I know I've said before that Vickie probably has had a crush on Chrissy in the past, but I'm starting to think that maybe that's not the case. I'm staring to headcanon them as cousins. Maybe Laura Cunningham is Vickie's father's sister, and they had a falling out. I just think Chrissy needs family that truly cares for her.

Her mother is definitely abusive, and judging by the fact that her father's lips were stitched closed in front of the TV, he just sits there without saying anything. I know they probably didn't have time to show her brother, but I think that because they showed him in the family portrait, I think he died. I think Laura might blame Chrissy for it or tries to clutch onto Chrissy too tightly by controlling every aspect of her life. I think that maybe he had an asthma attack or something, something that Laura had no control over. Hell, maybe he got killed by the demogorgon in 83.

it's about 90F out (~32C) and for once i actually remembered to wear clothes that cover my skin and slather myself in sunscreen before going out. i often forget bc i don't burn Super easily, but a few weeks ago when i went out in this weather it fucked me up so bad autoimmune-wise that my partners basically had to put me on suicide watch. bc my pain levels were That Fucking Bad. so. I Do Not Want To Do That Again. 🙏 hashtag winning. hashtag self care. hashtag i am so good at adulting.

#this negative association with sunshine will do wonders for nerfing my skin cancer risk but it is slightly depressing #in the past i could be relied upon to stupidly lay in the sun for hours on end unprotected and experience no ill effects aside from #u know. radiation burns #growing up in a northern climate with bad seasonal depression does wild stuff to a mf #but perhaps learning not to get radiation burns is just a natural part of entering ur late 20s as opposed to teens / early 20s #either way. if the ~7 minutes i was in direct sunlight trigger a flare im gonna fucking RIOT. LEAVE ME ALOOONE #autoimmune tag
