i am so normal about shadowpeach i absolutely do Not go insane thinking about how macaque dedicated his entire life and identity to following wukong and ended up falling in love but the latter never noticed until macaque was no longer there to take up space in his shadow

wukong finally saw what he lost and what he truly missed, both in the person thats now gone but also all the opportunities macaque had kept open for him that he never took. and now that macaque is back, wukong wants to try and repair that bridge between them but macaque is finally moving on and finding an identity for himself that doesnt revolve around wukong. the shadow is now becoming a person worthy of stepping into the light and now wukong doesnt know how to cope with what could have been.

Thinking abt trolls 3 and why it picked up so much traction compared 2 the other 2 movies. Like technological advancements aside I think the main thing is just the character lineup.

Movie one was mostly branch and poppy. All the kidnapped trolls operated as One entity really so it’s not like u could particularly??? Care about them too much. Bridget and Gristle were really really fun but the villain wasn’t anything particularly special or noteworthy judging by just how little people. Talk about her. OH and also creek was there (literally forgor im rereading this for typos and adding this now) but like. Oh no the guy who showed up for like 5 minutes is a Bad guy and im supposed to care about the quest to save him mostly just because theyre telling the audience they should care because Poppy cares . But theres just not a lot of setup (and Creeks just not that. Interesting?)

Second movie had considerably More bangers and was definitely going in the right direction character wise. But it had the Opposite problem with wayyy too many guys that were really interesting and not a lot of time to do anything with them. You get King Trollex’s intro, Biggie, Cooper and Prince D and their parents, Delta Dawn, and Allll the bounty hunter trolls, PLUS Barb and the rock trolls. Barb was definitely a prime example of a major upgrade from the movies, having a villain that the audience actually vibed with and u could Tell by fan reactions I think. (Parb sweep) But there was just. Sooo so much, on top of the lore dump and a plot that you really had to get cool with really quick to get invested in. theres a bunch of new trolls and these strings that are definitely super important promise (lie)

The third one feels like they finally like. Know what theyre doing. With their own universe. No big lore dumps, theres not even any Explanation for what Mount Rageous is, they just introduce you to it and the Rageons with confidence thru Velvet and Veneer and expect you to get it. Plus, theres still a lot of characters, but theyre much more tangibly connected now. All the brozone brothers are well established and have preestablished relationships with each Other so even if we dont get much time with them it doesn’t feel like theyre that out of place. It still requires some suspension of disbelief vis a vis “Branch had Four super secret brothers hes Never mentioned,” but they make it work and frankly, the set-up is a lot more easier to get invested in than “secret magical strings that Invented Magic I Guess.”

And with Brozone and Viva theres a connection To the main characters rather than just being tag-alongs for tag-alongs sake. They’ve all got their own niches to make them individually compelling but theres a connecting thread here so they still feel like they’re a part of the story. And they’re all there to do something!! And then Velvet and Veneer of course continue the vibe that Barb had of being villains with enough screen time and personality that you like them As characters and arent just viewing them as The Plot Obstacle. Which is cool i think. Overall i just think the third movie felt a Lot more confident to do what the fuck ever and thats Really good.

So you get isekaied to Teyvat right? They hear your og language, they revere every single worf from your mouth, yadda yadda yadda. But like. How does SLANG AND THE OTHER ASPECTS OF UR OG LANGUAGE translate. I am having VERY heavy flashbacks to Pokemons "jelly filled donuts".

So like-- for example: (this is the first one that came to my head dont judge me i am tumblr trash) (lets also assume that traveler has perfect understanding of ur language and slang and all the nuances of it)

Lets say you and the traveler were hanging out with some of the Vision holders, and the traveler had some shenanigans and pranks or something planned. After they pull their shit, you say "i hate you so much (affectionate)". Which kind of throws the Vessels in for a loop because like-- their god literally just said they HATED someone. And hate is a PRETTY STRONG WORD. So they should DEFINITELY strike them down for catching their gods ire but-- AFFECTIONATE????? how does one hate someone affectionately???????? Does this mean their god hates the traveler but decided to recind their hate last second? Is it some form of Divine and Holy emotion that cannot be described by the mere words of their language????

Meanwhile youre just there vibin and having a blast with the traveler while you casually give them a philosophical crisis AHAHAHA

Another example is shortened words-- because i know teyvat doesnt have shit like "ily" or "omg" or "lmao" or "fyi" or "brb". Because honestly, without the cultural knowledge and background of the internet, these sets of letters are just fucking GIBBERISH.

And i know that like-- i know enough internet slang abbreviations that i can literally just talk in jumbles of letters, so how in the WORLD would the vessels interpret that? Because its very clear that their god is just using the letters of their language, HELL they might even use Teyvatian letters so what in the world are they saying????

So theyd just hear a convo between the traveler and reader thats like:

I am trying to find a person who's tags I've read about their grunge skirt that they pin a hundred ways and I think after all it was you 😵 Can you share the pictures please? I am so curious how that looks!

yeah absolutely!! i mess with this thing all the time (i hope you can see it well enough, my room has 1 singular window and is very busy)

for one thing, its the most basic skirt imaginable. black stretchy fabric, no pockets, and 3 tiers of fabric. shes got plenty of walking room, and makes for a perfect base. would not be surprising to find it in the all-american white woman wardrobe. but i am not the all-american woman, therefore i get a little silly with it from time to time

my favorite way to pin it is just one side straight up, it gives dimension and some Pizzazz without being a nuisance (and without getting too cold in the winter). I use one bigass safety pin, but sometimes i get a bit anxious about it coming loose, so i put a bunch of little safety pins around it. you cant see them super well but theyre there i promise

the reflection is miserable but actual pins make it fun too!

when i go to more goth/alternative functions, i do a double pin to make it look like curtains. i like to wear long socks and tights so this lets you see the patterns with some drama. its super fun but i only do it for special occasions LOL

i recently started double pinning on opposite sides, making the overall skirt shorter and more gathered. it might look a bit like a big bag to some, but i like it for the warmer days

my last trick is just to put something around the waist to spice it up. i have this gorgeous green/blue silk scarf and its the perfect size to tie like a belt. very shiny and sleek, and i love the pattern too. another staple is a chain belt, i actually got this one from hot topic (sometimes they have bangers) and i wear it all the damn time, i love it. you can see both of these accessories in Several of my outfit posts teehee

i hope these are helpful! i dont really have a tripod or something to properly take nice pictures so i just sit my phone against my windowsill and hope its good enough... but i hope this gives you some ideas for your own clothes!

this part of the song is the most applicable to chapter 3 i think. the scene where sokka asks zuko to catsit while he's away at yue's wedding is so thick with romance it's a wonder they don't fucking choke on it. that whole exchange is so. like. they're lying to themselves. sokka gives zuko a key to his apartment. 24 hour access. a promise not to turn him away, that he is welcome and wanted always. and they both somehow convince themselves (and each other!) that this is a normal thing to offer your casual sex friend. olympic level mental gymnastics happening in that scene.

Okay im currently working on a drawing of the Collector but now all i can think about is them so uhhhh collector rant time!

Theyre quickly become a fav of mine, for a lot of reasons! Banger design, banger theme, fun personality, just a weird lil guy.. but its also complicated since he's undeniably not a great person. I mean, the draining spell only existed cuz of him! And they must have done SOMETHING to get King's dad to want to imprison them and hide King from them.

But also... they dont seem to be super purposefully malicious?? They didnt care about wiping out the boiling isles with the draining spell, that was Belos. And despite it King being hidden from them, they seem genuinely excited to meet and play with King, and seemingly has no desire to purposefully hurt him?

It seems his problem is his god-like powers/standing and lack of empathy or connections with others. It makes him unpredictable. He may not want to purposefully hurt King, but it may not bother him if he does. He gets so caught up in games, that he's willing to start tearing the world up like with the owl house game.

Its just so interesting to me, and i honestly love having favorite characters where i honestly have mixed feelings about. Cuz the Collector is undeniably a threat, but i also feel bad for them.. they did seem upset when betrayed by Belos and again, he doesnt seem to have like... really bad intentions?? And i also felt super bad when King made the pinky promise with him but he was like "youre not just using me like Belos, are you?" when that was exactly what was going on. They just keep on getting used by both the good guys and the bad guys and it makes me so interested in where his character is going

The main character is pretty relatable.
