mark ; he makes time for you. he's such a busy guy, but whenever he has downtime, he's immediately inviting you over to the dorms or going to your apartment so he can just be with you, whether it's just cuddling or playing video games together or going out and doing something, he always makes time to be with you, no matter what. and he always leaves some of his clothing at your place so you won't miss him too much when he's gone.

"woah," he mumbles to himself, stopping in the doorway to his room when he sees you all curled up under his blankets in his bed, your face shielded from him by his clothes, blankets, and your own hair. he has to take a moment to take you in, mind racing at the fact that you're his, before he walks over, taking of his shoes and jacket, slipping into the bed beside you and wrapping an arm around your middle, pulling you into him, whispering "i love you so much" into your hair, pressing a kiss to the back of your neck.

renjun ; he notices the little things. even when you think he doesn't, even when he acts like he doesn't - he does. he's the type to see you something you mentioned you liked out in public and buy it for you, shrugging his shoulders casually when you start gushing over him and the gist. he's the type to overhear you talking on the phone to your friends about how much you like physical touch, so he starts touching you more; holding your hand, coming up behind you and wrapping his arms around your middle, pulling you into his lap.

"saw this at the store, thought you might like it." he tells you nonchalantly, handing you a little bag with a box of cookies inside, smiling to himself when you get all excited, running towards him to wrap you arms around his neck and press little kisses to his jaw. "they're you're favorite, right?" he asks, resting his hands on your waist, keeping you close, squeezing your hips imperceptibly as you snuggle into his chest.

jeno ; he's protective. he just finds so much comfort in knowing that you're safe and protected and that he's the one that makes you feel safe and protected. he's the type to keep your hand firmly trapped in his whenever you go out, to make sure to walk on the outside of the sidewalk, to keep his hand on the small of your back, just in case. he likes the feeling of knowing your safe.

"hold on," he leans down to whisper in your ear, grabbing your hand and pulling you to his other side as a car passed on the street beside you. he let go of your hand, wrapping an arm around your shoulder and bringing you close to his side, squeezing the skin of your arm every now and again to reaffirm himself that you were still there, that you were safe.

donghyuck ; before you started dating, hyuck was always such a shithead, always poking fun, teasing, pushing you to your limits, just so he can laugh at you when you get all flustered and upset. and he only does it because he can't do what he really wants to, which is kiss you until you can't stand up, so when you finally get together, he just gets so direct. if he wants something from you, he's determined to get it anyway he can to make up for all the lost time.

"you sure you have to go?" he asks, body hovering over yours, propping himself up on his elbows beside your head. and he just sighs heavily when you nod, looking down at you with his big, brown eyes for a moment before leaning down a pressing little kisses to your cheeks, the corners of your mouth, your lips, pushing against yours passionate and bruising, one hand moving down to lace with yours. and he loves how dazed you look when he pulls away, chasing after his lips as he leans back, pushing onto his side so you can get up. "alright, baby, i'll see you later." and all he can do is give you a sickeningly smug look when you roll on top of him, pressing your lips back to his.

jaemin ; he's so unbelievably, greasily soft with you. he's always looking at you with a lovesick look in his eyes, a soft smile taking over his features, and when you ask him what he's looking at, he just blinks slowly and grins up at you from where he's sitting, muttering a soft, "just you, baby." and if it was anyone else, it'd be enough to make you sick, but there's something about how genuine he is.

"c'mere, honey." he mumbles, grabbing your wrist as you walk by him and pulling you down into his lap, his hands immediately finding purchase wrapped around your waist, pulling you into his chest. "look so pretty today, y'know that?" he'd ask, grinning when your face darkens in embarrassment. "pretty thing. love you." and he'd lift your hand to his lips, brushing his lips across your knuckles before he lets you get up.

chenle ; he's gentle with you. he's known for being sassy and teasing with his friends, but he's so different with you. he's so much more soft; his hands hovering over you at all times, touch unassuming but present, his words kind and gentle, always checking in on you, telling you how pretty he thinks you are, how smart you are - constantly showering you in compliments so you never have the time to feel self-conscious.

"you're so gorgeous." he tells you, looking up at you from where he was resting his head on your lap. reaching a hand up, he cups your cheek, making sure you look at him, despite your embarrassment at his blunt comments. "your little freckles, the lines around your eyes, the way your hair frames your face, it's all so gorgeous." he says, looking at you like you're something divine, his thumb brushing over the crest of your cheekbone, before he gets up, pushing you down to lay on your back on the couch, positioning himself over you, leaning down to press a searing kiss to your lips.

jisung ; he gets clingy. or, at least, clingier than usual. he's a guy that, generally, enjoys his own space. he likes having that distance between himself and others; he's not exactly sure why, it's just always been that why. but it's different with you. he feels like he can never be close enough. he likes holding your hand, wrapping an arm around your waist or shoulders, having you sit in his lap, laying on top of you when he gets home from a long schedule; he just needs to be near you at all times.

"hey, honey." he mutters, collapsing beside you on your bed, laying on his back and closing his eyes, nodding slowly when you ask if he's had a long day. "the longest." he replies, peaking at you from the corner of his eyes, before rolling over on top of you, nuzzling his face into your neck, pressing little kisses to the skin there. Downtime

Life had been a crazy mix of chaos, excitement, and action packed evenings since Louis had released his album and started performing. Thankfully today the calendar was completely clear which meant one thing, you and Louis would be doing absolutely nothing. You had already woken up and were sipping a cup of tea when he wandered out of the bedroom, his shorts dropping low on his waist. “Morning love, how did ya sleep?”

“Pretty good, thanks and you?” 

“Yeah it was good for me as well.” Louis placed a kiss on your cheek and poured himself a cup of tea as well. You smiled at him and he gave you a look. “What’s that look for?”

“I’m excited for today.” 

“Louis looked over at you curiously. “What exactly is today? I thought it was the first day off.”

“Well it is, thats why I’m excited. Just you and me. We could have a movie night or just lay out...there are so many options.”

Louis laughed and pulled you into his arms. “That sounds lovely.” You kissed him softly and smiled.

“I’m going to run and grab a quick shower then I’ll be ready.”

“A shower? Already? We have nowhere to go, nothing to do and youre going to shower? I can’t believe that.”

“Do you really want to lay with me after I haven't showered?”

“Love, I would lay with you after you hadn’t showered in a week.”

“Just a week though?”

“Well yeah I don’t want you to be that smelly.” 

You laughed and shook your head. “I’ll be back.”

“Better be quick, we are on a time crunch.” He laughed watching you leave.

You nodded and kissed him again before cuddling up in his arms. He was running his fingers through your hair watching the game and you were scrolling though your phone. “Liam posted another video today.”

“Oh god, can’t wait to hear what he says this week. You know he has the biggest mouth out of every other guy in the band. Did you hear what he was telling people about our reunion and anniversary project? Like Jesus Christ man its supposed to be a secret.”

“I heard you told him you were going to egg his house if he didnt stop talking.”

“Damn right I told him that and I will. He can’t be spoiling the work we are doing.” You smiled and Louis shook his head laughing. “Honestly surprised the video title isn’t ‘Getting the band back together’ or some shit like that.”

“Oh it is. ‘One Direction Anniversary Project: the series’” you grinned looking up at him. 

Louis peaked over your shoulder and laughed. “Good one.”

“Thank you. I think that deserves a kiss don't you?”

“You always deserve a kiss but yeah I reckon I can do that for ya.” Louis lips pressed to yours, your hands gripping the shirt on his chest. His tongue pressed into your and played games until he pulled away, both of you gasping for air. 

The day passed quickly. You and Louis hung out, snacking on foods and watching tv. You moved from your couch inside, to the couch outside. You took Clifford for a walk, holding hands as you wandered the little park by his house. And lastly the two of you just had a good time catching up. You heard more about everything he wants to do after rescheduling his first tour. You made him call his sisters and check in and lastly the two of you decided to make dinner, which was just going to be pasta. “Okay, can you grab the cheese?” you asked Louis pointing to the fridge.

“Yeah, what kind?”

“Anything that goes good with this Italian food.”

“But there are so many choices. What goes good with Italian? Cheddar?”

“How about mozzarella”

Louis grabbed the cheese and you strained the noodles before mixing the sauce in. Each of you grabbed a plate and stacked it full of food, sitting on the couch watching a movie while eating. Halfway through his plate, Louis holds a noodle in his mouth and dangles it by yours. “Comeon(y/n)Imtrynabecute” he mumbles with his mouth closed on the noodle. You open your mouth laughing as he dangles it in and then you both slurp the noodle, your lips pressing together for a quick kiss.

“Cute” you laugh tapping his nose.

“I know I am.”

You just rolled your eyes snuggling into him more. “I’m glad youre home for a bit Lou.”

“I’m glad too. Today is exactly what I’ve needed.”

You grin and kiss him before turning back to your food, smiling about the perfect day full of downtime.

           “Okay, so explain it again so I don’t mess up,” I run my hands over my thighs.

           After dance practice, Jimin and Jungkook asked if they could come over, and Taehyung said yes before I could even process the words. Now, Taehyung and I are sitting on the floor of our apartment, looking right at each other. The two other boys are up on the couch.

           “It is a simple game of rock, paper, scissors,” Jimin replies to me. “With a twist.”

           “Every time Tae wins, he gets to give you a kiss, Amber,” Jungkook explains. “Every time you win, Amber, then you can slap Tae.”

           “What?” Taehyung breaks his gaze with me, shockingly looking at the other two boys. “I didn’t know that.”

           “It doesn’t have to be a hard slap,” Jimin chuckles. “She’s the one doing it anyways.”

           “I wouldn’t hurt you, babe,” I place my hand on my boyfriend’s knee.

           “I know, but, slap just sounds so mean,” Taehyung pouts, looking back up at me. “Kisses sound lovely, though.”

           “It’s a quick kiss,” Jungkook steps in. “Nothing crazy. No making out.”

           “What if I win a lot?” Taehyung asks. “Can I then?”

           “Not with us here,” Jimin answers. “You can make out when we leave.”

           I giggle, “Let’s play the game.”

           Taehyung smiles at me, “I am going to win so much.”

           Both of us play paper, then rock, then paper. The is broken by Taehyung playing scissors with me playing paper.

           “I get to kiss the princess,” Taehyung sings, cupping my face in his hands to pull me in for a quick kiss. “So sweet.”

           More ties and wins for Taehyung. That is until the luck switches to my side.

           “Cutie finally won!” Jimin cheers out.

           “I thought we were going to have to watch them kiss for the whole game,” Jungkook sighs.

           “Slap me, jagi,” Taehyung leans forward. “It is the rules.”

           “I’ll be gentle,” I take a deep breath, raising my hand. Too scared to hurt the boy in front of me, I barely tap his cheek.

           The boys burst into laughter, causing Haipeo and Keyowo to rush in barking. My ears heat up and my head falls so I’m looking at my lap.

           “Aw baby, look at me,” Taehyung sputters out through his laughs. “That was so cute.”

           I shake my head, “No, I’m blushing hard.”

           “Some one is embarrassed,” Jimin coos. “Kiss her, Tae.”

           “Adorable girl, you could have given the slap a little bit behind it,” Jungkook says. “But that was crazy cute.”

           “I thought it was going to be harder,” I sigh.

           “Don’t be sad,” Taehyung grabs my hands, pulling me into his chest. “That was very sweet that you didn’t want to hurt me.”

           “I just love you so much, and would never hurt you on purpose,” I wiggle around so I can look up at Taehyung. “I wish everyone got kisses. No hurting one another.”

           “Aw jagi, that’s how I think. Every day I fall in love with you even more. I find out about random things, and I just want to marry you right there.”

           “”She’s the best,” Jungkook says. “Perfect for you, hyung.”

           “I hope to find love like you two one day,” Jimin adds. “Soulmates.”

           I pout, “So, is the game over?”

           “Do you want it to be?” Taehyung rubs his nose across mine. “We can play video games instead.”

           “I want to play Mario Kart,” I smile. “And order take-out.”

           “Is that alright with you boys?” Taehyung looks up at his two friends.

           “Sounds perfect,” Jimin nods. “As long as Amber is happy.”

           “Pizza for take-out and I am all for it,” Jungkook smiles.

           “I am actually craving some pepperoni pizza,” I chuckle. “And some garlic bread or something.”

           “Then that’s what we will get,” Taehyung nods. “For my princess.”

           “Amber!” Eonjin rushes to me as Taehyung and I stand in the foyer taking our shoes off.

           “Eonjin!” I brace myself as the girl stumbles into a hug. “Oh, it’s been too long. Have you been studying hard? Having fun with friends? Going out on dates? Enjoying your life?”

           The younger girl giggles, “So many questions, Unnie. Um, no dating, so lots of time with friends. Life is good, but studying is low.”

           “Good, no boyfriend I have to check into,” Taehyung pushes my shoes over to the wall by his.

           “Oh, Taehyungie, you would never,” Eonjin releases me from her grasp to look at her brother. “Just focus on your own relationship.”

           “I am,” he wraps his arm around my waist, pulling me into his side. “I focus on Amber every second, but I can focus on you and the rest of the family. The group. ARMY.”

           “You are the best, Tae,” Eonjin grabs my free hand. “We know you care about us so much. That’s why you come back here as often as possible.”

           “Never feel back for being you babe,” I speak up. “You work hard for everything. I love you. We all love you so much.”

           “Yes, and so when I get a boyfriend, you’ll meet him. But that’s all,” Eonjin pokes her brother’s chest. “Don’t scare him.”

           “I would never,” Taehyung overly gasps.

           “Sure, sure,” she rolls her eyes. “Come on, lunch must be ready.” She pulls her hand away, turning to walk into the house.

           “You are sweet, wifey,” Taehyung nuzzles his face into the top of my head. “I love you.”

           “Mmhmm,” I smile. “My tan, boxy smile, funny, easy-going, hard-working boyfriend. My honey,” I coo.

           “Honey,” he muses. “I like that.”

           I giggle, “Come on, I’m hungry.”

           The two of us separate a bit before heading into the house.

           “Finally, took you two long enough,” Taehyung’s mom smirks, giving me a wink. “Come now, sit and eat.”

           “It is good to see you, Amber,” Jeonggyu smiles at me as I take a seat at the dinner table.

           “We didn’t talk a lot last time I was here,” I smile as Taehyung begins dishing out food for the both of us. “How have you been? Studying harder than your sister?”

           “Hey,” Eonjin pouts. “I thought we were friends.”

           “I’m good,” Jeonggyu grins. “I love school, so I am always looking to learn more. I want to learn English, and maybe we could have a conversation one day that way.”

           “That would be a lot of fun,” I push Taehyung’s hand off my thigh.

           “Has life over here been good for you, dear?” Mr. Kim speaks up. “Have you settled in?”

           “Life over here has made me the happiest I have ever been,” I smile, picking up my chopsticks. “I think I am settled in, but we’ve been traveling a lot. I feel at home when we are at our apartment.”

           “And you have two dogs now, yes?” Mrs. Kim asks.

           “We do,” Taehyung answers. “They help us relax after work, and are our practice kids.”

           “So Amber is going to be pregnant soon?” Eonjin’s eyes go a bit wide.

           “No, no,” I almost choke on the noodles I was chowing down on. “I am not ready to have kids yet. Not for a while.”

           “Eonjin, we aren’t even married yet, and are in a very busy point of our lies,” Taehyung fixes the chopsticks in my left hand. “So, no kids for us at the moment.”

           “Two dogs are a handful already, so no need to add to it,” I smile, stuffing some chicken into my mouth.

           “The time will come,” Mrs. Kim smiles. “No need to rush anything. Everything will fall into place when the time is right.”

           Lunch ends and Amber is dragged off to the living room by Eonjin. Jeonggyu follows the girls, but gets a book while the two talk. Taehyung stays in the kitchen to help his parents clean up, and talk to them about an important topic on his mind.

           “What’s on your mind, sweetheart?” Mrs. Kim hands her son a clean dish to dry.

           “A few things,” Taehyung smiles as he sees Amber explaining the reason behind her infinity necklace.

           “I’m sorry your grandmother wasn’t here today,” Mr. Kim pats his son on the shoulder. “Your aunt took her to the hospital for a check-up.”

           “It’s fine,” Taehyung sighs. “She needs to get check-ups. Health is most important.”

           “So, what else  is on your mind?” Mrs. Kim asks.

           “My jagi,” Taehyung replies. “Ever since she got here, I have been thinking of our life together. How I love her with all my being, and want to be with her for the rest of my life.”

           “True love is so heartwarming. You two are so cute. I never would have guessed you would fall in love with an American girl, but you did, and she fits with us perfectly.”

           “Does she know how you feel? Does she feel the same?” Mr. Kim asks.

           “Yes, and yes,” Taehyung nods. “I want to marry her.”

           Amber bursts into giggles at one of Eonjin’s stories, causing Taehyung’s heart to swell with love.

           “That’s clear to see,” Mrs. Kim chuckles. “Last year you told us this.”

           “I know,” Taehyung sighs. “This time I’m telling you because I am going to propose this year. Soon.”

           “Are you sure about this?” Mr. Kim is quick to question. “You’ve thought long and hard about this?”

           “Many months now, and I’ve talked it out with all the guys. This is what I want to do. No one else makes me feel like she does, and I know that I want to start a family with her.”

           “Have you planned how you are going to propose yet?” Mrs. Kim pulls the plug in the sink.

           “No,” Taehyung leans up against the counter. “I wanted to make sure you two were on board first.”

           “Of course,” Mr. Kim chuckles. “You’ve been with her for a few years, and are deeply in love. Marriage is the next step.”

           “Thank you boy,” Taehyung smiles. “I’ll probably wait until the group has a lot of downtime, and I can plan a great proposal.”

           “She’ll say yes,” Mrs. Kim smiles. “No doubt. Now, go hang out with your siblings and girlfriend. We can finish cleaning up.”

           “Thanks mom,” Taehyung kisses his mother on the cheek. Then rushes over to be with the one he loves so much.

           “Hi babe,” Amber snuggles into her boyfriend’s side.

           “Miss me princess?” Taehyung chuckles.

           “Only a little bit. Eonjin is a delight.”

           “Thank you,” Eonjin widely smiles.

           “So, what were you three talking about back there?” Amber asks.

           “Just some family things,” Taehyung answers. “I’ll tell you later. For now, what’s going on over here?”

           “Well, I had a lovely time visiting your family, Tae,” I yawn, looking out the window to see the sun setting.

           “They love having you over,” Taehyung grabs my hand. “Eonjin really likes having a girl to talk to.”

           “I’m sorry we never have the chance to eat lunch with my family, and talk to them about important things. Maybe one day when we are back in America I can plan something.”

           “Well, we are over here in Korea, and they aren’t, so no reason to be sorry. We’ll plan something  for the next time we are in the neighborhood if we can.”

           “I’m not sure I want you to meet my family all at once like that, though,” I sigh, squeezing his hand. “They are a lot to take in.”

           “And my family isn’t?” Taehyung chuckles. “I’m sure I would be fine. I mean, I should get a bit better at English, but I would be fine with you by my side.”

           “Your family is lovely,” I giggle. “But, if we can plan something, then I’ll have to agree.”

           “So, what did you tell Eonjin about your necklace?”

           I pull the infinity necklace out of my shirt. “Just that it was from you, and is about how our love will be strong to the end. It’s also a promise to stay together, and one day get married.”

           “It makes me so happy that you wear it every day,” Taehyung kisses the top of my head.

           “It is from you,” I smile. “Show how much you love me.”

           “Then why is it always hidden beneath your shirt collar? Are you afraid of the looks and questions?”

           “No, no,” I intertwine our fingers. “I just like having it as close to my heart as possible.”

           “That’s,” Taehyung maneuvers so he can look into my eyes. “The sweetest thing I have ever heard. You make my heart flutter.”

           I lean up, pressing my lips to his for a second. “I would never hide our love from the world. Everyone know anyways.”

           “So sweet,” he moves his mouth to my ear. “I could just eat you out. Whoops, I meant up,” his voice is low and husky, making me shiver.

           “Tae,” I squeal, pushing the boy away from me. “How can you say that so easily? Such a dirty minded boy.”

           “I can say it so easily because I love you so much. I know we will get to that point one day, and there’s no reason to be shy or embarrassed around you.”

           “But, I get shy and embarrassed,” I pout. “Stuff like that just does that to me.”

           “It’s okay, wifey,” Taehyung kisses my pushed out bottom lip. “You are such an innocent princess. I can fix that,” he smirks.

           “Tae,” I whine. “I’m not that innocent. You think I don’t go on the internet, but I do, and I have seen a lot. There’s some not so clean things out there.”

           “So, you know how to get down?” His cheeks have a light dusting of red.

           “Um, well, I have read some things,” I stutter out.

           “Aw, my baby is nervous,” he coos. “You read dirty things about me?”

           “I never said it was about you,” I sit up a bit straighter.

           Taehyung’s mouth hangs open a bit and his eyes widen. “But, what, are you?”

           I giggle, “Now look who’s nervous. Of course it’s you,” I poke his chest. “Can we talk about something else now?”

           “What do you want to talk about?” Taehyung fixes my glasses, running a hand through my hair.

           “It was nice to play with Soonshim today. I know she smells our dogs on us. Next time we visit, we should bring them.”

           “We could do that. We should do a road trip back here. Stop at some nice little towns, and see some beautiful scenery.”

           “That sounds lovely,” I smile, tapping his nose. “I would love to go on a road trip with you. When we have time.”

           “I’ll start planning in my notebook then.”

           “Do you know if your grandma’s check-up went well?”

           “It went as good as it could have,” Taehyung pats his lap. “You know how positive I am all the time, but she’s on the decline, and I just want to let it all out.”

           I climb into my boyfriend’s lap, placing a hand into his hair. “So, don’t hold it in. You see me cry, and I have seen you cry a few times. Just let it out.”

           Taehyung sniffles, “I just want to pe positive for you all the time.”

           “Impossible. You need to be sad, and angry, and tired, and all those other emotions. Have a meltdown. I do.”

           “I know,” he nuzzles his face into my neck. “I love you so much for being so accepting.”

           “Just let it out babe,” I run a hand down his back. “It will make you feel better, I promise.”

           Taehyung’s crying doesn’t shock me, but it does make my heart ache. I know that this is a very positive step in both his life and our relationship. No holding back emotions. Being honest with each other will make us stronger.

[Allurance, Season 8, Teen rating (first time), fluff, 1,200 words]

Summary: Allurance pillow talk. Allura asks when Lance knew she was The One.

“When did you know?” Allura asks, looking up from Lance’s bare chest to his face.

They spent their first night together after three weeks dating on the Atlas. Seeing Lance every day kept Allura sane as she worked tirelessly to track Honerva’s whereabouts. They settled into a routine that fit both of their work schedules. In the mornings, Lance would walk her from her room to the med bay, giving her a quick kiss before leaving for training. The next time they saw each other was at dinner, where they both decompressed. They’d talk about the boring parts of their day first since Allura’s meetings in the med bay area were too painful to discuss over yesterday’s stew. Lance cracked jokes that made Allura nearly spit out her drink, completely erasing whatever shitty feelings clouded her mind from earlier, and each day she looked forward to seeing him more and more.

After dinner, they’d walk around the Atlas together and talk about pretty much anything. Lance came up with the idea to share their bucket list of things they’d like to do on earth.

His ideas were simple: buy a new guitar, learn how to snowboard, surf on Playa Azul.

Allura’s were also simple: visit an art museum, play in the snow, learn how to ride a bike.

Eventually, their plans became shared ones: hike the Grand Canyon, dogsit, travel to Europe. The world was theirs, and Lance gave her a home on earth and in space to look forward to.

One night Lance takes her to the astronomy room where they could see out into space. Allura wears the blush pink dress that she wore on their first date. Lance holds her hand as they gaze at the galaxies and constellations that they could practically name in their sleep.

After, Lance leads her to his bedroom. They kiss, slowly then fervently, and he undresses her, basking in her beauty. They stare at each other in awkward silence until Allura moves forward to kiss him again and again, bursting with love for him. They take things slow because none of them have done this before. They fumble for a bit, occasionally hurting and soothing each other in the process, but once they find their rhythm, Allura lets Lance take the lead. She’ll follow him anywhere, this boy who stutters breathy words of praise and affection at the nape of her neck. The constellations from earlier burn in her vision as she cries out his name, grasping hard at his shining, sinewy back.

Now, they’re lying in his bed, Allura sleeping completely naked for the first time. She’s so glad she’s not alone, that her favorite person is breathing steadily next to her.

“When did you know?” she asks again, watching as he lazily blinks to return her gaze.

“Know what?” he says, eyes lit with curiosity as he pushes a strand of hair behind her ear.

“That you loved me?”

He thinks for a moment, pursing his lips until he finds a satisfying answer.

“Probably that time you bathed the mice. While I was at the space mall.”

“What?” she says in surprise, propping her head up on one elbow. “Why then?”

“Well,” he smiles, “I know you were really stressed out about Zarkon tracking us and not having enough fuel for the castle. I hoped you could join us but knew you had more important things to do. I actually thought a lot about you that day, even browsed the women’s jewelry section. Though I figured you were just joking about wanting jewelry.”

Allura raises her eyebrow, her expression stern. “I never joke about sparkly things.”

“I know that now,” he teases, and she taps his nose affectionately. “I thought that when we returned, you’d be at the controls planning the route for our next wormhole jump—you know, things that I normally see you do. Then we came back, and I saw your hair, and wow, it was so freaking cute.”

Allura groans in embarrassment. “Ah yes, the mice gave me a new hairdo. So that’s what won you over?”

“Nah, I was probably far gone long before then…”

Allura’s heart starts to beat faster. She thinks back to what “before then” was. She remembers Lance lingering after breakfast every morning to ask her what their agenda for the day would look like. He often walked to the castle ship bridge with her as she listed their duties: in-house or simulation training, ship maintenance, or a visit to a nearby planet. He always spoke in a shy and polite voice, completely unlike the bravado he put on when the others were around.

“And then?” she asks curiously.

“So I saw you with your new hairdo, and you looked so damn cute and happy, it made me insanely happy. And—not sure if you remember—I asked what you had been up to that day, expecting some brief report on when we’ll be taking off and where to.”

Allura nods, trying to conjure up the memory.

“You said simply, ‘I gave the mice a bath today.’”

Allura waits for him to finish, but he doesn’t say anything else. “Is that it?” she laughs.

“Yeah. You looked so accomplished doing that small task. I always wondered what you did on your downtime. Like, I couldn’t picture you playing video games or anything. So that gave me a sense of the real you, I guess. Not this person I always imagined in my head who always works herself to the bone and never takes time to relax. Even then you were still helping out the little guys. I just found that so charming, and I wished so badly that I stayed with you instead. To get to know you better.”

Allura smiles and reaches for his hand fiddling with a long strand of her hair. “Now you have me,” she says as she kisses his hand.

“Now I have you,” he echoes in an awed voice.

“You know,” Allura says, “I wish I had gone with you too. It sounded fun. And I thought you looked really cute when you brought Kaltenecker home. You were smiling so big. I had no idea what exactly Kaltenecker was, but you were excited about it, so I just went along with it.”

Lance smiles deviously. “You thought I was cute.”

“Yes, I did,” she says, giving his hand a small peck. “I do. There’s just one part I’m missing. All those times after breakfast, when we’d walk to the bridge together...was that you trying to get to know me better? So we could be friends?”

“Yeah, pretty much,” Lance mumbles shyly. “Did it work?”

Allura retraces her morning walk to the castle bridge after breakfast. She used to cut through the pod bay, but then began taking the longer route once Lance started joining her. She liked hearing him talk. He had a lot to say, but he was also a really good listener. Patient. Kind. Funny, often at his own expense. She’d been paying more attention to him than he ever even knew, she realizes.

She snuggles up to his chest, sighing happily as he wraps her in his arms. “It worked.”

Kokichi:

○ Que a super dramatic reaction the second he sees s/o’s injury. ‘I can’t believe my s/o is dying waahhhhh!!’ ‘Kokichi--’ ‘Sometimes I can still hear their voice.’ ‘this is so sad Alexa play despacito’

○ Of course, he only jokes because he can tell that the injury isn’t too serious. He’s gotten used to s/o being as clumsy as they are and he can generally tell just how much pain they’re in by their body language

○ He’ll set up a pillow fort around the couch so s/o has somewhere extra cozy to rest. Probably tries to prop them up on wayyy too many pillows but it’s still a nice gesture

○ Makes somewhat of a game out of it. He pretends that s/o is royalty and he’s their servant whenever he needs to bring them something. Occasionally he makes good-natured jabs at Kirumi while he does this

○ He probably even has a maid outfit tucked away that he’ll bring out if s/o is having a particularly rough time or is feeling particularly down. He got it for a prank initially, but he’ll wear it again if it’ll get s/o to smile

○ He will get a little whiny sometimes if s/o asks him to get something but it’s again, good-natured. He might complain about them being a slave driver or make a joke about them faking their injury so he’ll do all this for them, but he still won’t hesitate to actually get what they need

○ Sticks close to s/o’s side too. He doesn’t want them to be lonely but he knows they can’t strain themselves so he tries to keep himself occupied around the house, and even moves DICE’s secret meetings so he doesn’t have to be too far away from s/o

○ Gets a little pouty sometimes though. He gets bored with his partner in crime out of commission. He whines about it but it’s still half joking as he puts his head on s/o and whines about how he wants them to hurry up and get better already

○ It’s not the same as going out and doing the pranks, but the downtime does give Kokichi a lot of time to plan pranks with s/o, at least. It almost makes him antsier to carry them out, but with so much time to plan perfect pranks Kokichi knows it’ll be worth it to wait and do them together with s/o

○ The one upside for Kokichi is the snuggles. With s/o spending so much time sitting or laying down he has lots of opportunity to crawl on top of them and cuddle them. He spends a lot of time cuddling into their side or laying between their legs with his head on their stomach. Likes to pretend that he’s trapped s/o and they can’t run away because they’re stuck.

Rantaro:

○ Honestly he’s not surprised when s/o comes home limping, holding an ice pack to their knee. He’s gotten used to how clumsy they are. He hates to see them hurt but he has, to an extent, gotten used to it

○ Immediately he’s up and helping s/o walk to the couch so they can rest the injury. He might even scold them lightly for not calling him to come pick them up so they didn’t have to walk/drive on their injured leg the whole way home

○ Since s/o is clumsy and Rantaro is used to their little injuries he has a pretty good idea of what to do right away. He’s getting them a fresh ice pack, some pain medication, and anything else they find particularly comforting (tea, snacks, ect)

○ He’s actually really good at wrapping or dressing injuries if anything needs to be put on it to keep the knee steady. If not, he’ll still probably have some kind of band or something to help the healing process handy.

○ Doesn’t baby s/o, but he’s happy to help out. He won’t do everything for them but if they ask him to get up and grab something, or do something to ease the pain he doesn’t mind. He’ll spoil them a little, but keeps it reasonable

○ Rantaro has a very calm demeanor so he’s very reassuring to be around. Any spiraling, worried thoughts that s/o may have are easily quelled by just how calm Rantaro is. His laid-back approach is contagious

○ Of course, he does show worry if s/o shows any signs of extra pain or discomfort. He’s always quick to ask what’s wrong and what he can do to help.

○ Arranges lots of movie nights and other lazy, stay-in dates. He knows s/o can’t go out much or exert themselves but he doesn’t want them to feel lonely or too bored

○ He always lets s/o pick the movie or what they have to eat - whether it’s take out or something he needs to cook. In his mind, it’s as close as he can get to making the fact that they can’t get out as much up to them

○ When he can’t be home or starts getting too stir-crazy himself he’s sure to video chat with s/o and show them what he’s seeing. That was it’s almost like they’re right there with him! Kind of, anyway.

Shuichi:

○ Immediately worried when s/o comes home limping. His thoughts fly to worst case scenarios and he’s wondering if he should report your injury and find whoever hurt you, or do some detective work on his own and call Kaito for back up when he found the person...

○ He’s quite relieved to know that nobody hurt s/o though. He can’t help but sweatdrop a bit at their clumsiness, but at least it wasn’t anything more serious than a bad fall caused by accident.

○ No matter how often s/o’s clumsiness results in them hurting themselves Shuichi just can’t get used to it. He always worries, and frets over s/o a bit more than he needs to.

○ He’s always double checking to make sure the cabinets are stocked with medicine but he’s checking again anyway and maybe even running out to buy some extra stuff just in case.

○ Dotes on s/o, but mostly only if they ask. He’ll go out of his way to get anything they need and doesn’t really mind going out to get things they want either, as long as he’s not too wrapped up in a case.

○ Of course, he does check in on them from time to time. He’s not excessive, but if he’s running out he’ll make sure they don’t need anything and he just checks in every now and again to make sure they’re not in too much pain

○ Mostly leaves them to their own devices, to be honest. He doesn’t want to disturb them, and isn’t really sure how to keep them entertained. Of course, if s/o wants his company he’s more than happy to oblige. They just have to say something.

○ Shuichi probably ends up asking his friends about knee injuries. Maki and Tenko probably give some of the best advice as to how to help with the pain, and Shuichi will pass their suggestions along to s/o.

○ He does his own research too, on things he can do to help and on products that might be useful. He just wants to make s/o as comfortable as possible and help them heal as quickly as they can.

○ On one of his trips to the store to get something he ends up picking up an adorable teddy bear for s/o. He gives it to them saying he hopes it makes them feel better and keeps them company while he’s working. Literally he is an angel.

Kiibo:

○ Super worried! He’s not overly familiar with human injuries quite yet so he has a hard time understanding the severity of them sometimes. Because of this he always assumes they’re worse than they are so he’s quite panicked.

○ Poor thing is easily calmed down by s/o’s assurances that it’s nothing overly serious (it’s not broken and they’ll be able to walk again) but they just need to rest it for now but he’s still worried. Mostly he’s worried about how much it hurts, seeing as he has no real concept as to what human pain is like and doesn’t want s/o to be suffering.

○ Downloads all the information he can on injuries of s/o’s type - though s/o does have to assure him that the internet isn’t always right and they do not, in fact, have a rare bone disease startign in their knee. He just wants to get all the information he can so he can nurse s/o back to health to the best of his ability

○ Rest is the main thing they need, so Kiibo is going to insist that they move as little as possible as not to worsen the injury. He’ll get them anything they need at the top speed his hardware is capable of - which is honestly slightly below average but… he’s trying

○ Super attentive to any of their needs. He’s a bit much, checking in on s/o near constantly to make sure they don’t need any pain medicine, anything else to drink, to replace their ice pack, ect. but he’s doing his best

○ S/o does need to draw the line when Kiibo tries to carry them to the bathroom, though, Like, they need to move some, for starters and that’s… a little personal.

○ He’ll come home from the store a day after s/o’s injury with actual armfuls of medicines he thought may help. Pain killers, topical treatments, some tea: anything he thought might make s/o feel even a little better

○ He’s definitely going to make them see a doctor, if they haven’t already. If s/o refuses to go he’ll find a doctor willing to make a housecall. He just wants to be sure it isn’t anything more serious than s/o thinks.

○ Kiibo calls work for them, explaining the situation and telling them s/o will be off for a few days. They are going to rest and he’s going to make sure they and their injury get all the time needed to heal!

He adores all the stories you tell, giving you as much attention as he can whenever you tell them. While he enjoys them all, his favourites are the scary ones as he always gets an excuse to cuddle up with you afterwards claiming that he’s scared but he’s smirking all the while saying it, it’s rather adorable. You constantly have video game competitions with stupid dares and rewards at the end (like giving the other a kiss, or strip gaming) especially in games like Mario Cart and Super Smash bros (Nintendo, the most family friendly company creating the the ultimate relationship destroying games)

He adores your body and when around you usually clings to you like a koala just to be close. Loves to give you hugs too! His favourite way to hug you is side hugs, jumping out to surprise you and holding you so tight you might stop breathing for a moment. Did I mention he loves to spin you around? Because he absolutely does. One of his favourite downtime activities with you is cuddling with you for hours on end, snuggling up to your stomach and napping (he murmurs and nuzzles in his sleep, he’s like a kitten).

His humour and yours tend to line up, especially with the ‘I want the whole world to end.’ Bit. However majority of the time he will take these jokes too literal. There was one time where you mentioned offhand that 'I would totally steal it if i could’ when you saw something you wanted but couldn’t afford, aaand in response he took out one of his concussion mines and said 'let’s do it shall we?’ With an evil smirk plastered on his face.

How To Stay Healthy And Active At Home While Social Distancing?  Given the current situation, it is becoming more and more apparent that social distancing is not only a good idea but necessary to save lives, and because of that, most of us are stuck at home. Since socializing with others is being actively discouraged, our lives are being fundamentally changed - from how we work to how we play. However, we still need to take care of our physical and mental wellbeing. This can be done by making healthy diet choices, remaining upbeat, and being physically active - even while staying indoors - for your health and everyone else’s health.  Here are some simple ways to stay healthy and active at home:  1. Find A Routine And Stick To It      It is often not before some kind of disruption that you realize just how important a daily routine is when it comes to work and family. Preparing breakfast, going to work, socializing with your friends, and so forth - these are all very enriching and ingrained into your life. While having to stay at home, for now, it’s crucial to create a new routine and find alternative ways to stay active.  Sure, it may be tempting to stay in your pajamas all day or do your work from bed if you’re able to, but this will wear on you and can have adverse effects on your mood and motivation. On the flip side, having a routine is shown to have positive benefits on your mental health. For example, you can wake up at the same time every day, get some exercise, and then have a healthy and nutritious breakfast – this will create a positive start to your day.  2. Get Some Fresh Air Fresh air is vital to our health and wellbeing, especially now that we are undergoing so much stress. If you aren’t sick and haven’t been traveling, there should be no problem with spending brief amounts of time outside - as long as you stay at least six feet from others. But imagine if everyone were going out, it would be impossible to maintain that distance - which would quickly defeat the purpose of social distancing. Fortunately, you can get fresh air into your lungs every day without actually leaving the house. If you have a garden or a back yard, walk around for a bit or do some stretches. If you live in an apartment, sit on your balcony for a few minutes. If you have family or friends who fall into a high-risk group - due to their age or some underlying medical condition - make sure to reach out to them regularly. Just once or twice a day, even briefly, can work wonders for both you and them.  7.  Adjust To Working From Home As health officials are urging everyone to stay inside, more people are working from home now - and many of them are adjusting to it for the first time. Working remotely actually has many benefits. It eliminates daily commutes, boosts productivity, and leads to healthier lifestyles. For some people, however, it can result in feelings of isolation and longing for friends at work. If you’ve never worked from home before, encourage your employer to use instant messaging for your day to day communications or to have video-chat meetings weekly.  It can help you feel less alone and more connected to your team. Designating a quiet, relaxing space as your home office is much better than working on your laptop in front of the TV. It sets the right tone and helps you stay focused - away from distractions you may not be used to at work. It’s also important to let others in your household know what is expected of you as you work from home, and that a quiet distraction-free workspace is needed.  8. Replace Lost Physical Contact   Humans are social beings and need physical touch. And while we often don’t realize it, a smile and a hug go a long way. If you are at home with your family and everyone is healthy, it’s probably OK to have reasonable amounts of physical contact. Just remember to maintain handwashing routines and avoid touching your face. Pets can also help us with our cravings for physical contact. Petting or hugging your devoted furry friend can do wonders. It may not be the same as human contact, but it is the next best thing. If physical contact with your family or a pet isn’t a possibility, do something to treat yourself and make yourself as comfortable as possible. Snuggle up with a warm blanket, or hold a warm beverage so you can feel physically comforted.  9. Limit Your Exposure To The News  If you’re watching or listening to the news nonstop, or even setting aside extra time in your new routine for it, this section is for you! Turning your notifications off or limiting news to once or twice a day is enough to keep up on the latest developments - without negatively affecting your mental health. Also, try to focus on local news and don’t get caught up in grandiose scenarios or what-ifs.  10. Take Mindfulness Breaks   De-stressing is more imperative now than ever, and experts suggest taking mini mindfulness breaks throughout the day. Taking even five minutes to turn your attention inward, focus on your breathing, and to block out the outside world can help you unwind immensely.
