Shout out to Ochako Uraraka for making me realize I'm a lesbian. I would've never known if I hadn't wrote that analysis about her and her crush on Deku being comphet and suddenly stopping to think "Fuck. Okay. Relatable. But that doesn't mean I'm-" but it indeed mean I was a lesbian. Yes.

ever thought about a love triangle between yan childe and yan neuvillette 🫣?????? imagine y/n being married to neuvillette—and tbf i think being married to him would be miserable…considering the circumstances (it’s less a marriage and more like eternal imprisonment), so the thought of betraying neuvillette gives you some semblance of control. it’s just, no one expected you to betray him with the 11th fatui harbinger…
I LOVE this for the simple fact that I think y/n would not understand how peaceful life is with Neuvillette until Childe takes them on.
Neuvillette is old. He's lived hundreds of years and he's insanely powerful and well liked. Sure, marriage to him is like a prison sentence, you're never leaving him, but at least he lets you wander the city and have hobbies. He's patient.
Childe though, Childe knows just enough to put on a prince charming persona and convince you that there's more out there. Sure, more means being his wife and being his pretty little thing, but you already do that with Neuvillette, surely it can't be any more difficult, right?
Childe convinces you to leave with him, to escape late at night when the timing is perfect. A bit of hope rises in you at the thought of being free, but Childe isn't going to take you to Mondstadt, the nation of freedom.
Life with him ends up being nothing like you dreamed it would be. Everything about Childe stays the same, but any agency you had before has vanished into thin air. He doesn't let you out of whatever apartment he's got set up for you on his latest mission. Childe is convinced that all of your thoughts should be about him, him, him.
It's harder to escape Childe than it ever was to leave Neuvillette. You should feel ashamed as you manage to make your way back to Fontaine, though you consider going to Mondstadt to truly gain your freedom.
But at least with Neuvillette, you have protection from a Harbinger. With Neuvillette, if you're found by him you're most likely just going to get a lecture and a light punishment.
With Childe, if he finds you, you're certain that you'll never see the light of day again.

One of the really fun things about Buffy the Vampire Slayer as a series is that they can’t have all the men looking like giants next to Sarah Michelle Gellar, who is objectively relatively short for a lead Hollywood actress, so you end up with so many supporting men that are short kings. Like. Oz, the ultimate short king. Hello? Need I say more? And secondly, you end up with Buffy regularly kicking ass in high heels which was a big win for gay women everywhere so I think we all really benefited from this situation.

Déjà vu.
Grian thought to himself if it can even be considered déjà vu if it happens with that frequency and consistency… Once again, they were walking together, one guiding – lead in hand –, while the other follows. The destination? Like every time before this, a desert.
While sitting on the back of a camel, Grian couldn’t help but stare at Scar’s back – to the many scars he knew the man carried under the armour; scars he could not defend Scar from, scars taken in his place, scars he made himself.
“Fragile is the word.” Grian murmured quietly, like a secret. Scar was fragile, breakable – but Scar always came back, stronger and maybe even wiser. Much like their damned bond was fragile, breakable yet here they are again.
Grian laughed to himself when they found the small piece of desert that the Watchers gave them; he shook his head. All that Grian and Scar knew how to build together were sand castles – brittle, frail… Fragile and breakable.
“Sand castles are really easy to rebuild, hum?” Grian said in a whisper and Scar smiled back a Grian – that was their little secret.

Look before the War Within starts and Anduin gets to work on his Shadowlands gotten trauma and development I need to dunk on him (affectionate) for a quick second okay?
So in Before the Storm he has this line:
"Her [Sylavnas's] eyes narrowed. Anduin knew she understood the lesson of this day's tragic events. She was not universally loved among her people. He was. She ruled with an iron fist. He ruled with compassion. (pg347)"
Which comparatively sure, fair. Sylvanas has just put a hard, murderous, stop to Calia's first attempt at girlbossing and killed about half the desolate council. Before the Storm is what it needed to be for BfA and beyond.
But I would like to point out that earlier in the book we have this:
"Anduin had been informed that negative sentiment was not limited to his advisors. Guards and Shaw's people had reported that there was muttering in some of the taverns and on the streets. The guards had been instructed to interrupt such conversations if they verged on sedition or grew violent. (pg 248)"
Baby boy that is not universally beloved and ruling with compassion. Lol. Lmao even.
I've scrawled all in my copy with little notes and I have a messy word document with rewrite ideas for this 6 (!) year old book. I am excited to see what we have going on under Silithus. In the end WoW is a video game that needs to keep selling and making new storylines.

How am I? No one has asked. WELL my entire for you page is Destiel so I'm sobbing. How dare you people make me suffer by reminding me of the Supernatural ending. HOW DARE YOU. I am way too exhausted to deal with this right now. The only way I can deal with Destiel is if it's fluffy fanfiction. Am I going to survive this? No
