That "loosely sticking to canon" is a little tricky for me. Why? Because in the canon I see them as two guys that find comfort in knowing that someone understands them and they are free to do as they please because the other won't stop them.

This is gonna be a long one and I apologize for it, but I love them so much. I can't help it.

Still, here are my headcanons 😈:

In the beginning, Dabi is never around and when he is, he's being mean and annoying in the background. Shigaraki doesn't tolerate him, but he respects him. Since they met, Shigaraki knew that boy wouldn't stop to achive what he wanted, just like himself.

There was a moment between them, the seed of something. Before the summer camp attack, Shigaraki called Dabi apart so he could set the nomu to respond to his voice and his voice only. You can imagine Shigaraki walking up to him, telling him to follow and Dabi being a piece of trash about it.

Shigaraki them tells him why he's needed out loud and turns around, already walking. The rest of the League complains or comments in the background but Dabi leaves them without a word. He's too busy thinking Tomura must be really stupid to trust him when he barely knows him. Or well he could— He could be smart enough to see through him?

With the years, Dabi has learned to be careful of those guys. He doesn't trust people, no exceptions. He prefers to think Tomura is an idiot.

Being honest, that was the minute Dabi decided he would try to read Tomura. He was he new boss, Dabi was only only being careful. Nothing more.

Let's keep the imaging.

Tomura sits and he unceremoniously calls the nomu, gives him some commands and tells Dabi to use his voice to give him the same commands. They do it a couple of times until Shigaraki is satisfied and Dabi is free to go.

For someone else watching, it was cold and professional. For them, it was kinda weird. There was a little tension than neither of them was acknowledging and there was a quietness, a silence Tomura was used to. It was weird because it felt like they were alone, because they were used to being alone, but somehow they were being alone together— with the freaking nomu. It felt like visiting the vet. Dabi didn't like it.

Time goes by. Things happen.

They have a silent agreement that marks Dabi as one of Shigaraki's commander. He's a special one tho, because apparently he can do whatever the he he wants. He says he's gonna recruit? Tomura approves it with a simple nod and that's it.

Since we have only seen Twice's apartment, I'm assuming here that the rest of the League lived in the bar with Kurogiri and Tomura. Which makes sense because they wouldn't have anywhere else to go.

The only times Shigaraki and Dabi are together is when Dabi occasionally return to their base for whatever reasons. It is loud and crowded so they don't get the chance to interact that much. What they can do is observe the other.

None of them is ashamed of doing it. They stare and stare back. The League plays it off because that's probably two idiots trying to assert dominance or some shit.

It's stupid and they only find out about useless things. What they like to drink, how they walk or react to certain things, what throws them off, what makes them happy... Things you'd know about your classmate.

Their interactions change after what happened in Kamino and the night Magne died.

Dabi was taken by surprise when he saw Tomura walking in. He was calm, collected, even more honest than usual. When he took the hand off his face, the whole room held their breath.

His features were delicate, even beneath all the scars and dry skin. He's eyes were gentle, which was scarier than his maniac look. They held blood and the promise of danger, but not to them. Dabi brushed it off later.

Dabi keeps being his sarcastic self. Shigaraki doesn't react that much. Their barriers are tight closed as ever. Except when...

Well, those nights. The ones they don't talk about. The ones when Dabi is drunk and Tomura is way too sleep deprived and they find themselves insulting the other in hushes. They're normally out of the League's hearing range, alone in some abandoned part of their actual base.

Catching feelings for the other is a good expression. It's like they're catching a cold or something viral by accident. You just have to be in the wrong place at the right time to get yourself infected.

Their minds are blurry and their hearts are feeling raw the first time they interact like that. It's like Dabi is nothing but a young man trying to find his way back home from some bar because he was done with his working week. Or maybe Tomura is a tired student who's been dealing with a lot of stress and it's feeling bare and naked with his hair floating around with the wind.

They look at each other like they always do. Like trying to solve a mystery. Like trying to put together a puzzle. Like trying to decipher a code you shouldn't be worried about, but it distracts you from the world so why not.

Tomura is the one who notices Dabi is bleeding. He points it out. Dabi shrugs and then Tomura just shakes his head and starts walking, Dabi following him, recognizing that face from being a silent command.

For the rest of the night, Dabi teaches Shigaraki how to fix his staples and Shigaraki does so, taking the hand away from his face for better care.

They wonder about the other. How can Tomura know so much about fighting when it looked like he always lived alone? Why was Dabi drinking something stronger than usual? Where his scars always there? Had he patched someone else before? Was Dabi used to other people patching him?

They go to sleep. When they wake up, the only think in their heads is this can't happen again. They got distracted. Distraction means getting softer. That's a no no for them.

Good question!!! I never really thought about it, but first of all I would need all the cut scenes, all the scenes we saw from the trailer but didn't get in the show.

- More Sam and Joaquin scenes!!! I would have liked to see Joaquin as the Falcon. The mentor/mentee relationship between them! Bucky acting like he's annoyed with Torres but in reality he adores him.. all that.

- If the show had a longer runtime, I would have liked to see Sam and Bucky deal with different kind of villains, it's not that I don't like the flagsmashers, but I was less invested in them, so I would have liked a last episode maybe, where they're already settled in this new dynamiy and are fighting Aliens (or androids lol)

- More about Ayo & Bucky's relationship==> Not for myself but for other people who have watched I don't know which show and think Ayo and Bucky's aren't friends... They clearly have a special bond and a lot of people in the fandom were disgusting and racists towards Ayo when only someone who loves Bucky would put up with him making Zemo escape and still give him 8 hours to finish his business.

-More Sarah! I know you asked me what I would want to see not what I would change, but I would have like to see Sam's world reaching Sarah and her having to fight maybe the Flagsmashers trying to kidnap her or something? I like it when civilian (non-Superheroes) also show their skills (a little bit like Pepper)and she would be more involved in the main storyline.

- Some scenes felt like they were missing. I would have like to know what happened between the beginning of episode 5 where Bucky was still acting like a jerk, tossing the shield at Sam and ending of episode 5 where he decided he would never spend a waking hour without Sam...

- More cameos for other Avengers (and by other Avengers I only mean Scott lol,..) or even just a mention, a picture something funny. Even somethinf sad, like Sam talking about Natasha.

- Flashbacks for Sam!!! What happened? How did they get there? How did Sam get pardoned? Was he on the run with Steve? With Bucky too?

Flashback of Sam with Steve maybe? Or how it was when he got back from the blip? The first time he saw Sarah again ? I don't want them to goo too far in time, just understand what happened between Endgame and the show.

- Also I really need them to admit that Sam found Bucky when he was looking for him.

- Also I feel like we didn't get to see to many scenes of Sam with the suit so I would love to see more of it for the last mission.

I found this video rather interesting. It talks about the frustrating divide in the Doctor Who fandom right now.

As someone who likes the 13th Doctor and loves Jodie Whittaker, but is still critical of the writing, I am immediately placed in the "bigoted sexist misogynist" box automatically despite really liking 13. (I am female myself btw) I feel that the writing quality has been better in the past and the 13th Doctor and Jodie have been severely undercut by how well this new era could have been played. This is my opinion. This does not mean that my opinion is correct or even that my opinion should dictate what the show should be like.

It feels like lately you're only allowed to love the 13th Doctor or hate her. There is no room in the fandom right now to fall in the grey area in between. I feel that the intellectual discussions on writing, directing, acting, and producing have been disposed of in favor of left wing or right wing politics.

As someone who was first introduced to Doctor Who watching Series 9 with Peter Capaldi as the 12th Doctor, I found it difficult to immediately like Season 11 as it was so different. I was very intrigued and excited by the prospect of a female doctor, and open to the possibilities though. I felt that it was time for a female doctor, not because it's the "leftist liberal politically correct thing to do" but because I felt that the hardships and exhaustion that the 12th Doctor endured, almost refusing to regenerate in a nearly suicidal "please just let me die" plea, that deciding to regenerate once more would present an opportunity for significant change and for someone very different to step into the role. I really like the 13th Doctor, I think she's funny and cute, and a fresh new take.

However, I felt that Season 11 took a very conservative writing approach without any major risks, leading to what I felt was a bland season. With a female doctor, I feel that the writers wanted to take the least amount of risks as possible to prevent from aggrivating an already divided fandom even more. Every adventure, while enjoyable, was self contained and provided nothing to the overarching story. Now though, I feel that Season 12 took the criticisms of Season 11 and has very much overcompensated to try to make this season exciting. In my personal opinion I thought the writing choices of this season were wreckless and only provided to shock value. Trying to cram so much lore that not everyone asked for into every second of this season made it feel like the decisions were not thought out in context of the show as a whole. I think each writer should have their freedom to take the show in the direction they wish, but I feel that they should respect the choices of their predecessors and not go out of their way to retrofit the continuity because they didn't like the way it was before. Yes. I am talking about The Timeless Children.

Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed the return of the Master and it's the majority of the reason I like Season 12. I am very used to Season 8, 9, and 10 having a lot of Missy so Season 11 having the Master being completely absent was a bit of a let down for me personally.

I do not dislike The Timeless Children because it paints the Doctor as a victim of abuse or abandonment. I do not dislike The Timeless Children because it provides more background lore about the Doctor and Gallifrey. I dislike the Timeless Children because I believe that what makes the Doctor special is their actions and choices, not who they were born as. Having the Doctor be even more special and elite with more power than the already pompous Time Lords was a step in the wrong direction I feel. Having the 12th Doctor spend so much time in Season 10 trying to help Missy become good because it is the right thing to do and the whole mantra of being kind without witness or reward made the Doctor feel like they were special because they chose to be good. Having the Doctor now be almost a deity of unknown power makes them special by birthright, not because of their actions.

This is all still my opinion that I am both entitled to having, and simultaneously cannot force on to anyone else or have it dictate the show.

Doctor Who, if nothing else, is about change. I encourage people who dislike the 13th Doctor for whatever reason, to stick around and hold out. In a few years, there will be a new Doctor, new companions, and possibly a new writer. In the end, Doctor Who and all other shows, movies, and media, are works of art created by an artist in their artistic vision. I respect that while I have not enjoyed Chibnall's time as much as Moffat's, I cannot force anyone to make the show the way I want. Was Moffat problematic and sexist as a showrunner? Yes. Is it ethical to support someone who writes women so terribly? I'm not sure. Overall as a whole, Doctor Who has brought so much joy to so many people, that I feel it does much more good than harm. Yeah I think Moffat's female characters are shallow, particularly Amy and Clara. I will write a whole post some other day on why I think they are highly flawed characters despite liking them in general.

I wish people could get over the whole female doctor thing and get back to discussing the show in an educated manner.

I don't know what this essay of a post goes to prove but I felt that I wanted to say somethinf about the toxic divide over politics in the fandom that has completely overshadowed any intellectual conversation on the writing or directing choices. Thanks for listening to me ramble.

I feel like it's about Liam (and Noel saying "son" made think about one of your post so here we are) B) Do you think "Come back to me" is about Noel ? (Don't think it's about Nicole and it will be weird if it'd be about Debbie, so we only have...Noel) Anyway, happy new year in advance, and live forever !

HIIII! First things first: if you have a different vision on any analysis or theory, I would love to hear them! I truly believe that the only way we have to find out the truth is to gather all our thoughts and information we’ve got!

Now, let’s go to your questions:

A) I agree with you. As you said on your review (I loved it to bits), everything in that album is about money and Liam. And we have to keep in mind that even when a song is not about Liam, Liam is always in the back of Noel’s head, and that’s really important. Even Liam stated before Chasing Yesterday being released that he would surely be there somewhere – in the lyrics, in the background, somewhere.

Noel is the ultimate bullshiter when it comes to excuses for songs – from “This song is about nothing in particular” to “This song is about an imaginary friend”. In some lines, I see the song being about both Liam and the kids, and I’ll explain why:

“Tidy your books upPut them under your bed[…]Be careful what you wish forBe careful what you dreamThey let you sing your songs, sonBut they’ll never hear you scream”

The first two lines are surely about his kids, they are the “commandos” that parents usually tell kids to do – in fact, the whole song is based on those. The third and fourth line I see being about both (kids and Liam), specially Liam… I can’t explain WHY I think of Liam when I read them, but I see it as if Noel was saying like “well, now you lost me”, you know what I mean? And the last two lines are 100% about Liam. Noel always give it away when he mentions song-singing – he does the same on Angel Child. Who is the person who sings songs? Liam does. And the scream part, in my opinion, can be focused on the fact that Liam never had many friends outside Oasis and neither his friends nor the fans can understand Liam’s struggles and pain, cause they only see the “Liam Gallagher” side of him, so although they LET Liam sing the songs, they don’t hear him scream. You know what I mean?

Then the song continues and Noel keeps calling the person “son”, which, as you said, is just one more proof that Liam was in the back of his mind. Noel always knew he was a father to Liam. But, what makes me sure that Liam is on this song is the last lines:

“You’ve fallen like an angelStranded on the earthThey let you see their richesThey never tell you what you’re worthThey’ve put you in the back seatWhile they’re heading for the sunAnd if you’re waiting for the raptureThe day will never come…”

I gave myself the luxury of making the important topics bold. So, come with me: “Fallen angel” is an already known concept for all of us. It appears on The Turning and AKA… Broken Arrow. I always considered it being a reference to Liam, since Noel always treated Liam as something divine, I don’t know if that’s somethinf you’re aware of, but he does that in Slide Away, Idler’s Dream and even Angel Child. And “fallen angel” fits perfectly with Liam, since, well, Lucifer was the fallen angel, the most beautiful angel of heaven, which ended up being the Devil! This dualistic view of Liam being the angel and the Devil is 100% Liam on Noel’s life.

The second and third line makes me thing that Noel is talking about the way that HE treated Liam. There’s a quote from Getting High that says that:

“Didn’t Liam have an inkling of the work he put in? Did he not also hear the voices in Noel’s head telling him that he was nothing more than a piece of dogshit. Did he not see that Liam was one of the very few people on the planet Noel could totally trust? And that if he wanted money all he had to do was ask.”

The thing is: Noel thought money was the greatest thing (to this day), and that money could buy Liam love, all Liam had to do was ask him for it – so he let Liam see his riches – but Liam never agreed with that, he wanted Noel’s approval, which was something he never could get – so Noel never told Liam what he is worth. These lines are pretty interesting because it SHOWS that Noel acknowledges this mistake of him, of not giving Liam approval.

The word “sun” is in bold because – it’s something I need to post about on my blog – the word “sun”, along with “rain”, “sea”, “shore” and “storm” always have the same meaning in all the lyrics analysis: Noel uses them on purpose to talk about certain things without being explicit. In fact, I have a three pages essay about how Noel uses those words to subtly talk about how gay he is for Liam. Anyway: the sun always means the good things of their relationship, the glory of having Liam with him and for him. Prime example: “Now that you’re mine, we’ll find a way of chasing the sun”. See?

The “waiting for the rapture” bit is pretty ironic, since it’s not only a reference to the Oasis song, cause, let’s remind of WFTR lyrics: “Well, heaven must have sent ya/To save me from the rapture”. Do you see what he did here? He compared Liam to something divine AGAIN, just like he has just done on BCWYWF. And now that he is not with Liam nowadays, and is not able to reach him out, the day of the rapture will never come. Everything is connected!!!

B) Well, Come Back To Me is a song that was written by one of the co-writers with Liam’s help. The thing is, as you said: it doesn’t fit with anyone else but Noel. I’m sure Liam participated of the lyrical process – in my well paid opinion, the second and third verses (the ones that come after the first chorus) all totally written by Liam. So, yes. It’s Noel material. And even if Liam had not written the song, he surely thinks of Noel when he sings it, and that’s where the real meaning of the song is. But we know he thinks that: remember that he tweeted the bit of “My heart is together my head is exploding why don’t you come back to menskcjckdjksmkd”, something like that, in the middle of a Twitter rant about – surprise surprise – Noel. Against facts, there are no arguments!

I’m gonna try some stream of conscience shit to lazily exercise my brain but also because I have a lot of bottled feelings right now and this is probably a good way to get around it.

There’s a meadow, and there’s yellowness everywhere. There’s grass that’s yellow, yellow petals attached to golden stems, the air smells of hay. Sun light for lack of a better cliche is dancing all around you. You’re in the centre, you’re turning, turning, turning and the world is standing still, holding your feet down and watching contentedly. You’re a beam, and enjoy the company of solitude.

Oh, yuck. How awful was that? It’s hard to write while being wholly faithful to writing writing writing as much as you can without flicking your eyes back to the previous sentence or the paragraph before to check on it, fix it, put a new word there to make it sound better or polished or more emotive. Even now I stopped and got distracted, rereading, summaraising, justifying, hating what I’ve written. That’s all that is. Distraction is a fatal flaw in my writing, my ability to write anything at all that is. I hold very few accolades outside of my timid academic career that attest to my writing being anything other than ordinary. I believe it to be quite ordinary and plain, lacking the great ideas and the sad experiences my classmates have penned down. I don’t know much about sadness and heartache, and what I do know of it I can’t afford to pen and surge towards greatness because I censor it all from falling upon the wrong eyes — eyes which I love very much despite the hurdles I have decided over the years have come up from these people and experiences. There, I did it again. I went back and changed the full stop between “eyes” and “eyes” to an em dash. It looked like this:

“[...] eyes. Eyes [...]”

As soon as I wrote it like that I didn’t like it, and proceeded to keep eyeing it as I continued to write. Isn’t that funny? I don’t even truly process I’m doing it but as I do the quality of my unleashes thoughts become a little muddier and a little too crisp by the end of the sentence. I continue to scroll up and down, think of the time and consider my battery to check on my progress. All moronic. (Who cares!) No one reads this blog, the time is my own fault and my phone is being charged. It’s all very stupid. It makes me wonder if true stream of conscience just as the surrealist writers of the 20th century claimed to engage in actually existed. There’s just too much, I’m too sensitive to my outer surroundings, and the inner environment I caged myself in, just as all do. We all have a cage we dress up to be the prettiest room in our head-house. It plays off as a home, but it’s really all a joke. It’s just bars and a window.

I envy those who feel as if they’re not halted by their own insecurities or fears when they write. Just now I looked back at the first thing I wrote after stating what I was about to do. “Purple prose” is what rung in my ears, along with the dark white walls of a class I had last semester (which ended poorly, I sabotaged myself yet again). This sudden fear that I’m becoming more basic and common. With phrases such as “basic bitch” and this huge desire for uniqueness, nerve and ambition it’s hard to feel like you stand out. I must have a large amount of pride, because I was very hesitant to adjective or focus on a particular environmental quality and capitalise off it. How can I be so unique and special, be the chosen one of my story, when I feel as though the well that waters my creativity has been long dry? What have I been using in the meantime? It makes me wonder the foundations of my own creativity and my own ambitions. It’s very difficult. And it’s heartbreaking when I am so tired that I can’t bring myself to pen whatever lucid thoughts I have before falling asleep. That’s when my best ideas come out, though I also fear I have allowed myself to think this because of the unlikelihood of me saving these for a more sober and alert brain, and the fact I’ve probably tricked myself into a last ditch effort of confidence so I can continue to trick myslef into thinking something will work out.

In the back of my mind there’s still that dull ebb of melancholy which I’ve been subject to for a while now. Desirability is a bitch. And I am feeling undesirable. It’s nothing skin deep, rather the fear I’m either too much for him or there really is nothing in there, which at least the latter provides curious entertainment. I feel my ability to hold fast to a loving relationship is as void as my total confidence to become drunk on creative drive and act completely self satisfied for as long as it takes to pen somethinf — anything — down.
