There are four main types of Batfam fans in regard to how people interpret Bruce Wayne as a dad (/Joking. This is mostly satire and should not be taken seriously):

Fans that think Bruce is emotionally constipated and isn't the best at being a parent but still tries (Differs per person). Don't necessarily think he's absuive but thinks he can be toxic or have unhealthy expectations for the Robins. Can smell the Oldest Daughter Syndrome coming from Dick and have Family Line (By Conan Gray) as their top song on their Dick inspired playlist and Daddy Issues (By The Neighbourhood) for Jason.

Fans that choose to believe Bruce goes to therapy in their own canon. Love B:WFA. Thinks the comic can be cheesy at times and so find a balance between B:WFA Bruce and Please Go To Therapy BruceTM as their middle ground. He struggles. They advocate that Bruce is not a bad parent, he just has bad writers that seem to forget Bruce wouldn't hurt kids, especially not his own. Love the humane moments and scenes he has in BTAS and the early JL cartoons. He may not be perfect but he's not literally abusive. Whores for Bruce being able to admit when he is wrong and for Jason and Bruce reconciling. I recommend Grow As We Go by Ben Platt for this one.

A mix between the first two. Was fine-ish when Dick was younger. Didn't help him in the healthiest way but eh. Still emotionally constipated but that happened more so after Dick left and Jason died. Started getting better when Tim came back but was still closed off. Should probably go to therapy with the kids so they can drag his ass about all the things he's done that have actually affected them negatively. Understands his mistakes and is also able to admit when he's wrong, eventually. It's not easy but he starts to do better and learns to be more emotionally available. Still has to get chewed out by Alfred sometimes but definitely better than he used to be and it shows. Reconciliation is slow and gradual but progress is made for everyone involved.

The one's I personally avoid for my own sanity and wellbeing:

Think Bruce is a complete bastard and abuser. Want him to choke. Hate any and all interpretations of him. Some of which will refuse to understand how anyone could have a different interpretation. Will point out comics where, in all fairness, he is a dick but forget that characterisation can significantly differ from one series to the next, as comic characters are constantly passed around to different writers and have been for decades. Not to mention movies, shows, etc.

I'm reading about APH Canada's bio in the hetawiki and I just realized how disconnected Matthew and Francis' relationship in fanon vs canon. Idk if it's updated (the wiki) but it literally just states that their relationship wasn't really dwelled into in the manga. The only 'in-depth' description of their relationship is that Canada got his hair from France. HOWEVER, Matthew and Arthur's relationship was a little more in depth than Francis and Matthew's relationship. It states in the hetawiki that, "When England fell gravely ill after losing to America and losing much of his support from other European countries, Canada was shown to be his caretaker, and England was extremely grateful for his presence and loyalty." PLEASE I AM SOBBING IM STARTING TO LIKE ARTHUR MORE

so i was rereading my stuff (as i often do lol) and came across one of my absolute favourite things i’ve ever written.

“it is my life’s biggest regret that it was my actions and my mistake that led to james’ death, to both their deaths. they were…the last people on earth who should’ve died so young. james and lily had so much life in them, so much left to give. and i will never forgive myself for the part i played in ending that light. i know i don’t deserve your forgiveness but i’m so sorry, baby.”

and despite sirius’ attempts to stem the tears, they spilled over anyway, and gosh, it ached to see this strong, proud man break down in front of him like this. harry didn’t think sirius deserved to feel this way, but he also knew a thing or two about (irrational) guilt and he knew it was an insidious, poisonous thing that crawled up your body, slowly killing you from the inside out. sirius had been carrying this inside him for a decade and a half, and he was only now letting himself feel the grief and the guilt and the loss, letting himself mourn properly. (and wasn't harry humbled at the thought that sirius considered him trustworthy enough to break down in his arms? it was frightening, the knowledge that he quite literally held his godfathers heart in his hands right now, because who was he kidding, he was the last potter left now who could grant him his absolution)

more & more i am convincing myself that if -- if! -- raymew really never did anything more than that one kiss, & there was nothing more than that happening in the video, then the only explanation that makes sense is that top finds ray very attractive & is operating under the thought process of "no one would turn that man down for sex if he were throwing himself at them." bc genuinely, if all boston showed him was a short chaste kiss then top's weird obsession with the idea that mew has a history with ray is so implausible to me. mew never said or did anything to indicate that he was interested in ray, so why in the world was top so insecure about this?? bc top looked at ray & thought, "would"

that’s so funny and real of top if true but we must consider the fact that top is just really easily manipulated. like given mew and his manipulative tactics and the fact that top like. never questions him and just goes with what he wants, i’m honestly just going under the assumption that top is just really fucking gullible if there was nothing more to the video. plus boston did fully believe that ray and mew had fucked and a lie is always more believable when the person telling it believes it as well.

also this is kind of unrelated but i’ve been thinking it for a while and it’s the same topic, but i find it very interesting that some people view what boston did there as coercion/sa when it’s like. yeah he did it to get top to have sex with him and that’s bad but top literally did not have to respond to “finding out” that ray and mew slept together by sleeping with boston 💀. like the idea that that’s a logical response and therefore makes it coercion is baffling to me
