*Nods* I agree with you, anon. I often see anti-endos calling endogenic systems "delusional" in the same way that ableist singlets call CDD systems "delusional." It's to invalidate our experiences because, to them, delusions are false beliefs.

I hate this idea about delusions, though. There's tons of mounting evidence that delusions aren't random, false beliefs -- they're a person's attempt to explain confusing or overwhelming experiences. Here's an interesting excerpt from a book called Psychosis, Dissociation, and Trauma: Evolving Perspectives on Severe Psychopathology:

Surprise, surprise! Delusions may be related to trauma & dissociation. I don’t think the people slinging delusional at others really care, though. To them it’s just their “this person is faking” buzzword in the same way that non-survivors co-opted the word triggered to start calling us weak / over-reactive. Nice, ableism. Love that. /s

To dig into this a little deeper, let's talk about what a delusion is. According to the DSM-5:

"Delusions are fixed beliefs that are not amenable to change in light of conflicting evidence. . . The distinction between a delusion and a strongly held idea is sometimes difficult to determine and depends in part on the degree of conviction with which the belief is held despite clear or reasonable contradictory evidence regarding its veracity. Assessing delusions in individuals from a variety of cultural backgrounds can be difficult. Some religious and supernatural beliefs (e.g., evil eye, causing illness through curses, influence of spirits) may be viewed as bizarre and possibly delusional in some cultural contexts but be generally accepted in others."

Notice how they say the belief is fixed, not false. The content of the belief doesn't matter that much. What matters is the behavior and distress that it brings. Someone with a delusion is fixated on the belief, it brings them distress/impairment, it won't change even they've seen lots of evidence that disproves it, and it's not a broadly accepted belief by their culture.

Plurality is its own culture, believe it or not, and this is academically recognized. Plurality existing without trauma is a widely accepted possibility here. Just because someone people don't think it's possible doesn't make it a delusion. It's just conflicting beliefs, not delusions. (That's not to say that it's impossible for someone to have delusions about being a system, or that systems can't have delusions related to their own plurality at all. But that's for those people and their therapists to work out, not us.)

I'm with you, anon. Calling people delusional for having a different belief not only waters down the actual distress and difficulties that having delusions brings, but it also turns the lived experiences of neurodivergent people into an insult. It's ableist. It's fucking ableist.

So far I havent really seen anyone say evidence is fake, only people demanding evidence if there is one. Well, anons saying stuff might Count but I can’t speak for them.

I’ve seen antis taking things out of context like claiming that saying “its easier to not offend than it is to stop drinking” is the same as saying rape is an addiction and claim someone not giving a death threat to an anon who talks bout the possibility of watching cp is coddling cp offenders. If you are an anti then you do have huge bias when looking at map stuff.

Another you could be referring to is the 17 yr old who sent nudes to teenage friends. See above. Grelle is a past offender and I have warned people in the Community about this. Thing is, those ex-offenders that do exist (and theres like 3 of them) did so before joining the map community and would have done so with or without a map community.

look first of all let’s get this idea that there’s a real group of people called The SJWs out of our head, okay? That’s fake. That’s a made-up category of people. It’s a fictitious strawman made up by people who hate minorities who find it easier to paint their critics as unreasonable zealots than to actually formulate a coherent argument in favor of their idiotic ideology. You might as well talk about how a lot of vampires or werewolves take things to an extreme. If you think “SJW” is a real type of person, then you’ve fallen for some pretty blatant trollbait because that’s not a real thing, it’s a made-up boogeyman like “feminazis.” 

So I don’t need to claim that SJWs don’t send death threats because SJWs do about the same amount of things as leprechauns and unicorns. If someone claims that an SJW sent them a death threat, I find it about as believable as someone claiming a Chupacabra crashed their car– the fact that their car has crashed, or that cars sometimes crash in general, is not the aspect whose credibility I’m calling into question. What I doubt is who or what did it. 

When someone gets anon messages that’s like “RAARGH YOU’RE RACIST AND I’M GONNA KILL YOU” after doing something that’s pretty objectively racist, and then they spend the rest of the night lamenting the fact that they received death threats from the SJWs? 99% of the time they sent those messages to themselves to make themselves look like the victim of disproportionate cyberbullying instead of the perpetrator of a racist act, and the other 1% of the time it’s some troll pretending to be an “SJW” because they think it’s funny and they hope that other people will see it and think “ohhhh those SJWs are bad, look at them sending death threats to this poor defenseless blackface cosplayer who did nothing to deserve this.” 

It’s really transparent and kind of pathetic, like, we all know you’re doing this, it’s blatantly obvious, just like how when someone does something racist and then posts a long crytyping post about how they’re trash and they should just die and that everyone’s being mean to them, basically nobody falls for it and we can all tell that this person is putting on a little show in the hopes of making their critics sound ableist for calling out their racism. It’s almost sad to watch them try to pull these moves because truly only the most ridiculously gullible people on earth could possibly fall for them. Now, I’m not saying no one with progressive politics has ever threatened to kill someone online due to an ideological disagreement. Refer back to the chupacabra crashing the car I referred to earlier. I believe the person got a death threat, and I believe it’s possible they genuinely believe it was a chupacabra, but I’m also going to make fun of that person a little bit for believing in chupacabras or thinking that one would somehow benefit from crashing their car.

as with all things, some rando telling you that your identity is fake doesn’t actually make said identity go away, even when said rando is the creator of your source. this did not please said creator.

another thing worth noting at this point is that, at around the same time, an artist named stuart semple got into a feud with an artist named anish kapoor, because the latter had signed a contract granting him exclusive rights for a substance known as “vantablack”, the Blackest Black, a pigment so dark that it makes solid objects look like holes in reality, for use in art, and the former was like “hey thats a dick move”. all of tumblr watched in delight as semple released pigment after pigment declared as the Most of what it is, the purchase of which meant you agreed that you are not anish kapoor, you are not an associate of anish kapoor, and you do not intend for the product to end up in the hands of anish kapoor.

Of course the twitter harries had to do the same later. Go back and look and see that more bad reviews exist on Harry’s page then Zayns and go look for the first comment. But nobody uses that to hate on zayn fans do they ? What about those louises that tweeted / sent email to writers that had written good reviews about Harry’s album saying he was a P*dofile etc for carolina / Kiwi. That’s seriously stuff but they had no shame showing that they did that to people. Did you know how much hate Harry got 2 days after his step dad died because Louis had his interview out talking about how much he didn’t want the break. Did you know what horrible stuff people tweeted to him / about him when he was grieving. Let me give you the screenshot of the person that wished for him to be harmed 2 days after his stepdad died.

Another thing that is funny to me is how only people that love louis, liam, niall and zayn can think that they are the best solo act but when some harries think Harry is the best solo act bc of how amazing he did with a 6 minute rock ballad without promo every day and without discounting it then it’s awful and blogs on here have to make post shitting on that. 

I mean Meghan Trainors All about the bass have more streams and did better on billboard then Rihannas bitch better have my money yet no one would ever bring that up to prove how much Rih failed and how Meghan is better.  I’m just siting here wondering when streams and what they radio played became the measure for how a good song is or how good someone is doing ( cause we all know it’s business). I must have imagined Niall Horan getting on a festival tour with only one song when billion other artist would have loved that and had actually albums out to promote. Then we have Liam that has worked with Ed Sheeran, Pharrell, Charlie Puth, Beyonces dancer etc but of course that’s not something  larries ever would imagine hating Liam for. Yes. I think i started wearing them when i was 7. I’ve been wearing glasses for more than half of my life now. They are part of me and people dont recognise me without them. Well, if it’s of some relief, I’ve wearing them for almost three years, only, and even my family see something weird in my face when I don’t have them on, so 🤷🏻‍♀️. Well, when my mom look it up, it was around 3000€. But I think my friend told me last year that it was around 1800€, I think. So, yes, it’s very expensive, but all the people I know who have had it are very happy with it.

Yes. I know. I get that it’s easier to give them the ipad and all of that, but i dont think that’s really good for them mainly bcs they dont get the attention they need. But well, parenting is something very personal, and technology also has its perks. Maybe nowadays kids learn in a different way, but it’s still learning. Oh, yeah, well used, technology is the best. But sometimes parents just give their children their phones so they don’t bother them, and that’s not good for kids. Like when they’re waiting at the doctor. I actually hear a psychologist saying that that teaches kids that to be relaxed they need a phone. And it’s a way to conditioning them. Like when a dog does something well and you give it a treat. And then the dog does that thing, so you have to give it another treat. But, yes, like you said, parenting is something very personal, and I think it parents reflects what they had/hadn’t from their parents on their kids.
