Shining Nikki: I buy the new UR designer's reflection in the arena because I don't have any UR reflections for that color and It's about Modric's ability to steal sad memories from people if they want it, which is kind of messed up, but they do ask for it so idk, but it's still weird, because the first time he did it he was 16 and his mom became dangerously depressed after his dad died so like after months of having to take care of her he figured out how to take some of her memories and she went back to normal. So like I'm not saying it's the best solution, but what else is 16 year old supposed to do with that? Also the reason why Joy forgot about the whole thing where her father experimented on her at the end of whatever chapter it was in volume one where she forgot is because he took her memories so that's one mystery solved I guess

I feel like I should say since there's been a recent uptick in a lot of communities I'm in/see stuff from a lot of white people pretending to be Asian, but you are not welcome here if you are in anyway stealing from Asian cultures for clout or the aesthetics of it

This includes if you're white and you give your self inserts Asian names, I truly do not care if your f/o is from an anime, you should not be using an Asian name under any circumstances. I hate that whenever I see someone using an Asian name online, I feel like I have to start searching their account to see if they're actually Asian or just a white person who likes the aesthetic of it bcs far too many white people will use Asian names here just bcs it sounds cool, with no regard for the actual cultural meaning behind it. Meanwhile actual Asian people will be mocked for their names, or treated like their names are too hard to learn to pronounce, or discriminated against based on their names

Asian cultures are not a fun little costume for people to dress up with. They aren't just a nice aesthetic, they aren't just a thing you can borrow from bcs you think it sounds cool

one thing that i think idw sonic does really well that i never really see people point out is having more variety in outfit styles/color palettes for the girl characters. to be clear i dont think the designs of the game characters are bad by any means i really like them the way they are . but also it feels like sega is terrified of designing a girl character who doesnt have pink or purple as a major color in her palette and doesnt wear skirts or dresses or heels or anything like that while the guys' designs are much more varied than that

i feel like benny, ethan, and rory are definitely the type to go to conventions in full cosplays. they'd probably dress as iconic trios from sci-fi and fantasy shows they like. and then when they all start dating each other they're still dressing as iconic trios but this time the trios are all polyam coded

reading baldur's gate fic is so funny to me sometimes because almost every single tav i've read is like. a nerd. awkward. stuck in a library/commune/forest and doesn't know How To Do People. combat unready. a wee paper slip of a person. self-doubting and uncertain.

whereas i am out here with my bard who dumped all her stats in charisma and perception and therefore is no longer able to fail a persuasion check. and my personal backstory for her is that she's an insanely well known frontman for a rock band in baldur's gate so literally everyone they meet knows who she is. nonstop flirt. clocks manipulation left and right because seeing through performances is like half of her skillset. oh yeah. and she can fucking oneshot you by being mean in your direction.
