying seb is some unruly aggressor who flies off the handle at anything, but he defs has a capacity and is willing to get violent if HE believes the situation calls for it—basically the same way he feels about the dark arts. he felt justified using imperio to protect anne, and taking the relic to save anne, and so he would have fought ominis to get out of the catacomb. and with MY seb, while he doesn’t go picking fights with any boy who looks or gets close to clora, he’ll definitely be willing to beat up or lay hands on a creep who bothers clora/who is in the process of bothering her LOL.

(and clora even WISHED seb had interfered and done this. she was like 'why is he letting me drift away and go off with lawley i WANT him to fight for me...but she couldn't actually say anything thanks to the blackmail)

but new vegas's level of detail is insane to me. all the little character interactions. like, a large majority of the groups/types of NPCs who aren't currently hostile have custom dialogue for when you aim your sights on them. I wouldve never thought that there'd be stuff for that. for scientific reasons, y'all should put a gun to y'all's companion's heads LMAOO. but there's seriously so much fucking detail. like, you can just absolutely fucking fail a stat check and still try to say it and you'll just say it like a fuckin loser. there's so much to explore, like the other day I found the mountainy area with the super mutants on accident. I saw there was an area on the map without any places id discovered, and I was like "y'know what? lemme go check that out." and when I saw TREES for the first time, I was absolutely thrilled. the storytelling in the locations is awesome (and occasionally very heartbreaking) too. gonna put this under a read more line cause it's spoilery for some lore, some of it is sad, and also this post is already long

this is probably the saddest/most disturbing one, but there's a vault that was overrun by spores that infected the residents, vault 22. I was finally getting somewhere, and I found a room with a key card in it. yay!

it was a bedroom. there was a baby carriage in the room. there were two spore carriers (essentially plant zombies) which I killed, then kept looking through the stuff in the room. there was a type of spore person I hadn't seen before that jumped out of me. it was called a runt. the empty houses are so haunting to me too. like all the different junk items strewn around tell a story if that makes sense. like, toy boxes, or houses with absolute loads of empty alcohol bottles in them. it's weirdly haunting.

so back to the q…. im afraid i dont have any mind blowing tips. its normal to feel overwhelmed as a beginner, but everyone starts somewhere! i say familiarize urself with basic procreate shortcuts (loads of tutorials online) and always play around with their settings! it should be helpful for the learning process along the way.

for eg ermm i used to abuse the gradient maps settings to pretend i know shit ab colouring 😭💀 i still do tbh, except now i understand how it actually works and i can easily get the colours that i want.

some of the things i learned:

1. cool lineart (i always use this as a part of my render process)

2. art is subjective, pick any that you think suits your preference/is fun to use

for brush, do you prefer it round or textured? lots of pressure sensitivity or none? i like my brushes textured and with a good amount of pressure sensitivity. for blending, do you prefer the transition colour to appear smooth or textured/messy? i sometimes mix between both to give a sense of harmony, but i like it textured more. it all comes down to what feels right to you. pick a few artyles that you like and incorporate it into ur own! pretty basic tip but thats the best way that i know. just pretend ur a mad scientist trying to find cure for like cancer or sumn

3. personal opinion: brush type matters

dont listen when someone says the type of brush u use doesnt matter. yes you can draw with any brush. yes all brushes work the same way 🤯🤯🤯. but theres gotta be that ONE brush that just hits the spot for you, as if its made specially for Your Hands….. unfortunately theres no shortcut to finding Your Brush. it took me 4 years of endless experimenting to find mine.

yes indeed the skirt was a nightmare to render but was it worth it? absolutely. and yeee the earrings are such an important part of her design (shes hardly ever seen w/ out them :>>) and yes, they do ring!! (trust zeus teases her for it when they’re initially meeting) the glove is actually tied to her story, she uses it to cover a symbol on her hand linked to her powers (ill go into detail about that in a bit). also kajal is of fae descent, (hence the pointed ears, i think i also meant to add a tail to her design but we’ll see abt that). as for how she got in to the academy, she just applied to the academy for fun (fae court stuff bored her- i have so much fae lore for this universe i.) and got accepted into the night class- she wanted to get away from home for a bit and thought some fancy boarding school/ academy in gedonelune would be interesting (i honestly forgot how getting into the academy works and haven’t gone back to check in a while so. i hope that works TT). she’s close friends with caesar, leslie and hiro. (i personally like that hiro and kajal both have special unique skills- ill touch on it later.)

i truly cannot put into words how much they mean to me. zeus as a character is just so so wonderful and i. cannot. describe. how much i love him :>> anyways zejal (the ship name :PP) has been my precious lil thing for YEARS now im. (i’ll try to keep this brief so i dont go on forever)- zeus and kajal are very much rivals to lovers. they start out as classmates and spend most of their first year trying to one up one another. they do eventually start to begrudgingly respect one another and before he knows it, zeus is whipped for her. she too forms her own budding crush but isn’t really sure what to do about it because she doesn’t think zeus would ever feel the same way sooo she bottles it down and ignores it- subsequently (and perhaps inadvertently) ignoring him too. he doesn’t take that too well and it stays pretty tense between them for a bit until everything boils over and zeus ends up confessing followed almost immediately by kajal. thats just a ridiculously brief summary lmaoo- theres a lot to their story TT.

as for styling her uniform, i think she keeps it pretty simple just a regular night class uniform- she will however sometimes be spotted with a large floofy orange scarf (she borrows zeus’s- she likes how soft it is and he honestly loves to see her wear it)

the type of magic she specializes in are ancient curses and incantations. girl has LOADS of ancient grimoires she could spend hours translating and decoding the spells described in them. In fact she ends up using her knowledge of ancient magic to formulate her own unique spell (a concept i might have borrowed from twst in all honesty). she calls it, “evil eye” and its basically a magic circle w/ an evil eye design in the middle - it defends her from malicious intent however, considering that shes supposed to be rather powerful i took it a step further and made it so that using it, kajal can temporarily shut down people’s magic if they intend to do her any harm. she has the symbol marked on her right palm so she can activate it faster. (smthn smthn hiro and kajal bonding over having unique abilities- hiro would actually approach her bc she knows a lot about sealing magic away + she tries her best to help him research his own curse and whatnot) i also just love how both she and zeus work with magic circles i. ugh💕.

—> also the thought of her, caesar and leslie having get togethers where they gossip about random things while drinking chai she prepares hasn’t left my mind.

hii im just gonna throw my opinion in bcs !! i honestly dont think the way you write it is bad and i like the slowburn and i definitely can see it there. like how theyre getting closer and everything, a lot of things obviously wouldnt happen in the start before they got to know each other and yeah !

so im loving it, its one of my fav works on here as of now and i think youre doing the slowburn just right ! i think the main “problem” here is that the updates ARE a little slow considering most of the fics are one shots you can read in one go so i understand why waiting 2+ days for an update with 8 screenshots might be annoying for some people but i dont really mind ! just maybe could be a little longer so its worth the wait 😅 and its a little annoying sometimes when it FINALLY seems like theyre getting somewhere and then they just act like nothing happened like damn😓 couldve made a move already

4: If you can remember, why did you start editing?

Okay, so this may be a little off topic, but it still talks about editing LMFAO but I started editing mainly cuz one day I saw Minimooberrys renders and was like WOW okay, I want to learn to do THAT and editing, so she was a MASSIVE inspiration for me to start, not only that but I also watch solitasims and lovvvvvveeeddddd her stuff, and wanted to do what she did but mix in editing :) (I think that answers the question, idk I guess like, I've always wanted to edit, but more importantly the want to learn how to render and also do storytelling in TS4 helped motivate me to start editing if that's a better answer)

5: if you caption your edits, what do you decide to put in the caption?

I tend to keep the caption relatively clean (tags are where you get my reaction and shit LMAOO), if you take Leo and Roos posts for example, they're song related, so I'll put some lyrics that I think correlate to them and the scenes placed in the post ("and then you looked right back and caught my stare"), or sometimes scenes not necessarily mentioned in the post, but can be heavily implied or just assume occur ("It's really nice to talk to you, it's really nice to hold your hands," which implies that they talk a lot and that they do hold hands a lot, whether it be romantic or platonic 🤧). There's other situations where I don't have a song (tbf the Reo posts were the first posts where I did put songs agsiabs), like the valentines day prep posts, I just put "valentines day preparations: [sim perspective]", or like in earlier NSB posts, I just put prev / next cuz idfk what to put in the caption. With more recent posts, ive been trying to caption the posts with something related to the characters (like cataleyas drowning post, where it basically lays out the metaphor for the post, which is "too much love from the wrong person").

6: give us a quick breakdown of your editing process

WOW okay, LMAOO well, I'm gonna have to whip out my laptop for this one

For Cas shots: Usually i put cas shots together, so first thing I do is import the images I want to use in a 6000 by 3000 canvas (to preface: I do all my CAS ss in the dimensions 3000 by 3000), and I usually choose from a few mental presets, two headshots and a body shot, two head shots and a half body shot, three body shots, and theres more to list but im not gonna do all that LMFAO so after that, I place them in their positions and then erase the black background (which DOES get tedious when two screenshots sorta overlap and have to make sure theres no black left around the sim), after that incredibly tedious and unnecessarily long process, sometimes I play around with flipping the character around (in the case of two head shots and one body/half body shot, I make the headshots face toward each other, so basically headshot > body shot < headshot- if that makes sense), although that can be placed anywhere in the editing process sometimes I do it earlier on or later on doesnt really matter lmao. Around this point, its just final touches, looking for weird shadows (which is USUALLY more prominent in blender renders, but it can happen), places where shadows look a little too sharp, and cleaning up those spots. For the VERY VERY final touches, I use sharpen and depending on the shot, contrast or saturation, I sometimes use the hue tool to make a certain color brighter or a different color, however I avoid the latter because it creates a weird effect on the picture, the sharpen tool is important for this part, because I tend to make the sharpen effect stronger on closer shots (head shots), or i dont change settings that much for decently faraway shots (half body shots) and i try to make full body shots to not have SUPER strong sharpen, but i tend to go on the lower end for full body shots aisuhdg

For in game screenshots: This is a bit different, so I import the screenshot that I'm using into a 3840 by 2160 canvas (the size the screenshot was taken with), depending on the shot i may add text, the font i use is Walter Turncoat (in most instances, they vary for different posts lmao), I make sure to color the text depending on whos talking or whats going on, a good example is in the catty drowning post and VDAY prep post, I dont do "[character]: [text]", i like the element of figuring out whos speaking (EVEN if it can be frustrating for me), i try not to make it too challenging to figure out, around my level of reading comprehension (/j), so like Catty is pink, calico is yellow, etc etc. I dont use as much sharpen with these shots since theyre clean as is. A lot of my shots like Gifs are pre-planned and thus is a different story, but in short I usually just edit the gif frames as usual and then put them together later. I also have a custom set of black bars to put around my screenshots bc even tho i do use reshades black bars, sometimes bloom or DOF messes with them, and have to put a clean set above them. I dont really know what to say that is quick, I guess for more "complex" shots, like with moodlets or text messages, i just get the assets online and then edit them for myself 😭

and LASTLY, for renders: Trying to keep this short, I usually just do what I do for the aforementioned shots, but like I said in the CAS shots, weird and sharp shadows are more prominent and I just edit those to make them cleaner and then also just add sharpen and make it brighter or more contrast-y idk 🤧

life update maybe idek i just vent and its very personal and a little boring

you guess you hadnt realized how into it youd have gotten, but at least your boyfriend got a free performance out of it!

you had received a text from akechi 10 minutes ago. a simple “omw.” was all he wrote. 

however, you still excitedly set up everything you had planned for your boyfriends awaited arrival. 

hed been coming home late from his work at the police station, and you knew hed appreciate the thought of a nice relaxing night at home with his favorite foods and plenty of fuzzy blankets laid out on the couch.

you had music playing in the background as you applied the finishing touches. putting everything you had into the chorus of the song playing over the speaker.

you hadnt even heard akechi walk in over how loud everything was in your living room until you turned around and noticed him staring at you with an unreadable expression on his face.

was he disgusted? or just really surprised? it was always hard to tell with him.

you prayed it was the latter, and continued to sing along, more dramatically, like it was the most important performance of your life. you could see him laugh fondly.

once you were finished, he set his bag down on the kitchen counter to greet you properly.

“i didnt know you were so talented.” he responded blankly, “is there anything you *arent* good at?” he joked.

you laughed, pressing a kiss to his cheek before playfully responding, “oh no! looks like the detective prince caught me!” and running to hide under a blanket on the couch.

he smiled at your antics, having a seat on the couch next to you, cuddling up to your covered form under the blanket. 

you peeked your head out and smiled warmly at him and said, “welcome home.” 

moments like these with akechi are rare, but you cherish every single one of them.

Hi this is Basically a journal entry of one of the most surreal days of my life omg !!!

Aurora means so much to me, her vibes, her legitimely magical voice, her fashion sense, what she care about and how she shows that, her humor lmao, is it cheesy to say she's a role model to me? I adore her so much… I dont think theres another “celebrity” I've ever wanted to meet as much as her.

This is so stream of consciousness but - aaaHh ok ok so -  literally two days prior to the Boston Aurora Concert I was randomly scrolling on Reddit, (something i honestly never do) , specifically the Aurora subreddit cause I noticed people were posting concert photos and wanted to see them  :)). While scrolling I noticed a 6 day old post about someone giving away their Boston tour ticket free cause they had conflicting plans. Now I was sure this had to have been claimed by now but curiosity got the best of me and i reached out to ask. ... there is no way this hasn’t been claimed but - somehow - amazingly - 6 days later??? It hadn’t been.

On the day of - I had an interesting dream which I’ll describe later - I left for the concert with a bag full of my tiny aurora art prints that I wanted to give out to other concert goers :)) and also a bag of slightly bigger ones and a note for her in a separate clear bag that I really hoped I’d be able to get to her somehow.

Of course the concert itself was amazing.  It was my first time going to one completely alone without my friends and I made some amazing concert friends who made the night that much sweeter 💕 I was able to find a really wonderful spot which I was just- so grateful for, 1 person behind center stage on the floor 😭💕

After the concert came to its end and she did the final encore, I tried, emphasis on tried to hand her my care package but my attempts were futile. 😭 I made a weak attempt to throw it onstage - completely failed - (it kinda went up, and then dowwn lmaoO) - BUT I managed to catCH the failed attempt before I lost it completely 😳. Suddenly, the guy next to me, someone I had briefly chatted to before the show, offered to throw it for me ;0!! It all happened so fast but his throw was literally perfect and landed riGht in front of her. She promptly picked it up with a felt flower someone else had thrown, said her final thank yous and finally exited the stage !!!

Amazingly- the night didn’t end there, I continued to give out prints until I I was sure I’d run out - made even more lovely connections and was finally feeling ready to head out and leave the venue. Everyone seemed to had left from the entrance and it was starting to look pretty empty.

I was heading out finally when about 20 feet down the block where the building ended and around the corner I spotted a small but still sizable separate group waiting by the side for her to come out. At that moment I decided - well! why not?

Well- time passed. I had a great time chatting with another fan from Vermont!! A bit later, people were moving! :o

I fumbled with my bag as I stood up, replacing my sketchbook only to realize I somehow still had a whole separate pile of prints I hadn’t given out yet. The crowd movement turned out to be because of  Aurora’s manager, who had come out and started talking to fans. I gave him a print and an extra :) and continued to hand out the rest to the crowd until finally by chance I was left with one, final, one.

And suddenly, not long after- there she was 🥺!!!!

As she approached - all of us kinda fell silent but I could feel how we were all just beaming. We gathered close to the divider and just listened to her talk :) then, she took the time to go down the entire row of people one by one, received each gift, expressed her own gratitude and individually talked with each and every person. She even recorded a little video on someone’s phone for their kid who couldn't make it!! She started to hand out Annie’s gummies to everyone at one point :) i cannot overstate how kind she was.

The whole thing felt like a familial gathering honestly, everyone was just so happy it was so down to earth, it was sosososo lovely.

When she got to me I handed her my final print and mentioned how I had actually gotten something to her on stage. When she saw the drawing (to my surprise) her eyes immediately lit up with realization and she began searching her coat pockets. Within seconds she produced a bunch of the mini prints I had included in the ziplock bag from her right coat pocket and excitedly said “I have them!!!” 

I was so scared of running out of photo storage for the entire concert but managed by some miracle to get the whole exchange on video which ill link right here skjhdfhjds… 

Being able to tell her directly how much she and her music mean to me was , wow and her response back ;w; <3 im never gonna recover I think 🥺

Afterwards she asked if we’d be okay with a group photo sdjhkfdshj, insisted the barrier between us be moved by her guards and joined us!! Whenever she posts it i'll be sure to scream about that too ( I’m right next to her in it and i'm holding a strangers adorable dog lol!!)

At this point, I was already on cloud 9. But then, as we said our final goodbyes and the crowd dissipated something insane occurred to me.

Remember that dream I mentioned earlier? Well:

Excited for the concert I had dreamt that I kept running into Aurora in incredibly busy circumstances. I had kinda hoped to hand her art directly but both times it never quite worked out - too many people, too much going on around- that is, until the third time, when it was perfect and calm.

When  I was finally able to give her my art, I mentioned how I’d given her art before but how I wasn’t sure if she remembered it or had even gotten it. As soon as she saw it, dream Aurora’s eyes lit up, she recognized it! She then began searching around for an envelope, after finding the envelope, she sorted through what I can only imagine was hundreds of gifts from fans- and finally,  after a second of searching, she pulled out some of my art, smiled and said “You made this right? I have them!! Thank you!”

I woke up from that dream simply happy to have dreamt it, knowing the likelihood of something happening that was so slim and would likely never happen but thankful that the dream gave me insight into what it could be like  - only to realize many many hours later that the interaction I experienced was so- so so similar to how reality played out. I don't even know how to express in words how beside myself i am sdjhfhdsjk,,,

Also my phone ran out of storage RIGHT at the end when I tried to take a photo of a cool light I saw driving back 😳

okay so im garbage at brief summaries but if i dont make it brief yall have a whole ass book to read full of nonsense lmaoo so basically,

sonic tails and knuckles found this cave that a branched off echidna tribe used to inhabit, there they find a statue (tikal >:D) and long story short sonic breaks the statue releasing the emeralds (chaos emeralds dont exist like usual in this world for plot purposes) in the statue and getting his ass cursed, (the emeralds are living tho they need a host to be able to do anything, and are like a hivemind), cue slow mind corruption where theyre basically eating away at sonics mind (and his chaos energy!) leaving him really sick and weak halfway through the corruption, until they figure out shadow is basically a walking chaos generator, and they convince sonic to leech off his energy (they take too much too often at first leaving shadow drained and sickly) during this time is when sonic is almost completely under the control of the emeralds its when the group starts to realize whats happening and try to remove them from sonic, leading to eggmans death and sonic finally slipping and leaving the emeralds in full control of his body (basically that means they take the hosts personality, warps it and it becomes theres until the next host, makes sense?)

after this theres a time skip cuz im lazy but in that time frame sonic (aka fleetway) has went berserk with his new freedom doing anything and everything he wants, cue the team trying to get sonic back, fleets is like "haha cute yall have fun imma take this chaos meat sack tho" and manages to capture shadow, lock him up with special chains fleets uses to keep his chaos energy so low he's always weak but enough to keep him alive

years into the future fleets turned the place into his own little paradise, shadow's turned from prisoner to prized pet because of good behavior (he fought his ass off to escape or to kick fleets ass but in the end, decided playing nice until he has a better moment to strike was a good idea, bonus points if he pretends hard enough sometimes fleets still sonic and he can be around his husband again)

so fleets living it up in a palace, shadows in a huge golden birdcage (over the years good behaviors got him rewards like his garden and a mirror ect) tails is alive but mia and theres a resistance building and their leader blaze and her right hand man silver are dead set on taking fleets down and what better way then murder 💖 (they dont remember shadow or sonic cuz timeline wackyness and lazy plot excuses) while shadow is honestly just tired and done with this shit

i probably forgot a shit ton of stuff but i was trying to be a brief but informative as possible lmaoo 🤣 id be happy to answer any questions tbh if i missed something or wasnt clear on something!! im all over the place all time time so I wouldn't be surprised if i confused ya lol
