anyway , I think I've made this comic lighter towards the end of this comic (both on purpose with the backgrounds and story lol) but this ending I hope is a combination of bittersweet and hopeful. Y/n gets to have a new family and connection to humanity that I think would be beneficial. 

How they’d take finding out Y/n is a VAMPIRE is it’s own can of worms that you can decide for yourself how would go down. Best outcome is that Y/n continues to watch over the generations influenced by Vanessa and her family during their immortality. 

Gregory and Cassie still haven’t been introduced in the Naff’s Cryptid Sightings universe by the time I post this, so if/when they are their characterization most likely will be different. And ggy likely won’t be placed in the au. Which is completely understandable! Tho an alternative path following canon fnaf more with 3 star fam, ggy n such is a concept I LOVE in the Cryptid Sightings world! I’ll go into it more ltr

Greg and Cass already have cryptid parents but now they get Uncle Eclipse and Uncle/Aunt/Pibling/Auncle/Etc Y/n. And Y/n gets to have one more purpose in protecting these ppl they will grow to care a lot about that knew Vanessa when Y/n couldn’t connect with her. Lots of sharing stories abt Vanessa occurs.

I’ll joke abt this in the extras & memes part but I think It would be so funny if Y/n can one moment be depressed and then Eclipse mentions Cass & Greg and they’re like “RIGHT I NEED TO PLAN HOW IM GONNA SPOIL THEM FOR THEIR BIRTHDAY” or “I LOST TO GREGORY LAST TIME IT WON’T HAPPEN AGAIN” or “I NEED TO CHECK UP ON THEM AND MAKE SURE THEY’RE ACTUALLY RESTING AFTER THEY FOUGHT THAT CRYPTID”

Eclipse is simultaneously grateful they have a new source of motivation, they haven’t seen you like this in a while, and he doesn’t dislike Gregory or Cassie. BUT since Cassie and Gregory are still Cryptid Hunters, it isn’t IDEAL lmao

On to elaborating on the comic: I love 3 star fam (by extension cassie) and Vanessa had growth offscreen so now her dying wish to y/n is like:

Sure Greg and Cass have Freddy and Roxy but between:

Demonic cryptids that have no experience being a human NOR a cryptid hunter human at that

Friend that might just be there still since if these cryptids could have humanity there's a chance my friend sending me memes that are so in character with their personality is ALSO still human despite being vampire and maybe ness & them could reconcile and Greg and Cass could finally meet the only person ness would have considered family and-

Nessie never would have considered y/n still having their humanity if it weren't for Freddy and by extension Roxy 

And btw Ness would not have given her phone to y/n if she wasn't sure that y/n wouldn't hurt Greg and Cass.

She. Didn't expect y/n to go the extra mile and meet them in person. The phone would give y/n their contact information and all the photos of memories they missed out on

Y/n cries when they unlock ness's phone and Nessie still hadn't changed her password

The video she made that y/n sees at the end is when she was first entertaining the idea of y/n possibly still having their humanity, but still wasn’t sure. It was a video that she only ever planned on y/n seeing if she either died and/or she was sure y/n was still human in some regard. She wanted to leave y/n with something in that scenario.

Vanessa here meeting Vanessa in Cryptid Sightings and Lost episode canon would certainly be something. Vanessas from canon Cryptid Sightings would just. Not know how Vanessa got over it and neither does Ness here know

Also, there are some details for this canon divergence au that are completely settled to me and other details I don't have a solid idea for. Like, I'm not SET on how Nessie and Greg would meet, ness and Cass, if it would be at the same time, who would be doing the glitchtrapping.  Prob becuz some of those are still unclear in canon canon FNAF and others I'm just indecisive

Also the possession being done by the same cryptid wouldn’t be possible with Cryptid sighting’s universe rules so. I’m not gonna bother figuring out those details for this comic. 

But I do love the idea of Nessie growing closer to Greg and Cass and at least Ness and Greg sharing a bond over dealing with Glitchtrap

Speaking of glitchtrapped GGY in cryptid au-

The wizards FAVORITE now being in same universe as demonic cryptids that would absolutely want to slaughter Glitchtrap for possessing a KID? Making him kill multiple people, including a kid his age? Tasty. Scrumptious. I want to make a separate post just thinking Abt how canon crew for cryptid sightings might react to GGY, especially Cryptid Sun & Moon/Eclipse. I'll save most of that rambling for that potential post since there's so much angst potential. 

While im here, I’ll ask. Naff, how would Eclipse react to a child, possessed by a demonic cryptid, having killed other children? Or. Is that a spoiler since these characters could be introduced in a reunion work and whether Cassie gets possessed to mirror canon fnaf is still up in the air? 👀

@/puhpandas can be blamed for my brain rot of the GGY story and dr rabbit stuffs and the potential it could bring.

Tho I don't expect to see GGY in any continuations of cryptid sightings lol I don't know how that would work when cryptid sightings already has laid down rules for possession in that universe and Glitchtrap is already gone. I'll happily see what Gregory and Freddy are like when they (hopefully) appear in future continuations of cryptid sightings

But since this is canon divergence I can indulge in three star fam real quick

To follow canon canon FNAF (or at least the fanon built off of the scrapped security breach canon as well as what stayed in sb), Vanessa would be saved by Gregory and Freddy, I'm undecided if Cassie would join in sooner or later. Nessie would regardless have to stomach being around kids that remind her of her trauma since she can't just fully IGNORE them. Gregory would have no one since I love the angst of the theory he killed his loving family as GGY 

So. Nessie would probably know that and it would make the situation hard.

Vanessa would grow a bond with Gregory and Freddy at some point, Gregory has a head start  due to. Y'know. Glitchtrap. Hard to not have some sort of connection to the kid that went through what you did too.

Anyway, Vanessa here would be saved by Gregory and Freddy to match up with canon. Or at least, the fanon I subscribe to for security breach since canon was lack luster and scrapped all the good ideas for Vanessa last minute.

Nessie and Gregory would have the shared experience of dealing with Glitchtrap trauma and Cassie gets roped, just like canon, with the whole Mimic situation. Then Nessie has two kids that she can't fully ignore but also can't stomach COMPLETELY being there for. Fun.

But since I adore 3 star fam too much, Vanessa is able to grow attached to Gregory like a big sister eventually (i adore big sis nessie dkljssfkld look at @/boringa55binch 's stuff you'll get ITTT)

When I'd imagine Cassie would be introduced, I bet Nessie would have a harder time with her around since what we've seen of Cassie in canon is only of her getting fooled. I bet Nessie would have a harder time around her for that reason.

But it's not like she COULD leave them completely alone since she's the one with the most cryptid hunting experience. And if these kids are SO INSISTENT about getting into trouble, fine. She owes them after all

I've been undecided if Cassie would be apart of the gang when Nessie is saved so that's up in the air for what ppls like most

Time skip is about 20-30 years ltr I've determined so, Ness did die when she was relatively young. (The circumstances of how she died are a plot device yes i will admit shush it isn’t terribly important sorry jklfdsjksfd)

I'm not the greatest at drawing aged characters so there you have it, Cassie and Gregory are in their late twenties early thirties.

Nessie knows it is a gamble to ask Y/n this favor. But, she's a worried big sis, being around Roxy and Freddy I bet would have softened her heart to the general idea of cryptids not being bad, and y/n doesn't seem to be bad atm. It could be a ghost that'll haunt watch over them, or Nessie's best friend can continue to be long distance buds with Nessie's new family.

And if Y/n was truly gone and all that remained was the vampire tendencies, by this point she has trust Gregory, Cassie, Freddy, and Roxy can keep each other safe. If it was truly a mistake to give y/n her trust.

So, that's why y/n hypes themself up and visits the graveyard when Gregory is there. And it did take a lot out of them but y'know I like the idea of y/n getting close with the gang.

It does make the next cryptid reunion a little weird.

Y/n & Eclipse: YOU DIDN'T MENTION VANESSA WAS A PART OF THE CREW NOW??

Freddy & Roxy: YOU NEVER TOLD US ABOUT VANESSA

Like, imagine both describing Vanessa in previous reunions, and NOW they're finding out it was the same person.

Vampire reveal set aside for later, this is y/n's newest reason to LIVE (mentioned earlier im gonna indulge on details down here)

They can't die yet! They still have memes to send to these kids! Jokes to tell! Series to make them binge with Y/n over a call! This is the gosh darn happiest Eclipse has seen them in decades!!

Flipping between seeing Gregory and Cassie as their nephew and niece and competing with Freddy and Roxy over the title of parent. Regardless of age. (they joke but Y/n never actually competes for the title, they are much too anxious of doing something wrong. Plus, Roxy and Freddy would be pretty tough to beat)

I also think it would be hilarious if Y/n sent out Eclipse with a chancla when Gregory does a Human Hero Complex goof up that painfully reminds y/n of their Human Hero Complex goof ups. He isn't allowed to make the same mistakes without consequence. And y/n WILL stay back in the bushes with goggles to SEE IT HAPPEN. Eclipse ain't worried abt y/n's mental state when they're too invested with their Nephew and Niece.

Gregory: We are adults.

Y/n: Yeah but you're also stupid humans who don't know when to quit.

Eclipse does get a chuckle they're now complaining so much abt human's having these stupid hero/martyr complexes when they were a human not so long ago themself lol

Cryptid Sightings doesn't have Cassie or Gregory in their cast of characters yet so (i think I mentioned this earlier but still), this could age. As of writing this, no reunion fic has been published. Might make a note of that if I release this after the fact. But still. Indulge with me in the hyjinks. I haven’t even begun on Freddy being a dad to y/n and possible Roxy dynamic with y/n lolll.

This au of an au of an au still has lots of angst to be explored like. Oh yeah, Gregory was controlled by Glitchtrap too and has a fuck ton of ptsd SINCE HE WAS TWELVE

The bombshell that will be Y/n revealed to be a Vampire is still up in the air like I said earlier. But, y'know, it might go better this time.

Y/n hopes for that. Hopes. Funny, you haven't smiled this much in a while.

Vanessa's death hurts. Both of them were too young for their fates. It hurt especially when they were saying goodbye for the very last time. Nessie's death was coming and Y/n knew that, but at the same time. Y/n can focus on caring about people Nessie cared about. People Nessie trusted them to care for.

I like the idea of Y/n continuing to watch over and keep in contact with the people Nessie has impacted in some way. Nessie to Gregory and Cassie to whoever they inspire and have become their successors. And they got so much more they are looking forward to now. Knowing humans and sticking around them even digitally has its risks but I think it could be pretty grounding. They have even more dates to look forward to aside from halloween. Which, will be fun to celebrate with Gregory and Cassie fam.

They can't wait to do some more living.

meanwhile, her husband is in NYC filming with his attractive female costar who is much more well known than her (even if it’s the nepo baby comments) and has two films of her own coming out this month and her Madame web movie is still doing pretty well on Netflix.

Btw, I don’t think 🐟 is jealous of Dakota because of Chris. TBH, I don’t think she’s into her “husband” at all. From her actions, she doesn’t care about him or his well being. She cares about what his name can do for her. That’s it. And right now his name is being lumped with Dakota and not hers and I think it’s pissing her off. Promise this’ll fr be my last post about her, but I remembered something that I found funny and infuriating because it pertains to me and reminds me of a certain situation lmao. I’m not gonna talk about Scourge anymore after this post, I just wanted to get it out of my system.

For context, Scourge was running an “investigation” on another weirdo and suddenly brought up that she “didn’t see him as a friend anymore.” I asked why she would see him as one to begin with, and she said it was because he called her his friend on a discord call. I said that’s not how friendship works, she brings up her elementary school friends as the reason she “runs to people that could hurt her” and I say “you can’t let that affect you today, you just can’t.” I’d been very open about the fact I feel little to no empathy and I’m very straightforward and don’t like to sugarcoat things btw.

She shoots me a message like the next day saying that she saw my messages as victim blaming. I don’t think much of it and move on with my day after apologizing (to get her off my back).

Come to find out on the same day she sent that message, she had gone to somebody else’s DMs to vent about me, saying I made her cry, and that when I responded to her message I gave her a “panic attack” or some shit.

Even the person she vented to about me didn’t see how my messages were victim blaming her. Again, I don’t like sugarcoating things and I tell things straightforward.

Oh yeah, the other person who was apart of the whole conversation on June 21st wasn’t even mentioned in like, Scourge’s vents. It was only me being dogged on. She didn’t even talk to the other person about it, only me.

If I had a nickel for every time Scourge said a 15 year old gave her panic attacks and she used serious terms to describe something that didn’t even fit the description of said term, I’d have 2 nickels. Which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird considering it happened twice (aka during the angelwowings situation/mess where Scourge said Tulip “love bombed” her in her “testimony” against Tulip. The doc is still up if you wanna see it by the way, but it’s one of the dumbest things I’ve been apart of to say the least).

(Kind of a follow up to my silly little comic since I had WAY too many thoughts and I couldn't fit them in because I wanted it to stay light hearted)

My personal take on komahina is that they both absolutely end up falling in love at some point, but Nagito would never allow Hajime to date him.

(Warning, it’s kinda long)

Not only would he feel like Hajime is too good for him, that Hajime would be wasting his precious time on trash, but it would also make Nagito too happy, and Nagito has a bad tendency to link his happiness with his ultimate luck. It would make him think that the joy of dating Hajime would cause catastrophes, so the best, most hopeful thing he can do is avoid dating altogether. In his head, he’s doing the reasonable thing ! He's shielding everyone from his bad luck ! But he would still love him so he would absolutely tell Hajime how much he means to him and hang out and even flirt with him…. so long as he doesn’t reciprocate. Which would probably upset Hajime at first, thinking he’s being played with.

It would require serious mental wrestling to convince Nagito that it’d be ok for him to date anyone, let alone the Ultimate Ultimate. You’d need to convince him that his happiness isn’t always tied to his luck. Dare I say, you’d have to make it so that him being treated with respect and even affection isn’t an exception anymore, just a normal part of life, thus not something he'd feel overly lucky to have. (That one would be more of a collective, long term effort though)

It’s a very arduous task, especially with how unconvinced Nagito probably would be. ESPECIALLY especially if you take into account the fact that you’re on a goddam timer because of his illness.

There is a possibility that Nagito feels more of an equal to the others post game though, since they were all bad guys and thus, all much closer to his own perceived level of trash (not a particularly good way to think, but it's a start nonetheless) I can see everyone working on themselves and their guilt and learn to forgive themselves for the horrible things they all did, and Nagito on the side being like “you all are doing such a good job!” Without realising that he could apply this to his own existence… though he would probably think it can’t apply to him. In his head, he'll forever be trash.

At the end of the day, I think the quickest way for them to make this happen is for Hajime to bring up his talents and basically tell Nagito that his luck is nothing compared to his own luck, and therefore can’t hurt anyone with it. Althought it's probably the most convincing argument in Nagito's eyes, one might wonder if it's really the best solution for these two, especially for Hajime who most likely has his own bagage to unpack regarding his talents. Like, first of all, is Nagito in love with him or the hope his existence apparently brings to the world? Or maybe even Izuru? There's just.... So much to take into account man

Tl;dr komahina is a really cool concept and they totally fall in love but the real challenge is HOW they end up dating because i can't see Nagito allowing that to happen so easily. To me it would either take an extraordinary amount of hard work AND/OR use Hajime's talent flex. But then is that really a good solution when Hajime probably has a complicated relationship with his talents?

Not saying that it's impossible but yeah. It's so hard to pinpoint how ! And I still feel like I'm missing some parameters !

I mean not to spoil but Naomi is literally taken to the Entity’s realm and Denali is taken there simply because her need to find her friend is so strong!!!!

Like she doesn’t care that she’s being killed every single day

And loves her friend so much that she’s willing to be permakilled to get her back home

Actually makes each other better rather than making each other worse.

They love each other for who they are including all of their flaws and they would be number one if Denali and Naomi didn’t have a relationship that goes above and beyond.

Like 80 years from now the two will be old and grey and still acting as if they’re in the honeymoon phase

From an unpublished Doctor who fanfiction that I am in the process of writing

Here is where we’re getting into the ohhhh this relationship is kinda toxic really

And it’s a shame they’re number THREE on the list lmao what does that say about my writing?

They are constantly arguing (90 percent not in a serious way)

And Eden sort of sees the Doctor as a God due to how they met which puts him on a pedestal

BUT the relationship doesn’t start off romantic which I think is healthy for them

And they are both fiercely protective of one another due to how long she’s spent traveling with him

So while she does see him as a God it isn’t in a very obvious or serious way unless you can see inside of her head as she doesn’t treat him as such at all.

Also a very goofy relationship overall

4) Grace x Seth Clearwater (unnamed fic)

It’s an unwritten and unnamed Twilight Fic that I might post when I’m done with the whole thing lmao

The only reason they’re number four is that I think that him imprinting on her is taking away his choice

Like yes they would probably still end up together regardless of if he had the ability to imprint or not because they’re soulmates

But him having the trait does take away the ability to actually choose

Like it’s literally a one look and that’s it thing. It forces you to live someone platonically or not so he doesn’t have a say in the matter

BUT the two do genuinely love each other so so so much that after their angst is done they’re inseparable

Which again sorta toxic when it’s a codependent relationship but they actually RARELY argue

Seth is actually so sweet that again after the angst is done they might have an argument once every like 5 years.

5)Quinn x Spencer Reid (Baby Blue)

From my Criminal minds fic that is currently posted on ao3 that I am debating on posting here.

Actually they argue so often

If he hadn’t have gotten her pregnant in a one night stand they would have still met and would have a love hate relationship

Like without the baby they would be an enemies to lovers trope but instead he immediately and accidentally got her pregnant so now they’re stuck with each other

Do genuinely love each other and after they finally figure out that they have feelings for each other everything calms down

But with her being pregnant and them not being in a relationship and then the jealousy and miscommunication everything is just toxic

Like could they tell each other that they accidentally fell in love with the other and they wanna try to have a relationship?

Yes.

Will they?

No.

But again after the drama they’re actually a very affectionate couple that manages to keep their passion into their old age

While he isn’t a main main character he serves to be the Jacob of the plot but they actually date and he doesn’t force himself on her or fall in love with her future child :)

Kinda boring but not toxic at all until Emmett enters the mix

They’re stable and comfortable and honestly would be endgame if it wasn’t for Emmett

She loved him and he loved her not much else to say. They’re low because they break up lmao

Sorry for this ramble, but seriously. It’s largely people being upset about *their own anticipation* of racism. (Doesn’t make the prequel inherently racist! Feelings are valid, but they aren’t fact!) Yet they still blog about spn, which was racist at many times and in many ways. One thing that will always haunt me is the evil leafy fanfics I wrote in 2018/2019. Probably majority of my online friends followed me because of a fancomic I made in 2018-2019 that was basically evil leafy slasher thing. I didn’t even draw evil leafy correctly. My art was. Well, it was bad. But I’ve NEVER been tagged in as much posts as I did when I made that comic. People drew fanart for it.. People barely ever draw me anything anymore 😅 besides like close friends occasionally. However I don’t really draw much for others either so who am I to complain?

But that comic is not really growing at all. Nobody is learning if it’s existence anymore tbh. But yknow what is??!?!?!? My evil leafy fanfic from 2019. I remember when I first was posting it it was like super high up on the bfdi tag on Wattpad, I’m pretty sure it got in the top ten at some point.. maybe even to number one but I don’t really remember, that was ages ago. Currently it’s in the top 200s.

I haven’t updated it since uhm. 2020 I think? Maybe 2019? Every few weeks I’ll get back into Wattpad and there always seems to be more notifications for it. And like yeah I’m glad people like it but like. There are so many things I’m putting effort into NOW that barely get an ounce of the recognition my poorly written evil leafy fanfics got/get.

It’s just so odd. They aren’t like super duper ultra popular, but compared to most of my other stuff… they are?

I was re-watching the show and when Midge gets the flowers from Lenny, I love that she seems skeptical about them, inspecting them… like she’s expecting a prank or a joke out of them. I think that even though their chemistry is so electric Lenny knows his feelings for her, but he seems so farfetched to her that she isn’t even aware of her feelings for him, or his feelings for her either. I feel like she doesn’t even think “them” are a possibility.

Yes, what you're saying fits perfectly with my post with my thoughts on the fight specifically. It really seems like Lenny is consciously smitten, but not Midge. She can't see how far he's gone for her, which is why she didn't go inside the apartment with him in Miami. They were both a bit inebriated (him more so than her, and I *love* that she can hold her liquor much better than him), they'd had an adventurous night that had culminated in a very sexually-charged dance and she held back in the end because she didn't wanna be another of Lenny's conquests. In her head, it would have been just sex, because she can't really see him being "serious" with anyone, and I bet she'd have no problem with it had it been any other guy, but not Lenny. Not someone she respects and appreciates and really adores so much.

Lenny *is* somewhat aware of how much he wants her, which is why he was so upset waking up in her fancy apartment. How could he let her see him in such a state that he needed to be rescued from some sidewalk? How could a poor, alcoholic, drug-addicted bastard like him ever be worthy of being in that world, in that home, with a well-adjusted three-generation family and a maid...in her life? You know? Midge sees absolutely no problem with any of it because he *is* part of her life. He's one of her dearest friends, one of her favorite people in the whole world, and OF COURSE she didn't hesitate in bringing him home to take care of him. When he left like he did, she was mad maybe in a small part because he was being ungrateful, but most of it was probably because she took that "this isn't my scene" as if he was saying she was way too rich and proper, way too square, not, you know, "cool" enough for him to even want to be around any of it.

TL; DR: Lenny feels insecure because he feels he's unworthy of Midge's "day life" (which to him is probably the "real" her) and she is way out of his league. Midge doesn't let herself even consider the possibility that she may be in love with Lenny because she doesn't feel nearly as cool enough, like, you know, he's way out of her league.

Sparbossa Brainrot Part 9: I Do The Most

Okay so I meant to put this up way earlier but I kept fucking forgetting because I just keep staring at my docs and trying to will myself to write something but alas it isn’t happening. So more pirate gays it is!

Starting off with more divorcee bickering! Everyone present is watching them like a tennis match and it’s the funniest fucking thing to me this is prime time pirate entertainment I bet their divorce was front line gossip for months. On a more serious note though, it amuses me that Barbossa says this despite not seeing Jack for like 10 years post-mutiny. And he’s right, is the thing; Jack does prioritize getting the hell out of dodge rather than seeing a fight through. The only time (up till now at least) that he didn’t was when he was hellbent on killing Barbossa. The things obssession will do to you eh :)

This is the equivalent of if a couple world leaders interrupted a world summit on live TV to have a marital fight btw

I used to quote this a lot growing up. The dramatic zoom in on him is what really makes it

Most everyone in the room agree with him so wholeheartedly and Barbossa is just "I fucking hate every single one of you and I hate him the most"

They drop quite a few clues as to Teague and Jack's relation before it’s properly revealed: their appearance, the musical motif, Jack's reaction to Teague being called upon, and now the sea turtles line - which we have, of course, heard Jack use before and was something Will picked up in DMC

Look at Barbossa bowing all pleased with himself. And Jack's just "absolutely not lemme look at this fucking book" and Teague - who definitely knows these two are divorcees - backs up to let him (this acts as another hint to their relation, btw, since Teague allows him to touch the book without permission first)

The reactions following this are simply sublime. Even Elizabeth and Gibbs are stunned. Barbossa called in Teague to enforce the code and Jack's gonna use that to his advantage for no other reason than to piss off Barbossa honestly

Teague's words here, I think, are what ultimately cause Jack to save Will's life in the end. Because as much as he acts the part of being aloof and uncaring he really wouldn't be able to live with himself if he let Will die. He likes the kid too much

The crew: raucous battle cries Barbossa: now how can I use this to free Calypso

Jack is the first to notice the size of the armada

EVERYONE TURNING TO BLAME JACK BECAUSE HE'S THE ONE WHO MADE ELIZABETH KING LMAO

Obviously it's extremely badass for Elizabeth to have these two on either side of her acting as guards and helpful liasons but Jack is placing himself away from Barbossa for strategic reasons because he does, in fact, plan on being bargained away himself which was a big part of why he voted Elizabeth for King and Barbossa can't immediately throttle him for it like this lol

Barbossa is stepping further forward in this shot, putting him in front of the other two, and Jack is also moving faster than Elizabeth - given they have a lot more experience than her in such affairs it makes sense they would be in front of her as they walk so they can react quicker

Took me a couple of attempts to get this but our boys are near perfectly in time with their steps and even plant their feet the exact same way, widening their stances, where Elizabeth keeps hers closer together, because she is still a woman from high class and you can't get rid of those traits just by knowing pirates for a year

Barbossa is the first to roll his head lazily over to Jack's direction, whereas Elizabeth is more of a quick snap. It took her a second or two longer than Barbossa - who immediately got Beckett's meaning - to catch up with what was being said which is why her head snaps so hard to the side in comparison to Barbossa's seething roll

Will basically outright acknowledging that he's been following Jack's lead on this ever since their talk on The Pearl before Jack had him fall overboard is a nice way to show that the lengths he's willing to go to achieve his ends

Beckett revealing he is in possession of Jack's compass is the only thing Barbossa needs to connect the dots here and figure out what Jack's trying to do. This is around the moment you see him decide to just cut the Piece of Eight off himself the second he gets the chance

Barbossa being set off the side from this trio shows that, while Elizabeth is mainly focused on Jack's involvment with Will, Barbossa himself is analysing the bigger play going on behind the scenes

Elizabeth finally catches up to what Jack's plan is the moment Davy mentions the debt and thus this is why she is so quick to bargain Jack. Will himself even offers her a sly smirk when he sees that recognition. Willzabeth parallel Sparbossa with the wordless convo that passes between them here

Barbossa's attention is, as we've seen many times now, completely focused on Jack but he does do a rapidfire double take that is too quick for me to catch when Elizabeth "proposes an exchange"

While he was trying to analyse whatever the fuck Jack was planning, ultimately he ended up being a step behind because he was so focused on Jack that he failed to see the microexpressions passing between Willzabeth. Neat parallels to when Willzabeth were so focused on eachother in BP they never took notice of what Sparbossa were doing

Now obviously Jack is playing up that he is "against" this ploy buuuut he can't resist giving Barbossa a smug smirk anyways before turning his attention back to Elizabeth which

Leads us to this (notice how Jack's positioning when he bowed means his bow was meant to be a mocking gesture to Barbossa rather than a respectful one to Elizabeth) and I can't help but feel that this was a personal revenge for when Jack cut his hat feather back in BP

Naturally, because this is an ongoing 10D chess game where everyone around them are the pieces on the board and Sparbossa are the players, Jack's smugness doesn't last for long once his Piece is taken from him but what we do get

Is whatever the fuck kinda tension and foreplay they got going on here now that they're back on even ground again (for real though can you back up a bit fellas because you'd be in kissing distance if Jack leant forward even a little good god there's bystanders present)

Bonus live Will reaction to the above

Genuinely I think Will's face here is him going "what the fuck is up with you two" and Jack's answering reply is basically ( ͡~ ͜ʖ ͡°)

Doesn't fear it enough to abandon Will though! You could do a whole separate meta about how Jack's loyalty runs deep once given but alas I'm not here for that

Elizabeth and Inigo Montoya would be friends I think. Also look at Barbossa watching his fledgling threatening a man they grow up so fast :')

Now that Will has proven himself to be as shrewd a man as Jack himself, Barbossa gives him a mean, distrustful look as he turns to follow Elizabeth and even takes extra steps to back himself up so he's standing in front of Will to give him The Full Stare before walking past him. It's about the theatrics it's about the drama

Elizabeth is now leading because she's fully embraced being the King whereas before she was walking side by side with Jack and Barbossa but her steps were a little behind their own. And now Will is walking in Jack's place so symbolically he is no longer Jack's "pupil" you could say (there's a reason I'm not saying the same for Elizabeth yet I'm waiting for a specific moment to happen shhh)

Barbossa may have gotten what he wanted from Jack but he is pissed about not having Jack himself here and even turns to throw one last near-snarl in Jack's direction. Kinda funny how both him and Beckett want Jack in this movie. Food for thought on that one, eh?

Remember in the past when Jack said he tells the truth quite often but people never believe him? I think that's applicable here actually. A lot of the time he does genuinely know what he's doing it's just that his thought process is so crazy to an outside perspective (barring Barbossa's of course) it's easy to see him as a lucky idiot instead of a fucking genius

Love the little detail here where you can see exactly where Barbossa cut his bandana to get the Piece of Eight just like how Barbossa's hat is still missing the big Ostrich feather that Jack cut back in the first movie

Barbossa has kept himself in boiling silence this whole time and only speaks again when Elizabeth mentions using The Pearl as a flagship. Course by this point his crew have begun bringing Tia Dalma to the deck for The Ritual (this also means that at some point on the way back he overtook Willzabeth and marched to The Pearl by himself)

There's a sharp head turn when Will speaks up but his anger doesn't truly spike until Jack is mentioned. Hell hath no fury like a divorcee scorned
