I know I submitted this to Shitty Mechs Hcs already but I have... So so many Aurora & Brian friendship thoughts. There's something about those two that makes me imagine they have a deep bond based on their shared experience of having your brain, your very being, ripped out and replaced, to have your sentient thoughts overridden by codes and commands, Brian would understand what it feels like because of his switch. I feel like they just have this very strong friendship & bond because of that, and that that is why Brian is Aurora's pilot, BECAUSE they have that bond based on their shared experiences, because Aurora TRUSTS Brian not to steer her where she does not WANT to go, not to make her do something she does not want to. The bond with Nastya will always be deeper, of course and that one is also so so very special to me obviously because they're my favourite lesbians ever, Spesbians (Space Lesbians) if you may. Their bond also just HAS to be the strongest, Nastya could not have been anything BUT her engineer, because it takes even more trust and an even stronger bond to let someone access your very insides, to be able to override codes and sentient thoughts alike.

Nastya is her engineer because she trusts Nastya not to change her codes or wirings in any way that would change Aurora herself, because she knows Nastya loves her just as she is and would never WANT to change her. Brian is her pilot because she trusts him to listen to her, to let her do her own thing and not MAKE her do something.

Some thoughts about certain peoples behavior towards Rottmnt

I’ve already been seeing some people say negative things, both about the movie and the show as a whole, I predicted this would happen but I’m still disappointed in how consistently people hate and hold a grudge against this show as if it’s personally offended them and killed their dog or somethin. Obviously you’re entitled to your opinion, as long as it’s respectful and mindful. For whatever reason people that hate on this series have enough hatred for it to go out of their way to seek Rise! content and our fandom spaces to basically shit on it, and for what? What’s the point? And they act surprised when people come to the shows defense! You’re entitled to your opinion but that doesn’t mean you’re free of receiving backlash, especially when unsolicited in a public space . I personally love all versions of tmnt, they all hold a special place in my heart, they all have their strengths and weaknesses and they all have something wonderful to offer! That’s the whole appeal of the franchise, the fact that they’re willing to be flexible and adapt to change is the reason it’s been able to survive up to this point!

There are some people that have convinced themselves that just because a show is lighthearted and fun it automatically means it’s not meaningful or worth their time. A show doesn’t have to be dark and edgy for it to be considered good, both story wise and animation wise. If that’s what you’re in to that’s great! There are plenty of past versions that explore the more darker and grittier themes of tmnt as do the comics. But don’t go out of your way to write this show off as a joke just because it personally doesn’t meet your generalized preconceived notion of the tmnt, the tmnt franchise is comprised of more than just one singular iteration. I get nostalgia plays a big role in it but it’s unfair to expect every version of the turtles to be exactly the same as the last, if that were the case the franchise would be long dead, it’s only thanks to the innovative and risk taking qualities of the brand that they’ve been able to succeed and excel.

This also applies to Rise! fans, don’t bash on past iterations just to bring Rise! up, it goes both ways. If you can’t be respectful just don’t say anything at all and move along. Not that hard people.

Imagine meeting your favorite demon brother, getting to know him, developing a massive crush on them and the two of you eventually start talking/dating.

When you first met him your impression was “this dude fucks” but the more you talk to him you start to wonder “wait…has…has he ever actually fucked???” The way he blushes and gives this nervous laugh when you make inappropriate jokes and how he seems so much more shy and innocent than you ever pictured a demon being makes you start to think he really is a virgin.
