Hi quick question I’m making a cq oc because I thought it would be fun but I remember vividly you saying that depending of the type of shade or hue of the mimes it effects how they act? Oh, yeah I'm sure I've talked about it before at some point; Their shade of color does, to a small degree, effect their nature. It doesn't necessarily determine their personality, just their stability and instinct.

When you look at the wavelengths of a color like red, you'll find that the sine is very stretched, or just not as excited as a color like cyan or blue. As a result, depending where they are on this spectrum, they tend to be more stoic or grounded (slower wave) or more dramatic (higher wave). Mid range hues like green can be harder to predict, though just like other shades they have their tendencies; knowledge hogs are common for instance.

Colors beyond purple do not "exist", technically, and thus are more unstable the further into pink and beyond you get. Magentas, pinks, they are often volatile in some way because of this instability.

None of this, however, determines their personality. TyV and Jarna, both very dramatic mimes who express their emotions vividly and loudly, have very different ways of being themselves despite being relatively close on the spectrum.

So in this case of character creation, you're really safe to do just about whatever you want honestly. It seems to me, when I design new mimes, they always settle into their natures with time & development anyway, so you shouldn't be too worried about who they are at the surface.

Femme and butch aren't your replacement quirky words to say 'effeminate' and 'masculine' stop throwing these words around to describe non queer people geez, there's a culture that belongs to these terms, Taylor Swift isn't 'femme' or 'butch' and she most certainly is not 'a dyke'. When you get so careless about using those words, and often in a fully serious way, about non-queer people, they also get just as comfortable appropriating our words and jokingly throwing slurs back at us. Read the room once in a while
