when your boyfriend atsumu meets your best friend oikawa it does NOT go well.

you would think their personalities are similar so they'd get a long.

but oh how wrong that was. their egos are both huge so it's like two male peacocks fighting for dominance.

"well they're MY best friend. i met them before you even did! also your dye job is horrendous." oikawa would say to tsumu and he's not even phased because everyone always has something to say about his hair.

"I don't wanna to hear anythin' from someone who didn't make it to nationals at all in high school!!" atsumu would bite back because he plays dirty.

"tsumu! why would you say that??" you're behind atsumu not trying to get into the argument but that was such a low blow you just had to say something.

oikawa would just laugh with venom in his tone, "i bet they didn't tell you I was their first kiss, huh?" oikawa's arms are crossed and he's smiling like a villain.

atsumu whips his head around to look at you, "baby is that true??" shit. there's that pout of his.

"well.. yeah but like we were just trying things out back then... uh it was before i even met you tsumu." you respond nervously.

"i'm so sorry ya had to kiss such 'n ugly person, baby." your eyes about pop out of your skull.

"atsumu stop! babe this is just-"

"they didn't seem to think i was too ugly because they leaned in for another kiss afterward and it turned into a hot make out sesh." the memories come flooding back into your brain of the time you had made out with your best friend.

atsumu is seeing red now, "shut yer trap! they're with me and they love my kisses wayyyy more than yers which is why we're dating and yer just the best friend."

rest assured iwaizumi had finally come back from the bathroom and split the two apart.

"quit it you knuckle heads!! you clearly have a type, why'd you have to go for the snotty obnoxious guys??" he asks you with a roll of his eyes. he's also in the middle of them to keep a fight from breaking out not that you think they'd get physical. both are capable of leaving someone mentally damaged.

"i have no clue iwa, but thank you. let's go atsumu, you're not getting out of this one. i'll call you later, toru!" you drag atsumu by his arm and he's muttering nonsense about hating oikawa.

SIMILITUDES BETWEEN VICTOR VALE, SYDNEY CLARKE, AND SERENA CLARKE

For the longest time, I considered Victor and Serena, and by extension Sydney, to be fairly similar to one another, in both physical appearance and character, but the moment I thought about seeking these parallels out, I noticed they're even greater.

I attempted to compile as many as I could find from both novels, and while I'm sure I've missed several, this is what I've managed to come up with.

Firstly, the resemblance the text itself outlines.

Then, the similarities presented in their outward appearances, their voices, mannerisms and their expression of certain feelings.​

The sound of their voices.

The way they move.

Their facial expressions.

The way they display anger.

The way they portray calm.

The way they smile.

Their nearly identical upbringings.

Their tendency to lie to and mimic other people, and the aptitude they display while doing so.

The unusual attributes that have been used in their descriptions.

Some of the murders they've committed and their reactions to them. Victor obviously murders a multitude of other people in Vengeful.

Victor and Serena also seem to be predisposed to the practice of haunting people from beyond the grave.

mike and max butt heads, but they’ll also die for each other and that’s because they have cat personalities. mike is in a way like “this was my territory first” and max in a “was once feral and is still adjusting to living in a house” kind of way so there’s a lot of stepping on each other’s toes. but they they both know that the other has been through shit and sense that they’re both the kind to keep things bottled up so others don’t have to deal with their problems and they bond over that by going to each other.

so when one of them is having a bad day they are incredibly defensive of each other and glare at anyone who so much as looks at the other funny. if it’s a really bad day they’ll spend the day with each other at the wheeler’s house and do not leave each other’s side. they cling to each other so much and can not be separated.  

will and lucas will come back to them cuddling under a massive comforter, gripping each other with white knuckles and heads buried into the side of each other’s necks. they’re still not used to seeing this part of the relationship between the two and just kinda look back and forth between each other like “uh...what are we supposed to do about this? it’s been 14 hours” they try to pull them apart only to get growled at, like actually growled at. will and lucas jump back and look at each other like “did they just growl at us?” so instead of pissing off their boyfriend/girlfriend they go get some snacks and drinks and leave them on a side table and turn the light off as they walk out of the room to leave them be until one of them (max/mike) is sure the other feels better and  is okay again

i think the fundamental difference between scott and rachel is that, where scott holds his emotion and rationalizes it until he can make sense of it alone so he can, maybe, depending on the person, share? rachel lashes out first, screams her heart, and pours down in tears, then she picks herself up and apologizes for the damage caused.

I think BG3 is one of the few games that has actually done complex morality well. Not necessarily in the choices you can make. I think most of those are pretty cut and dry. More in, like . . . What degree of responsibility do some of the companions bear for past actions, if any? What degree of responsibility does a durge bear? What about the Absolutists under the Elder Brain's sway? When you get down into the details of the branching stories / lore, there's a lot that leaves you with something to think about.
